Tracking user actions inside Compliance Calibrator

Good day everyone
I am currently working on a CC5.2 implementation and I was wondering if there was any way to track user activities, to be more precise:
1- who created mitigation control X
2- who mitigated risk X for user Y
etc...
Im working on an implementation for a client that already had custom ABAP SOD tools that would output reports assigned to different reviewers, each action was tracked through the process and reviewers/approvers had to signoff along the process so people were accountable..
So far, the only way I found to trace who did what was by the way roles/authorisations will be separated between the Netweaver users, since I'm new to this platform maybe I am missing something.
Any help is appreciated, thank you
Jay

  • How can I track user actions on a Lion Server?

I have over 200 users on a Lion Server; about 30-35 are logged in to the server at any given time. I would like to track their interactions with the server. Specifically, I would like to be able to find out which user last opened, modified, moved, or deleted a file or folder. Is there any way to do this?

    Hi Linc,
I'm experiencing the same problem. I've installed a new 10.9 server and migrated from a 10.6.8 server.
Steps taken on the server so far: done "mdutil -E /" and "mdutil -i /"
    The output on a client:
    Indexing enabled.
    /Volumes/ARCHIEF_BACKUP_A:      Server search enabled.
    /Volumes/ARCHIEF_BACKUP_B:      Server search enabled.
    /Volumes/ARCHIEF_BACKUP_C:      Server search enabled.
    /Volumes/DATATANK:      Server search enabled.
    /Volumes/KLANTENSCHIJF:      Server search enabled.
    /Volumes/WEBSITES:      Server search enabled.
No luck yet in getting search results on a client computer...

  • Reports that track user actions in DMS

    Hi-
Does anyone know if there are reports that would provide information about who has viewed, checked-out, check-in and copy (Shift+F7) documents in the content server?
Thanks for your assistance, in advance!  (And I reward points!)
    -J

    Athol and Christoph-
Thank you both for your answers!  And while it does provide me some of the data I am looking for, it is missing some of the data I need.
I also need to provide if someone viewed and/or copied the file.  I was thinking of turning on the full trace on the content server to log which files were accessed.  This would tell me if a document was viewed, but it wouldn't tell me what exactly happened to the document.
I know that SAP help says that I shouldn't leave the full trace on in the production environment.  So, I am not sure that it is a good idea.  Any ideas of why they say it is a bad idea to leave the full trace on?
    Thanks again-

  • How to Modify the WD4J components of Compliance Calibrator

    Hi,
I would like to modify the Mitigated Users WEBDYNPRO-JAVA Compliance Calibrator components(GRC). Please let me know the procedure for the same.
If we have NWDI can we modify it?
Is there a separate .sca file for Mitigated Users?
Are there any dependencies for the components related to  Mitigated Users, if so what are they?
Please provide me the step by step information to modify the GRC components.
    Thanks,
    Jhansi Miryala

You cannot change any GRC AC applications, as the source code is not made public.
Any changes you make will not be supported by SAP.

  • Is Compliance Calibrator the same as GRC Access Control?

I have been asked to look at<b> Compliance Calibrator </b>and am getting confused about what functionality is offered. I have done the basic e-learning course for Compliance Calibrator (GRC200): this was all about separation of duties etc. Fair enough. But I also have a Document called "<b>SAP GRC Access Control</b>" which talks about the same S.O.D compliance functionality but also talks of "roles triggering workflows", "users creating roles", "automated approvals for roles" eg:
"SAP GRC Access Control streamlines access requests by filling each request automatically with user identity information from a lightweight directory access protocol (LDAP) directory or HR database, thereby eliminating the need for user intervention. Approvers receive an e-mail with a direct hyperlink to the request inside the application, where they can easily view and approve the request. The application then checks for security violations before updating accounts  automatically."
None of this was covered on the Compliance Calibrator course, so what product offers this? I can see another product by Virsa called <b>Access Enforcer</b> but have no info on this... can anyone enlighten me?

SAP GRC Access Control is the SAP application that comprises the former Virsa products Compliance Calibrator, Access Enforcer, Risk Terminator, Firefighter and Role Expert.

Basically, this is the administrator role for the UME that we have in the development environment currently.
When we attempt to log on to the Compliance Calibrator, we get logged out immediately.
We do not even see the top bar of the compliance calibrator UI.
I have checked the SDN forums and according to the developers here, it is because there is no JAVA role assigned to the user but we have assigned all the actions to the user.
Do advise if there is a step that we have missed out during the user creation.

    Hi Chee,
I'm installing Compliance Calibrator 5.1 on WAS7.0. now when i configure the administrator role for Portal user, I'm not able to see any of the com.virsa.cc actions in available actions list.
In the inst guide for CC 5.2 it suggests a alternate method to upload a role file UME Roles file, UMERoles_CC52.txt. Where can we find this file for CC5.1.
Help me on this issue. I'm really troubled due to this with no leads at all.
    Please suggest me a way.
    Thanks,
    Vishal.

  • Compliance calibrator

    Hello Friends,
    1. What is the exact meaning of mitigation in CC
    2. Where can i get the free trial software of Compliance Calibrator & Access Enforcer,
    Thanks
    karunakar

    Hi Karunakar,
'Mitigation' tab in CC is an area where multiple actions related to Mitigation Control can be performed. Such as Creating Mitigation Control, Assigning risks to MC, Mitigate Users, Mitigate Roles etc.
Unfortunately, there is no IDES version for GRC.  You may have to contact SAP or an Vendor to get a trial version.

  • Tutorial - how to track user progress in a Captivate movie

I wanted to start working with the new scripting capabilities
in Captivate 4 and thought a good first project would be to create
a set of variables and custom actions and execute the actions based
on the state of the variables. I wrote up a description/walkthrough
with screenshots and the source .cp is downloadable here:
    http://elearninglive.com/wordpress/2009/01/tracking-user-progress-in-captivate-4-using-var iables-and-actions/
Hopefully it proves useful to others!
A couple of things I mention at the bottom of the post in
regards to the new features in CP4:
    1. The actions window is amazingly slow once you add more
than a handful of actions. Perhaps it's just my machine? I have a
very fast machine with lots of ram, but perhaps it's something
    unique to my environment?
    2. You can't 'chain' actions. In other words, you cannot use
'execute multiple actions' setting to execute user-created actions,
just the built-in ones, which seems to me a pretty big limitation.
I had to work around it.
    3. As an add-on to #1 above - there is no way to
import/export code. Since the actions window is so slow it would be
ideal if we could just import code written in a text file, or
better yet, have a simple code editor (like the actions panel in
    Flash).
My 2 cents, fwtw, as a new CP4 user....

The biggest problem Authorware had was poor marketing. Second
    was it had no
way to natively create the eye-candy that Flash was wowing
    the world with.
Third, there was no attempt by Macromedia modernise
    Authorware with a lot of
very basic things that would have made a huge difference to
    everyone's
    perception of the tool
Fourth, Marketing kept telling people Authorware was dead,
    from about
Authorware 5. I think the Flash team was on a bonus for
    converting people

I think it is clear to those of us that have had to move to
    Captivate from
Authorware that Captivate is *very* lacking in specific
    advanced features
and functionality that old hands are used to. As with any
    product, users are
bombarding adobe with requests that boost the power and scope
    of Captivate.
    It's a natural progression.

I agree - but it is a lot closer this time around :-)

  • Custom report on Compliance Calibrator Job scheduler

Currently in compliance calibrator it is not possible for a user to view the status, success or otherwise, of another users scheduled job or sync unless granting that user full administrator rights.
Please advise if it's possible to expose the underlying scheduled job table for a given system via a custom built static html web page. Can you advise of the table that results would need to be displayed from and whether there would be any drawbacks of this approach, or if others have somehow solved this problem with another solution, please share?!

  • Track user changes in customized transparent table

    Greetings..
How do i to track user changes in my table ? is there any master table that keep track changes made by user on the specific field.? Is there possible if the table have the original and changed data.

i got the below explanation from other thread, which has explained by an expert, so, take it as reference and interprete according to ur req.
    BEGIN
    Table Events:
Go to SE11 and open your Ztable
click on the Table maintenance generator.
you can find the function group. right
Take the Function group name and go to Tcode SE37
    and open the Function Group.
In the Status of the small window of the Function
    group display
you can find out change requests , Main program and
    Function group Docu tabs.
Click on Main program and create user defined Include.
    check the sample code below
    Click on main program
    Create user defined include
    User-defined Include-files (if necessary). *
    INCLUDE LZPHIRF... " Subprograms
    INCLUDE LZPHIRO... " PBO-Modules
    INCLUDE LZPHIRI... " PAI-Modules
    Create the below include.
    INCLUDE LZPHIRI01. " PAI-Modules
Double click on the Include name. you have the below
    code
    Loop at Extract.
    module liste_init_workarea.
    chain.
    field fild1
    field fild2
    field fild n
    module set_update_flag on chain_request.
You have to add a new module here
    check the below code
    *----User defind module
    Module user_defind_validation.
    endchain.
Double click on module write code in that.
    Include <Include Name> *
    *& Module user_defind_validation
    Module user_defind_validation.
Here you can write your own validations.
    field2 = field1 /2.
    field4 = field1 /4.
    if field4 field3.
    message.
    endif.
    EndModule. "user_defind_validation
Events allow you to change the generated table
maintenance dialog at predefined positions, which
cannot be reached by user modules in the screen flow
    logic.
The user routines are called dynamically at runtime.
For this reason, the routines must be in a user include
in the table/view maintenance dialog function group.
All extended table maintenance global data is available.
An interface is only required for events 22 and AF.
The events can be additions or replacements.
    Additional events
Event 01 before saving the data in the database

  • M60 Shutdown without user action

    Hello,
i use a Satellite M60 Notebook with Win XP and i bought this notebook on 11/15/2005.
I use an actuell anti-virus software and some anti-sypware tools.
But from the first use of the notebook it shutdown without user action.
I can't solve the problem because the settings for the notebook are "Desktop" and "Never Shutdown" for the harddisk and monitor in the energyoptions.
"Standby" is set on "never" too.
I thought, that the Toshiba tools are the problem and so i uninstall them, but this didn't solve the problem.
Who have had the same problem and solved it?
    Many thanks for all answers.
    Wolfgang

    Hi
Well, one of the reasons why the notebook shuts down without any user action is a overheating issue. If the temperature goes to a critical limit inside of notebook so the OS shuts down the unit and protect it.
Well, its not easy to say why it happens. Maybe the cooling modules dont work properly.
I see that your notebook is under warranty and all replacements and repair procedures will be done for free. In this case I propose to contact the ASP (Toshiba service partner). He can make some diagnostic test and replace some parts if its necessary.
But first of all I would recommend to recover the unit with the Recovery CD for testing if its a software or hardware issue.
    Bye

  • SAP GRC 5.2 Compliance Calibrator rule sets for HR module

    HI All,
The company i am working for has done installation of GRC 5.2. I would like to download the SAP out of box Compliance Calibrator rule sets for HR function module in a spreadsheet format.
I would like to download the rule set for risks at Function level, Tcode level and also at authorization object level in ABAP and Roles, actions and permissions in JAVA.
I will discuss with the BPAs, internal auditors and come up with a new rule set exclusively for my company needs with the help of the above spreadhseet.
Please tell me what steps i need to do to get this thing done.

Please go through the process but save these as txt files for UNIX. I am not sure about 5.2 but CC4 was not uploading rule files correctly if file was not saved for TXT for UNIX.
    Regards,
    Harry Sidhu

  • Convert from Compliance Calibrator 4.0 to Risk Analysis and Remediation 5.2

    Hello Forum,
I'm looking for other opinions on converting Compliance Calibrator (CC) 4.0 to Risk Analysis and Remediation (RAR) 5.2 (formerly CC)
I have inherited responsibility for RAR and need to upgrade it to the 5.2 level; our current ECC level prevents us from going to 5.3
I found a process that will unload the data from CC 4.0 and be imported into RAR 5.2
I want to understand the definitions that comprise the RAR and was thinking about recreating the definitions in 5.2 based on what is already defined in the CC 4.0 system; I have time to do this since there is no definitive deadline that would make it impossible to meet
Currently, I have the following definitions:
    Business Process 6 entries
    Functions 47 entries
    Risks 147 entries
    Mitigating Controls 40 entries
Would others find this approach acceptable and reasonable even though I would be entering all the information? Basically, it would be like defining the data for the very first time if this was NEW software
I would expect to come away with a good understanding of how everything ties together; at this point, I am only looking to create the necessary data that would allow for producing SOD reports that show all users with "risks" have been mitigated with acceptable controls
Thanks for your responses in advance

    Thanks for the reply
I have the migration guide and have reviewed it; I have actually played around a bit with obtaining the file from CC 4.0; I found that the data records may need some adjustments to be compatible with RAR 5.2; one of the reasons that may be leading me to do everything from scratch
The definitions currently defined were completed by an outside source and the mitigated controls were defined by the Internal Audit area
I'm not sure if they were mixed with the defaults
I'm not sure at this point what impact or changes I would experience if I use the "default" supplied rules set but I expect to find out
    Thanks again for your reply

  • Tracking User Progress for Multi Module Movie

I am working with Isaac Tabe's article on creating a menu slide which updates a user progress, yes I know I could use the TOC and aggregator functions but that's not what I am looking for. In his scripting it runs on slide enter. My assumption is that this is because you will have all your different "modules" on other slides which would trigger the script to run when they jumped back.
My question is this... Does anyone know if/or how the script can be set to run the check for completion if I am only calling an external file (Word and Excel in this case) from the module button, rather than jumping to a different slide? I see no way of triggering the script when the button is clicked for that madule in the multi user actions. The only solution I could come up with was to jump to a slide in every case, and then have the slide I am going to open the file on slide enter.
    Thanks for your input everyone!

Can't help much with Captivate settings but.. best thing to start with is to look at the full tracking information in Moodle that is attached to a particular user that has completed the SCORM. Does it look like anything there might be showing that sort of information?
in Moodle 2.6 (releases Nov 2013) we added a new objectives report which displays cmi.objectives data in a nice clear manner - if your SCORM package is reporting on objectives that might help.
