Traffic lights ( ICONs)

Hi frnds,
I am printing the Traffic lights ( Red, Yellow, Green) in the ALV report using the ICON symbol.
The same output i am generating in the layout through smartforms. But I am not able to print the ICONs (Red, Yellow, Green) in the layout. I am getting those as Hexadecimal values. Is there any other way to display without upload those images thru SE78?
Points will be rewarded for helpful answers.
Regards,
Balu

create a TEXTELEMENT in the smartform   there you will find
include--> character->SAPICONS
There  you can select the traffic lights you need.
if you want to display these lights for certain conditions  write
th condition in thcondition tab of the same text element.
Reward if useful.

  • How to insert Traffic light icon in Table UI column

    Hi Expert,
    I am not able to put traffic light icon to table UI's column.
    Can any one help me.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Anil

    Hi,
    For that column of the TABLE, while create BInding option, give the UI element as Image type.
    In the Layout tab of the view, for that column, cell editor give the Image source as the
    ICON......
    Clarify this -
    Do you want to show this icon on any condition basis or ?
    Out of 6 oclumns for which column you want the traffic light icon...
    Hope you got this.

  • Traffic light icon (start/stop preconfigured OC4J) in JDeveloper 10.1.3.3

    Searched the forums and couldn't find this previously posted. I installed the base J2EE Edition of JDeveloper 10.1.3.3 on Solaris and had the start/stop preconfigured OC4J (Traffic light) icons on the menu. When I installed the Windows Install J2EE Edition of JDeveloper 10.1.3.3 on a Windows 2000 machine and started up JDeveloper, the icons are not displayed in the icon menu. Does anyone know the reason for this?
    thanks,

    Don't know how to delete this post, so I will just reply to it. You can disregard this post. I inadvertently downloaded the J2EE version vice the Studio version. Sorry and thanks! rick

  • Traffic light icons in UWL

    Dear Experts,
    We have a request to show an icon in the workitems depending on the value of an element.The idea is an icon red is the date of that element is overdue, yellow if the date is in a range and green if the date is in another range. As we also have to implement UWL we would like to know if it is possible to do this in UWL and how can we show this icons depending on the value of the element. We have set up the basus UWL configuration and we get workitems and alerts. But even in alerts with priority high and I don´t get any icon.
    Where and how it is configured this options in alerts and would it be also possible in workitems and not just in alerts?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards

    Hi Whity,
    I do not have access to any mobile systems now to check. But I remember I saw the traffic lights in AMT.
    Check the way SAP has used it in standard. You might get an idea on how you can reuse it in your application.
    Thanks,

  • How to change the Traffic light positioning in ALV?

    Hai All,

    If you are using EXCP_FNAME in the ALV layout to display your traffic lights, it may not be possible to move your light field to any other position..
    One possiblity is to define your own field (as icon) in the internal table and assign the Traffic light icon to that field... By this approach, you can position that field in any place in your input structure while generating field catalog or defining your structure
    Here is an example with SALV,
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/Snippets/displayingiconsinalvusingclasscl_salv_table
    Example with icons in REUSE FM (can be used in ALV OO) and there should be umpteen examples in SDN also

  • Web item analysis Modification -- Traffic lights

    Hi all,
    I am using BI 7.0 WAD and I would like to display traffic lights icons in the data of web template.
    I was able to do this in 3.5 by using a super class CL_RSR_WWW_MODIFY_ TABLE and modifying the CHARACTERISTIC_CELL field.
    Then i used to add <param name="MODIFY_CLASS" value="myclass"/> into the table item object tag.
    But this was using table interfaces.
    In BI 7.0, the table interfaces are replaced by Web Interfaces and hardly find any help documentation as it is very very limited.
    I am trying to display images (traffic lights) for specific characteristic values
    zstatus = g then display green
    zstatus = y then display yellow
    zstatus = r then display red
    Could some one please help me resolve this issue.
    Thanks a lot
    Phani.

    Table Interface Class was a wonderful thing wasn't it ... such a pity they took that functionality away from us ... maybe one day they'll bring it back.
    Back to your question ... you could use exception reporting in the query. In the query you should be able to specify that when a certain value is encountered, then show that cell in a certain colour, or show a symbol.
    Alternately, the best way I have found to date to replicate table interface functionality, is to write some JavaScript that will process the HTML once it has loaded. There is no reason why you couldn't have some script to go through your table and check the values in a certain column. I have written JavaScript to perform custom calculations  in a certain column, so you could use a similar approach to simply check the value of the cell, and then change the contents to an image instead of a value.
    Hope this helps you .
    Cheers,
    Andrew

  • TRaffic light with tooltips

    hi all,
    alv output has traffic lights icon.
    I want diiferent tooltips to come depending upon the color of light( red, green and yellow)
    Can anybody help me ...

    You can bind the selection of which variant have to be used to the column itself or
    add a new column to your node which is only for this purpose.
    have a look at the ON_UPLOAD_COMPLETE method of the component controller
    of the WD4A component SALV_WD_DEMO_TABLE_CV.
    if l_erg eq 0.
    ls_data-cellvariant = 'TEXT_VIEW'.
    else.
    In some cases the field cellvariant is set to text view.
    Go down in the method you will find this:
    loop at lt_columns into ls_column.
    *... create textview cellvariant for each column
    data:
    lr_cv type ref to cl_salv_wd_cv_standard.
    create object lr_cv.
    lr_cv->set_key( 'TEXT_VIEW' ).
    data:
    lr_textview type ref to cl_salv_wd_uie_text_view.
    create object lr_textview.
    lr_textview->set_text_fieldname( ls_column-id ).
    lr_cv->set_editor( lr_textview ).
    ls_column-r_column->add_cell_variant( r_cell_variant = lr_cv ).
    ls_column-r_column->set_sel_cell_variant_fieldname( 'CELLVARIANT' ).
    Here the cellvariant is added to the column and the filedname that contains the
    variant to choose is set via set_sel_cell_variant_fieldname( 'CELLVARIANT' ).
    This mean that in each row the field cellvariant is checked and if it contains the
    text 'TEXT_VIEW' the cell variant is used.
    You could set up the tooltip of each cell editor you use for each cell vraiant. In the
    above example it wozuld be something like this:
    create object lr_textview.
    lr_textview->set_text_fieldname( ls_column-id ).
    lr_textview->set_tooltip( 'TOOLTIP FOR TEXTVIEW CELL VARIANT' ).
    Plz do reward points.
    Thanks
    Priyanka

  • Using InDesign CS6 onWindows PC.  Apple icon and traffic lights in L top corner are missing.

    Using InDesign CS6 onWindows PC.  Apple icon and traffic lights in L top corner are missing and so are some of the editing features.  I fixed this once before by accident but can't remember how I did it.  All I remember is it had something to do with the veiw % in other applications - I think!

    I've been using a tutorial that is obviously been done on a Mac.
    I used to have a link somewhere that was basically a list of all of the differences between the two platforms, but I can't lay hands on it. I'm sure if you asked us about the features that were missing or broken, we could answer fairly easily - you know, like "Preferences are under the InDesign menu on a Mac, but in Windows they're under Edit."
    The worst of these differences is in keyboard shortcuts - Macs have an extra modifier key, so whenever I switch platforms I always spend twenty minutes flopping my hands around and muttering uncomplimentary things about Cupertino and Redmond, at least until muscle memory takes over.

    change the icon color based on your requirement and append it to the internal table which you have to display in ALV.
