Tranportation Itme Category

Hi,
My client have a scenario wherein he has his own truck which he gives on hire to his customer Client wants to map the sales done thru Hiring of Truck in SAP. The system should do availablity check & if not available then with which customer it is lying with. Please guide me what material type, Item Category i should use. The price charged can be distance or weight or volume dependable (i.e. variant configuration) & also how should the pricing of the same should be done.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Mahendra

Dear Bala
This is really a different requirement )
Let me suggest to TRY with standard order process.
<b>1)  From FI / Sales Point of View
</b>
a)  Create Company Code and Sales area (Sales Org, DC & Div)
b)  Create customer masters to whoever material would be supplied
c)  Maintain pricing condition in VK11 for truck with different material combination like half truck, full truck
<b>2)  From MM point of view</b>
a)  Define the delivering point as plant and assign it to company code.  Also assign a shipping point and storage location to plant
b)  Define Vendors from whom your client would procure the material
b)  Maintain the truck as FERT in material master with item category as NORM/TAN.
c)  In CS01, create SALES BOM for this truck and assign whatever material your client would supply with "L" category
As of now, this much ideas has struck my mind and this also, I am not sure on the implications.  From the above, you can develop some more thoughts and test it.
Thanks

  • New iTMS Category not good for international Listeners

it made trouble, when I want to find the Podcast from another country, why they don't keep the international category, because like my Podcast is talk about food and beverage culture, if listener in type "Food" in search, who knows which Podcast from which country? Is it need to click all the Podcast to take time to look?

Hmmm.... I am not particularly buying the "Those categories overlapped with others in the old system, making some podcasts difficult to find" reasoning in Apple's mail to podcasters. The International tag highlights non English speaking, non-US based podcasts and provide publicity through the "top subscribed list". There is no reason to remove it, except to limit the exposure for non-English speaking podcasts.

    Hi
My requirement is: The item category N should allow me to use alternate UOM.
When i checked with Item category L, the system allows me to use alternate UOM. I need the same to work for Itm category N also.
Through  forums, i found that, in standard SAP, system will not allow to use alternate UOM for Item catedory N.
Is there any config settings to be done for my requirement?
    Kindly do the needful.

    Hi sameer ,
Looking at the error i would suggest to check your IMG settings for the PO document type linkage to PR and allowed Itm Category. IMG > MM> Purchase Order > Document type. In this select the Document type FO and check Item category allowed and Linkage to PR.  FO type PO should have been assigned to FO type  PR with relevant Itm cat. If not exists assign it.
Hope it answers your query and resolves the issues and don't forget to award the points if it helped you.

  • How to have multiple orders for a single contract

    Hi all, my question is:
How to have multiple orders with respect to a contract which is valid for many years? The orders are given periodically over the lifetime of the contract. Once the order is given, the order quantity needs to be confirmed and then the order needs to be billed.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Bappaditya,
To get multiple orders from a contract, you can either create an order as a follow up document from the contract
    Or
    Maintain the contract determination settings.
In such a case, everytime you create an order the contract determination happens, for the particular business partner and product.
For this to happen you need to maintain the customizing settings:
    1. Copy Control between contract and order
    2. Contract determination setting in the order transaction type
The qunatity confirmation can be done by standard setting at itme category level.i.e. If the quantity is more than that stated in the contract an error is raised.
For billing of order you will have to maintain the billing setings like billing type, biliing item category, billing item determination.
Hence every time your order is created it comes in the billind due list from where you can create the blling document.
    Wish the information is helpful.

  • Problem with Purchase Order receipt - Urgent

    Hi all,
Scenario - A purchase order with a six items has been released, four items have been recieved, fifth item was deleted & sixth item is packing & forwarding charges.
Problem - A change was done in the Mtl master for the packing & forwarding charges to ensure that a GR is not required for this item, but the same is not being reflected, as a query of Open PO's still shows this PO as open with the item packing & forwarding not received. How to resolve this?
    Vivek

    Stephen & Seema,
From your inputs i did get some picture, but here is more details about the problem am facing, maybe you can help me out with this,
The item packing & forwarding chgs has been declared as a material & in the BD-1 view of the Mtl Master, the General Item Category Grp has been set as 'Service w/o Dlvy' & this is causing the GR not to be ticked in the PO & hence it still says item yet to receive. I subsequently changed the status of Gen Itm Category to 'Service w/o Dlvy Confimration' & this ticks the GR. But the issue is, since the change in Material Master is done after the PO release, it is not changing the status in that PO.
And the query i am runing to check the open PO's is a customised query developed using SQ01.
Hope you are clear of my problem now & let me know what i can do

  • Third Party Items and Receiving Calendar

    Hi Gurus,
I have a question about third-party items and receiving hours.  I've searched this forum, OSS, and other sources, but I'm stumped.
First some background: our company ships product from stock and third-party items.  For each customer we maintain a single unloading point, and the receiving hours for this unloading point are the days the customer is open.
For stock items, we have transportation scheduling switched on.  SAP determines the delivery date for these items based on the route and the receiving calendar.
For example, assume an order is placed on Monday 9/24, we are using a 1-day route, and the customer is only open on Fridays.  The system will schedule the delivery for Friday 9/28 - based on the customer's receiving calendar.
For third-party items we have a committed 1-day delivery time from our vendors.  My problem is that in this case SAP does NOT consider the receiving calendar.  For example, if an order is placed on Monday 9/24 and the customer is only open on Fridays, the system will schedule delivery for Tuesday 9/25.
This is a big issue for us because we drop-ship refrigerated product to the customer.  If the product arrives on a day the customer isn't open, it will be damaged.
Does anyone know how to get SAP to consider the customer's receiving calendar for third-party items?
    Thanks
    Rick

    Hi Navneetha,
    Thanks for d reply.
I hv checked d mentioned tables and Itm Categories nothing is +ve there. All 3 itms hv TAS itm category. Also I agree with ur MIRO statement.
I found one thing which might b d cause plz check.
As we knw dat we cant change the schedule ln date and quantity once the Pur. Requisition created. and we cant make changes in sales order itm line if the PO is created for that Pur. Requisition. Bcoz afteward the PO wont be updating  the Pur Requsition and sales order automatically.
But here the schedule line date at d schedl ln category for itm 2 is changed by a certain Batch job after the PO cration.
Therefore I think this wd b d reason that the item line 2nd is not getting updated in sales order from the PO and looks open.
The change of schedule line dates is not maintained in the PO manually ever.
So would it b d reason for the inconsistent doc flow updates and 2nd item being open as not invoiced yet?

  • Problem with Purchase Order (PO) script

    Hi all,
I am having a problem in my PO layout.
In my layout when I take the print preview of the layout  for Purchasing Organization PAPL it shows me the Info record Text for only first item whereas it does not show it for other line items.
However when I double-click on the particular line item without changing any data of the PO,  and take print preview again it shows me the info record text for the first item and the line item I double clicked.
I am using the include statement
/: INCLUDE &TEXT& OBJECT EKPO ID F02 LANGUAGE EN PARAGRAPH P3 to fetch the info record text.
Here &TEXT& is PO number + Line item in concatenated form.
Also this does not happen for any other Purchasing  Organization.

  • Third party items are not invoiced totally though the MIRO done for all

    Hi Gurus,
I have a third party sales order with 3 item lines.
All these three items are delivered to the customer by the vendor and invoice verification MIRO also done for all three.
Now when the order related invoice creation background job run and invoice created for this order is missing the first line item in the invoice. I cant understand what is the problem with first item line? Order is now not in the invoice due list also. manually invoice creation also gives the log that the order is completely invoiced. But when we see the document flow for item line 1 it says the item line is yet open and not invoiced.
suggest me as the invoice posting is required for this item line also. suggest all the possible reasons.

  • Return to Vendor for Credit process - HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are trying to find what Oracle considers a best practice for the Return to Vendor for Credit process. I have heard some options but I would like the system to be able to track the returns and unissued credits. Any help would be appreciated.

It is possible to create delivery for non stock return PO item - I created one w/o any problem.
The shipping tab should be there for the PO item. If it is missing you won't get the delivery.
If the shipping tab is missing for non stock item but you get it for stock items (and everything is the same) then you should check e.g.:
    - whether the sales view (for suitable sales area (plant sales area)) exists for the material
    - whether fields on sales view are maintained properly (loading group, item category group)
    - whether item category determination for the return delivery is maintained (T184L) in relation to the itme category group in material master

  • FW order PR tp FW order PO conversion..

    Hi ..
i want to create a Framework Purchase order with reference to Frame work PR..
For that purpose , i have created A FW PR with itme category Standard..
But while converting in PO, i want item category to be B.i.e. limit.
System is not allowing to do this . so pls tell me the configuration needed for this..
    thanks

    Hi Akkshaya,
First you need to link the purchase requisition Document type and Item category with Purchase Order document type and item category, then only system will you to do the FW PO with reference to FW PR,
So goto SPRO-MM- Purchasing--Purchase requistion --Define document types.
So select the document type FO and link that to your other Purchasing document type which is available and also select the Item category as 'B' for both document type.

  • PC PLANNING

    Hi,
In CK11N for a material the price is pulling up from a net quatation price rather than Puchase order price. In purchase info record I can see both the values.
In the valuation variant the config is 1. PO price 2. Net quatation my assumption is only if the system couldn't find the PO price it should look for the quatation price. In the itme category it is - I - delivery cost.
Any idea why it is picking the net quatation instead of PO price?
    Thank you,
    Nivi

    HI,
Once you enter component detail in the BOM item details, it is not possible to spilit in CK11n seperately.
But, you can try the below work around.
let us say, my BOM component is X and using 100 pieces with scrap of 10%. So, CK11n will calculate as 110.
Maintain BOM with 2 line items like below.
    X-100 pieces and no scrap
    2nd line item X-10 pieces.
So,hopefully, you will have 2 line items in CK11n with 2 quanities. 2nd one is your scrap.

  • In-House Repair - PGR completes main item

I have created an in-house repair order in CRM and successfully replicated the corresponding REPA order in ECC.  I then create a return delivery and perform a post goods receipt.
When I go back to the CRM order, both the main item and sub-item show as status 'completed' and I cannot trigger further actions (e.g. Diagnosis) due to the completion status of the main item.
Has anybody encountered this and found a resolution?
    Thanks

    Hi Peter,
Once component is selected in In house repair. 2 line with Component material should also get populated one with itm category object type "CRM Customer Complaint Item" and second with "CRM Customer Return Item".
With reference to "CRM Customer Return Item" with reference to this material we can perform the in bound and later on use this for outbound delivery.
With Reference "CRM Customer Complaint Item" object type material click on "Return for Repair" button and relevant service product will get populated.

  • Video Podcast not showing up in Category listings on ITMS

I've created a video podcast, submitted it to ITMS, it was approved and has been available for 2 weeks now.
    My main category is INVESTING.
When I search the ITMS for my podcast by name, two of the three formats (iPod & iPhone) of my podcast are correctly listed (the HD version is curiously not listed in a search, but is available using the link provided by the ITMS).
But, when I browse the INVESTING category, none of them are listed.
When I view my podcast in the ITMS after searching for it, the categories appear to be set correctly (INVESTING, TRAINING) in each of them.
Why? What can I do to have it listed in the Category browse windows?
    Thanks!
    Doug
Message was edited by: Doug Forman

Sorry to say, but the "browse" feature in the iTMS seems to be on the fritz, with no immediate fix in sight. The category/subcategory listings appear to have a limit on the number of podcasts that are able to be displayed (about 1000), so until this is fixed or iTunes cleans house and gets rid of dead podcasts, you are unfortunately out of luck. Welcome to the club.
