Transaction Covers 2 events??

Hi, All
I am new to Forte just finishing 1 month's training.
Would any one give a hint How to do transaction which covers 2 events?
For example: if I click button START, then start transaction
then If I click button Commit, then end transaction.
How can I do this?

Right. That is exactly what I need to do. How do I make the rollout of one button independent from the rollover of another button? When I create a button (symbol), are there built-in "over' "out" "click" values that I need to fill in? Right now I am just pointing to frames...

what is understand from your error messages are
1. The status profile is not configured properly or assigned.
2. The subject profile is not configured properly or assigned to the transaction type.
3. You need to enter an activity partner in the transaction and even if you do not enter the trnsaction saves with error.
4.You have maintained the text as mandatory and you did not enter any text in that area.
I still did not undersatnd your partner function ORG field!!
You meant that you are not able to get the org unit determined in the transaction or what?
Please if you can be more clear as to what your are trying to do and what your requirement is then the forum will be quick to help you.

How to catch global transaction timeout event

Hi all,
I need to find a way to catch global transaction timeout events. By default, there are only two transaction related events can be caught:
.SysTransactionHeuristicAbort
.SysTransactionHeuristicCommit
Is there a way to add transaction timeout to the list. Thanks in advance.

AWE Transaction Configuration Event Notification Setup issue

AWE Transaction Configuration > Event > Notification Setup issue
On Final Denial Event has Notifications Option set to "Requester" "Both".
The Email URL is redirecting to the correct Approval Component mentioned under Approval Component in On Final Denial Event
But the Worklist URL is redirecting to another Component unlike the email URL, it is sending to a different component.
Why the same notifications via the same Event (On Final Denial) have two different URL's??

The worklist/notification component is defined on several places, where the "lowest" definition applies for the action being triggered.
1 AWE Transaction Configuration> Transaction Registry > Default Approval Component
2 AWE Transaction Configuration > Event
3 AWE Transaction Configuration > Event > Notification > Template Detail tab
Be aware that the Notification section in the Transaction Configuration shows 1 row in the grid, where more than 1 row can be defined. Click on the View all to expand the grid and see all notification defined for this event.
See if above configurations differ in menu, component, page ...

Transaction/event key (internal processing key) Posting transactions are predefined for those inventory management and invoice verification transactions relevant to accounting. Posting records, which are generalized in the value string, are assigned to each relevant movement type in inventory management and each transaction in invoice verification. These contain keys for the relevant posting transaction (for example, inventory posting and consumption posting) instead of actual G/L account numbers. You do not have to define these transaction keys, they are determined automatically from the transaction (invoice verification) or the movement type (inventory management). All you have to do is assign the relevant G/L account to each posting transaction. Account grouping (only for offsetting entries, consignment liabilities, and price differences) Since the posting transaction "Offsetting entry for inventory posting" is used for different transactions (for example, goods issue, scrapping, physical inventory), which are assigned to different accounts (for example, consumption account, scrapping, expense/income from inventory differences), it is necessary to divide the posting transaction according to a further key: account grouping code. An account grouping is assigned to each movement type in inventory management which uses the posting transaction "Offsetting entry for inventory posting". Under the posting transaction "Offsetting entry for inventory posting", you must assign G/L accounts for every account grouping, that is, assign G/L accounts. If you wish to post price differences to different price difference accounts in the case of goods receipts for purchase orders, goods receipts for orders, or other movements, you can define different account grouping codes for the transaction key. Using the account grouping, you can also have different accounts for consignment liabilities and pipeline liabilities. Valuation class of material or (in case of split valuation) the valuation type The valuation class allows you to define automatic account determination that is dependent on the material. for example: you post a goods receipt of a raw material to a different stock account than if the goods receipt were for trading goods, even though the user enters the same transaction for both materials. You can achieve this by assigning different valuation classes to the materials and by assigning different G/L accounts to the posting transaction for every valuation class. If you do not want to differentiate according to valuation classes you do not have to maintain a valuation class for a transaction.

I have a requirement to create a functionality of maintainance view (like SM30), but there are validations for Event 01. I know that this will create a new include program, but i have no idea on how to code the validations, for example if the company code field is blank, it will prompt an error message. Can i code:

Creation of a purchase order triggers the event ReleaseStepCreated twice

Hello,
I tried to use the standard workflow for the approval of a purchase order and noticed that i am receiving twice the same mail.
As you know, the workflow is triggered by the event ReleaseStepCreated. After I created a purchase order, i saw that the event is triggered twice, so that is why i am receiving two emails.
I believe this is wrong, Has anyone noticed this problem?

The event linkage contains only one record, which is the one that connects my workflow to the event. This is not the cause.
What do you mean by delegations? Are you talking about delegated objects? If yes, i do not have any.
I looked in transaction SWEC(events for changed documents), and i guess i found the cause. There is a record with change doc. object EINKBELEG with the event ReleaseStepCreated of the object BUS2012. It has the trigger event "On Create", and in the Function Module, in Event Container it has function FRE_ORD_EVENT_PO_DB.
I removed this record and now the event RELEASESTEPCREATED is triggered only once, so i think it is ok.
I guess this record existed before there. Do you have that record with the function module FRE_ORD_EVENT_PO_DB?Or do you know what is the use of this function?

BP grouping field validation in BP Transaction

Hi,
I have a requirement of validating BP grouping based on the BP Type entered by the user during partner creation. I am trying to do this by creating a custom FM and attaching it in BUS7 transaction for event DCHCK. However I am unable to fetch the data ( the new partner role and group ) entered by the user in the custom FM. I tried using the FM BUP_BUPA_MEMORY_GET_ALL and BUPA_GENERAL_CALLBACK. These are not returning any values.
Any help would be greatly appreciated guys...

Click on interface.....and double click on CHANGE_BEFORE_UPDATE.
This will activate the method. Put a break point.....save and activate.

Terminating Event Generate an Error

Hi All.
My custom workflow has asynchronous task where the terminating events trigger from ABAP program and passed some data.
This task will completed upon custom event "ACCEPTED" raised in the system based on certain keyfield and continue next steps.
Terminating events tab contains element WIOBJECT_ID and my custom event "ACCEPTED".
Binding is use standard element Binding details as per standards, &_EVT_CREATOR& --> &INITIATOR and &_EVT_OBJECT& --> &_WI_OBJECT_ID&
I though this is the only step that I need to do and of course wait step.
However when I test this terminating event via SWUE with proper object key, event trace transaction reported event "ACCEPTED" for task TS95000052 not defined as start/end event.
I check in instance linkage transaction, linkage is activated for my object type, "ACCEPTED" and receiver type "WORK ITEM".
Event type linkages between event and my asynchronous task also active.
Will someone give me a clue, what should I do to resolve this issue?

You cannot exit from a for loop until it is done. Use a while loop instead. Also, using the event structure in this case causes all kinds of exit problems. Try it and you will see what I mean. Instead, use the abort button itself. Put a case statement at the end to give the error output if the abort button was pressed. See attached vi.

Transaction F-59 - restriction if amount of payment is higher then total...

Hello,
I need little help with transaction F-59. To explain exactly with what I need help with, I will try to explain it through little example:
For vendor A I have due in amount of total 40.000 USD and I plan to pay this amount in three partial payments in one month:
I payment - 20.000 USD
II payment - 5.000 USD
III payment u2013 10.000 USD
And I enter all this partial payments without any problems but if for example on III payment I enter 11.000 USD instead amount of 10.000 USD there is no warning message which says something like "You can't pay 11.000 (more than you own ), you should enter 10.000 USD or less."
Way it is now, if i enter these 11.000 USD instead of 10.000 USD there isn't any warning message so it happens sometimes that I pay vendor more then I own him. I need help how to change this so there should be some limitation where I can't pay to my vendor more than I own him.
Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance for prompt replys.

Exit /BTE in F110 transaction

Hi Experts,
   My requirement is when we complete the payment run process using F110. In Assignment field of the payment document I need to populate the "payment document numbercompany codefiscal year".
   I tried this using the substitution but the problem is when it call the substitution till that point of time document number is not created hence not able to update the same.
   Please let me know is there is any Badi's, exit or BTE's which triggered after the payment document is generated. so that i can update same in the assignment field.

Transaction Timeout behaviour

I am doing some testing to reproduce a production scenario where we ended up with messages stuck in JMS queue in receive state ( weblogic 10.3.3)...
The flow is as below:
JMS Queue --> Transactional MDB with resource reference
The MDB makes a callout to http service . No read time out configured for the http invocation
Transaction Timeout : 10 minutes for the MDB
I put a Thread.sleep in the target http service for 11 minutes
Tested by placing a message in the queue. MDB picked the message and made http call. Message substate was receive-transaction. Queue had redelivery delay of 55 seconds and redelivery limit of -1.
I would like to know what is the designed behaviour in this scenario when transaction timeout occurs at 10 minutes. ?
The behaviour I observed,
From JTA Monitoring ,At 602nd second, transaction was marked for rolled back, though the MDB code was executing [ I think this is the correct behaviuor]
Message substate was receieve-transaction till end of 660th second, when it got redelivered. Redelivery count increased by 1. I was expecting message substate to change to delayed, but it didn't,. New substate after 660th second was also receive transaction. In JTA monitoring I could also see a new transaction spawning up.
The whole purpose of my experiment was to reproduce the scenrio we are observing messages in 'receive' state when http service goes out. Any suggestion how i can get this, all I could get is receive transaction.

So if the delay is set to 11 minutes, but the message is trapped in a receive transaction that times out after 10 minutes, there will only be a 1 minute redelivery delay... Thanks Tom. This is eaxctly the behaviour I am observing. And if redelivery delay is less than transaction timeout period, message is redelivered instantaneously when the transaction timeout occurs.
It seems you're looking into the final details of the "redelivery delay" feature's behavior? I am looking at how to trap the message in receive state. We are seeing messages stuck in receive state in production when http service goes out and it occurs randomly. My guess is since we have not configured http read time out, the socket timeout occurs at a time beyond transaction timeout and some of the complex underlying behaviours at transaction timeout event is the reason for this [ could even be a bug when dealing with this abnormal condition].
A solution for this is to set out the http read time out less than transaction timeout. We have done this in prod now and since we cant reproduce the issue , we dont know whether it fixes the problem. We are now waiting to see if the issue reoccurs . The customer doesn't like this and wants us to reproduce the issue for confirmation.
I am looking at the message substate transitions. I know for transactional weblogic MDB's and non UOO messages, the state transition will be :
Visible --> receive --> receive transaction --> transaction committed or rolled back
In this transition , it is possible for messge in receive transaction to revert back to receive status ?
P.S. we have spent huge amount of time and effort with Oracle support with no real solutions. They want us to tell them the method to reproduce the issue.

Error when using Vk12 transaction

Hi All,
When i am trying to use transaction VK12 for condition type i get the following hard stop.
Internal Error :T XKONH F KONDITION_ZUORDNEN I MV13AF0K.
I used VK+C for analysing and found some cocdition records mentioned under "Check condition key and VAKEY".
when i checked those records in KONH and KONP i could not find any errors as such.
What do you think is going wrong ? Any ideas ?

From your post its not clear that whether you have searched for it or not and I don't think anything, in fact I read what is written in question. If you had searched then you should have mentioned it because there are already many links and notes discussing this issue.
I had gone through your query very carefully and after that suggested you that note and link in which there are again 4 notes. This error is not that common and can be seen in varios programs/screens in SAP. Tax codes/tax conditions are used in VK12 and there are also many other transactions which use same logic and you don't need to be stick to VK12 only and think outside the box for resolving this type of issue.
FYI in SAP there can be many transactions or events where we get same error message and this is because SAP uses same logic in different programs. Condition technique is there in SD FI and MM.
You had asked for any idea and we are here to give suggestions and recommendtions when we don't know the exact solution. If you didn't get satisfactory answer then its better to raise your query to SAP.

Strange events in homehub 5 log but got speed incr...

Had hh5 since October had no problems with speeds always good yesterday Vdsl stats was on 66195 down & 20000 up all good but this morning it rebooted speed gone up to 69350 upload the same but logs really strange as showing (3621.280000) OpenRG will go down for reboot in 5 seconds never seen this before but an hour later rebooted again and speeds went back to previous here's the logs any ideas ?

Strange that the data rate is higher than the maximum speeds ?

Well my home hub 5 rebooted 3 times yesterday due to this openRG activity which seems to be a pushed trial version of new firmware 1.7 it's been downloaded to my hub but not activated as of yet lucky enough it has not effected DLM as of yet speeds still the same around 68 down 19 up but really annoyed as bt have not informed us of this, a simple email would be enough to keep us in the loop but that's asking to much I guess?
