Transaction for SKAT table

If we know the table name is there an easy way to find out what transaction is used to maintain it?
For e.g. VBAK is maintained by VA01.
What about SKAT?
I am sure someone here knows what table SKAT is maintained using but everynow and then I find myself in a situation where I know the table and not the transaction so I would like to find out an easy way to do so.

You got the right transaction, thanks for that.
But if I were to use SEARCH_SAP_MENU, there is no way I would have found the transaction.
SKAT - G/L Account Master Record (Chart of Accounts: Description)
FSP0 - Display G/L Account chart of acct data.
As you can see the relation is just not there.

Problem with a maintenance dialog for a table

Hi,
I created a table (ztable) with transaction code SE11 and a transaction (ztransaction) with SE93 to manage this table (ztable).
When I use the transaction "ztransaction", I have a message like this :
"The maintenance dialog for ZTABLE is incomplete or not defined".
What can I do ? How can I complete or define the maintenance dialog ?

First after creating a table you should creat a Table maintenance generator.
Utilities -> Table Maintenance Generator .
After creating Maintenance goto
Environment -> Transaction
This will succesfully create a transaction for your table
You should give parameters while creating the transaction.
UPDATE = 'X'
VIEWNAME = your table name

How to create t-code for a table and how to create transaction variant???

I have created a custom table zsark.
Now my requirement is : I have to create a transaction variant zsark_var for sm30 and table zsark. I have to disable the output of the first screen. I have to assign the transaction variant to the transaction code of table zsark.
Now,
1.     how to create transaction code to a table. Can any one give me the
                staps??
2.     how to create transaction variant for the above requirement???

1 Goto SE93 transaction
2 Choose 5th option Transaction with parameters
3 Give transaction : SM30, Check Skip Initial Screen Press Enter
4 Goto Bottom left corner, click F4 select viewname, on right hand side give table name
5 Press one more time F4, choose update , mark it X on right side.
6 save the transaction.

Transaction code for custom table

I created one custom table. I created Tbale Maintenance Generator for this. I have to create transaction code for this table so that user can directly open this custom table in SM30. Can anybody suggest on this. is there any other way to do this so that user can directly open this custom table in SM30 mode?

Function modules for Transaction SE16 for any table whole data

Hi Experts,
i need to pass report or function module input as table name:LFA1.
I Need to get all the data with fileds for those table.
say : i/p
paramters: s_tabname like (tabname).
here s_tabname ='lfa1'.

Although I would never do something like this...

Create transaction for update a custom table

I have a custom table Z****. What are all the steps to create a transaction for updating my custom table? I don't want to use SM30 anymore.

Create a Table maintainence through the maintainence generator.
Open table in SE11, goto utilities => table maintainence generator.
Once the generator is created,
In the same screen of generator - Goto Environment => Transaction Code
Select Transaction Code with Parameter.
In the default values - Enter the Transaction as SM30 . Select skip first screen.
In default values at the bottom
Add
screen field = VIEWNAME and value = Ztable name.
screen field =UPDATE and value = 'X'.

Parameter transaction for table maintenance - multiple tables?

Hello,
I am very familiar with creating a parameter transaction to call SM30 for a specific Z-table of ours.
However, I have 14 tables that a group of users will need to maintain. Rather than create 14 different transactions in SE93, what are my options?
When creating a parameter transaction in SE93, I get the error that the field 'VIEWNAME' is used more than once. There has to be a way to achieve this with only one transaction.

I dont think you can create a single transaction with multiple VIEWNAME's.Options I would suggest you is create a simple report with radio buttons for each table and call the FM "VIEW_MAINTENANCE_CALL" with the viewname based on user selection and create a single transaction to the report or create transaction for each and create a Area menu with all the 14 transaction.

Table Maintenance generator is required to do Manual entries in the Table.
If the requirement is to update the table only programmatically
and not manually then table maint generator is not required.
Manual entries in table can be maintained ( New record can be inserted / existing can be modified )
using transaction SM 30, if the table maintenance for the table is generated.

How to activate Table maint.
Goto SE11 and open the table.
Click UTILITIES -> Table Maint. Generator, Enter the details and click on Save. Then activate the table.

how to create a a T-code of that
Go to se93.
Then create the new T.code.
Under that select parameter Transaction.
Then give the sm30 in the t.code in default values tab.
check the checkbox skip initial screen.
in classification tab.
click checkbox inherit gui attributes..
Now below..
In the default values..
WRITE
viewname = give ur table name.
show = X
save and check it once...
now u can able to call ur table through ur new t.code...

Create a table maintance program for a z table :
In transaction SE11, in the attribute tab of your z table check table maintenance check box. Go to SM30 transaction, enter the ztable name and click on maintain button. Here you can enter new entries into the ztable .
Or
You can create a PARAMETER TRANSACTION for the transaction for SM30 .
Follow these steps :
1. go to transaction SE93 , give your own transaction code say ztran_tab, for maintaining your ztable.
2. Click on create button and check the radio button Transaction with parameters (PARAMETER TRANSACTION) and click on the tick button.
3. In the next screen enter default values:
transaction : SM30
check the check box skip initial screen
4. Scroll down you will find a table control for default values
Name of the screen field | value
VIEWNAME | your ztable name
SHOW | X
Save your work.
Now as you have created a custom transaction for maintaining your ztable this transaction can be called from any program with CALL transaction 'XXX'.
