Transfer blocked stock between plants.

Hi everyone !
Pls. I need to transfer blocked stock from plant A to plant B.
The point is stock must be blocked in plant A and then I have to transfer to plant B, but stock must always be blocked just to avoid the selling process.

if you want do it with SD deliveries, then the answer is: not possible
but pure MM movements........
By changing the field selection for movement type 325 you can open the field 'receiving plant'. this will then allow a plant to plant movement of blocked stock. Whether you should do it or not is of course up to you.
I doupt that it is possible to do a 2-step movement for blocked or QI stock, because the 303 post the quantity to transfer stock. And transfer stock has no sub categories like QI or blocked. It is on the same level.
There is an OSS note 448761, it is for another transaction, but it might help you a bit to understand.
amongst other things following is said:
There are not two-step movement types for blocked stock since no stock in transit, quality inspection exists .

It is not possible to move blocked stock between plants.
You have to transfer the stock into unrestricted- then you can move it to the other plant- then again a transfer posting into blocked stock.

Transfer Special Stock between Plants

We would like to transfer a special stock assigned to a sales order from one plant to another plant with delivery documents. We doesn't want to use the transaction MB1B with the code movement 301E which does the transfer in one step without devlivery document. We would prefer to use the STO procedure but we doesn't know how to assign the special stock to the stock transfer order. Is there any solution?

With these two movement types, you can work with both valuated and nonvaluated sales order stock (E).

It would be a business decision i suppose. If those 5 nos. are lost / damaged in transit & needs to be scrapped, then the ownership needs to be decided first. If it lies with the sender, then reverse the 5 nos. (MB1B mvt is 314) & then proceed with your scrapping or if it lies with the receiver then receive the 5 nos & then proceed with the scrapping.
Posting in system is one aspect, but a clear business rule is the key factor. So discuss with your materials mgmt personnel to define the process flow.

can any one tell me the proceedure how to transfer a material in warehouse between the storage types.
For example if i have a stock of 100 Nos.ina warehouse of storage type 916 (Goods issue for Deliveries) Ineed to transfer this stock to my permanent bin Storage type of 001.

Use LT01 & create Tansfer order (TO), Input material ,plant,storage location.
Provide the required inputs like Source & destination storage type,storage section & Bin numbers.
Finally confirm the TO, it will be done.

I guess you have to convert it to unrestricted type before you can transfer, then reconvert it back to blocked.

1. Mat.(1434) should be maintained in both the plants. (1000&1100).
2. Should have enough stock in supplying plant(1000).
3. Make its supplying plant as a vendor in vendor master record in receiving plant(1100).
4. Make it receiving plant as a customer in customization.
    Create customer (xd01) & and define the shipping data for plants in both the plants.
    Path: spro u2013 img u2013 m.mgmt u2013 purchasing u2013 po u2013 set up STO u2013 define shipping data (1 by1 )
    In Receiving plant (1100)                         In Supplying plant (1000)
    Customer num. 123345 (for ex.)              Customer num. -
(don't fill)
    Sales org.yyy
    Dist. Channel
    Sales div. y
5. Assign doc. Type is "NL" for intra company STO. If STO is inter company, Assign doc. Type is "NLCC".
    Position doc type is "UB"
    Enter supplying plant(1000) & doc type (NL) & checking rule (ex:01)
6. Assign doc. Type is "UB" to u'r plants.(PO)
    Go for new entries
    Enter supplying plant(1000) & Receiving plant (1100) & doc type (UB).
7. Create a PO, choose the doc type is `UB' & item cat.'U', Enter supplying plant as a vendor in PO of the receiving plant(1100).
8. Provide this num (PO) to SD people, they will do the delivery by using transactional code is VL10B.
9. Sales people they will provide "out bound delivery num".
10. Do the GR. In GR the second tab 05 out bound delivery instead of PO mov.type 101.
11. See the stock over view in the receiving & supplying plants.
note :- if dont want the billing document then dont assign the delivery type(nl) to the doucumnet type(nb).
for project stock transfer use 415 q movement type at the time og goods issue.

Transfer of stock between two storage locations within a plant in two steps

Hi,
We have a plant 6400 & we have two storage locations 6401 & 6402. Each storage location belongs to a department which are located at some distance from one another.
The material to be moved from one storage location to another using a truck.
For the above mentioned process can we have the following process
(1) In first posting the material is issue from the storage location to a transit
(2) In second posting the material from the transit is received into the storage location
I am looking for a feature that is possible between two plants, can we have a similar feature available within a plant.

Transfer of goods between Plants

I have 2 manufacturing plants- Plant 1 and Plant 2.
I have to transfer the excisable material from Plant 1 to Plant 2. In this case I have to transfer the excise duty paid from Plant 1 to Plant 2 also.
The STO is without delivery. We are using movement type 351.
I have created STO and did goods issue using 351.
How to transfer excise duty? What is the step?

Procedure to Create Excise Invoice: -
From the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Indirect Taxes ® Sales/Outbound Movements ® Excise Invoice ® For Other Movements ® Create/Change/Display ® .
On the selection screen, enter data as required, including:
Ref. doc. type: MATD (Material document)
Doc. number: Transfer posting number
Vendor: Leave this field blank
Customer: The customer account number of the receiving plant
Choose .
The system copies the details from the transfer posting.
For each item:
Enter the net assessable value
Check and change the excise duty rates
Save the excise invoice.
If you are using the one-step procedure, the system creates and posts the excise invoice. Otherwise, the system saves the information but does not make any postings: it now has to be verified.
Verifying and Posting Excise Invoices
Use
You follow this procedure to verify that the information in an excise invoice that has already been created, and to post it once you are satisfied.
Procedure to Post Excise Invoice: -
From the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Indirect Taxes ® Sales/Outbound Movements ® Excise Invoice ® For Other Movements ® Post Excise Invoice.
Enter the internal document number of the excise invoice.
Choose Release to accounting.
The system displays the excise invoice. The excise duty that is to be posted is displayed at the foot of the screen, which you can change if necessary.

Transfer consignment stock between special stock partners

we have a scenario wherein i have two special stock parnter defined for the consignment stock processing. i want to transfer some material from one stock partner to another stock partner.
can someone help regarding this scenario.

To reduce special stock for a particular sold to party, you can use MB1A / 291W so that it will ask for customer code, where you need to define the sold to party. Similarly to add stock, you can use MB1A / 292W. But b4 doing this, check in development and get concurrence with your FI people also for accounting implications.

Luiz,
You cannot move 'blocked' or 'restricted' stock in this manner. This is not supported in ECC 5.0 and I would not think ECC 6.0 would be any different in this regard as this is a basic rule within standard SAP although I would think that in certain situations it would be beneficial to be able manage this in a simple move.
- As others have correctly pointed out, you have to change the stock status to 'unrestricted use', transfer/receive it (either using mvt 301, 303/305, 351/101, 641/101, 643/101 etc depending on the stock transfer mechanism used between the plants) and then finally change the stock status back to 'blocked'.
- Another option would to be to post an inventory adjustment using mvts 701/702 in both the plants and then change stock status in receiving plant to 'blocked'.
- Design a custom ABAP program to perform the sequence of movements in a single transaction. I think it would be important to get the timing right to avoid incorrect booking of stock.
- The movements could be also be linked in a single transaction using a workflow solution although I am not sure how simple or complex the solution might be.
Unfortunately, the quantity strings associated with movement types are hard-coded by SAP. So, it would not be possible to achieve this move using a custom movement type without any modifications.

Stock Transfer of Blocked Stock Plant-to-Plant

I have an issue regarding Stock Transfer of blocked stock from one Plant-to-Plant.
I realize that blocked stock cannot be transfered directly.
But the issue here is that if we cannot transfer the blocked stock directly, that means we have to do transfer posting from blocked stock to unrest use then stock transfer using mov type: 301. Then in the destination plant, we transfer again to blocked stock.
If this is applied, then it will potentially raise other issues related to incorrect stock transfer by the other users once the material is released to unrest. use.
So, in short, that's why we need to have direct stock transfer scenario for this issue.

Hello Albert,
You are correct. We can not transfer blocked stock from one plant to another and you have to follow the same steps which you already mentioned.
As per the business logc, We can not move "Blocked" (Business term: Rejected/scrapped/spoiled) material out of our business unit except Retrun to Vendor or Scrap it. so it is also not logical to move "THAT kind of Stock" to another plant.

If your source plant stock is in unrestricted and your destination plant as blocked.
Then you can't do it within one movement type.
Suppose you have stock in plant XXXX in unrestricted and you want to transfer the stock to plant ZZZZ in blocked.
Then either you have to use 301 for plant to plant first, then 343 unrestricted to blocked or first 343 unrestricted to blocked, the 325 for plant to plant within blocked stock.

which material documents do you want to see?
Material documents can be found and displayed in MB51 transaction.
in MMBE you can put the cursor onto your stock line and then choose from menu Environment > material documents and SAP will list all relevant material documents.
block stock status is not a selection criteria, material number, plant storage location, batch number are selection criterias.
if you want only documents to block stock, then you need to select by movement type, e.g. 343 and 344 are movements that change status from unrestricted to blocked or vica versa.

Project stock to plant stock

Is it possibl to transfer the project stock to plant stock? What would be the influence in FICO due to this?

You can transfer project stock to plant stock using 411Q mvmt type in MB1B transaction. The FI entry will be debit to normal inventory GL and credit to project stock GL
