Transfer client custom control to web access.

Hello,
in my team we work with TFS 2012 and we have created some custom controls for Visual Studio 2012/2013. Because we have users that they don't want to install Team Explorer to access TFS, we decided to make these custom controls for web access. Is it possible
to convert the already implemented custom control into a new web custom control?

Now we can use the soa mapping badi /sapsrm/bd_soa_mapping method
map_backend_to_xi to resolve the scenario.
If SOA is used to transfer PR, I am afraid that we have to use SOA mapping badi /sapsrm/bd_soa_mapping method MAP_BACKEND_TO_XI to realize your requirement.

Control/Limit web access

I am curious if I can use our 10.5 Server (currently serving afp and ftp) to also control the users web surfing. Ideally down to 1 hour a day minus the approved websites we maintain.

You can't limit web browsing to a time limit using 10.5 server, but you can limit the websites that users can visit. There is the capability to create white-lists and black-lists. I'm currently in the process of working with Apple in order to import our current 'hosts' file into workgroup manager's black-list preferences. Apparently the preferences are accessed using dscl from terminal...which really is not fun to tinker with. If I find a way to import sites into the black-list and/or white-list, I will post it. If anyone needs a really good hosts file that goes in the /etc/ folder to block most **** sites/proxies/crap, let me know and I can e-mail it to them.

JRockit Mission Control (jrmc) - Web access

Hi experts,
I have JRockit installed on Linux x86-64 (Suse Linux SLES10) box. The requirement is to be able to provide a url to outside non Linux users who can access jrmc via Internet Explorer on their PCs/laptops. My questions are:
1. Is this possible?
2. If yes, is there some special configuration that I need to do? If yes, can someone please provide highleve steps

Other users can use the JRMC application to connect to and monitor your running JRockit JVM instance on the Suse machine,
could that be what you're after? (There's no involvement of any webbrowsers in this)
If this is what you'd like to do, you should add the following to your java commandline:
"-Xmanagement:ssl=false,authenticate=false" (and possibly also add ",port=<port number of your choice>", default is 7091)
The non-linux users, given that they have network access to the suse machine, can start up JRMC and create a connection to <hostname>:<port>.Thanks Klara! Can you explain a little more please -
1. Would those external users be using something like a url (machinename:7091) from their PC/laptops? How will they start jrmc? Or would they need it installed on their PCs/laptops?
2. Do you have an metalink/Oracle MOS note number that tells how to do this or some link that explains this in more details please?

Customizing Oracle Web Access Client password change

We need to turn off the built in Password Change feature in the Oracle Web Access Client of Collaboration Suite or, an even better option, redirect it to our custom built change password application. It appears in the client under Preferences in the same pop-up window as General and Time Zone. We've been poking around in the file structure and trying to find what renders this page. Can anyone offer any help?

You can't do that in WAC but in the Webmail interface > Preferences > Account > Folders you can set this for Oracle Mail.

SSL VPN message "This (client) machine does not have the web access privilege."

I am trying to configure the SSL VPN (WebVPN) and I am almost done but when clicking on the URL's I configured in the bookmarks, I get the message "This (client) machine does not have the web access privilege. Please contact your SSLVPN provider for assistance." I looked through the many tutorials and guides in existence and none talks about such error and the fix for it. In fact, if I search the net for this error message I get only one match, in the Cisco website, where is say that "The client computer does not meet the security criteria of having web access functionality through the SSL VPN gateway." and as fix it gave this tip "Check the URL to the gateway or contact the administrator if it persists." So, nothing on the website about what this issue is and how to fix it. I will provide my IOS configuration and hopefully someone will spot the issue. Here it goes:

Web Report Viewer error - Unable to load client print control.

Dear All,
We have a problem with Report Viewer print funtionality. Getting the error "Unable to load client print control." on click of Print button.
We tried all solutions posted in web - nothing resolves the issue.
The print works fine when we open the report via a browser. But the same is not working through our application. We have the application installed on the Report server itself and the user has Admin previleges.

I have 2008 R2 server setup as XenApp server for the publish apps. We published the IE to user to access Web application with SQL 2012 reporting service in
the backend.
In the control environment, users do not have permission to install any software. This SSRS has to be installed as administrator under “Install mode” in XenApp
server.
Yes, 32bit IE works for me but 64bit IE works too.
You just need to ensure which version of IE you’re using to install the SSRS. I’m not aware of using 32bit IE for SSRS installation in server but publish 64bit
IE to client. That’s my mistake.

HTML Client: How to get the content/value of a custom control?

I made two Custom Controls named, "CustomControl_1" and "CustomControl_2".
In the render function of "CustomControl_1", how to access the value of "CustomControl_2"?
For example,

I would recommend creating screen properties and binding the controls to those screen properties. Then you can easily get a reference to any value. See this article for an example of the process using custom controls:

New option to open custom Excel content type in Excel Web Access

Hi,
This question is specifically for Sharepoint Online if that affects the possible solution.
I would like a custom content type with Excel template to open up in Excel Web Access when a library's New>"My Content Type" option is chosen. I have configured the content type (deriving from "Document"), pointed it to the spreadsheet
template I've uploaded, added the content type to the library and set the library to "Open documents in the browser".
However when I choose the new option for the content type it always opens it in the Excel desktop client. If I then save the document to the library, then it does view and edit in Excel Web App after that.
Is there any way for the initial "New" Excel document to start editing in Excel Web App?

Make sure Office 2011 is fully updated. It shouldn't have a problem opening those documents.
When I open a 97 - 2004 workbook, it states that it needs to be converted. That may be what is crashing on your copy of Office.
Have you tried creating a new account and see if you can open them there.

Accessing client using Windows 2008 Terminal Service - Web Access?

Dear experts,
We are developing a network infrastructure solution for our new customer's B1 8.8 implementation.
Our customer would like to utilize Windows Server 2008 Terminal Service to connect B1 client in remote branch with server in head office area. And they want to use Terminal Service - WEB ACCESS. Base on our experience, we successfully implement B1 using Remote Desktop Connection or Citrix to support B1 client in the remote area.
My question is, Has SAP already support to utilize windows "Terminal Service - Web Access" to access B1 client?
If Yes then what are possible issues and solutions?

when we said to customer that it is better to use citrix, they will see some concerns as follows:
1. Investment to buy citrix server
2. License of citrix
3. installation time for ICA client
4. maintenance cost for citrix and its server
The benefits are as follows:
1. Reduce cost to purchase B1 license. Remote and LAN users can access B1 through citrix
2. The connection speed. Citrix is more faster than RDC or terminal services either web access or not
3. The security reason. Check this link:

In the support platform, there is no windows terminal services web access info. You may check it here:

The supported hosted environments are using citrix or windows terminal service. For remote users, the citrix is used for web access and windows terminal services are using IP and the connection is using internet (do not use VPN).
The citrix is not very expensive. We must make them realize the benefit.

Custom Control Doesn't Load On Some Clients

I have a LightSwitch application developed in Visual Studio 2012 that has been in production for several years without any major issues. The application has a custom control that has been included in the app from the very beginning. The app uses Silverlight

I recently made a change and re-deployed the application to the server. This is not the first change deployed since the app was released. The custom control no longer renders when running the app on some clients. Not all clients are affected.
This is only a problem when running the app from the production server. When I run the app from the development server, the custom control renders without any issues on all clients.
When the app runs from the production server, I get the following in place of the custom control:

I recently updated to io6 and ran into FB notification not sounding. So I decided to do a backup like I have done many of times. Well doing this all my custom tones went by by...Never changing anything in itunes. They worked fine up until I restored. I did all the trouble shooting steps like normal for my custom tones. Re-synched and so on. text goes off...nothing, changed to a default tone worked fine then change back to custom tone worked, except for purchased tones those still don't work. I re-purchase one tone I already bought and now works fine. All are working again accept the original problem of the notification tone for FB still not working.

Spellcheck in Oracle Web Access Client

need the spellcheck in the Email Oracle Web Access Client. The question is:
are this functionality in this Java version of email???
Because I find this functionality (spellcheck) in the HTML version of Oracle
Mail but I cant find the spellcheck in the Java version of email.
Is possible connect the spellcheck from the HTML version to the Java Version or
this is an Enhancement Request to be logged on this issue for the next version.

Accessing different custom controls during runtime

Hi,
I am developing a test engine. Each test requires different data. My idea is to store all the custom controls(specific control to specific test case). I am getting a variant input and this should be converted to the custom control data type. Is there anyway to access the custom control datatype based on the test case???
Or to be more specific, is there a way to get the data type of control in a VI using VI reference???

Hi Sam.. I think u got my problem wrong... I ll explain u in asimple way.
Test 1 requires 1 boolean and 1 numeric
Test 2 requires 2 numeric
Test 3 requires 1 string
Wat I recieve is a variant containig all inputs of that particular test(Exmpl: 2 numeric for Test 2)....Now I need to convert this variant to 1 bool and 1 num(for Test 1) or 2 numeric(if Test 2) or 1 string (if test 3). Wat I thought was put all the ctrls in a folder and access it to convert the variant based on test number.(This is for future use so tht I can just add cntrls if new tests are added). Now the question is how to access this cntrl datatype for the conversion???????

We installed a new Exchange 2007 CAS on Windows 2008R2. Got rid of old CAS on Exchange 2007. Now seeing this error. Does anyone have an idea??

If the issue persists, I recommend you install Exchange 2007 SP3 RU7 and check the result. Also, ensure that Exchange 2010 SP2 RU1 or later version is installed. Old Exchange version may lead to the CAS-to-CAS proxy incompatibility.

Cannot receive emails unless outlook client or Outlook web access is open

My Iphone is not receiving any emails unless I have my outlook client open or i browse the Outlook web access with a browser. I am not sure what is the link. if i have outlook client open on my computer i receive emails to my iphone, no issues there but if close my outlook then i cannot receive any emails. We have Exchange 2003 sp2 and ISA 2006 as the front end server. NEED HELP

This happens if you have Symantec Virus Scanner scanning your Exchange. We have to change the following registry setting to make it work
