Transfer Forecast to R/3

Hi all,
When trying to transfer forecast to R/3 from Demand Planning, I am getting a successful transfer message.
but Independent requirements are not showing up in R/3.
I have created a activity and schedules a background job for the transfer.
Are there any settings to be done...
The material is already marked for External Planning.
Awaiting reply
Best Regards
Kishore Reddy.

Hi Kishore,
Have you created the transfer profile? If so, have you included that transfer profile in that planning activity?
Also make sure that you have included the correct selection id in your planning job.
I just gave you few check points to look into. Please let me know what happens.
Cheers,
Chandru.

  • In SOP- transfer forecasted values from material master to info structure?

    Hi All,
I wanted to test out a few scenarios. Do you know the answers  / can you help simulate and check the below?
    1.     If I run the forecast using different models for different materials using the total forecast run (MP38), the forecast values will get updated in the material master. Can I get these values transferred directly into the SOP (standard or flexible), without re-running the forecast in SOP? What I am looking at is a possible scenario where individual materials have different forecast model, so do not want to run forecast from SOP using one model for all.
    2.       Can you have the capability of selecting diff model (say based on material master data) in SOP for diff materials? When I ran SOP, the model I specify there for forecasting is applied for all materials
    3.       If I upload historical values/forecasted values in the material master, can I directly transfer them to SOP without any change to the value?
    Appreaciate your inputs.

  • Transfer Forecast data based on Customer information for product and plant

    Hi,
    This is the scenario.
Our characterstics are Product,Plant and Customers
and for 1 plant and product there may be 5 customers.
    My characterstics will be
    P1 L1 C1
    P1 L1 C2
    P1 L1 C3
    P1 L1 C3
    P1 L1 C4
    P1 L1 C5
    (P1-Product; L1 for Plant and C1,C2...are customers)
Now forecast data will be different for different customers.
I transfer demand from APO to ECC for PRoduct ,Plant and different customers.
Then in ECC how to check for different customers.
If you go to MD63 you can see for plant and product but not for customers.
This is required as we are running MRP for that product for component planning.
    Thanks in Advance
    Raghavendra Pai

    Hi Ragvendra,
In ECC we can transfer at material and plant level only and not information of customer. As you need for MRP run may be you can explore possibility of using some badi and get customer no in requirement plan number or some other feilds.
Other option is planning with descriptive chartceristic in APO only. It is not possible to transfer demand with descriptive charcteristics to ECC.
Here you can forcast demand on customer level. Transfer it as PIR with descriptive charcteristics to PPDS where you can plan for this demand.
    For information see link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm50/helpdata/en/c1/147a375f0dbc7fe10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm.
If your requirement is to transfer customer information to ECC from DP in standarad it is not possible as far as I know.
    Regards,
    Siddharth

  • Unable to transfer Forecast to ECC

    Hi Experts,
We are unable to transfer foreact from APO Dp to ECC.
we can see the forecast data in Planning Book and transffered to ECC  through Batch Job. When we check in spool. It is showing message "Transffered data to R/3. But we can't see the forecast in MD63.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Manasa

    1) Check if Product location exists in ECC and APO.
    A) Both are same
    2) Check transaction MD73 instead of MD63. If forecasts are already consumed, you will not see them in MD63.
    A) When i check for Plant X, I can able to see forecast data in MD63.But for Plant Y in MD63, it shows message "No requirements were found which correspond to the selection criteria".
As you asked me to check data in MD73, it shows message "No requirements were found which correspond to the selection criteria".
3)In the activity definition in APO if you do not specify a Requirements Type, check what Strategy Group is assigned to the Material master in ECC. Then go to customizing and identify the Planning Strategy. Check if the Planning Strategy has a value assigned for the Requirements Type for Independent Requirements.
    A) Y plant is just a replica of Plant X. Both are having same parameters in Material master (ECC)and in Product master (APO).

  • Transfer of forecast from SNP to ECC

We are using transfer profile to transfer forecast (9ADFCST) from SNP to ECC.
We find that the original forecast is not transferred, but only the unconsumed  (Original fcst - sales) forecast is transferred.
Is there a way to transfer the original forecast from SNP to ECC?
    Thanks,
    Ashok

    Hi JD,
    Thanks for your response.
Yes, we had thought of doing that, but we are transferring the forecast based on requirement strategy for each product in product master data in SNP.
Though DP has all the original forecst, it does not have req. strat. as a selection criterion for SKU.
For example-- if the req. strat. is 20 then create VSF orders in ECC, if it is 30 then create VSE orders in ECC and if it is 32 do not transfer to ECC.
So we have to fall back on SNP to transfer the forecast using that product selection criterion.
But in SNP the forecast is consumed by sales order/deliveries and only the "remaining" forecast (after all the consumption have taken place) is transferred.
We had tried /sapapo/dmp2 to transfer original forecast, but it does not work if the "Planning Assembly" field is not checked in the product master. And we do not use that field in our product master data.

  • Forecast Transfer to R/3 in Daily/Weekly buckets

    Hi,
We have 2 planning areas in DP - Weekly and daily planning area. For the first 3 weeks, the forecast will be transferred to R/3 in daily buckets and for the remaining 2 weeks, the forecast will be transferred in weekly buckets. I have created 2 separate transfer profiles - one for daily transfer from the daily planning book and another one for weekly transfer from weekly planning book. When I run the forecast transfer from the daily planning book for the first 3 weeks, the forecast gets successfully transferred to R/3 Demand management. But, when I run the forecast transfer from the weekly planning book for Weeks 4 & 5, the forecast gets released successfully although it overwrites the previous forecast in daily buckets. Please bear in mind that the time periods for daily and weekly transfer are different. The same thing happens if I run the weekly transfer first and then do the daily transfer. For another location, we release the forecast to SNP in the same way and it works fine. Does anyone has any clues about this situation? Thanks.

    Hello,
The following are the planning book/data views that I am using to transfer forecast
Planning book2: Background Daily Planning book
    Dataview2: Daily Forecast Transfer View
    Time bucket profile: 21 days
Transfer profile: Daily Transfer profile (Released to active version A)
    Activity: Daily Transfer Activity
Job: Daily Transfer Job (based on planing book2 and data view2)
Planning book1: Background Weekly Planning book
Dataview1: Weekly Forecast Transfer View (Offset field is set to 3 so that forecast could be transferred to weeks 4 & 5.
    Time bucket profile: 2Weeks
Transfer profile: Weekly Transfer profile (Released to active version A)
    Activity: Weekly Transfer Activity
Job:Weekly Transfer Job ( based on planing book1 and data view1)
Yes, I am transferring both the daily and weekly forecast to the same active version, but different time horizons. So, in order to do this, do I need to transfer to 2 different active versions. If this is the case, can DRP be able to use forecast from 2 active versions?

  • Create Forecast from one location porduct to other location product

    Hi All,
I have a business scenario trying to design process in APO -DP.Two Plants in R/3 (1001 and 1002).
Plant-1001, produce  material A using raw material B.
Plant -1002,  Produce C  and sale to plant 1001. Physically material B and C are same but in R/3  material  B and C  are different numbers.
I am trying to design this scenario in APO- DP  like whenever Plant 1001 run forecast for material A, it should generate forecast for material B(raw mat in 1001) and material C (finish product in 1002).
I tired to understand if APO-DP BOM functionality can be used but in this case system asked me maintain material C in plant 1001, which i am trying to avoid.
This seems to be common business scenarion. I'll appreciate any quick advice or help to understand how to map it in APO-DP.
    OR
Is there anyway to transfer forecast from one location product to another different loaction product.
    Thanks
    Kumar

    Hi Kumar,
    1) Your scenario seems like realignment of location products.
    2) You can achieve this using realignment planning in APO DP
    3) The transaction to do this is /SAPAPO/RLGCOPY
    4) Here, the history of one location product will get copied or maintained to transfer
    to another location product
    5) You can select one or more key figure data to get copied to your new
location products from the existing history.

  • Forecasting and Multi-Plant Planning

    Hi All
My client does the forecasting for 3 months ahead (For March, April, May, the forecasting is done at febraury) for a product Finished Product u2013 A. After forcasting he arrives at the demand per month say a qty 5,00,000 lakhs pieces for that finished product
For Manufacturing this product, the client has 5 plants for manufacturing locations and depending on the plant capacity, he will allocate the production quantity
Kindly let me know, how to map this scenario in SOP and how the demand can be transferred to multiple plants
    Thanks and Regards
    Palaniappan

    Hello,
I'm considering that you're using SOP-Flexible Planning module for forecasting in SAP.
Coz having that in place only this could possibly be set-up in SAP.
Carry out the complete forecast process as usual. Only while transferring the forecast data to Demand Management, you need to use User/Customer Exit to allocate the forecast values to respective production plant.
For that check Tcode-MC7F (Planning Parameters for Info Structure). In it, select indicator- Transfer to Demand Management with user exit and do the needful enhancement coding.
Off-course in addition to above indicator & respective enhancement development, you might need to define few more parameters/custom tables to have an overview of Plant Capacity, based on which you want to transfer forecast values.
Hope this will help. Revert if any further info required.

  • Unable to find data in s677 table

Hi I had maintained planned data in md63 for month 1-5 of 2012 but unable to find it in table s677, help.

    Hi Allen,
    Referring to replies:
    1. You entered values directly in MD63
    2. No updates in table-S677 or PBIM.
    Let me clarify few things.
SIS-S677 is custom info structure (Not a standard SIS) designed to your requirement. That means you're working on S&OP Flexible Planning module.
So as a prerequisite to this module you must maintain below mix of Config & master data:
    1. Sales Info Structure i.e. S677 with update groups & rules. To capture any sales history.
    2. Planning Type: It's config and Planning type defines the content and the layout of the lines in the planning table.
    3. Planning hierarchy: It's a Master data and is a combination of characteristic values based on the characteristics of one information structure.
    4. Planning Table: It's the place where a Planning is done.
After all above set-up, you would be able to enter in Planning Table for planning the products.
    Steps for Planning/Forecasting:
    1. Based on your SIS Update groups & Rules, a S677 will be updated with sales quantities with Version-00 and same will be used to calculate forecast.
    2. Using forecast model setup, a forecasting can be run in Planning Table for a particular product.
    3. Forecast/planning values then will be saved in Planning Table. Once you save these values & come out of Planning Table, these values will be updated in S677 with version-A00.
    4. Then you need to transfer Forecast/Planning values to Demand Management from Planning Table.
    5. Check if values can be seen in Demand Management (MD63). If yes, a seperate SAP standard table-PBIM, PBHI etc. will be updated. These values in MD63 are called as Planned Ind Requirement (PIR).
    6. Once PIR can be seen in MD63, you can run MRP Run.
    7. Once MRP finished, you can go-ahead with further processing.
This is how the complete scenario is. Check if it's okay and then revert if any further issue.

  • Sales plan Excel sheet

    Dear Friends
I am implementing Forecast based MRP, is there any way to export Sales forescat excel sheet, insteaded of entering the forecast values in material master, we are neary 30 products. Entering one by one is a big process, laready they have sales plan in excel sheet, pl let meknow how can i export the sales plan excel sheet to the Forecast values and execute the forecast.
    thanks
    Shivani

please follow below process to uplaod external data:
You use this program to transfer forecast values from external systems to your SAP system. The program works as follows:
    1. The program searches for the material/plant combination defined for external forecast.
    2. Using user exit EXIT_SAPLMPR1_002, you can set a filter on the materials to be forecast externally.
    3. The program calls user exit EXIT_SAPLMPR1_001 and transfers information on the materials to be forecast.
    4. The user exit must have the forecast values from the external system at its disposal.
    5. After the user exit is run, the forecast values are posted in the SAP system.
you will need to sue custome logic to upload the excel sheet may be using GUI_UPLOAD functyion module in above user exit.

  • Dates copied

    Hi
Wahich dates can be  copied to which other dates .Like forecast dates, basic date, actual dates, schedule dates. Please mention how can be copied and from which date to which other date.
    Zinni

Scheduled Dates( earliest and latest)WBS can be copied to Basic Dates . Forecast dates can be copied from  basic dates and vice versa,
For this, go ot Project Plannig board(Gantt Chart). Follow menu path: Edit > Select > WBS Elements. Then follow path: Edit > Reconcile Dates > Copy scheduled dates ( copy scheduled dates to Basic Dates). 2) Edit > Reconcile Dates > Transfer forecast dates to Basic and vice versa.

  • Dp--help me out

    Hi....  gurus
    to all
    can anybody help me out...plz..
1 what is the use of Time stram ID in the Storage Bucket Profile??<br />
    2. What the mean of Fiscial year Variant in Storage Bucket Profile? How we can create that Variant ? What are the setting are there to create? what is the use of it??
    3. if SBF horizon is 2 years then PBF horizon is 3 years so is that possible to give more than SBF?
    4. so DP planning is in months so wnat to send it to SNP in Months and weaks? so where is the setting we do???
    5.what is the Ex-post ???
    6.  What is the mean of UNiverate???
    7. what are the Methods have in DP???how may they are?? can u explain each??
    8. which period is display in  interactive demand plan is that period display specied in SBF or PBF or Planning Book???
    9. Which period ( Horison)  should be in large i mean to say whether specified Planning Book horizon or Master forecast profile horizon ? among both which one should be large?

    1. What is the field -- Fiscial year Variant in Storage Bucket Profile?
The Fiscal year is picked up based on the fiscal year variant you define in the Storage Bucket profile.
2)if the storage bucket profile period is 2 year. planning bucket profile period is 3 year? so is it possible to give 3 years in PBF than SBF? (specified period is 2 years in SBF)
See the simple logic is your PBF should always be sub set of the SBP.
It is you can have SBP as 3 years and PBF as 1,2 or 3 years.
3)in demand planing the planning has done in MONTHs. so needs to send to snp in months and weeks. How?
Demand planning is long term planning & SNP- Medium planning,
Thoug you are planning in months in DP,if you are using the SBP as monthly and weekly in DP you can then transfer forecast  to SNP in months and weeks.
4)what is the UNIVERATE. why we call Univerate .
This profile as the name suggests is based on a single factor....
    Like this mathematical expression
    Y=aX
where a is the single factor
    X is the historical value.
    Y is the forecast value.
You can observe in the above expression that Y can vary only based on a factor called a,i.e a single factor,
    Hence it is called Univariate,
we have other smoothening factors like Alpha, beta, gamma,Sigma which will purify our forecast value.
5)What are the forecsting methods in demand planning. How many they are? what are they? can u explaing? plz...
    There are primarily three profiles:
    1)Univariate
    2)Composite
    3)MLR
It would be difficult to explain about them here,
Please refer the below link further to understand them:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm50/helpdata/en/8f/9d6937089c2556e10000009b38f889/frameset.htm
5)which Horizon should be large? is it PB Horizon or WE specified in in Master Forecast Profile. In both profile we specified Horions. which one should be large horizon?
Here the Forecast horizon that we define in Master Forecast profile should always be subset of the one which we define in the Planning book.
