Transfer sms msgs from E75 to N900

How can I use phone switch from E75 to transfer my sms msgs to N900?  In other words, what do I need to do to receive these on the N900?

Go on to the message manager in PC Suite, let it read your phone, select the messages you want to save and drag them to the folder on you PC you want to save them in.
I tested this last night and it worked but I could not find a way of getting them back to your inbox and could only save to drafts but I used my N70 so your two handsets may differ slightly.
Depends if you just want to save the messages or have them on your new handset.
The good news is this method only seems to copy them and not physically move them so you can afford to play a bit.Message Edited by ricksvill on 13-Aug-2006

  • Transfer of msgs from mem card to phone mem

I purchased an 8gb card and i want to transfer msgs from my old card to new one.
So how do i do that?
Firstly how do i transfer msgs from my old mem card to phone mem?
IF YOU FIND POSTS HELPFUL HIT THE BIG GREEN BOX TO THE LEFT WITH THE WHITE STAR IN IT THANKS

Take a backup of messages on PC using Nokia suite. Repalce the card and restore messages...
For transfering these messages to Phone memory you may follow the same procedure but change the settings : Messaging -> Options -> Settings -> Other -> Memory in use: change from  "Memory card" to "Phone memory" and perform the operation of restore without putting in the new memory card...
If you find this to your satisfaction, pl. hit the Green star..

  • Is it possible to transfer sms conversations from one iphone to another?

    Hey Guys,
I accidentally cleared the sms conversation between my girlfriend and I on her iphone, she doesn't use itunes so I cant just restore it from her last sync. I still have the conversation on my iphone tho, is there any way I can transfer it from my phone to hers. Any help would be great
    Cheers.

    I doubt it.
You could investigate PhoneView or MobileSyncBrowser (or maybe TouchCopy), which could let you get the SMS messages as a text file and then she could save it on her computer. I'm guessing it has sentimental value?
But I don't think there is any feasible way to get it onto her phone. Oh wait, you could also take screenshots of the conversation and then email them from your camera roll to her. Probably easiest.

  • How can I transfer sms data from a corrupted backup to my phone?

    Hello chaps,
I have an empty iphone, and two backups, from this morning and four months ago.
Restoring the backup from this morning gives the error 'corrupted or incompatible'. I have tried various solutions from forums, none of them work.
So instead I have restored sucesfully from the four month old backup. The ONLY thing I want from the new backup are my sms's.
How do I get these onto my phone?
I have already tried copying the sms file (3d0d7e5fb2ce288813306e4d4636395e047a3d28) from the NEW backup to the OLD backup and tried to restore that, however if I do this it throws the corrupted message.
I have read this file using sql readers, it has all my texts in wonderful glory, I just WANT THEM ON MY PHONE!
    How!?

For a start- Im very suspicious of the corrupted mesage in the first place, I have had previous experiences of this message where restarting etc has resolved the issue, implying that there isnt really anything courrupted, its some bug with itunes or the iphone.
Secondly, even if it is genuinely corrupted, it would seem unlikely that every single file within the backup is corrupted. I only want to retrieve the 30mb sms file. And I can open and browse this file from the corrupted backup just fine using third party software.

  • Mesage Transfer (SMS & MMS) from Nokia 6600 to Nok...

Hy! I hope, that somebody could help me out. I just want to transfer the existing message from my 6600 to my new baby N93. The message on 6600 are stored in phone memory. I know that I can back up my data from N6600 2 my PC, but it isn`t posssible to transfer the saved mesages to a N-series pone. Is there any possibility to realize the transfer. I hope somebody can help me. Could I do it manually via some kind of file explorer?

You can put all, by PCSuite on PC, but you already know that. After, the only way, is put the messages from PC to Draf folder on new phone. Not a great thing, but only way, as far as I know.

  • How do I receive SMS msgs from iPhone on my android

I cannot seem to receive text messages from iPhone users on my android smart phone. Does anyone know if it's a carrier issue or the phone itself. Thanks in advance

I apologize about the odd style but I'm using voice rec software.  I just got the Galaxy S five and I have this problem too after weeks of searching online I finally figured out the problem it is with iMessage even if you have your old phones imessage switched off. you have to get your friends to text you normally and send. If the text bubble shows up blue, press and hold choose option send as SMS or text and the bubble will change to green green means SMS blue is the iMessage so its up to the iPhone user to take literally a half of an extra step to send a text to you and if they don't do that then they're just jerks

  • How do i transfer SMS messages from iPhone 2g to iPhone 5?

    Hey everyone,
I've just upgraded from the original iPhone 2g, to an iPhone 5.
I backed up my 2g phone to my computer, and then restored my new iPhone 5 frm that back up. However eveything from my old phone has transferred accross (Music, Photos, Notes etc...) but none of my text messages have transferred accross onto my new phone.
Does anyone know why this has happened, and how / if I can get my old messages onto my new phone?
Thanks for your help in advance.

You can try to restore again, but I wouldn't count on it working.
The iPhone 5 uses iMessage which wasn't available on the 2G, so there might be an incompatibility.
Honestly, I wouldn't even use the backup from the 2G - it's a 6 yr old phone model and you might be carrying over some setting that isn't desirable on a new device.

  • Problem: Transfer SMS from N9 to Lumia 630

    Hi there,
I'm having problems transfering my SMS messages from my old N9 to my Lumia 630.
    1. Transfer my Data does not work: It finds the messages and pictures but then it gets interrupted and I get the message on the Lumia 630: "No Connection - If it's not clear why these problems...". It CAN transfer the pictures, however.
    2. I have transferred messages to the computer from the N9 - both in a CSV file and also every message separately. Is there a way I could import them to the Lumia this way? PC Suite doesn't seem to work with the Lumia - it doesn't recognize the device.
    3. Are there any other ways this could be done?
    I am running Windows 7 64-bit.
    Cheers!

  • Transfer sms from ios 4 to 6

    is there any application like
    http://www.backuptrans.com
to transfer sms from ios 4 to ios 6 without any problem on PC ?

Yes, it will work as the backup is not iOS dependant. If you take a backup with iOS 4 & upgrade your device to iOS 6, it will not restore your OS to 4 in case you use that backup.

  • HT4623 Transfer SMS from iPhone 4 to iPhone 5

I have just bought the new iPhone 5 and I am having problems transferring my SMS from my iPhone 4.
My iBook is too old to plug in my iPhone 5 so I have had to use my parents laptop instead.
Can anyone tell me if my old SMS can be transferred to my new phone and if so how can I do this?
I have tried, but have had no luck

To transfer sms, photos, contacts and apps from one iPhone 4 to iPhone 5:
    1. Connect two iPhone to PC.
    2. Choose the category list of iPhone 4 that you need to export files
    3. Check the files that need to export in the Content Panel and click "Transfer file(s) from device to device" button
    4. All the checked files from your iPhone 4 can be transferred to iPhone 5.
And there are two articles about transferring files from iPhone to iPhone:
