Transfering Cost from one WBS to Other while retaining CE

Dear Gurus,
My client requires to transfer cost from 1WBS of a project to several WBS's. We maintain different CoCd's for all the projects. Client also wants Fi document to keep track of the transaction, hence he has reject option of Manual reposting.
My requirement is as under, (for eg.)
WBSA CE(111) to WBS1 (CE111) amt 123
WBSA CE(222) to WBS2 (CE222) amt 655
WBSA CE(333) to WBS3 (CE333) amt 998
WBSA CE(444) to WBS4 (CE444) amt 456
WBSA CE(555) to WBS5 (CE555) amt 124
WBSA CE(666) to WBS6 (CE666) amt 564
WBS's 1-6 may or may not be from same project.
but in reality when I test settlement rule for 1st transaction, I realized a behavior of settlement rule as belows,
Cost 123 in WBSA CE(111)  went to WBS1 but proportionally splitted to various CE's i.e. CE111= 5.2,CE111= 27.6,CE111= 42,CE111= 19.2,CE111= 5.2,CE111= 23.8.
Please assist.

Hi once more ...
i will try to elaborate based on your example...
please use transaction OKEU to create source structure.
Create (for example) 1 source structure (ex ZZ) with
6 different assignments
(ex assignment 1 for cost element 111
assignment 2 for cost element 222
assignment 3 for cost element 333
assignment 4 for cost element 444
assignment 5 for cost element 555
assignment 6 for cost element 666)
Then you have to maintain the settlement rule of your sender wbs element WBSA and create 6 different segments as you may probably have done already.
Be careful when entering the settlement rule use F8 button to go to Settlement parameters and insert the source structure ZZ that you have created.
Then in each of the the assignments fill in the appropriate Source assignment field: in the example it will be
WBS1 assignment 1 for cost element 111 ->Source Assignment 1
WBS2 assignment 2 for cost element 222 ->Source Assignment 2
WBS3 assignment 3 for cost element 333 ->Source Assignment 3
WBS4 assignment 4 for cost element 444 ->Source Assignment 4
WBS5 assignment 5 for cost element 555 ->Source Assignment 5
WBS6 assignment 6 for cost element 666 ->Source Assignment 6...
This way the system will not take proportionally from each cost element the amount but will only look for the cost elements
you have specified.
If you have more cost elements in your wbs WBSA (sender) that you don't want to settle then create an assignment 7 with the rest of the cost elements that will not be settled.
Run the settlement to see the results (CJ88,CJ8G)
Try it and let me know for your findings....

  • How to transfer costs from one WBS to another WBS?

    Hi,
    I want to transfer costs from one WBS to another. Remember two currencies are maintained viz. local and group.
    So how can i transfer the balance such that both the local currency and group currency balance gets transferred.
    Please ensure that the transfer should show 0 balance outstanding in CJI3 report.
    I need to transfer because WBS is holding some value which was not settled in the previous year.

    Hi
    You can transfer the Amount from One WBS to Another through KB11N. In this you Choose the Screen Variant as "_WBS/Network_" and do necessary steps.
    Hope it helps.

  • Transfer cost from one WBS to another WBS

    Hi,
    I have transfered Actual Costs from one WBS to another WBS manually using transaction KB11N - Manual Reposting of Primary Cost.
    But in S_ALR_87013542 report, Still the old WBS is visible with No costs.
    What are the consequence of doing the transfer and where it will affect?
    Can i delete the old WBS after transfer?
    Thanks

    Once you do a transfer posting system will pass a credit entry (negative value) to the old WBSE. so the net effect will be zero.

  • Transferring App from one workspace to other in Hosted Environment.

    Hi,
    I have two work space viz. dev_application and prod_application in hosted environment.
    This is the first time i will be transferring an application from development to production ( Note: I am not a software engineer. I am a MIS who works with excel and was trying my hand to convert excel based work to apex which proved to be a big big big hit* ).
    Can anyone guide me to transfer my development application to production environemnt.
    My application has :-
    1. Application
    2. a jquery filed in image direcory
    3. Table , sequences , index , functions.
    Note: My application is in HOSTED ENVIRONMENT
    A step by step help or a link to a good tutorial will be highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Shijesh

    Create DDL scripts to set up each database environment the way you need to (create tables, indexes, packages, etc.). Use Oracle database utilities like datapump export to export data from one database and import into another. About javascript, you need to specify your requirements precisely in terms of where it is stored. Same with images and css.
    If you are creating a packaged application for installation in numerous databases you can create an installation script that goes with the application. See the User's Guide and the Supporting Objects page in the Builder after you select an application. There are lots of instructions throughout.

  • I am switching from a pc to mac and want to know how I go about transferring files from one to the other.  There is a chance that I will have to hand my pc back before I receive my MacBook so I will need to transfer on to some sort of external hard drive.

    I am switching from an acer laptop to a MacBook Pro.  I may have to hand in my laptop before I receive my new MacBook. What is the best way to back up my files so that I can transfer them to my MacBook.  I cloud cannot be installed on my laptop because it uses a version of windows that is older and doesn't support it.  Hope someone can help.

    Connect a blank powered external drive to the PC.
    Right click on the Disk in the File manager and choose format: exFAT
    (if it's a XP machine, first install exFAT from Microsoft and reboot)
    navigate to your user account folders on the PC and drag and drop copy (or copy and paste) to the external drive.
    (if a program has your files, then export them out first)
    Hook up the drive to the Mac, and transfer files to the desktop or to their same appropritate folders.
    Import photo's into iPhoto program, import music into iTunes etc and they will manage those files.
    You can continue to use the external exFAT drive between Mac's and PC's
    Do not format the drive NTFS or FAT, NTFS can't be written too by the Mac and FAT can't hold over 4GB sized files.
    If you format exFAT on the Mac, it likely won't work correctly on the  PC.
    "Migration" type programs are a utter waste of time and effort between PC's and Mac's for the fact that only certain files (and no programs or anything else) will work between them, also it's a hassle and takes too long. So don't even bother with it.

  • After Settlement, Cost not transfer from one WBS to another WBS in customer project

    Hello Experts,
    I am trying to settle cost from one WBS (i.e. XYZ-000014-1) to another WBS (i.e. XYZ-00001)in customer project.
    Its a revenue type of project.
    I have added 4 internal activities in an network under one WBS (i.e. XYZ-000014-1).
    Got actual values after confirming activities, then settle that network cost on WBS (i.e. XYZ-000014-1)  through CJ88.
    Now while trying to settle that cost from WBS (i.e. XYZ-000014-1) to WBS (i.e. XYZ-00001) through CJ88, system not showing any result.
    Kindly give ur valuable inputs.
    Regards,

    Kindly tell me that is it a standard functionality of SAP that through CJ88 we can transfer cost from WBS to WBS.
    Technically ,Yes.Cost is actually transferred from one cost object to another cost object.
    I hv discuss the same with some of my frds ...some are denying the same that its not a standard functionality of SAP to transfer cost on same cost object.
    Instead of 'transfer' I would rather use the word 'settlement' . Practically, they are right as projects-WBS are temporary endeavors of companies, and cost can not reside on WBS permanently as it has to settle to some entity (organizational unit) which can be accounted during the reconciliation of their chart of accounts and balance sheets.
    SAP has provided us an option to settle our cost to WBS and hence its standard . Generally, we use it when we have 1 WBS at level 1 and all lower WBS's costs is settled to this WBS . Here, we specify Level 1 WBS as the receiver of cost of these lower WBS.
    Hope,I am clear here.

  • Moving NWA from one WBS to another and consolidated costs under WBS

    HI,
    I'm restructuring the project by moving released NWA from one WBS to another to aling actual costs with new budget categories.
    After moving these NWA I run the report and found out that WBS element summarize costs even if there is no NWA under this specific WBS.
    What field should I enable to allow WBS elements recalculate costs according to new NWA under these WBS.
    Thanks,

  • Revenue transferred  from one WBS to Another

    Hi ,
    Is any realationship exists to check the revenue transferred and realted information from one WBS to another.WBS ? The main criteria is -From WBS  to TO WBS  for revenue transfer?
    Thanks

    CJI3 report with the field Partner Object should show you the sender and receiver WBS if revenues have been manually reposted.

    hi
    what are the apps version local and remote database???
    Snapshot too old errors occur because Oracle can 't reconstruct a consistent
    image of a block for the purposes of a consistent read.
    I feel at remote database, you are using UNDO, it will be rather easy to iincrease the undo retention time or increase the undo tablespace size.. if you are dealing with roll back segments, you may have rollback segments whose optimal values are too small...
    increase roll back segments size and select again then

    I hope you can export from one client and import to other client.
    Already Ferry Mentioned GR22 Transaction.
    Use GR22->utilities -> export ( Keep it as one .txt file)

    Hi Sir/madam,
       Can u explain how can i transport objects from one server to other like (Development To Quality To Production).
    Regards,
    Vishali.

    Hi Vishali,
    Step 1: Collect all Transports(with Packages) in Transports Tab(RSA1)- CTO
    Step 2: Release the subrequests first and then the main request by pressing Truck button
    Step 3: STMS or Customized transactions
    Object Collection In Transports:
    The respective Transports should have the following objects:
    1. Base Objects -
    a. Info Area
    b. Info object catalogs
    c. Info Objects
    2. Info Providers u2013

    l. (Note) If the transfer structures and related objects are being transferred without preceding
    Base Objects transport (e.g. while fixing an error) it is safer to transport the related Info
    Objects as well.

Right now I am using sql statements to deduct and add the items to and from warehouse. Its not working properly.  Please let me if any business object is provided by SAP to achieve this functionality.

    Hello Noor,
    You can use stocktransfer object:
    Private Sub PostStockTransfer()
            Dim oDoc As SAPbobsCOM.StockTransfer = oCompany.GetBusinessObject(BoObjectTypes.oStockTransfer)
            oDoc.DocDate = Date.Today()
