Transfering Music to Nokia 5310

Hi There,
Recently solved a problem with downloading music from the Nokia Store only to be confronted with another one. This time when I try and transfer the music over to my phone
it will always skip over the first track and then only transfer some of the others.
I have already reformated my memory card, and I was wondering if there was anything
else I could do to solve the problem.

in regard to the songs u r transferring to the phone, what file formats are they in?
the phone supports mp3, midi, aac, aac+, eaac+ and wma only. u can see this here: http://www.nokia-asia.com/A4415200
if u r using any other file formats, the phone will not be able to play it

Transferring music to Nokia N95

I am having trouble transferring music from my pc to my Nokia N95 I have pc suite, it keeps telling me no memory left on phone but I have loads of memory on my sd card.
It is now not displaying that message but I have no idea how to get the music moved, it is not doing it for me. Have loads of music I want to put on my phone can anyone help?

This is what i do to transfer music. Load pc suite on comp. Plug fone in to comp, select pc suite on fone. load tranfer music (make sure pc suite is up to date version). Put in cd wait for it to run and for the online music data bank to recognise cd. select all the tracks i want to transfer. on the botton right of the window is a green arrow pointing at a picture of a phone, i just click that and wait for the track to be converted then tranferred. There is a indicator that shows how much memory you have free. Does this show your card as full?

Transferring Music to Nokias/Nokia 3250

Please can you clarify if it is possible to transfer and play music to Nokia phones? I have the ROKKR which I detest but like the i tunes facility.
I want to buy a Nokia 3250, but need to check if you must use the PC Software (which I cant on a mac) or if I can transfer music from my mac ok.

Thanks. I have been able to do this via bluetooth and the usb cable. The Nokia 3250 is a much better phone than the ROKKR, but i miss the itunes sync.
Nokia do a music manager for only the N91.
Does anyone know of software that woudl sync/mnage songs from itunes?

Problem transfering music to Nokia 5000

Using Nokia PC Suite version 7.0.9.2 under Windows Vista Ultimate, 64-bit, using Bluetooth connection to my Nokia 5000.
I'm trying to transfer music files to the phone using Nokia Music Manager. I'm unable to play any transferred files in my phone - whenever I try, I'm getting "File corrupted" message. The converted files (to AAC format) play fine in Music Manager itself. Also, if I transfer the original MP3 files directly using file transfer, they play fine in the phone.
The same problem also existed with the previous version of Nokia PC Suite (I think that was 7.0.8.2).

3. Copy & Paste all your music tracks into ur Mem Card via Mass Storage Mode.

Comes with music on Nokia 5310 just bought Nokia 5...

I have a 5310 comes with music but have just bought a 5800 and was wondering is there any way I can get the music on my 5800, can I change registration from the 5310 to the 5800 ? I have only had the 5310 a few days so I am not sure if there is a way to do this, thank you for any help or advice..

In fact, there are limited circumstances in which you can transfer your account to another phone, but I'm afraid it still doesn't help in this case.
If you buy another Comes With Music phone (it has to come from a Comes With Music sales box, not just any one of the supported models) then you can transfer your existing account to it instead of using the PIN code with it to create a new account. At the moment, that means you could upgrade to an N95 8Gb-CWM or an N96-CWM. Nokia did say that 5800XM-CWMs would be available , but I believe thety have not yet started.
This service is about to be launched in quite a lot of European countries, including France.

Nokia 5310 Comes With Music problem

I've had my Nokia 5310 and Comes with Music since December and have yet to figure out how to transfer the music I've gotten from Comes with Music.
I've spent aeons on the phone to Nokia customer services and we have figured out so much as it's not the memory card, the phone, the registration with comes with music, or my computer.
I've managed to go through Windows Media Player and transfer OLD music to my phone which plays as normal. When I transfer a comes with music song, it says there is an error. Then I check my phone and the song is on there... But when I press it to play it says, "recieving activation key" and "subscribe to packet data first". I took a stab at what this means and got personal configuration settings for MMS and Sych and Streaming but they dont seem to work, because I still can't send picture messages. Go figure.
Can anyone help? I payed for this and it's not working, no one seems to know whats wrong.

If you can't sent pictures thru mms, then its not properly configured for your phone. I would advice you to give your provider a call & have the configuration for packet services sent to you, or give you instruction on how to do it with your phone. Ask also what services are being offered to you.

Nokia Music does not see my Nokia 5310

Hey guys I brought a Nokia 5310, been having Issue's with it.
When I plug in the phone I select Printing and Media, The PC see#s it and tells me it has connected. I can see the handset in My Computer and have full access to it, if i look on Nokia PC Suite it see's it but says it's in a un supported mode and if i click transfer music it finds the device. The only thing that does not see the device is Nokia Music it's self. For security reason's I run my profile as a limited account instead of a full access account, if i load up the admin account and then Nokia music it see's the device but I have no DRM's so can not transfer my music. If i run Nokia music on the normal account but right click and run as admin it still does not work. It was working but has suddenly stopped
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Nokia Music, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the device and I have checked settings everywhere and still don't know what to do.
Any Idea's?

I have realised that when I plug it in when logged on as admin i can transfer music to the phone and it plays fine however I can't play it on the admin account only on my normal account, so this is kinda half resolved that I can transfer my music using one account but not resolved because i have to swap accounts each time
O well, still any help in getting it resolved would be great!

this explanation wasn't 100% technically accurate, but the bottom line is the same.
Apple iTunes sells (most) songs in a "protected AAC" format. The "protection" (DRM) controls what you can do with the song, which basically means that you can play it on the computer and on an iPod, and nowhere else. Most people slowly discover how much that sucks, when they wanna play their purchased songs on other (non-Apple) devices.
The Nokia 5310 plays MP3, WMA (windows format), AAC and M4A (also known as eAAC+), but only the non-protected files.
There is one way to convert your protected songs, which is to burn them to an audio CD (which is usually a "permitted" action for protected songs), and then rip them back to MP3 or so. Obviously, that's a major annoyance.
So vote with your money (stop buying protected songs) and complain to Apple.

Sometimes the compatibility thing may vary. Even if the nokia website says that is not compatible with that device, they can be sure compatible each other.

Nokia 5310 music player manual/automatic???

Hi, some months ago I've broke my nokia 5310 xpressmusic phone, today I've bought a new exactly like the old one but one feature I liked on my old phone was that when I went into gallery and open a music it automatly goes to music player and I could move forward/backward and skip music's in the same folder... Now, to open the music player I need to go to media open it and chose the music's I want to hear... If someone know how to activate automatly music player please answer this topic

the error you describe usually relates to the advanced track information in the IDv3 fields. i would suggest that rather than using iTunes, to edit the song information using Windows Media Player. however, first make sure the Album name in windows explorer is matching first, then import these songs into Windows Media Player. after that, right click on each song and select Advanced Tag Editor. for Track Info make sure the Album field is the same for all songs, and also that Artist and Album Artist (in Artist Info) are the same.
this should solve your problem, providing you are using a windows machine of course, not sure about mac

Nokia 5310 Express Music - Screensaver, Powersave ...

Hi.
My nokia 5310 Express Music (my software version is V09.42), has suddenly changed.
My screensaver, powersave and sleep mode stopped working. I have everything ON in the settings.
After some time the screen turns black, but I can still see the wallpaper.
And, if I don't use it for a while the keypad stop working too. If I turn it off and then turn on again it starts working. (I use to believe that it was a hardware problem, but the thing is, when the keypad doesn't work, the volume button,and the PLAY does not work too.
I think both of the problems are related, (the screensaver, powersave, sleep mode, keypad) because they appeared at the same time.
I've tried to update the software using the USB cable, I've tried to restore to the factory settings, I've tried taking out the battery, everything and still not working.
I don't know what to do anymore. Can any of you guys help me?

hi im usman manii i have nokia 5310 xm my phone were hang or restart when im go in gallery memory card then i connect my phone with nokia pc suite and update my phone software then its near at updating then my computer is restart the my phone software were not download soo today i'll go to nokia care i submit my phone if any software problem then 3 to 5 days otherwise rejected so what will i do if they rejected

first,please try to write using commas and dots, otherwise it is very hard for people to understand your problem.
so,its actually very simple:if nokia service center decide they won't solve your problem just go to another center.i'm sure there are plenty.anyone with medium service reparing knowledge and a proper flashing box can help you.

Transferring Music Bought from Nokia Music Store u...

I have bought music from Nokia’s Music Store (specifically, on the Finnish ‘Nokia Musiikkikauppa’). I have downloaded the music files to my computer, and would like to transfer them to my phone, a Nokia N82. In order to do that, I have tried to use Nokia Music Manager (v2.0). I am able to find the songs I downloaded on my PC in the ‘My Collection’ section of Nokia Music Manager, and I can see my phone ‘N82’ in the list below. However, when I go to File -> Copy to Phone, the ‘Copy to Phone’ line is greyed-out, and I cannot use that function. This makes no sense to me. Can it really be that I cannot use ‘Nokia Music Manager’ to transfer music I bought at the ‘Nokia Music Store?’
I partially suspect that this is indeed the case. From the Nokia Music Store help section, I have read “You need to use [Windows Media Player] in order to be able to play, burn and transfer the DRM-protected WMA files from Nokia Music Store.” From this, it would seem that only Windows Media Player can be used to transfer Nokia Music Store music to Nokia phones. However, I simply find it beyond belief that Nokia’s own music manager software cannot be used to transfer music bought from Nokia’s own music store to Nokia’s own devices.
Can anyone shed light on this case?

i had this problem, try doing it through the windows media player. i cannot remember exactly how i did it in the end but i did burn the music to a disc and i'm wondering if i loaded it from the cd in the end?
