Transferring file from SAP system to another system.

Hi all,
i have created a report which saves PO details of a perticular vendor into sap internal system in *.xls format.
but i need to drop that file into an external system whose ip address and password is known to me.
I am facing the access problem with ftp connect.
there is only one port open of that system. how can i connect that through the port.

Send binary files from SAP System to SAP XI/PI

Dear experts,
in our SAP ERP-System we have a link to JPG files which are stored in an archive. We want to send these files with some other information to our SAP XI and then store them on a file server. Is there a way to send a MIME attachment via RFC? Or is there another way to send binary files from SAP ERP to SAP XI? We want to avoid polling the files on OS level.

Most recommended way is to go for ABAP proxies. They support attachments.

Transfering Files from one computer to another over the internet using ftp

I am not sure if this is the right section to post this question but i wanted to know if it was possible to use the mac ftp file sharing to transfer a file from a friends computer to mine. He is not on my network we were hoping to transfer the file over the internet the file is quite larger about 2gb. Can any one help me in telling me a way that i could do this thanks.

This may be a problem if the target machine is behind a router.

How can I attach an existing Excel file from SAP system (Example in 'DIR_TEMP' folder) & send a mail. Guess this requires a class with a method which picks up the file using the file path. Does CL_DOCUMENT_BCS provides this???? boz CL_DOCUMENT_BCS->ADD_DOCUMENT_AS_ATTACHMENT is for Add Existing Document as an Attachment,if so please let me know how with few lines of code??

As you know SAP SRM and SAP PI are different boxes.
*_Option 1:_*
we need a shared AL11 directory in between SAP SRM and SAP PI (Ask basis to setup shared folder). Place / Populate the file in the folder from SAP SRM and then it can be picked through sender file communication channel.
In this case you (Basis team) will share one folder which is visible from the AL11 transaction of both the systems (SRM and PI). You will drop .csv file using some report or program from SRM at this location and from PI you can read that file using File communication channel (NFS mode).
Option 2:
Setup a FTP at SRM environment and expose some folder which can be accessible from PI. Use sender file communication channel at PI end to pick the file.
You can use this option incase sharing of folder is not possible (due to network / other constrains). Here FTP server is required to expose any folder as FTP so as it can be accessible from internet (remote location). You need to expose some folder at SRM machine. You will drop .csv file using some report or program from SRM at this location. Now PI can fetch the file from that location using sender file communication channel (FTP Mode) providing user credentials.

My requirement is to read the .csv file from the desktop system having the shared folder and delete the file after read successfully.
Here I can read the .csv file from the location using the function RFC_REMOTE_FILE and updated the content into internal table.
But I cant delete the file from the presentation server ( Desktop system).
Can anyone tell me how to delete the .csv file from the desktop system on different location.

The solution to delete the file from remote system is
concatenate 'DEL' i_filename i_dirname into v_bkfile separated by space .
call function 'RFC_REMOTE_EXEC'

Please execute T code MM60 or the required T code to get the list of materials and Go to sap menu Bar ->setting->list->save->local to spreedsheet and save it your desk top to create an Excel file.

we have scenario: download data from 3rd party system to the file and later on import this file to the SAP EPR system.
What possiblity we have when we want to use SAP XI? Only create new RFC functions to be able upload files? Or it is possible to re-use currect program for upload file?
And reverse scenario? We download data to file from SAP ERP and later on import to 3rd party system. It is possible to re-use program used for download data?

Downloading data from the third party system to File system will be out of XI Job.that ur other team has to take care.

From the file system to SAP R/3 we can do using XI
File---XI-SAP R/3( Use IDOC/ RFC/ PRoxy)
In the other way also

I am getting below error message in BO Test environment when I refresh WebI document.

It was working when we migrated the objects initially. Subsequently when we try to refresh WebI document we are getting the above error message. It still works in BO Dev environment and the no of records are the same in Dev and Test.
I am able run the underlying BEx query in SAP BW Test environment and it does return data.
I checked ST22 and SM21 log, but no details there.
Is it related to Authorization on the Universe or Bex Query?
We are in the middle of UAT and not able to move forward. I would greatly appreciate your input.

I ran the zip file and added the required entries to registry.
And then I tried to reproduce the error, but the files are not generated instead I noticeed below error message on the server:
