Transferring iphone photos to the pc
I NEED TO KNOW IF ANYBODY CAN HELP ME , I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO TRANFER PICTURES FROM MY I PHONE TO COMP AND HOW TO TRANSFER PICS OR MUSIC TO THE I PHONE, IF ANYBODY CAN HELP , PLEASE. THANKS
When I was using Vista for my iPhone, this is how it worked for me.
I opened up iTunes, then plugged in my phone. A pop-up screen came up and asked if I wanted to do something with my photos. I said yes, and then my photos were copied to my Photos folder. They remained on the iPhone.
After that was done my phone would show up in iTunes.

Transferring Iphone photos to Iphoto on laptop - small!
If I take a photo on my Iphone 4 - or if someone sends me a photo they took on their IPhone - and then I transfer it to my IPhoto on my MacBook Pro, it's very small - I can't enlarge it at all. Advice??
Not sure why they would be small. However, any photo can be resized with a decent graphics program. Try this one: http://www.lemkesoft.com/

Transfering iphone photos to my laptop
simple basic issue here. I have taken photos on my iphone, all stored in "camera roll" - now how do I transfer them to my laptop? Do I have to email them to myself? Or is there a simpler/faster way to sync?
If you have Windows, plugging in your iPhone makes another drive in Windows File Explorer (Windows-Key+E).
Just go there and look for a drive called Apple iPhone.
Optionally you can navigate to it from any picture viewer application, including Windows Image Viewer, because Windows simply treats the iPhone like a drive/folder.

Transferring iphone photos from folder onto computer?
Hey. Basically iCloud messed up for me. It didn't download all my videos to my new iPhone, because I didn't have enough storage or whatever.
I have multiple folders of photos on my iphone, and was wondering how do I move the photos from inside those folders to my computer? Or have I basicaly lost them forever? As its only on my iPhone 4 that they are located..Importing personal photos and videos from iOS to a computer
iCloud Photo Stream does not sync/backup videos. -
Transfering Iphone photos to computer from Adobe Photoshop app
I cannot get the Adobe Photoshop app to show up in the apps I can transfer files from to my computer
I am trying to use these instructions from Apple Help
Transfer files from your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad to your computer
Connect your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad to your computer and select your device.
Click Apps.
Below File Sharing, from the list on the left, select the app on your device that you want to transfer a file from.
From the list on the right, select the file you want to transfer, and click “Save to.”
In the window that appears, select the destination where you want to save the file, and click Open.
The file is saved to the selected destination on your computer. -
I transferred some photos to my iphone via email and they have very low resolution. First I sent them from iPhoto with highest resolution, then I transferred them to my desktop in highest resolution and added them to an email, opened the email and saved to my Camera roll. They all look like low resolution photos. This is the exact method I have used to transfer photos in the past with my 4S and never had a problem. What am I doing wrong? Is this a bad camera? HELP please! Thank you!
My husband has the same phone, we purchased them at the same time. I sent him the same photos in the same email that I downloaded them from and on his phone they show up with the normal higher resolution. Is it possible that there is something wrong with my iPhone or is there a setting that can be changed? I'm still learning to use it. All my other photos are of normal resolution. Does this make any sense to anyone?
Please help!

I have transferred all photos from iPad and iPhone to Mac. I have deleted almost all photos from both (about 200 remaining on each). I do not store tunes or videos. After making these changes, I still have the same message in iCloud.
Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage > Select your device (listed as 'This iPhone' or 'This iPad') then look at the next backup size. Compare the 'Next Backup Size' to the 'Backup Size' on taht same screen. If the next backup size is smaller, then you have successfully removed some content from your device.
Now the question still lingers as to why your iCloud is still showing so full right? Well, iCloud keeps the last 3 backups from each device. It doesn't duplicate them, but it uses an incremental backup system. So basically your device's backup will take up as much space on iCloud as the largest backup of the last 3 backups. With that being said, your iPhone and ipad will eventually shrink the size of your backup (if that next backup size is smaller) in about 3 days (3 backups assuming your iOS devices backup once as day when you are sleeping).
Can I expedite this? Well of course you can. If you want, you can Delete the backup from both of the devices via that same screen then go back to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup, turn iCloud Backups back on, then backup now. Keep in mind that if you do this, it will clear out your last 3 backups (and cannot be undone), but it may also take a long while for your iPhone and iPad to complete that inital backup after deleting the old backups.
I hope this helps. (My Recommendation: Basically check what's in paragraph one, then it will works itself out in a few days.) -
Hello iv just recently transferred 3600 photos to my phone from my laptop. But when i go to upload a picture to facebook it only seems to go to my camera roll to choose a picture not my 3600 pictures.
can somebody please help :-(I am having same issue! After May 14 FB update, I can't choose ANY photos from my photo library to upload to FB mobile. It's ONLY allowing me to select from Camera Roll. It works from ipad and ipod, just not iphone 5? I used to get choices from all of my photos in Photo Library. And it has nothing to do with the privacy settings, etc that users experienced with update to IOS6. Everything is enabled and WAS working prior to may14 FB app update. Funny thing is, on the May 13 update that FB had it worked fine. When they did May 14 update, that was it. I've sent and posted notices on those discussion boards too. Hopefully they will fix soon.

TS1501 need help transferring my iphone photos to my macbook
the usb cable are plugged on the macbook and iphone 4s.....i clicked iphoto and then the iphone is under the devices...and if i click on it nothing is happening..please help my storage is full....
Are those photos in iPhone Camera Roll?
If not, the photos are from syncing with iTunes, they should be on computer.
If you want to delete iPhone photos, deselect photos in computer iTunes and do a sync. -
I have 2 questions about the new Photos app for Mac (I'm running 10.10.3 on my MacBook Air 1.8GHz Intel Core i5 mid 2012)):
1.Should I delete my old iPhoto Library Current folder once everything is transferred to Photos Library Current?
2. Does this mean that all my new photos on any device can come off my Mac and ONLY be in the Photos Library which is in the cloud? That would free 59GB off my Mac and that would be very good.1.Should I delete my old iPhoto Library Current folder once everything is transferred to Photos Library Current?
You can, but I would wait, until you have have been working with Photos for some time and are sure, that everything migrated well. There may be hidden flaws in your library and teething problems with Photos. Don't be in a hurry to abandon iPhoto completely. You may need to go back, until bugs have been fixed. Th Photos Library does not duplicate the photos in your iPhoto Library. the media files are shared and do not need extra space: See: Photos saves disk space by sharing images with your iPhoto or Aperture libraries - Apple Support
2. Does this mean that all my new photos on any device can come off my Mac and ONLY be in the Photos Library which is in the cloud? That would free 59GB off my Mac and that would be very good.
If you have enough iCloud storage. But Photos will still need space for local thumbnails on all devices.
See: Apple - OS X - Photos Preview
Fill your library, not your device.
iCloud Photo Library can help you make the most of the space on your Mac. When you choose “Optimize Mac Storage,” all your full-resolution photos and videos are stored in iCloud in their original formats, with storage-saving versions kept on your Mac as space is needed. You can also optimize storage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, so you can access more photos and videos than ever before. You get 5GB of free storage in iCloud — and as your library grows, you have the option to choose a plan for up to 1TB. -
How do I transfer photos from iPhone photo library?
How do I transfer photos from iPhone photo library?
I had my iPhoto library and Time Machine Backup on an external drive on my Mac Mini - not a clever strategy I know! I recently synced my photo library successfully with my iPhone 5 but now the external drive has died and my most recent backup (on another external drive) is 5 months old. Can anyone advise what is the simplest/quickest method of transferring these photos back from my iPhone photo library whilst ideally maintaining the 'events' folder type structure? Preview doesn't do it as this only allows me to copy photos taken with the iPHone, not the ones in the library.Do you have iPhoto on your iPhone?
Then this should work - use iTunes to sync your iPhoto Library back:
Save photos to your computer

IPhoto 11 Crash After iPhone Photos Import Corrupted Library, Cause?
Mountain Lion on MacBook Pro, iPhoto 11 v9.3.2, launched fine. Connected iPhone. Transferred 17 photos fine. Chose Delete Photos from iPhone. It crashed.
Relaunched to read that there were inconstencies in the library.... took several long stressful minutes as it "repaired" the database. No idea why it happened, or what long term impact will be. Faces spinning wheel is still going on, so no idea if that means having to painfully re-add/remove/change names from faces on thousands of pics.. Meantime, Console shows this, if it helps locate the problem or others have it too.... Thanks.

I plugged my iphone4 into my friends iMac to charge. I just want to know if I can somehow check on the iPhone to see when the last backup was or if my friend transferred my photos onto his cpu. His iMac shouldn't have recognized my phone but I'm just worried.
Thanks for any help! Some things on my phone weren't meant for there eyes ...
And also, if they backed it up could he see my text and Imessage history?? Thank uvfk wrote:
In addition to the content.... I would also be concerned about the DATA CHARGES!
I've read somewhere that one can go to the router and disable access to adult sites. I don't how to do this.
If he's using your home wifi, you can block or blacklist URLs and IP addresses on the router.
He can then disable the Wifi and use the mobile network only.
Trust me, the solution does not lie in blocking sites, blacklisting URLs etc. You can do that for the next five years and he will find another place or method to view the sites.

Basic Syncing of iPhone Photos
This is going to seem like a no brainer, but I have few basic questions about how the iPhone syncs photos. (I have read the manual, but what I've read doesn't address my questions.)
#1. Out of the box, after having taken some photos with the iPhone, does a normal sync between the iPhone and iTunes place those photos on my Mac? If so, where are they placed? (For further clarification, I have not turned on "Sync Photos From" in iTunes.)
#2. If they are not synced to my Mac, is there a way to sync them to my Mac without using iPhoto?
#3. Is there a way to upload photos to my iPhone without using iPhoto?
ThanksYou're welcome.
I never synced photos to the iPhone when I purchased it, so if I don't use iPhoto iTunes hammers all my iPhone photos.
I responded to this copied from your previous post.
This is not something I want to do, so how do I go about uploading photos to my iPhone without wiping out all my existing photos on the iPhone.
If you haven't transferred any photos from your computer to the iPhone yet, there are no photos on your iPhone unless you've captured photos with your iPhone. Photos transferred from your computer to the iPhone do not affect photos captured by your iPhone. These are separate.
Sorry but what does "iTunes hammers all my iPhone photos" mean?
So, since I've used Image Capture to copy the iPhone photos to my Mac, can I now place these photos in the 'sync' folder and sync the copied photos, and the photos I want to upload all at the same time?
Yes.
This is what I do with iPhoto. I import photos captured by the iPhone into iPhoto, and then erase the photos from the iPhone after the import process is completed. If I want any of these photos available on the iPhone for viewing, I place the chosen photos in an iPhoto Album that I transfer to the iPhone.
You can do the same thing but manually with created folders than contain the photos you want available on your iPhone. Place multiple folders that contain photos in a "parent" folder. Select the Parent folder under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences.
