Transformation File Help Conversion

Hi All,
I am wondering if we convert properties in transformation file.
For ex: I have Costcenter Dimension whose data is coming from BW and in the transformation file we have properties mapped . And I would like to know if we can convert properties using IF statement , Badi in transformation logic..
EX:
ID=ID
Z679978=Z679978 (to be converted)
Z679978 is a property which has values in format YYYYMMDD 20140912  . Can we convert this members which has specific date format ,say 12092014.
Thanks,
Krishna

Hi Andy,
I have data with "00000000" (8 zeros) and data with format 20140619 (YYYYMMDD) in my source attribute-infoobject
I am trying to use this Java script to convert this to below in conversion file
var temp = js:%external%.toString().trim() ;if(temp.length<8) then temp;else if(temp=="00000000") then temp; else 25569.0+(((new Date(temp.substr(0,4)+"/"+temp.substr(4,2)+"/"+temp.substr(6,2))).getTime()-(-19800000))/86400000);
I am not getting any validation error when trying to validate transformation file, but after loading I got formula itself  for all the dates with 20140619 (YYYYMMDD). But for Zero it is working.
Now that I have tried and it doesn't work , I need help from experts.
Thanks,
Krishna

  • Copy transformation files, conversion files through UJFS

    Hi,
    I know it is possible to download transformation files or conversion files from UJFS from one application(say App1)/environment (Dev) and can be uploaded the same into another application(App2)/environment(QA)
    But is it safe to do that way? any possible consequences anticipated?
    Thoughts/inputs appreciated.
    Regards

    Hi,
    Transformation files maps the data file uploaded by you viz., conversion file. You can download or upload transformation file and canuse it in any other application also. It doesnot have any consequences in doing so.
    Hope this helps.

  • Need Help in Sender File Content Conversion

    Hi All,
    I request your expert advice on Sender File content Conversion. I need to process the below pasted file. I was able to achieve this by keeping a offset of 6 in Sender PI File Adapter (PI 7.1) to ignore first 6 lines and used a Unix script to remove last line"END OF REPORT".
    Now my new requirement is I need to capture the date "DECEMBER 2009" from line 3. How can I do this. I have set offset as 6 so Adapter will start processing from line 7. If I don't set offset Interface fails. Please suggest. Thank you.

  • Problem with file content conversion for multiple substrcture. Please help!

    Hi Experts,
       I am using file content conversion in file sender communication channel. The input file is a flat file with data like this:

  • Conversion call in transformation files is not working

    Dear Experts,
    We are using BPC 7.5 NW SP06. For running master data load from BW, we are using the standard packages available. Whenever we are creating any transformation file keeping the conversion section blank it is working fine and getting validated. If we are creating new conversions, the same also gets validated and updated. To ascertain this, we also checked in the BW back end using UJFS t code and observed that the corresponding .CDM file is getting created in the back end. We are creating all such transformations and conversions in the default company folder. The issue lies in the fact that whenever we are referring the created conversion file in *CONVERSION section of the transformation file using the syntax:
    ID/HIER_NAME = [COMPANY]Conversion.xls!CONVERSION
    and trying validate the same we are getting the error:
    **"xml(........................CDM) file doesn't exists or empty.
    File / Document doesn't exist"*.
    We again went back to UJFS and found the CDM file is intact there with proper conversion definition. We tried to validate the same phenomenon of calling a conversion using any other transformation file. But the same error happens every time although at the back end the .CDM file gets created.
    What can be the problem here? We are stuck.
    Your expert advise is highly aprreciated.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi,
    ID/HIER_NAME = COMPANYConversion.xls!CONVERSION
    What is the file name here? Is it Conversion.xls and if it contains only one sheet then just try
    ID/HIER_NAME = CONVERSION.xls
    hope it works...

    Raju

  • Help required File Content Conversion.

    Hi All,
    Kindly help me in this topic i.e. File Content Conversion.
    -  What is File Content Conversion?
    -  Is knowledge of any programming language required?
    -  What is its function?
    -  How do I use it?
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Sreedhar, Av

    Hi Sreedhar,
    Reward points if this helps
    What is File Content Conversion?
    File content conversion is used for converting flat files (fixed lenght, comma seperated) into XML messages for further processing by an integration engine. The internal XI processing (mapping, routing etc) is based on XML messages hence you need messages to be converted to XML.
    SAP By default understands xml data structure. If your file is coming in an xml format you can process it as it is.
    In case of file that is coming with a delimiter then you need to have File content conversion for SAP adpater to conver file into an XML structure which will then go to next step of Message Mapping.
    Is knowledge of any programming language required?
    No
    What is its function?

  • Conversion File Help

    Hi everyone,
    I have run into a problem when I try to upload data using transformation and conversion file. New accounts were added and mapped to BPC accounts in one of my conversion files, However when I ran data validation on the conversion file I get the following two errors only for the new accounts added (the rest of the records are accepted):
    1. Dimension: FLOW member: CYA_YTD_151150_COS is invalid or is a calculated member
    2. Dimension: ACCOUNT member: CYA_YTD_151550_COS is invalid or is a calculated member
    It is only for the new accounts I mapped and I am 100% sure the BPC accounts I have mapped to are not calculated members. I am also 100% sure the accounts from the flat data file (e.g. CYA_YTD_151150_COS) are 100% the same. Anyone familiar with this issue?
    Thanks!

    What I mean when I say I am creating new members in the conversion file is that I am adding new rows to it (mapping accounts from the flat file to BPC) The accounts that I am mapping already exist in BPC and in the flat file.
    Below is my Transformation file. The dimension and file in question is Account and account.xls.

  • Need Help Regarding Nested IF condition in Transformation File.

    Hi,
    In BI Cube I am having 2 Currency Type values 00 and 10.
    And for some GL Accounts Cost Centres are Empty. So for these Empty 0COSTCENTER I am inserting a String CC_NONE.
    My requirement is to load Data into BPC by validating 2 Conditions for 0COSTCENTER,
    C1. Where 0CURTYPE (Currency Type) = 10 only.  *IF(0CURTYPE=*STR(10) THEN
    C2. Check where 0COSTCENTER are Empty.          *IF(*STR(CC_)+0COMP_CODE+0COSTCENTER = *STR(CC_)+0COMP_CODE
           then load the string CC_NONE.                            THEN *STR(CC_NONE);
           else load 0COSTCENTER's                                  *STR(CC_)+0COMP_CODE+0COSTCENTER))
    So entire code will be as below to load 0CostCenter into BPC
    COST_CENTER=*IF(0CURTYPE=*STR(10) THEN *IF(*STR(CC_)+0COMP_CODE+0COSTCENTER = *STR(CC_)+0COMP_CODE THEN *STR(CC_NONE); *STR(CC_)+0COMP_CODE+0COSTCENTER))
    For this, while validating the Transformation File I am getting error as,
    Command Error: STR(PC_NONE
    If there is any possibility let me know.
    Thank you,
    Hemanth

    Hi Hemanth,
    But why not to combine both checks like:
    COST_CENTER=*IF(0CURTYPE+*STR(CC_)+0COMP_CODE+0COSTCENTER = *STR(10CC_)+0COMP_CODE THEN *STR(CC_NONE); 0CURTYPE=10 THEN *STR(CC_)+0COMP_CODE+0COSTCENTER)

  • Required help for Identifying diff. items in file content conversion.

    Hi All,
    I've to use a file content conversion parameters for a .txt file in which there are two objects. One is a header and the other is a item detail.
    How do we get or mark the difference between both so that XI recognizes the particular line is a Header and the other is a Item detail
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Sree.

    Hi
    Make use of a field which is common to header and item line which will always hold different values for header and item. Or otherwise if possible, add an extra field in the header and item lines, say 'Key' and use it in the 'Key Field Name' parameter in the adapter configuration. See this for details - [File Content Conversion for Complex Structures|http://www.riyaz.net/blog/index.php/2008/02/20/xipi-file-content-conversion-for-complex-structures/].

    Hi.
    Try this.
    First you need to use a message mapping  and create a target structure to convert a similar output  structure that do you want.  like this
    <Target>
    --  Field1
    --  Field2
    --  Field3
    --  Field4
    --  Field5
    --  Field6
    --  Field7
    --  Field8
    --  Field9
    </Target>.
    Then map
    keyfield1-> Field 1 ,keyfield2-> Field 2 , keyfield 3---> Field 3
    map  field1-> field4 .. for the others fields duplicate the Target node (right click)  and  map map  field2-> field5 ..etc.
    For the field 5 until field 9 map with constant ("'')
    Then in you receiver comunication channel put simple parameters.
    Target.fieldSeparator = |
    Target.endSeparator = 'nl'

  • File content conversion using the Meaasge Transform bean

    What are content conversion parameters required
    venkat

    Sedamkar,
    In file content conversion you give these parameters;
    Header.fieldSeparator:|
    Header.endSeparator:'nl'
    DetailRecord.fieldSeparator:|
    DetailRecord.endSeparator:'nl'
    TrailerRecord.fieldSeparator:|
    TrailerRecord.endSeparator:'nl'
    In recordset structure you give as:Header,1,DetailRecord,*,TrailerRecord,1

  • Issue with the /CPMB/EXPORT_TD_TO_FILE transformation file.

    Good evening to all,
    We have to export data from a cube to a text file. To do this we have create in the BPC (NW 7.5 SP 09) a package with the process chain /CPMB/EXPORT_TD_TO_FILE but when we execute the package, we get an error. We think that the error is generated by the transformation file. In the chainu2019s log we can see that the process didnu2019t finish successful, the Appl Source and the clear BPC tables variants are in red and we get this error u201CJob or process BPCAPPS waiting for eventu201D.
    Can anybody help us?
    our transformation file is like this:
    *OPTIONS
    FORMAT = DELIMITED
    HEADER = YES
    DELIMITER = ,
    AMOUNTDECIMALPOINT = .
    SKIP = 0
    SKIPIF =
    VALIDATERECORDS=YES
    CREDITPOSITIVE=YES
    MAXREJECTCOUNT=
    ROUNDAMOUNT=
    *MAPPING

    DIMENSION_2=/CPMB/NAMEDIMENSION_2

    DIMENSION_4=/CPMB/NAMEDIMENSION_4
    DIMENSION_5=/CPMB/NAMEDIMENSION_5

    Is this the proper use of the TF in this case?

    Hi. Thanks for the reply.
    We still working on the issue. For a test we run the package without TF but we get the same error. We can find out the variant BPC Appl Source(APPL_TD_SOURCE) is the variant that generates the issue.
    When we ran the package the package didn't finish and it get the status get the status active but when we ran the package in an other application the package ends with an error.
    The variant log error was:
    RSPROCESS 4ENFI7BF1OI7M7E5GKHXIT5IL is unknown
    Here is the log in english.
