Transient VO error when app module pooling shut off

Hi,
I am using JDev 10.1.3.3.0 to build an application with ADFBC and JSF.
I am trying to test the application with the app module pooling turned off.
There is one failure I am trying to focus on an solve. What I am trying to is to populate Transient VO xyz, navigate to a dialog page using dialog: where the contents of xyz should be displayed in an af:table.
When AM Pooling is turned on, I see the data.
When AM Pooling is turned off, I have the right number of rows in the table, but I every table cell contains no data. Its like the binding layer does not restore.
Could someone explain why this is the case?

It happens to me almost every time but if you hold the power/sleep button and the home button for about 10 seconds to do a hard reset it usually works for me. I have an iPod touch 4G with ios6.

See if this fixes things.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

App Module Pooling and Failover

I have a LOCAL web application with a number of separate tasks (App Module A, B and C). The user logs on using JAAS and I want to store a session scope object representing the 'Company' to which that user belongs for later access by App Module A, B and C.
As I understand it (probably wrong), I should NOT store the 'Company' on the HTTP session state in order to maintain failover provided by the framework.
If this is the case where would 'Company' reside. Would obtaining the 'Company' at the start of each App Module (A, B and C) and setting it as a transient attribute be the correct technique ?

If pooling is turned off, each request to the server is passivated (normally into the db) and reload from there for the next request. This take time, especially if this is done for hundreds of users.
As John said this solution is not solution, you are just pushing the error to a later point of time when your users complain about a crawling system. You may get other errors when you run your app without pooling, which you must fix as they mean that your app is not activation/passivation save.

Error message in Module Pool program

Hi folks,
           I have developed a module pool program for a custom screen. while entering data on the screen,
it throws a error message for a wrong data entry.But, even after cliking enter, the error message coming repeatedly and the screen is disabled.I havent inculded the screen fields in between CHAIN-ENDCHAIN.Is this the reason for the bug. If so, i have approximately 50 fields on my screen.Should i keep all those fields in between CHAIN-ENDCHAIN. Pls suggest me...

Error handling in module pool program

hi,
in module pool program after enabling a field if the user enters an invalid value iam giving a error message.
message 'something' type 's' display like 'E'.
then again it should go to the previous screen where the user enters the value for that enabled filed.
can u guys share some ideas.

if it is a ascreen field use the below syntax
Field <fieldname> module <module_validate>.
in the module validate write the validation and throw error message ,the screen will be in error position
if the field is in Table control
Loop at <table control>.
   chain.
      field <fieldnamemodule <module_validate>.

Is there a user exit called when a module pool program is launch ?

Hello,
I know the exit 'EXIT_SAPLSABE_010' and it's very usefull for adding code before a report is launch.
But this exit is not called when a program is a "Module pool" type.
Is there a way to add my own code before this kind of program is launch ?

No it's not for initializing values. It's for logging statistics into a specific table (program name, date ...).
The event "load-of-program" can be use for one program, it's not what I'm looking for.
I would like to know if there is an exit that is called each time a module pool program is executed.

Thanks for the reply...The issue was resolved by dispaying information message and using EXIT to stop program flow.

While shopping through my iTunes app my iPad shuts off, my ideas why and how I can fix it?

When I shop using the iTunes app for movies,tv shows etc... My iPad just inexplicably shuts off. Any ideas why or how I can stop this from happening?

Quit iTunes.
Use Disk Utility and select the drive if you can, then select Erase and the middle or security option zero all data option (will delete all data of course).
When that's finished, use iTunes to restore it.
That's how I fixed mine. Make sure it's charged up first, the Mac ports sometimes cut the power off.

No warning when on reserve power, shuts off data lost

Hi There:
I would like to know if there is a problem with my Macbook and if it may need service. I am often working on a presentation and don't check my battery life, after I deplete it, it doesn't tell me that it is about to run on reserve battery power. Instead it just quits and whatever I was doing was lost.
Before, my computer would bring up a little message that said that I was about to run on reserve power and that I better connect otherwise it will shut off. When this happened I was able to connect it, restart (if it had shut of on me) and the screen I had when it shut down on me was there just as I had left it. Can anyone tell me if my Macbook needs service? Or is this a setting I am missing in prefs.

Check and see if you have battery update 1.3 installed.
MacBook/Library/System/Library/SystemConfiguration/BatteryUpdater.bundle
Leopard installs it. It is the MacBook Pro update.
If it is 1.3 drag it to the trash and then reboot. After you reboot you will be able to emtpy the trash. Once you have done that run software update and it should install Battery Update 1.2. You should also reset the SMC (System Management Controller).

Handling Error message in Module Pool screen

Hi Folks,
I have developed a ALV report for table maintenace and I am calling the Dialog screen (small one) and Create and update the records of the Ztable through that screen.
Presently I am handling the error message in the main ALV screen .
My requirement is that I have to handle those error messages in small module screen.
How to do the same ?

The creative cloud app on my mac osx will not load the apps page, therefor I can not download any products. I have tried to re-install the creative cloud app, but it still won't work.

both JSPs use an application module of the same type.
I thought that each JSP would get a different instance of the application module from the pool.
However, it seems that they get the same Instance.
This is very annoying as my application module maintains a kind of internal state, which makes concurrent use of the same instance very "risky" at best.
The appModule is currently used as "local" but in the end it will be deployed to JSErver or iAs.
Is there any known workaround?
BTW: i use Jdev 3.1 and 8.1.6.
