Translation table in PI

Hi Guys,
I am working on IDOC to file sceanrio where in i am getting value for ORDER TYPE from SAP which they dont want to use directly at the target and hence they would generate a new ORDER TYPE  by combining a REASON CODE value and thereby generates a new value for ORDER TYPE at target.
Ex:  ZPTO(SAP ORDER TYPE)  + ZS7( REASON CODE) == S99( TARGET ORDER TYPE).
i have been given a table with set of values like above.
How do i implement this in PI?.Need your valuable inputs.
Reply is very much appreciated.
Sahil

Hi Sahil.
You can concatenate 2 inputs after you compare the result with the FixValue function. What do you think?
Ex.:
  Concatenate ZPTO(SAP ORDER TYPE) + ZS7( REASON CODE) == ZPTOZS7
                       ZPTO(SAP ORDER TYPE) + ZS8( REASON CODE) == ZPTOZS8
After in the FixValue:
         ZPTOZS7 -
>  S99( TARGET ORDER TYPE).
         ZPTOZS8 -
> S00( TARGET ORDER TYPE).
The result will be S99 .
I hope that this example helps you.
Best Regads.

  • Translation table for Program name/screen number for ECC 6.0

    Hello Experts,
    Do you know if there is a translation table and/or document that would list the Program Name / Screen Number for the transactions in SAP 5.0 and the equivalent Program Name / Screen Number for those same transactions in SAP 6.0?
    The reason that I ask is that we our encountering errors within the TxShuttle macros we are testing that are telling us that the current screen name listed in the macro in no longer valid in the 6.0 environment.
    Regards,
    Atul

    I thnk we dont have any such program .Try searching for a SAP Note if its a standard program.
    Can u tell me the program name and screen number which is not available in ur system.

  • LSMW automatically update 1:1 translation table

    In LSMW, under the 1:1 translation table... control data tab.  I noticed there was a checkbox called "1:1 Translation Table Added to Automatically".  If this checkbox is checked, is there a program that can be executed to automatically upload a file from the R/3 application server to update the 1:1 translation table in the background?

    Hi.
    I have a table :
    PAYMENT_PERIOD
    ID char(10()
    DUE_DATE date
    VALID Char(1)
    In above table ID is customer's ID, DUE_DATE field contains date greater than Current Date and VALID field can contain either 'V' or 'I'. Initially when I insert row in table VALID is V and DUE_DATE is any date greater than Current Date.
    My Problem is
    When Due_Date becomes less than Current Date then VALID field should be automatically updated by 'I'.
    How can I do that?
    Thanks.Use a TRIGGER or even better have a custom Transaction-API to do the job.And what event causes said trigger to fire?
    From what we know so far, the only thing that makes the row "invalid" is the passing of time and the relation of DUE_DATE to SYSDATE. As John said, don't store VALID at all, just calculate it when needed.

  • Translation table syntax error

    While trying to install oracle 815se on
    Red Hat 6.1, the ./runInst.sh script
    barfs copiously like this:
    Warning: translation table syntax error: Unknown keysym name: osfCancel
    Warning: ... found while parsing ':<Key>osfCancel: ManagerParentCancel()'
    Warning: translation table syntax error: Unknown keysym name: osfSelect
    Warning: ... found while parsing ':<Key>osfSelect: ManagerGadgetSelect()'
    SIGSEGV 11* segmentation violation
    stackbase=0xbffff600, stackpointer=0xbffff228
    and then the installer just dies - I never even get to see a window: Anyone have any idea what might be causing this? It seems
    vaguely AWT related, but I'm far from an expert on java...

    Well, I finally figured it out:
    the 815 installer needs files from the Xfree86 rpm to be installed, otherwise it falls over, so even on a headless server, you have to install X. [and not just the clients]
    The actual command I had to issue was:
    rpm --force -i XFree86-3.3.5-3.i386.rpm
    Because rpm was complaining about locale.alias clashing with files from the glibc-2.1 package.

  • Translate table field from German to English? Info on SCI generated table?

    I need to translate the desc field of SLIN_DESC table. I am using 'select' statement to pull 'DESC' field. The data is stored in German. How do i translate it to English before i display the data? Or is there any other table which contains the description when SCI generates error/warning report. Basically i need to display error/warning description generated by SCI when it is executed. Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Nahman

    Hello Nahman
    This table appears to be a special one. When I call SE16 (logon language = EN) I see the German code descriptions like you did.
    If you look at package SLIN you will find class <b>CL_SLIN_TEST_INFO</b> which has a static method <b>DESC_GET_DESCRIPTION</b>. When I call this method for code='0000' I get the English text (<i>Program contains syntax errors</i>).

    Hi Nahman,
    I think you need to have values for german in your table to get the greman content.
    But you can have an option to change repository text for a table using transaction code SE63.
    For this Click on Translation->Repository texts.
    It will display list of reposotiy text that you can do translation.

  • Less than symbol,   shows as XML value &lt ; in translate table drop down

    We are upgrading from 8.19 to 8.49. We have set up a field that has translate values of <, <=, >, >=, <> and =. We use this field as a drop down on a page and they should display as shown. For some reason, when you click the drop down, any of the choices containing the < symbol are replaced with '&lt ;. The other symbols seem to display normally. Instead of < we get "&lt ;" . Instead of <=, we get "&lt ;=" .
    Expected values in XLATITEM drop down:

    =In version 8.22, the symbols showed up correctly. Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks very much!

    Yes - we tried deleting all of the values and recreating them. If we delete the < symbol, the rest show up fine, which is strange. We've cleared cache on web server, app server and pc and that didn't help either. Any other thoughts?
    I appreciate your help!

  • Translation Builder Tables Not Found

    I want to use translation builder for application development in Urdu Language. But when I start a new translation project...it generates error 'uable to insert project', 'translation tables not found'.
    Can any one tell its sollution?

    The error means that you have not run the sql script that creates the OTB tables in your database.
    To work with OTB you need to create a repository in your translation database. The translation database, which can be local or remote, holds information about the relationships between translation projects, modules and versions.
    To create the OTB repository run the script called sqlbld.sql (located in a subdirectory of the Oracle Forms Home) connected as SYSTEM.

  • Help understaning NAT table for SIP

    Hi Folks,
    I've been battling SIP and NAT for nearly 3 months now   I've got to the point where I think I may well have found a bug in IOS.  Incoming calls are not getting to my CME, outbound calls are fine.  The sip-ua is registered fine.
    2611xm-1#show sip-ua register status
    Line                              peer        expires(sec)  registered
    ================================  ==========  ============  ==========
    01xxxxx8882                       -1          86            yes
    Without a static route, the NAT translation table on the 877 that connects to the internet looks like this:
    877va-1#show ip nat translations
    Pro Inside global      Inside local       Outside local      Outside global
    udp 82.70.85.118:1024  192.168.1.254:5060 212.23.7.228:5060  212.23.7.228:5060
    No incoming calls come through, but looking at the table, I understand why as the ITSP is routing calls to ports 5060, not 1024.
    With this static route:
    ip nat inside source static udp 192.168.1.254 5060 82.70.85.118 5060 extendable
    The table looks like this:
    877va-1#show ip nat translations
    Pro Inside global      Inside local       Outside local      Outside global
    udp 82.70.85.118:5060  192.168.1.254:5060 212.23.7.228:5060  212.23.7.228:5060
    udp 82.70.85.118:5060  192.168.1.254:5060 ---                ---
    Incoming calls come through, which makes sense as the port is now open!
    If I delete the static route, clear the translation table and re-register the sip-ua the table looks like this:
    877va-1#show ip nat translations
    Pro Inside global      Inside local       Outside local      Outside global
    udp 82.70.85.118:5060  192.168.1.254:5060 212.23.7.228:5060  212.23.7.228:5060
    Calls come through for around 12 hours (probably until something times out and the sip-ua re-registers to the first scenario on port 1024).
    Why is the 877 setting up the translation to port 1024 - what can I do to fix this?
    My 877 settings are:
    no ip nat service sip udp port 5060
    ip nat inside source list 1 interface Dialer1 overload
    ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 Dialer1
    ip route 192.168.2.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.254
    My CME SIP settings are:
    sip-ua
    credentials username 01xxxxx8882 password xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx realm voip.zen.co.uk
    authentication username 01xxxxx8882 password 7 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    nat symmetric role active
    nat symmetric check-media-src
    retry invite 3
    retry register 10
    timers register 150
    registrar dns:voip.zen.co.uk expires 120
    sip-server dns:voip.zen.co.uk
    connection-reuse
      host-registrar
    permit hostname dns:voip.zen.co.uk
    permit hostname dns:asterisk01.voip.zen.co.uk
    permit hostname dns:asterisk02.voip.zen.co.uk

    Thanks fo thre reply Daniele.
    IOS is 15.3(3)M, but I've updated this today from an ealier version hoping to fix the problem.
    If I do the following:
    877va-1#show ip nat translations | include 5060
    udp 82.70.85.118:1029  192.168.1.254:5060 212.23.7.228:5060  212.23.7.228:5060
    877va-1#clear ip nat trans
    877va-1#clear ip nat translation *
    877va-1#clear ip nat statistics
    Then on the CME box, re-register the sip-ua.
    877va-1#show ip nat translations | include 5060
    udp 82.70.85.118:1030  192.168.1.254:5060 212.23.7.228:5060  212.23.7.228:5060
    It takes the next port.  Its never using 5060 in the first place from what I can tell

  • How to develop Framework Extension for join two tables

    Dear developers,
    My project contains more than 200 maintenance tables.
    Maintenance tables are very small and less than 100 lines.
    Maintenance tables mostly associated with a translation table.
    Translation tables are used for localized texts.
    Translation tables consists of Master Table Key + LanguageKey.
    I want to edit customizing tables only session language as single table.
    Translation table row may or may not be. Thats mean relationship is 1 to 0..1.
    ADF table control ignore this relationship.
    I tried view link between master view and detail view objects, but if translation table line is empty ADF table control throws translation iterator is null exception.
    I tried entity based left joined editable view I get view link inconsisty problem.

  • How to use a MAP whithout join table

    Hello
    I am still evaluating KODO ;-)
    I am using kodo 3.1.2 with an evaluation version
    linux (kernel 2.6)
    SUN JDK 1.4.2_04
    MYSQL MAX 4.0.18 -Max
    IDEA 4.0.3 and ANT 1.5.4 (to be exhaustive)
    I am wondering how to configure the following mapping involving a Map. :
    public class Translation {
    private String locale;
    private String txt;
    public class TranslatableDescription {
    /**Map of Key=locale as String; Value = {@link Translation}*/
    ==> private Map translations = new HashMap(); <==
    public void addATranslation(Translation t){
    translations.put(t.getLocale(), t);

    <extension vendor-name="kodo" key="jdbc-key-size" value="10"/>
    </field>
    </class>
    </package>
    </jdo>

    fine, but I would like to remove this table by adding a
    colonne in the "TRANSLATION" table containing the JDOID of the

    ref-column.JDOID="OWNERJDOID" table="TRANSLATION0"

    "TRANSLATION0" for the TRANSLATION and the MAP.
    So, is this kind of mapping supported by KODO and if yes, how can I

    Thank you for your help

    So, is this kind of mapping supported by KODO and if yes, how can I
    configure it.It is not directly supported. You can fake it using a one-many mapping
    (see thread: Externalizing Map to Collection of PC), but unless you must
    map to an existing schema, it's probably not worth the effort. (Note:
    also there is a bug that actually prevents this from working with 3.1.2;
    the bug is fixed for 3.1.3, but it hasn't been released yet).

  • What table column size is needed to accomodate Unicode characters

    Hi guys,
    I have encounter something which i dont understand and i hope gurus here will shed some light on me.
    I am running a non-unicode database and i decided to port the data over to a unicode database.
    So
    1) i export the schema out --> data.dmp
    2) then i create the unicode database + create a user
    3) then i import the schema into the database
    during the imp i can see that character conversion will take place.
    During importing of data into the unicode database
    I encounter some error
    saying column size is too small
    so i went to check the row that has the column value that is too large to fit in the table.
    I realise it has some [][][][] data.. so i went to the live non-unicode database and find the row. Indeed it has some [][][][] rubbish data which i feel that someone has inserted other language then english into the database.
    But regardless,
    I went to modify the column size to a larger size, now the row can be accommodated. However the data is still [][][].
    q1) why so ? since now my database is unicode, during the import, this column data [][][] should be converted to unicode already but i still have problem seeing what language it is.
    q2) why at the non-unicode database, the [][][] data can fit into the table column size, but on unicode database, the same table column size need to be increase ?
    q3) while doing more research on unicode, it was said that unicode character takes up 2 byte per character. Alot of my table data are exactly the same size of the table column size.
    E.g Name VARCHAR2(5);
    value - 'Peter'
    Now if converting to unicode, characters will take 2byte instead of 1, isnt 'PETER' going to take up 10byte ( 2 byte per character ),
    why is it that i can still accomodate the data into the table column ?
    q4) now with unicode database up, i will be supporting different language characters around the world. How big should i set my column size to ? the longest a name can get ? or ?
    Thanks guys!

    /// does oracle automatically "look" at the each and individual characters in a word and determine how much byte it should take.
    Characters usually originate from a keyboard, which has an associated keyboard layout and an associated character set encoding (a.k.a code page, a.k.a. encoding). This means, the keyboard driver knows that when a key with a letter "á" on it is pressed on a French keyboard, and the associated character set encoding is MS Code Page 1252 (Oracle name WE8MSWIN1252), then one byte with the value 225 is generated. If the associated character set encoding is UTF-16LE (standard internal Windows encoding), two bytes 225 and 0 are generated. When the generated bytes travel through APIs, they may undergo character set conversions from one encoding to another encoding. The conversion algorithms use translation tables to find out how to translate given byte sequence from one encoding to another encoding. In case of translation from WE8MSWIN1252 to AL32UTF8, Oracle will know that the byte sequence resulting from conversion of the code 225 should be 195 followed by 161. For a Chinese characters, for example when converting it from ZHS16GBK, Oracle knows the resulting sequence as well, and this sequence is usually 3 bytes.
    This is how AL32UTF8 data gets into a database. Now, when Oracle processes a multibyte string, and needs to look at individual characters, for example to count them with LENGTH, or take a substring with SUBSTR, it uses information it has about the structure of the character set. Multibyte character sets are of two type: fixed-width and variable-width. Currently, Oracle supports only one fixed-width multibyte character set in the database: AL16UTF16, which is Oracle's name for Unicode UTF-16BE encoding. It supports this character set for NCHAR/NVARCHAR2/NCLOB data types only. This character set uses two bytes per each character code. To find the next code, 2 is simply added to the string pointer.
    All other Oracle multibyte character sets are variable-width character sets, including AL32UTF8. In most cases, the length of each character code can be determined by looking at its first byte. In AL32UTF8, the number of 1-bits in the most significant positions in the first byte before the first 0-bit tells how many bytes a character has. 0 such bits means 1 byte (such codes are identical to 7-bit ASCII), 2 such bits mean two bytes, 3 bits mean 3 bytes, 4 bits mean four bytes. 1 bit (e.g. the bit sequence 10) starts each second, third or fourth byte of a code.
    In other ASCII-based multibyte character sets, the number of bytes is usually determined by the value range of the first byte. Bytes below 128 means a one-byte code, bytes above 128 begin a two- or three-byte sequence, depending on the range.
    There are also EBCDIC-based (mainframe) multibyte character sets, a.k.a shift-sensitive character sets, where a sequence of two-byte codes is introduced by inserting the SO character (code 14=0x0e) and ended by inserting the SI character (code 15=0x0f). There are also character sets, like ISO-2022-JP, which use more complicated byte sequences to define the length and meaning of byte sequences but Oracle supports them only in limited number of places.
    /// e.g i have a word with 4 character. the 3rd character will be a chinese character..the rest are ascii character
    /// will oracle use 4 byte per character regardless its ascii(english) or chinese
    No.
