Translations for Standard Menu items/Buttons

Hi,
I am trying to change the translations for standard menu items/buttons. I tried to do it from SE41. However it is asking for access key.
I wanted to know, is there any other way of doing translations, without this access key.
Can you pelase give some inputs?
Thanks,
Sandeep

Hello,
Standard menu item, buttons will automatically translated. Why you want to translate?
If it is Z Transaction then Go to SE51 give the program name & screen no . Translate it.
Thanks,
Abhijit

  • Adding A Separate Background Image For Each Menu Item

I asked this in the Spry forum, and not sure I understand the answer. Plus, I should have been more specific in asking how to do it, as I'm still pretty new to this stuff. Nothing I'd found indicated it could be done, or how.
    Org question -
I know you can apply a background image to the menu bar items, but is it possible to add a background image for each individual item? What I'm basically trying to keep are the effects (bevel/emboss, etc.,) that I attached to the text, when I created it in PS CS4.
    Answer -
Yes you can. The widget is just normal plain html markup so you can just add other classNames or id attributes to the elements. And style the elements through those classes/ids.
Does this mean I'd have to write a new rule for each menu item? What?
    Thank you.

Did an Adobe Tutorial for creating/entering a Spry Menu Bar. This is the HTML, after I took out the submenus.
    <ul id="MenuBar1" class="MenuBarHorizontal">
          <li><a href="news.html">Features</a></li>
          <li><a href="news.html">News</a></li>

  • Translation for Standard BAPI error messages

    Hi All,
We are calling a standard BAPI in our report program. This BAPI has return table of type BAPIRET2.
When i logon in Spanish Language, still the BAPI returns error messages in English.
Any pointers to get the messages from Standard BAPI's in Logon language.
    Thanks,
    Best regards,
    Prashant

    Hi,
Since these messages are Standard SAP  Messages, i assume that SAP would maintain the translations for them.
If i go to message class & check translations for these standard messages, i dont see the translations.
Are we expected to manually maintain translations for Standard SAP Messages ?
I feel SAP would be providing translations for Standard SAP message.
    Best regards,

  • CO02-desabling Menu item/ button

    Hello SAP Gurus,
Is it possible to disable a menu item or a button in standard
    tansaction.
For example in CO02 ( Production Order Change ) I want to hide or
disable the function 'Delete item' in component overview (production
    order BOM).
It is available as a button as well as a menu item.
Is there any way of hiding/ disabling it from some users?.
I can not use Variant using SHD0 , as it leads to operational problem during the Drill-Down working .
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi,
Try with the following User Exit.
CCOWB001 - Customer exit for modifying menu entries (EXIT_SAPLCOWB_001)
    Or
Use Enhancement Spot (Implicit and Explicit Enhancements).

  • How to activate programatically inserted standard menu items in zScale context menu?

    Hi,
I want to have a different context menu for an intensity graph and its Z scale. This work fine if the standard menu is keept but problems appears as soon as the context menu is customized.
If the context menu of an intensity graph is customized, this menu is taken also for its Z scale. I work around this feature, and programmatically modifiy the context menu when user click on Z scale. So far so good. BUT I introduce for this programmatically customized context menu some standard items such as APP_SC_ADD_MARKER, and when user select those standard items, nothing appends. I mean, that the item is readed, but in that example no marker is added on the Z scale from the run time engine. Where is my error?
Please find the test VI enclosed.
    Thank you for tips!

    Hi aleveque,
once you modify the run-time menu, you have to handle the events in your program:
    From the LabVIEW Help:
"After you customize a run-time shortcut menu statically or programmatically, you must configure an Event structure to handle each menu item in the custom menu."

  • Keyboard shortcut for Sub Menu item Only works AFTER using it

I have a Custom MOVE TO READ Mailbox shortcut. This is a SUB Menu item.. MESSAGE/Move To/READ FOLDER.
It is really sweet to clear out my INBOX and save emails.
So, what is ODD is that that menu has to be Clicked on and shown each time MAIL is run for that keyboard shortcut to work.
I find that Odd and would love to have it work without having to "train" it everyday.

  • Presence Property for standard Email Submit Button

    Hi All,
Is it possible to hide the presence of the standard Email Submit Button in Livecycle Designer?
Example: User cannot access EmailSubmitButton1 until a valid date has been entered in to DateTime1 field.
I have tried the presence property, with both a change event and exit event with no luck. I am assuming that since the standard Email Submit Button does not have a "click" event available, this task cannot be accomplished.
    Any assistance is welcome

    Hi Paul,
You were correct, the mistake was on my part. I replaced the Button1 value in the script with the correct value "SubmitButton1".
    Thanks again for your assistance.

  • Problem in translations for standard screen...

    Hello All,
I got the access key for a standard screen and have added an item to the menu bar of the standard GUI status. Now I want to translate the same into different languages. But when I tried the same by clicking GO TO , the translation option has been disabled. How to acheive this?
Any pointers to this are highly appreciated..
    Thanks & regards,

    Hello Prakash,
Please try going to SE63. Give your program name there, select the language to be translated to. And translate it.

  • Menu items button in android tablet application not displayed

I used to build my tablet air applications with flex sdk 4.5.
I test it mainly on Galaxy Tab .
When i upgraded to 4.6 sdk, I noticed that the system bar didn't displayed buttons anymore. it is completly empty.
and  viewMenuItems didn't work anymore, too.
is someone noticed  the same problem?
Could it be a air runtime bug?
I'd like to keep on working with sdk 4.6 for softkeyboard capabilities; please help me. Is there a solution?

Hello, I am also having the same problem.
Did you figure out any workaround.
would you please share with me.

  • Advanced Actions used for Menu - Takes 3 menu items for 1 to work? Advanced Actions Help

Alright, here's my next struggle! I have a bit of a strange course I'm putting together that has required a unique approach (at least for me). Basically I'm having learners learn about 10 different reports they can run with a tool they have, and I have a menu (see below) on a slide to allow them to choose to view the reports they want to see. The course is required, but they can view what reports they want as long as they see three. So, what I've done is the following:
Enabled Reporting with a score of 10 points for each Menu Item:
When a user clicks on a Menu item, it automatically, without AA registers 10 points to the quizzing. The whole course requires a score of 30/80 to pass.
Tried making a system of jumping to content and returning to Menu with a function to show an item has already been viewed:
As seen below, there is a separate column on the right. Essentially each menu item has a standard action that first has a command to jump to the slide the particular menu item content is at, and then      two, a show function for the green box to cover the grey box indicating the content has been viewed already. The slides for which the user has jumped to has a jump-to-slide on the last slide of the      content to return to this menu.
Checking for Three menu items viewed:
I have a final slide that has an On-Enter Conditional action that says if the cpinfoQuizpointsscored is = 0 then show caption A, in a separate decision, a similar action but for score of 10, and again for 20,      just so I can send them to a slide that tells them how many reports they need to view before completing.
So here's the problem: When I'm previewing this menu, clicking on a menu item the first time does nothing except bring in the green square. The second attempt on a different item does the same thing. Finally on the third Item I choose, it will jump to the slide as it should and I can return as I should be able to. So why is it taking two failed jumps to get to a jump that works? Order does not seem to play into it. And the only pause I have on the slide is at the end for the "next" button you see. Any thoughts?

What would the pause do? I'm hoping they don't go just in order. And the menu items are indeed smart shapes set to be buttons.
This is the timeline of that Menu Slide.
This is the Advanced Action example for one of the menu items. Each menu item has a similar action.
This is the conditional action that checks how many reports have been viewed.

  • Multi Line Menu Item and Button

    Dear oracle developers,
I am trying to set a multi line label for
    a button.
The label should be displayed as
    Client
    Reports rather than Client Reports
    on the screen.
I tried CHR(i) for all the 255 ascii numbers.
I get some special characters inbetween but never got a new line.
Can any one have some ideas about this. I would like to use the same feature for a menu item also.
    Thank You.

    Hi,
U can do this in the following way :
    1. Create a Icon button in your Forms canvas.
    2. create a icon file (.ico) by writing a multiline text.
    3. Attach this .ico file to the icon button in your forms.
    Hope this may help you.

  • Add menu item for Batch Sequence?

    Hello,
I've created a folder level script that will execute when Acrobat starts. The script adds a menu item, that when clicked, will call another function.
I'm wondering if I can create a batch sequence and add a menu item for that as well? I basically just want to avoid going through the whole Advanced -> Doucment Processing -> Batch processing... -> and then find the batch sequence and click Run.
I've seen plenty of examples for adding menu items that call folder level scripts, but nothing on batch sequences. Has anyone ever done this?
    Many thanks in advance!

You can't create a menu item to a specific batch sequence. The closest you
can get is to open the batch sequences window, using the execMenuItem()
method and "BatchEdit" as the name of the command (I'm not sure it's still
    the same in Acrobat X).

  • Menu item appears multiple items

I've created a menu item for the extension I'm working on; however, it is showing up 4 times in the Tools menu instead of just once. I've looked at various tutorials on the subject, but I can't seem to find what I've done incorrectly.

  • Can I call an onclick function to a menu item?

I have a feedback form that I need to get launched when the "Feedback" button in the submenu is clicked. This form is launched when i use the "onclick" function on a link like this: <a href="#" onclick="FBY.showForm('2338');return false;">Feedback</a>
I could place this code by inserting the HTML, but the problem is that that the link is in a submenu with hover effects etc. See image below: I want the feedback form to be launched when the Feedback link (marked in yellow) is clicked.
How can I achieve this? Is there no way of adding functions to links?

    Hi,
To do this you will have to use the Menu Type Manual. Then you can insert HTML using Object -> Insert HTML and drag the embedded code in the container for the menu item. Also, you will not be able to style the embedded code from within the Muse and you will have to style it through the insert HTML option only.

  • Finding which menu item has been clicked

Does oracle forms have anyway of knowing which menu item has been clicked.
I have a security structure set up where menu items are made visible depending on their name, which in turn is based on the individual forms that a particular user can access.
I would like to write a generic method for all menu items where it uses the name of the clicked menu item to perform a query, the result could be used to open a new form.
So is there a build in or some 'secret source' which tells me the name or gives me the id of a clicked menu item?

Not entirely sure what you mean, are you sugesting i have a generic method with a switch statment and uses the input paramter to decide what to do?
It's not really what i'm after, rather I already have the name of the menu item in the database, the same table also contains the module filename that clicking the button should go to.
So the idea would be somthing like
    declare
    begin
    select module name into new form from secutity table where menu item = :system.current menu item;
    open_form(new form);
    end;
:sysem.current menu item is the missing ingreadiant.
My menu has many items in the hundreds i think so even the generic switch staement would be pretty tedious and i want changes in the database to be felt system wide as they are else where in my system.
Thanks for you help and i hope this explains my question better.
    Regards,
    Gareth
