From which database table we can find program and its active transport request details?
I need to check all Z programs requests from DEV to PRD.
Thanks,

Hi,
Program for table is generated dynamically for each user ID, when ever you change the selection screen in SE16 or when you are executing the table entries for first time. Usually it starts with /1BCDWB/DB followed by table name. In your case it would be /1BCDWB/DBS070.
Go to Se16, enter your table name and click enter. Once you are in selection screen, goto Menu=>system=>Status. Here you can see the program name.
Thanks,
Vinod.

• New JNDI name created for each drag and drop of database table into table

Hi All,
I'm using Netbeans 5.5 with Visual Web Pack with Mysql as backend. Whenever I drag and drop a database table into table component it creates new JNDI (data source) name for each table. I want to use single JNDI name for all tables. If I change the JNDI name to default name then the design disappears and shows error . Is there any option to set the JNDI name unique for all tables?
Thanks in advance.

Hi again,
Well I've tried using the MouseListener / MouseMotionListener approach but it doesn't quite seem to work, although it does get the events correctly. I think the reason is that it doesn't interact correctly with the Java DnD machinery which is something that V.V hinted at. It's something that I may need to look into if / when I have more time available.
I have to say though that I haven't had any problems with scrollbars - we're making fairly heavy use of large tables and if you drag over a table with a scroll bar and move to the top or bottom then it scrolls as you would expect and allows you to drop the data where you like. For this situation I've used pretty much the same approach as for the toy example above except that I've implemented separate source and destination TransferHandlers (the source table is read-only, and it really doesn't make sense to allow people to drag from the destination table so I've essentially split the functionality of the example handler down the middle).
I'm not actually particularly in favour of messing too much with the mechanics of DnD, more because of lack of time than anything else. Guess I'll just have to put up with this for the moment. Doesn't help that DnD is so poorly documented by Sun.
Thanks for all your help.

• Help creating a relational database table

Hi,
I need help creating a relational database data. I am suppose to enter the following information in the workstation:
CREATE TABLE patient (
MedRecNo number (4),
LName varchar2 (15),
FNAME varchar2 (15),
MInitial varchar2 (1),
BDate date,
Sex varchar2 (1));
3. Query (using the syntax below) the database to ensure that you have created the table:
SELECT TABLE_NAME FROM USER_TABLES;
I entered the information in the workstation but I have no idea what to do with this command-------->SELECT TABLE_NAME FROM USER_TABLES;
Pleaaaassssse help me.
Thanks in advance,
Tanya

Thanks for responding so quickly. I'm sorry if I said
it wrong, this is completely new to me. This is what
I am suppose to do:
Directions:
1. Login to the DVOLUSER (select this from the
Connection Identifier drop down window) Oracle
instance using the username and password provided to
you.
2. Use the following SQL syntax to create the patient
table in the database:
CREATE TABLE patient (
MedRecNo number (4),
LName varchar2 (15),
FNAME varchar2 (15),
MInitial varchar2 (1),
BDate date,
Sex varchar2 (1));
3. Query (using the syntax below) the database to
ensure that you have created the table:
SELECT TABLE_NAME FROM USER_TABLES;ETA: I also do not know how to enter this into the data base. I mean I enter the following information into the database and then I click execute but once I do that, what do I do with the SELECT TABLE_NAME FROM USER_TABLES;

• Load XML data from UNIX Server Directly into Relational Database Tables

Is there a way I can load data from an XML File into Oracle Tables , without having the Input XML file in some Oracle Server Directory. My XML File resides on UNIX Application server. And I need to directly load the data into Database tables. Without loading them into the Database Directory.
Also I am looking for a solution that would not load my Database much and effect other running processes. Can it be done using SQL Loader ?
Oracle Database Version is : Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64bit Production

Thanks for your reply ,
Please would you quote an Example about : 'Load the file into that table using SQL*Loader' (From UNIX Server) Or instance of some existing thread that relates to my situation.
The Size of the File would be about 3 GB. For a similar requirement one of my peers Code which used XMLTABLE and XPATH Approach consumed a lot of resources while running and caused the other Database Applications to slow down. Thus those guys have come up with an approach to :
Parse XML using a C Code using some STRING Functions => For a CSV or Fixed width .dat file and then use SQL Loader to just load the file into Tables.
This approach is efficient in terms of Resources and Time(Takes 5 mins). But I am not confident about parsing XML based on String based C Functions.
Please comment about this approach . Also if possible Suggest the best efficient way of doing this.

• Mapping XML data to relational database tables

I'm writing an application that has two parts: the client part generates XML documents and sends them across the network to a server part, which parses the XML, maps the XML to various RDBMS tables and stores the data in the RDBMS.
I've got everything working using SAX, but now any change I make to the XML schema and/or the RDBMS table structures in the future will mean some serious code changes.
Has anyone worked with this scenario and developed a better method of handling this mapping? All the previous efforts in this area seem to be RDBMS to XML, which is of no use to me.
If you had to do this this, how would you approach it? I'm using XML for ease of reading, as the client has code to allow for documents to be written to the disk if no connection to the server is available, and the server does the same if no database connection is available.
Thanks in advance ...
cheers,
mark

OK, to reply to my own posting for future reference, I've found an open source project called Osage at http://sourceforge.net that does what I need. I'm looking at it now and can't say if it's everything I want, but it seems likely to fit the bil.
cheers,
mark

• Change the data in fieldcat and update the database table in alv oops

Hi,
my requirement is i have displayed a fieldcat in change mode and when i change the data and click on save it has to be updated the database table..
this has to be done using alv oops...

Hi,
This code will reflect all the changes into the internal table that is being displayed.
* to reflect the data changed into internal table
DATA : ref_grid TYPE REF TO cl_gui_alv_grid. "new
IF ref_grid IS INITIAL.
CALL FUNCTION 'GET_GLOBALS_FROM_SLVC_FULLSCR'
IMPORTING
e_grid = ref_grid.
ENDIF.
IF NOT ref_grid IS INITIAL.
CALL METHOD ref_grid->check_changed_data.
ENDIF.
Now after this code is executed the internal table is modified as per the changes done in alv output.
Now you can use this internal table to update the database table.
Hope this helps you.
Regards,
Tarun

• How to synchronize between OID and the Custom Database Tables ?

Hi All,
Our ADF Application is using Oracle SIngle-Sign On (OAS 10.1.4). Meanwhile we also maintain
users login within Database table to store application menu accessibility data.
i.e:
Firstly user Login using Oracle SSO, after logged in, application will query the above mentioned
database tables to determine which menu he/she has access.
We have develope a security module to input users login into the database, so I need to synchronize
the data into OID, so that that particular user can use Oracle SSO.
How is the mechanism to do that ?
Thank you very much,
xtanto

Hi,
OID providesa Java and PLSQL API. I agree with Chris that from what you describe, the PLSQL API seems to be the best approach to take as it allows you to use database triggers for the synchronization

• Date format mismatch between OIM 11gR2 GTC and backend custom database table (Oracle 11g R2)

Hi,
We have an OIM 11g R2 version running that has a GTC installed and configured. The GTC is used to provision to a 11g R2 database table via the DBAT 9.1.0.5.0 connector. Now the requirement is that the timestamp be recorded in the backend DB when a new record is provisioned to it using the GTC.
During the setup of the GTC, the target system date format is asked for should be one from among the values allowed by the following predefined formats:
Customizing Formats (The Java™ Tutorials > Internationalization > Formatting)
Now our problem is that the target DB to which the provisioning is supposed to happen, isn't under our control and hence we cannot change its schema, and the date format in that table is of the type "01-JAN-10 12.00.00.000000000 AM", which translates to "dd-MMM-yy hh.mm.ss.fffffffff (AM/PM)".
On the other hand, as you can see from the above link, none of the values that OIM allows to be passed through the GTC allow for that format to be used.
Does anyone know of any way in which we can intercept the GTC provisioning request and convert the date on the fly, after OIM has passed on the control, but before the values are written into the DB table, or does anyone know of any workarounds to this issue?
I'd really appreciate it if someone could provide a solution to this.
Thanks.

[http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E27559_01/dev.1112/e27150/refsched.htm#CIHBFCJG]
See 26.6 for the plugin.zip directory structure, and as I said, I used the same method on a previous task in the same OIM instance.
