Travel Pass covering data use on an aircraft
I've just returned from a multi-country trip through Europe. Bought a Zone 2 Travel Pass for $300 to cover this. As I entered each new country, I got a message from Telstra warning me of potential for higher charges (detailed for the specific country I was entering), but that these would not apply if I had a Travel Pass. So far so good. Surprisingly, I also received essentially the same message when I switched my phone on in the aircraft returning home to Australia (from Hungary)... " While in an Airline or Cruise Ship or Satellite Services, call charges to make and receive a call are $5.00 per min. To send an SMS costs $0.75. There is no charge to receive an SMS. To use 1MB of data costs $3.00 per MB. To receive an MMS costs $3.00 per MB or to send an MMS costs up to $0.75 + $3 per MB. If you have a Travel Pass, these charges will not apply and you will be charged 3c per MB once you exceed your data allowance, for the duration of your Pass....." Based on this, I used the phone to access mail and internet. Response time was terrible, but it did work. My first bill since travelling arrrived today....and while showing $0 for each data connection I made while on the ground in Europe, the connections made on the aircraft were billed - for a total of around $50. Called Telstra (very helpful, and the bills will be waived), but I had to read out the above message to the help desk person, as he had no knowledge of the 'in-aircraft' offering, and raised the valid point about Zones - i.e. what Zone is an aircraft? Seems as though a clarification from Telstra on their Travel Pass documentation would be useful, as would a change to their billing system to reflect what is actually on offer.
Hi Ashley, can't argue with your post, but would have to say that the information is not readily accessible. I'm happy to admit that I didn't do a great deal of detailed research before I left home...but I would contend that I shouldn't have to. (FYI I just searched... telstra travel pass "airline services"... using Google and it didn't show your info on the first two pages of hits.) However, despite this, it would seem that the 'live' message I received from Telstra when I switched my phone on once aboard the aircraft (Emirates - Dubai to Adelaide) would give me more up-to-date information than a website.Thought I'd send you the actual screen shots rather than try to edit to remove the overlap between the two shots. These messages are essentially word for word what I got each time I entered a new country while on land - with the words "Airline or Cruise Ship or Satellite Services" replaced by e.g. "United Arab Emirates" or "Germany" etc., and with the various $ values changed to reflect that country's charging situation. Hope this helps you.

WSRP - Pass Custom Data between Consumer and Producer
Hello All,
I am having a couple of queries with respect to Custom Data Transfer. Consider I have a Map of values which I need to transfer between both Consumer and Producer.
For eg: the map that Consumer sends would contain "firstName", "lastName", etc... On the other hand Producer needs to do some business function based on the data and add more values to the map like "rewardPoint" etc....
On Consumer Side:
I have choice to use Backing File or IGetMarkupInterceptor to implement the preInvoke to pass the data using SimpleStateHolder.
Question: I am not able to send a simple Serializable POJO Object... I can only send primitive / default java objects like Strings, Maps of String etc. Is my understanding correct?
On Producer side:
I am able to receive the Custom Data from request. No problems. Now how to send more data from Producer to consumer. I need to add the "rewardPoints" into the map and send back.
My understanding is that if the Producer puts any values into StateHolder objects, Consumer will receive it in IGetMarkupResponseContext object in the Interceptor's postInvoke method.
Question: How do I get a handle to the IGetMarkupResponseContext object @ Producer end???
Question: Do I need to write some interceptors on Producer end? If so which file I need to use?
Any help / pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
PazHi All,
I tried to set the data in the producer using the following command
SimpleStateHolder stateSimpleOuterReq = (SimpleStateHolder)request.getAttribute(MarkupRequestState.KEY);;
if (stateSimpleOuterReq == null) {
SimpleStateHolder state = new SimpleStateHolder();
state.addParameter("name", "data1");
request.setAttribute(MarkupResponseState.KEY, state);
I am not able to retrieve the same in consumer.
The above is a WSRP struts request.
I also tried setting the data by unwrapping the request in producer and still value is null in consumer :-(
HttpServletRequest requestq = (HttpServletRequest)((HttpServletRequestWrapper) request).getRequest();
SimpleStateHolder stateSimpleReq1 = (SimpleStateHolder)requestq.getAttribute(MarkupRequestState.KEY);
if (stateSimpleReq1 == null) {
SimpleStateHolder state = new SimpleStateHolder();
state.addParameter("name", "data1");
requestq.setAttribute(MarkupRequestState.KEY, state);
Please help me in resolving the issue. Correct me if i am doing anything wrong.
Thanks

How to pass csv data from file into DLL using TestStand
Hi,
We have data files which are of CSV format. Each row contains
about 9 items of data, and have about 5 rows of this data (ie, 5
test points) :
eg
TErrAdd1,UUT,UUT,STM1E,AU4/FR,PRBS23,BIT,10,60
TErrAdd2,UUT,UUT,STM4O,AU3/UNFR,PRBS15,B1,20,60
TErrAdd3,UUT,UUT,STM16O,AU4_16C/UNFR,PRBS9,BIT,7,60
TErrAdd4,UUT,UUT,STM0E,AU3/UNFR,PRBS20,B2,5,60
TErrAdd5,UUT,UUT,STM64O,AU4_4C/FR,PRBS11,B1,6,60
What we want to do is to be able to directly pass each
row of data to a C/C++ DLL. The DLL fn accepts this
data as a vector of strings.
eg.
void DLLTestFn( vector const & configData )
However, we can write a wrapper for the DLL as I don't
think TestStand will know about vectors.
We don't really want to have to hardcode individial references
to each item of data in TestStand. Is this possible?
Just read in a row from a data file, and sent it direct
to the DLL?Hi Richardi,
the principle is quite simple, however, you still need to use a programming language to make the initial file read.
Once you've done this, you could have it as an array of strings, and pass this directly to a wrapper DLL, which would then pass the data into a string vector.
Look up the examples\AccessingArrays\PassingArrayParametersToDll\AccessingArrays.seq
to see how to do this without passing the sequence context.
If you've read in the details into a container type structure already, then I've made an example which demonstrates this principle and what you'll need to pass it to a vector. (Similar principle can be used to fill in the container when you read the file in the first place.
You cannot go directly to a vector, since TestStand doesn't understand them.
Vector classes are difficult to export polymorphically from a DLL since the template class doesn't export, and needs specifically defining. This is what I'm assuming you're ultimately trying to do. (see ref :
How to Export STL components inside and outside of a class
I've used VIsual C++ 6 and TestStand 3.0
Please let me know if this helps to answer your query.

Passing XMLType Data into oracle stored procedure using JDBC
Hi Friends,
I have requirement where my oracle stored procedure accepts XML file as an input. This XML File is generated in runtime using java, I need to pass that xml file using JDBC to oracle stored procedure. Please let me know the fesibile solution for this problem.
Following are the environment details
JDK Version: 1.6
Oracle: 10g
Server: Tomcat 6.x

A 'file' is a file system entity. There is no way to pass a 'file' anywhere. Not PL/SQL. Not java.
Now you can pass a file path (a string) in java and to PL/SQL.
Or you can pass xml data (a string) in java and to PL/SQL. For PL/SQL you could use eithe a varchar2, if the xml is rather small, or a blob/clob. -
Passing the date to a text field using DateChooser
How can I pass the date that someone selects to a text field
in Flash.
AND then how can I pass the date that someone selects to a
text field in Director using the same component?
"selectedDate()" isn't working, plus I get "undefined" when I
trace that...> Do you know why if I select the same date twice I get a
"property not
> found"
> error ---- #selectedDate?
Think you have to use on change(me) instead of mouseUp.
To use that with the flashobject, you need to intialize the
object once, eg
in enterframe.
Try the following - look out for linebreaks.
property pSprite
property pInit
property pEvent
on beginSprite(me)
pSprite = sprite(me.spriteNum)
pInit = false
pEvent = 0
end
on enterFrame(me)
if not(pInit) then
pEvent = pSprite.newObject("MyDateChooser")
pSprite.setCallBack(pEvent, "change", #change, me)
pInit = true
end if
end
on change(me)
y = integer(sprite(1).selectedDate.getYear()) + 1900
d = integer(sprite(1).selectedDate.getDate())
m = integer(sprite(1).selectedDate.getMonth())+1
member("chosenDate").text = d & "-" & m & "-"
& y
end
on endSprite(me)
pEvent = 0

Pass/retrieve data to PDF form using php
Hi
We are trying to build an application that goes like this.
Web based application. Document template is uploaded. User can open the template, fill in data, and save the form. PHP , Mysql
We are stuck at the stage where we need to pass some data via php into the form and then extract the filled in data from the form via php.
Does anyone have a solution to this.
Thanks

zhhealthcareTry googling "iText".
iText is JAVA based, and is capable of creating and manipulating FDF data.
For a Microsoft .net version, check out "iTextSharp", or "FDFToolkit.net"

Not able pass the data from component to other component.
Hello All
I am not able pass the data from component to other component.
I have done like this.
1 Main Component (Parent component ) having below two child components.Embeded as used components.
2) Search Component and Details Component
3) In the Search Component having buttons, Say : Button u201CXu201D on click of button I am navigating to Details component view through FPM.
4) When I am clicking above button u201CXu201D raising the event to call the parent business logic method, there I am getting Structure with values and binded this structure to the node and Mapped this node to the Details component interface node. FYI : I kept the debugging point Structure is having data , I had set static attributes table to node instance.
5) In the Details component node data is not coming mean empty.
Thanks in Advance.

Edited by: CarlinWilliams on Jul 4, 2011 9:21 AMHi,
When you use input Ext. check that the parent component should not be used as used component in child component.
Only in the parent component the child components should be used as used components and the usage has to be created for the
Child Components and the binding of the Node should be done from comp. controller of parent component to child node
by which you will be able to see double arrow against the node.This should work

How to pass a date parameter from report builder query designer to oracle database
i'm using report builder 3.0 connected to oracle database. i'm trying to pass a date parameter in the query with no success, i don't
know the exact syntax. I've tried :
SELECT * FROM igeneral.GCL_CLAIMS where CREATED_BY IN (:CREATED_BY) AND CLAIM_YEAR IN(:UW_YEAR) AND (LOSS_DATE) >To_Date('01/01/2014','mm/dd/yyyy')
it worked perfectly.
However if i try to put a date parameter "From" instead of 01/01/2014 it will not work, a Define Query Parameter popup window appear and error occurred after i fill
the values (usually i shouldnt get this popup i should enter the value when i run the report)
SELECT * FROM igeneral.GCL_CLAIMS where CREATED_BY IN (:CREATED_BY) AND CLAIM_YEAR IN(:UW_YEAR) AND (LOSS_DATE) >To_Date(:From,'mm/dd/yyyy')
appreciate your assistanceHi Gorgo,
According to your description, you have problem when in passing a parameter for running a Oracle Query. Right?
Based on my knowledge, it use "&" as synax for parameter in Oracle, like we use "@" in SQL Server. In this scenario, maybe you can try '01/01/2014' when inputing in "From". We are not sure if there's any limitation for To_Date()
function. For your self-testing, you can try the query in sqlplus/sql delveloper. Since your issue is related to Oracle query, we suggest you post this thread onto Oracle forum.

How do you pass the data from a SBO process to a crystal report laout
Hi Everyone
Can someone please assist or direct me to documentation that could be of help.
I do production orders in SBO.
I have a crystal report that I have imported as a layout to print these production orders.
The report was developed the normal way, linking to the tables and returning data(all data for all production orders ever done)
The production print option is set to make use of this layout.
What I would like to see is that when I create production order 12345 and click on print preview I get the data of the mentioned order only displayed in my crystal layout(that is set to default)
What I get however is all the data from the tables.
Where am I going wrong. With my design already or is there a different way to pass the data to my report/layout direct from my SBO production order screen
This is quite urgen
Regards
BurgerHi All
The solution i was looking for is:
In Crystal create the parameter called DocKey@
This is recognized by sap and the active document number is passed to the report layout.
In crystal itself also do a filter {<Table>.<Column Name>} = {?DocKey}
So simple once you know how.
Hope this help someone else that is as stuck as I was.

Hi Andy,
Sorry, forgot to post the Source that's use by both AL1.1.4 and AL2.0.1.
Source
begin
insert into scott.json_demo values(:title,:description);

it's failing during the insert?
Yes, it failed during insert using AL2.0.1.
So the above statement produces the following error message:
The symbol "" was ignored.
ORA-06550: line 2, column 74:
PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol "" when expecting one of the following:

<an identifier> <a double-quoted delimited-idThis suggests to me that an unprintable character (notice how there is nothing between the double quotes - "") has worked its way into your PL/SQL Handler. Note how the error is reported to be a column 74 on line 2, yet line 2 of the above block should only have 58 characters, so at a pure guess somehow there's extra whitespace on line 2, that is confusing the PL/SQL compiler, I suggest re-typing the PL/SQL handler manually and seeing if that cures the problem. -
How to pass realtime data from a sub vi to a calling vi?
I'm trying to pass some data from a called (sub) vi to the calling vi,
while the sub vi is running. I've tried passing to a global, but the
calling vi doesn't show the results until the sub vi has completed
execution. I understand why this is happening, I'd like a method, if
one exists, to work around it.
Thanks!
BillYou've done several things incorrectly. First, the subVI has a while loop that terminates with a front panel Boolean. Since you don't make the front panel of the subVI visible, the subVI just runs with no way to stop it. When you call a subVI, execution passes to the subVI and the calling VI is paused. Since the subVI has no way to stop and return to the main, the while loop in the main is not running and reading the global variable. If you were to drag the subVI outside the while loop, then you would see the global update. You still would need to make the subVI visible in order to be able to press it's stop button. Of course, with the subVI visible, it's front panel is showing the value getting updated and there's no reason to have a global in the main anyway.
If you want to have a subVI remain hidden, you can't use a while loop with a front panel control that's needed to stop it. Well, you can but that gets kind of complicated. If you do have a subVI and want to update an indictor with a global, the reading of the globabl should be done in a separate while loop. To keep the update in the same loop, don't use a global. You can create a reference to a front panel indicator and pass that to the subVI. The subVI writes to the value property. Here's a real simple example of that in 7.0.

HOW TO PASS THE DATA FROM SELECTION SCREEN TO STANDARD TRANSACTION?
HI,
HOW TO PASS THE DATA FROM SELECTION SCREEN TO STANDARD TRANSACTION?
thanks,
samba.By selection screen, what do you mean? There is no selection screen in WDA as there was in classic dynpro. Do you mean you are using the Select-Options reusable component? Are you wanting to call a standard transaction via ITS - SAPGUI for HTML? Please provide more details to your question.
