Treasury report - Interest accrual for instrument over a given point of tim

Hi,
One of the treasury managers at our US-based client location has the following requirement for a Treasury report:
u2022     Is there a report in SAP that will tell the manager how much interest would accrue for an instrument over a given point of time?
u2022     For example, it would tell the manager what the TBB4 transaction would accrue for an instrument next year provided that the principal payments occur as they are scheduled to occur in the Treasury module?
u2022     The client is talking about accruals and not payments
u2022     He would like to have a standard SAP report as far as possible that would circumvent the need to manually get a dump of principal payments/rates and manipulate it in Excel
Any pointers welcome u2013 SAP standard reports preferred.
Thanks & Regards,
Atish

Hi,
Check the report S_ALN_01001154.  Specify the key date and the transaction number, it will give the accrued interest till that key date which will be posted through TBB4.
Regards,
Ravi

  • Mark Interest Accrual for MM Instruments as Posted at go-live

Folks I have a simple situation wherein I want to mark legacy Interest Accruals as Posted, the way TBB1_LC works.
If I run TPM44 with no immediate posting, it does the trick but then sets the status as To Be Fixed, I tried using TPM18 to see if later on such flows could get fixed by mistake, and SAP did not fix any flows which is what I want.
Question is whether  TPM44 with no immediate posting should work same as TBB1_LC for my scenario ?
    Much Appreciated.
    Rahul

    Hello Renatas,
    Simple Scenario is:
For an "Intercompany Loan" Instrument with 4 months freq. Chronology given below:
    Last Payment/ Capitalization Date = 5/31/2014 (Position/Principle Balance = 1mm)
    Legacy/Excel based Interest Accrual on 6/30/2014 = 1k
    Legacy/Excel based Interest Accrual on 7/31/2014 = 1k
    SAP Go-live Date = 7/31/2014
On 7/31, Performed TBB1_LC with Position Principle as of 5/31/2014 (1mm) with Position Posting Date = 5/31/2014   (no posting in SAP)
On 7/31, Above 2 Accruals posted to new SAP GL Account on 7/31 (general journal, not via TR)
But to proceed further, how to statistically post Legacy/Excel based Interest Accrual on 6/30 & 7/31  like we did in TBB1_LC.
Please note postings to previous periods are not possible as they have been closed and have been posted manually accounting wise from excel.
SAP based Interest Accrual on 8/31/2014 = 1k (posted in SAP)
SAP based Interest Accrual on 9/30/2014 = 1k  (posted in SAP)
On 9/31 Interest Capitalization Date = New Principle = 1mm + all total interest accruals which will be the correct cash flow indicated by SAP.
Please note that the loan instruments are denominated in different currencies than CoCd currencies hence there are forex gain/loss issues too.

    Rahul

  • Different interest percentages for different over due days

    Hi Experts,
I have the following scenario with respect to the Interest calc for customers.
    1. If the line item is over due till 90 days interest will be charged 10%
    2. If the same line item is over due more than 90 days interest should be charged 12%
Can you please provide me with a possible way to configure this scenario?
    Thanks in advance.
    Siva Cheruvu

    Dear Siva Cheruvu ,
the programs for interest calculation for open items (RFDUZI00 or
RFKUZI00) and for interest calculation for balances (RFSZIS00, RFDZIS00,
    RFKZIS00) calculate interest linearly.
Kindly review the SAP  Note 403580. As this note states, you may
have to use BTE 4152 for interest calculation changes, in case you want
to use a different formula than the one available in the standard.
About the new report RFINTITAR and RFINTITAP, please check the SAP note 736223 that gives You additional information to allow You to do own programming.
Several Badis can help You by se19 to do it as FI_INT_CUS01 for example.

  • Report to find out Manager change in given period of time.

    Hi All,
There is a standard report to find out info type changes. But it is not capturing the HRP1001 info type.
Is there any report or function module which will Identify the manager change for a given period of time?
    Regards,
    Ravi

Here is what you need to do
The customizing for the change log you have to do following setting in  SM30->T77CDOC_CUST.
    T77CDOC_CUST:
    PlanVersion: 01
    ObjectType: S ( position )
    Infotype: 1001
    Subtype = 'A002' ( reports to)
    Activate = 'X'
After that you can analyse the change log with sa38->RHCDOC_DISPLAY
This will work if you have a reporting structure. i.e. one position reports to another position via A 0002 relationship.
    cheers

  • Payments relevant to Treasury instruments over the in-house bank accounts

    Hi Experts,
I'd like to ask you what are major tasks, like Customizing and definition of relevant Master data, if you would like to implement payments processing relevant to Treasury instruments over the in-house bank accounts for group of companies, e.g. some companies are doing internal deals and then executes related payments over the in-house bank instead of using external banks.
    thanks a lot in advance.
    Rgds,
    Renatas

    Hi,
If you are asking about the steps to be done from transaction manager side to use already configured In House cash, the steps will be minimal.  It is just changing bank and payment method details in business partner.
But if you want to know about configuring the In House cash itself for processing the internal payments from transaction manager, then it involves quite a good amount of work.  At a high level these are the steps but certainly by no measure this is complete or exhaustive.
    1. Decide the companies which are going to participate in IHC (I assume IHC is only going to be used only for internal payments).
    2. Customize IHC and create IHC specific Business partner master data (like bank area, conditions, account management, bank statements, IHC transaction types etc. )
    3. Use the payment methods and bank master details in the transaction manager BP (this is the step to be done inside Transaction manager)

  • Accrual for Interest rate SWAP

i want to know how acrual for Interest rate SWAP works from account assignment point of  view
i would really apprecaite if any1 can give me information or docuents for setting interest rate swap accrul

    Hi,
In the case of interest rate swap,  we have to post the accrual/deferral in TBB4.  Here from account assignment point of view, we have to assign the condition type to the product type and the transaction type.  For this condition type we have to assign the flow types.
As far as the account assignment goes, just like normal accrual, we have to post Cr Interest payable account and Cr Interest paid account.  In the case of int rate swap, unlike currency swap, only the interest amounts would be posted and the nominal amount will not be posted to FI.
If you have further doubts please ask me.
    Regards

  • IHC interest accrual calculation for subsidiares

When interest accrual calculation is done in IHC (F993), the transaction F9HI (FI transfer) posts these amounts in the FI of the company that holds IHC.
Our customer wants that the corresponding amount (with opposite sign) is transferred to the FI system of the subsidiary.
Did you have ever had any similar request?
(the situation is different from interest calculation (F996 or F991) in which a single item corresponding to the interest amount is posted on the IHC account and then is transferred to the subsidiary via the IHC bank statement)
    Thanks!

Hi guys, this is the SAP answer to the incident we have opened.
"I have understood the issue that you are facing. I am afraid, there is
no standard solution in IHC to update the subsidiary with the interest
accrual items. From the IHC design point of view, the business process
does not state to replicate the postings of the IHC system into the
subsidiary. The idea is to make payments on behalf of the subsidiary
and in the process also allow the reconciliation to happen at
subsidiary by clearing the customer/vendor line and updating the
    payable/receivable accounts of the subsidiary.
As you mention, you are transferring the interest postings resulting
from F996 to the subsidiary system, however, this is not a step
defined in the IHC business process.
As far as F993 interest accrual is concerned, you have rightly
mentioned, the GL transfer is performed only to the IHC/HQ GL
accounts. There is no provision of transferring the accrual items to
    the subsidiary GL accounts.
This is as per the standard IHC design.
I am sorry, but i have no better news for you on this front."

  • National Instruments releases LabVIEW Report Generation Toolkit for Microsoft Office.

The new LabVIEW Report Generation Toolkit for Microsoft Office is a library of flexible, easy-to-use tools for programmatically creating and editing Microsoft Word and Excel reports from LabVIEW. Whether you need to generate reports summarizing manufacturing test results or compile process statistics to improve your production yields, this toolkit speeds your development of customized, professional reports.
To see examples of this toolkit or get more information please visit :
    http://www.ni.com/labview/report_gen_toolkit.htm

It is a bit limiting though. I built my own set of VI's, a toolkit if you will, that does some of what this tookit does. But, I also wrote some functionality that isn't available in NI's kit, such as creating charts as separate worksheets and linking the charts to data on another worksheet. All in all, the toolkit is great, but you can't get as much out of it as you can using the ActiveX calls yourself.

  • Information on the reports that have run over a certain period of time

    Hi everybody,
do you know any report (programme, table or other object) that provides with the information on what reports have been called by the users over a certain period of time in the past? I am especially interested in the reports in the customer name space (z-reports). Once there was a programme called RBE (Reverse Business Engineer) that could give this information, but it doesn't function in ECC 5.0 & ECC 6.0 anymore and no longer supported by SAP.
I would be grateful for any information. Thank you! Nat

Transaction ST03N will give you all the information you seek and then some!

  • An interesting trend for Novell

This is my own observation, and I hope I am not right
During the last couple of years I am noticing an interesting trend for where Novell is going as a company and as software products. As a starter, the Identity&Security portfolio was taken away from Novell and into NetIQ. I'm talking fundamental Novell systems with great value (at least for me) and/or strong market position - Identity Manager, Access Manager, Sentinel, eDirectory!!!, and few others that are not so important. These have always been recognizable as Novell products, but now they are NetIQ's. Not a big deal at first glance, at least until Novell and NetIQ get acquired by 2 different companies.
What is left for Novell is OES, GroupWise, ZENworks and few others which are not so important. I see that current Novell software gets modified in order to work in AD environments - this is the case with GW2014, this is the case with the coming OES2015 and this is the case with ZENworks since quite a while. Every Novell software was separated from eDirectory, and made compatible with AD. At least so far everything works still with eDirectory. Not only this, but in many official Novell documentation (user guides, admin guides, training materials, etc.) in the compatibility for directory systems part, they always put Microsoft Active Directory before eDirectory, and Windows before SLES! This pisses me off, but hey - who am I to object... Microsoft on the other hand has competitive products that everybody is using (so they must be gorgeous, perfect, the best, no?) - Exchange, Windows Server, SCCM, AD. I still don't understand what could be a reason, provided one is entirely MS shop (and using the best perfect gorgeous one-and-only products from MS), to add another vendor into their infrastructure (along with everything that comes from that - other suppliers, other support, other bugs, incompatibilities, etc.. Price? Hmmm, I am not quite convinced. Anyway, the Novell Marketing has to worry about this, not me.
My question is, is Novell becoming just another software company (thousands like it out there) that writes pieces of software for Microsoft environments? And instead of competing with Microsoft, it is going to compete with thousands of others for what's left from Microsoft's table? Hmmm...

Keep in mind that before The Attachmate Group acquired Novell, TAG
consisted of Attachmate and NetIQ. NetIQ had a long history of
focusing on security and identity products. Then TAG acquired Novell,
and really Novell didn't have a focus. Novell did file & networking,
collaboration, endpoint management, workload automation, datacenter,
security, identity... the list went on and on. So the idea was to have
each business unit focus on its core competencies. Novell for the
longest time of course had file & networking (since 1983), and both
collaboration and endpoint management had been around since the
mid-90s. The products you mentioned were moved to NetIQ since that had
always been their focus, and the Linux/datacenter stuff got moved over
to SUSE. Each BU now could focus on what had made it great instead of
being sidetracked by being a mile wide and a foot deep.
    > What is left for Novell is OES, GroupWise, ZENworks and few others
    > which are not so important.
Those three products are the "heritage" products. But I wouldn't say
that things such as Filr, iPrint, and File Management Suite aren't so
important. The Enterprise File Sync & Share (EFSS) space is huge right
now as there's more and more organizations need a way to get to their
files from home and work, from mobile devices, share large files with
those outside the organization, etc and they want to do it securely.
They need something better than Dropbox/BOX/OneDrive/Google Drive, and
we're seeing tons of interest in Filr as a result. In many cases
customers that have migrated away completely from our heritage products
are coming back to Novell purely for Filr. iPrint is a similar story
now that it's been broken out of NW/OES. Also as more and more
organizations try to get a handle on their file server architectures,
and we're seeing a lot of interest there, then things such as File
Reporter and Storage Manager (both part of FMS) become very important.
    > I see that current Novell software gets
    > modified in order to work in AD environments - this is the case with
    > GW2014, this is the case with the coming OES2015 and this is the case
    > with ZENworks since quite a while.
Yes, and it's also the case with Filr, iPrint, and FMS. Basically
every product in the Novell portfolio has full support for AD so that
customers aren't forced to run the entire Novell stack to get the
    advantages of a particular product.
    > At least so
    > far everything works still with eDirectory.
There are no plans to change this, either.
    > Not only this, but in
    > many official Novell documentation (user guides, admin guides,
    > training materials, etc.) in the compatibility for directory systems
    > part, they always put Microsoft Active Directory before eDirectory,
    > and Windows before SLES!
Well, the MS stuff comes first alphabetically. :-) Active Directory
comes before eDirectory, Microsoft comes before Novell. A lot of the
docs I see take this approach which then doesn't give any preferential
treatment to any technology. It just uses the alphabet.
    > Microsoft on the other hand has competitive products that
    > everybody is using
Many are using, but not everybody. If everybody was using Microsoft's
products, then all other software vendors would be gone. :-)
    > My question is, is Novell becoming just another software company
    > (thousands like it out there) that writes pieces of software for
    > Microsoft environments?
Not at all. We still have the products that made us great, we're
innovating new products, and we're making sure all of our products have
an increased scope to support Microsoft, Novell, even Google
environments. This strategy allows us to support existing customers
while also bringing back former ones.

  • Forex Gain/loss posting from prior interest Accruals in capitaliization scenario !!

    Gurus,
    This is a decent question.
In SAP MM instruments, how do we post
Forex Gain/loss arisng from prior interest Accruals in capitaliization scenario !!
    1. Is it REALIZED OR UNREALIZED gain/loss?
    2. Should it even be considered Gain / Loss, in which case Accounting Entry will be like
    DR/CR Interest Accrued
    Cr/DR Interest Accrued Discount
    Please advise.
    Rahul

    Hi Rahul,
Can you explain what do you mean by prior interest acrruals in capitalization scenario.
If you have a MM product which you are capitalizing the interest , then for previous month the accrual interest posted which is already posted will remain.
I am not clear about the scenario. Care to explain it pls

  • How do I put data into a template using the Labview report generation toolkit for Microsoft Office?

I am running Lookout 5.0 and have recently purchased the Labview Report Generation Toolkit for Microsoft Office to create reports from my Lookout logged data. Since I have never used Labview I am having my problems. I tried following the tutorials but they do not seem to be examples of what I want to do.
I log rainfall totals (1 spreadsheet)in Lookout from 40 different sites in 5 minute increments. I copy these totals and paste them into another spreadsheet which sums them up to give me hourly totals and then paste those totals into a spreadsheet for distribution.
In Labview I create a new report and use the distribution sheet as my template, but how do I complete
the steps of loading the raw 5 minute data into labview and then paste it into the hourly total spreadsheet and then transfer those totals into the distribution template?
I have been trying to figure this out for over a week, and I am getting nowhere.
    Any response would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Jason Phillips

Lookout saves the files in .csv form which can be opened in Excel. I did make some progress by using the "append table to report" vi which allowed me to put values into an array and then those values were entered into my template on my report vi.
Where I am stuck now is I want to be able to put values into my template from a .csv file, not from an array I have to manually put numbers in.
Once those values are in my template I want to pull summed values from the template and place them into a final excel file for printing.
I have attached examples of the files I am working with to help you better understand what I am trying to do.
    I hope that makes sense.
