Trigger a applescript or Quickeys event from a Logic Express SCORE WINDOW

I am using a wireless bluetooth midi device that sends a note on C60 midi command to logic express. I have the automation set to trigger the next note in the score window by just having a note on C60 trigger the RIGHT ARROW key. I want to trigger a Applescript, Quickey or start a video when the SCORE reaches a certain point. It could also be at the end of that score as well.
I am really stuck and ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much.

Have partially answered my own question- have worked out how to change note sizes to the smaller cue-type display, not quite sure how to designate them non-playing though still appearing in the score though.

  • Can I trigger an applescript from my iPhone clock alarm?

    I have a home audio system in my home in which my computer is one of my sources. I have an applescript that tells me the current weather, if my sports teams are playing that night or anything else in my calendar for the day. I would like to be able to control this through the alarm on my iPhone. If I had my alarm set for 6am it would trigger this applescript and act as an alarm through my speakers. It would only trigger this event if the alarm is enabled. Is it possible to trigger an applescript through my alarm in the clock of the iPhone?

    Pretty much no. There is no way to trigger an Apple Script on your computer using the clock app on your phone.

  • Trigger execution of a CR report from SAP BW Process chain

    Hi,
    we want to trigger execution of a Crystal Report from a BW process chain.
    What is the best way to do this?
    Our CR reports are not saved to BW.
    We are currently investigation the option of using a file event on the BO server and using an ABAP program step in the process chain to create the file using FTP. But we want to know if there is an easier way of doing this?
    Thanks and regards

    Hello Nathan,
    your solution with the FTP script and a file being moved to the BO server sounds very interesting!
    Actually that's what I would need to implement in my project.
    Would it be possible for you to give me some information on how to write such a script and how to call it from the Process Chain? Any hint would be really precious!
    Thank you in advance!

  • How can I detect an external trigger and then generate an event or occurance

    I have a PXIe-1065 chassis with a PXIe8030 controller, PXI-6653 timing module, PXI-6542 Digital IO, and PXI-6259 DAQ board, running LabView 8.5. I need to detect a trigger (100 ns TTL pulse) from an external device then start a process on a GPIB device. Is there a way for me to detect this trigger and then generate an event, or an occurance ? Can I do this without polling a device? Can any of this hardware generate an interrupt that LabView can detect?

    My screenshot was only an example how you can approach the issue. I wasnt saying that you should try it with AI....
    Just take a closer look into the DAQmx Events and you will discover something like this:

  • Calling Portal event from ABAP class

    Hi Experts,
    I need a following clarificatrion, Please help,
    1. Is it possible to call a webdynpro method from a normal ABAP class?
    2. If no, we need a functionality of a class 'CL_WDR_HTTP_EXT_MIME_HANDLER' having method 'DO_DOMAIN_RELAX_HTML'.
    Is there any alternative method which can be used in ABAP having the same functionality.
    3. Is there any ways with which we can call portal event from ABAP class?
    Thanks,
    Shabir

    >1. Is it possible to call a webdynpro method from a normal ABAP class?
    I wouldn't necessarily recommend this approach. You shouldn't try to trigger events or any of the standard WDDO* methods from outside the WD Component itself.  That said, you can pass the object reference (like the WD_COMP_CONTROLLER object reference or the View Object Reference) into methods of normal classes.  Be careful if you are finding yourself calling a lot of your added methods from outside WD.  This is probably a sign that these methods should be in the Assistance Class or some other Class functioning as a Model Object.
    >2. If no, we need a functionality of a class 'CL_WDR_HTTP_EXT_MIME_HANDLER' having method 'DO_DOMAIN_RELAX_HTML'.
    Is there any alternative method which can be used in ABAP having the same functionality.
    What exactly do you want to do here?  Do you just want to get the relaxation script?  For what purpose?  You should never need to inject the relaxation script into WDA.
    >3. Is there any ways with which we can call portal event from ABAP class?
    To what purpose.  Do you just want to delegate the triggering of the event that is inside WD Component to be called from a class?  If so you can pass the portal API object reference into a class from the WD Component.  However this only works while running within WD.
    How is this class used?  Are you running in WD?  Are you trying to generate some HTML code that runs in the portal independent of WD?

  • Eventing from a PDK appln to a Webdynpro appln ! :(

    Hi,
    I would like to trigger an event in webdynpro and catch subscribe for it from a PDK application..
    (And passing data b/w WD appln and a PDK appln ...)
    How can i acheive the same..
    WDPortalEventing will work only across WD applns !
    Is their any API that suits my requirement !
    Any help is appreciated !
    Regards

    Hi Bharath,
    You can trigger in WD and catch it in the PDK application.
    The following code is for firing an event from webdynpro.
    WDPortalEventing.fire ("urn:com.sap.tc.webdynpro.test.portal",
                           "TestEvent",
                           "AParameter");

    It can be captured in portal using EPCF
    EPCM.subscribeEvent( "urn:com.sap.tc.webdynpro.test.portal",
             "TestEvent",Function_name);

  • [AS] Can Applescript record InDesign events ??

    Is is possible for the script editor to record apple events from Indesign? Ie. Press the record button in the script editor, do some stuff in Indesign and have the commands automatically recorded.
    If so, what is the criteria for this? CS1, CS2, CS3 ? MacOS 10.x ? Applescript version ?
    if not, is there a third-party plugin that will do this?

  • Invoking an event from another event

    Hi,
    I'm kind of new to the event structure in LV 7. Can anyone tell me how to invoke another event from the other one. For example i have two events say "calculate" to do something and "popmessage" to pop-up a user defined message box. How do i trigger the popmesage event upon timing out?

    Hello,
    In order to invoke a new event from within an existing event, you need to use programmatically generated (or user) events.
    To find more information on programming with events,
    See the LabVIEW User's Guide
    In LabVIEW, go to Help, Search the LabVIEW Bookshelf
    Click the LabVIEW User Manual
    Chapter 9 describes Event-Driven Programming.
    Read the event-programming tutorials.
    Go to http://www.ni.com and click on Support at the top.
    In Option 3, enter keywords "events labview" (without quotes).
    The first link should be Event-Driven Programming in LabVIEW and the
    third should be Advanced Event Handling with LabVIEW 7 Express.
    Look at example code in LabVIEW
    In LabVIEW, go to Help, Find Examples.
    On the Search tab, enter "events."
    Open "Programmatically Fire Events" for an example of triggering a new event from within an existing event.
    I have also attached a simple example showing how to use programmatic events to invoke a new event from within the current event. However, the new event will not be processed until the current event is finished.
    Is your situation that the calculate event may take a long time and you'd like to pop up a message after a certain amount of time? If so, one solution is to have parallel event structures. In the second structure, only process the user event. However, a simpler solution may be to check the clock before your processing loop and com
    pare this value periodically in the loop to see if a certain amount of time has elapsed.
    Happy coding,

  • Event from Migo

    Hi all,
    Migo trans. is not throwing any event in the system from which my WF can start. Moreover due to some issues, cannot have a Z-transaction for triggering an event...
    Now how to trigger an event from MIGO to start my Workflow...
    Please suggest...
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sudipto.

    Hi,
    I happened to be given a project to create an email when a Goods Receipt is posted using MIGO, so this thread came in handy.  I had just completed a similar project with Request for Quotation documents.
    For this project my steps where:
    1.  I created object ZMSEG with event 'Received'.
    2.  I created a Workflow to be triggered by event 'Received'.
    3.  I then implemented ZMB_DOCUMENT_BADI using method MB_DOCUMENT_UPDATE to trigger my event with SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT.
    Everything worked fine.
    This is the first time I've postd and have had some great help from previous posts.
    Thanks for all of the BADI information.

  • Dispatching an event from a command

    Hi,
    In one for my commands in the Cairngorm based application I'm working on I need to dispatch a event to amend the view. In my command I'm amending some value objects in a ArrayCollection, which is the data source for a List component in my view. Once I completed my changes to these value objects I'd like to dispatch a event to resort the ArrayCollection and update my view to the new order.
    What is the best approach for dispatching an event in the command?
    Thanks
    Stephen

    Great question - I'm currently sorting out how to do this myself.  I'm new to Cairngorm but have a decent amount of experience with Flex.  Here are my thoughts:
    Cairngorm promotes decoupling of the data model and front controller/commands from the view - which is appropriate for an MVC framework. Data binding supports this seperation (to an extent) and keeps the view up to date with the model in 'real time'.  Data binding does not however provide an intuitive mechanism for reacting to cairngorm event results.  So here a few solutions I've been tossing around:
    1.  Rely on Built in Flex events such as the datagrid's dataChange event to trigger a reaction.
    2.  Create view state variables in the model that, when changed through the front controller / commands, dispatch custom events from within their VO's / setters / ect.
    3.  Dispatch custom events directly from front controller / commands.
    4.  Create custom (or override existing) item renderers that self-transition / tween when changed as a result of data binding.
    I'm sure there are other ways to do what we want, but I'm out of ideas.  Which approach to take very well depends on how strongly you'd like to adhere to the MVC concept.  Commands that dispatch generic events as their messages may or may not be acceptable to you - but they provide a straitforward way to trigger view related reactions without relying on data binding events.  I'd be interested to know if Cairngorm 3 will address this challenge...
    Let me know what you decide on if and when you make a choice!

  • Call event from other event or other vi

    I have LabVIEW 6.1.
    1. Can I call an event or a serious of events from another event? How can I do that? It doesn't matter if the events are executed after the event that called them is completed.
    2. Can I call an event from another vi? Let's say I have an event structure in a subvi. Can I trigger an event in the subvi calling it from the main vi? How would I do that?
    Thanks for your help.
    Jerome.

    Salutations,
    In reality, a program should only have 1 event structure. Or so someone much more knowledgable with labview has told me in the past.
    It's an important note to make that when running events or SubVi's, they will run until they are accomplished and then allow the next event or subvi to take place. So if you have multiple event structures, you must wait until one finished before the next one is run (This might...no guarantees, be avoided by multiple while loops and not locking the front panel on the execution of an event). Now, since you don't care, you can handle such a case. Just make multiple events in your one main event structure. I'm not sure what exactly you want to do, just make sure you "unfreeze" the front panel when you're messing with what handles what events.
    Hence, you could have a "run" button that's pressed and it goes about it's business. Then you could have a mouse down response, that you hit while your "run" process is still going, this will be, in a sense, logged and accomplished once the "run" task is done. Now, if you're looking for data to trigger another event, maybe I'd switch over to a case structure that's inside your event structure. For case structures, every case must have an output.
    Can you trigger an event in the subvi calling it from the main vi.... Excellent question... I'm not exactly sure when this would come up, but i'm not super experienced like some of the people around here. It may be possible, but i'd imagine a case structure would be more efficient. Like the ones in error handling. Pass the case to the subvi, it'll operate depending on what you want, and then continue along. Events seem most useful when dealing with events that occur on the front panel.
    Hope this helps,

  • Avoiding first select event from chart ?

    Hi,
    I trigger a select event from a chart to another BI query to drill down into details. Unfortunately, when the chart is build up, without any user interaction a first select event is already triggered. Is it possible to avoid this event (for instance by a guard condition) ?
    Regards, Christian

    Hi Christian
    Sorry about the delay. The solution here is to use a data store and a guard condition, the data store should be triggered on the first select event in the chart, its default value should be itself+1, this means that when the first select event is triggered the value will be 1, you can then use your guard condition to check for this and only if the value is greater than 1 it should continue.

  • Calling events from scripts in UIX

    Hi,
    I am able to call the ordinary events in the UIX from the script. But I am not able to call the

    Could anyone please tell me how to call them.

    Velpandian

    Velpandian -
    Assuming your page contains a form, you can trigger an event on the server from a JavaScript handler by calling submitForm(). The following sample shows how to send an event both by using the ctrl:event attribute as well as from a JavaScript handler:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <page xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/uix/controller"
          xmlns:ui="http://xmlns.oracle.com/uix/ui"
          xmlns:data="http://xmlns.oracle.com/uix/ui"
          xmlns:ctrl="http://xmlns.oracle.com/uix/controller">
    <content>
      <form name="foo" xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/uix/ui">
      <contents>
        <!-- Import the submitForm() function -->
        <importScript names="submitForm()"/>
        <stackLayout>
        <contents>
          <!-- This link sends an event using a ctrl:event attribute -->
          <link text="Send Event" ctrl:event="test"/>
          <!-- This link sends an event using a JavaScript event handler.
               We use submitForm() and specify the event name using
               a parameter.  Note that this means that we need to be
               sure that we also have an "event" hidden field - which
               we add via a formParameter element below -->
          <link text="Send Event from JavaScript"
                onClick="if (confirm('Send event')) submitForm(0, 0, {'event':'test'}); else return false;"
                destination="#"/>
          <!-- Need a form value to contain the event name -->
          <formParameter name="event"/>

      <event name="test">
        <go name="nextPage"/>
      </event>
    </handlers>
    </page>I couldn't find the documentation for submitForm() online anywhere... Here is a copy of the documentation from our source code:
    * Attempts to submits the form, potentially firing validation and notifying

    * <code>true</code> if the submission actually occurred.

    * the form will be submitted if both the validation succeeds and any

    * @param form The form to submit.  This can either be the name of the form

    *             in the current <code>document</code> or the form itself.
    * @param doValidate boolean value specifying whether validation should

    *   this parameter is ommitted, it defaults to true.
    * @param parameters a single Javascript object that specifies
