Trigger button click programatically after a specified time

I'm trying to make an application that doesn't require the user to make a click on a button, in order for the action to occur. I need this action to occur every 500 ms, but the thing is I don't know how to do this programatically, since I'm new to labview. what I want to do is take a picture from my web cam every 500 ms, and in another windows, I want to capture the entire video. So I would have a live video stream on one side and a picture from that live stream on the other side. any examples will be greatly appreciated.

-First you need to understand how to capture video and images from webcam.
-Please check examples bundled along with labview for grab(Continuous capture) and snap.
-For examples>>Help>>Find Examples>>Search for grab and snap.
-Check this for an example i added. In that vi, whenever you click button, at that instance the captured image will be saved.

-In your case it will be every 500ms it needs to capture image. Using proper timing vis change the value of boolean control to get it done.

Thanks for your response. The timeout option will work if the Transport Protocol is FTP. But take a case where it is NFS.
Then how will be monitor the source location for a certain period and then raise an alert.

How do I run an Apple Script only when the computer is awake at the specified time and NOT upon waking after the specified time?

I've been using Steve Lambert's SelfControl to block myself from certain time-sucking internet sites for a certain period of time every day. I've automated the program launch using an AppleScript that runs based on an iCal alarm, but the problem is that if my computer has been asleep or shut off, the script will run as soon as I wake it up or start it up, and that can be very inconvenient if I'm intending to use my computer not during the hours when I intended to restrict access to such websites.
So, is there any way to schedule an AppleScript to run *only* if the computer is running at the designated time and not upon waking/starting up after the alarm has passed if the computer was asleep/off?
I started investigating launchd, as I understand this is the successor to cron/crontab in OS X Lion, but it appears that launchd has the same behavior I dislike in the iCal alarm approach--the script will run upon waking even if the time when it was supposed to run has already passed...unless there is a way to change this behavior?

The obvious/easy solution would be to add some logic to the script to see what the time is.
If you expect the script to run at, say, 1pm, but the script checks the time and sees that it's 5pm then you can assume the machine was asleep at the time and thefore you can bail out gracefully.

end if
You can fine-tune the check as much as you like

Trigger Button Click

I need a way to programmatically click one of the interface buttons, if at all possible.
I've tried calling the method directly linked to the button, but for some reason it doesn't work.
I've tested several different scenarios, but it never works as expected.
So, I figured the easiest, most effective way would be to activate a button as if a user had clicked it.
Is there any way to do this?
My button is of course an IADMItem and I've tried stuff like SendNotify(), but it just doesn't work as expected.
Seems like there's something really simple that I've been overlooking.

I must apologize in advance for such a newbie question.
I'm actually a server admin/web developer who inherited a complex C++ project, so I'm still in the middle of figuring half of this stuff out.

I can't think of why calling the method linked with the button wouldn't cause it to work. Can you explain a little more about what the context is -- specifically when do you call the method and what does the method attempt to do? Does the method get called, and just not do anything?

Crystal report not shown after application idle time

i have a web page which uses around 10 session variables to store values on a button click.and after assign session values Response.Redirect("~/url",false); to a a page which contains crystal report viewer.and report should show those session values.after keeping the application idle for 45 mins i click on the button which assign session values.then it's redirecting to the report page but the report is not shown.it shows a empty page and no errors shown(only happens application is idle for nearly 45 mins other wise works fine)
i'm using iis 7
in the web.config i have set sessionState timeout="60" and application pool idle time out to 60 mins.
any idea why this happens

Get a waveform graph to stop plotting after a given time period

I am doing a research project looking at the effects of modifying visual feedback on a person's current force output. I have a waveform graph that plots the target force level they are trying to match (specified by me) and next to it a second plot showing their current force output (in real time). I am trying to make a condition where the current force output plot (or really the whole waveform graph) stops plotting after a 10 s time period, but can't seem to get it to work. It either plots for the whole trial, or does not plot at all. Is there a way to put a timer on a waveform graph in order to tell it to stop plotting after a specified time period?

You can change the scene by calling stage.setScene(new Scene(newContentParent));
I don't think you are quite asking for a complete scene change though as you "want the main window and the scene in one stage". The main window is a stage (as Stage extends Window). And a given stage can only contain one scene at a time (though you can swap it out by calling setScene as described earlier).
What I think you are really asking for how can you replace some content part of the active Scene on the Stage. To do that you can set a layout manager like a HBox or a BorderPane as the root of your scene, then change out the content of the layout manager. For example:

ValueChangeListener in Radio Button not acting after first time

I am using ADF-BC-JSF in Jdev 10.1.3.3. I have a page on which there are 2 radio buttons which show blank at first. As soon as a user selects a radio button, the valueChangeListener calls up a method in the backing bean that opens a dialog for the user. User enters some text in to the dialog and clicks OK after which the window closes. If the user clicks Cancel on the dialog page, the window is still closed but radio button value is reset to blank through javascript. the problem is that it works only first time. second time it tries to autosubmit but only the constructor of the backing bean is called and not the actual function to open the window. Following is the code snippet that may be helpful.

It appears you may be casting the date variable wrong.
If you have
command.AddParameter("Filter",
"WhenChanged -gt 11/4/2014 11:19:10 PM"
And avoid the lastModifiedTime.ToString() addition, does it work?
If so, it's just the way you're doing your date manipulation.
Also, why convert from a string to a datetype and back for the datestring? Are you trying to correct a timezone issue?

In code it should be easy.
The following code adds a button called butman with a text "ADD".
It then registers a listener that will be called if the button is clicked.
This listener then calls the runAddData method if you clicked on butman while it contained the "ADD" text and it will call the runClearData method otherwise.
Therefore it will swap the button's functionality between ADD and CLEAR on every click.

Some extra food for thought.
You might want to run the ADD and CLEAR methods in their own threads so that it can run in the back ground, without slowing down your user interface.
I also like to rather reuse one button for multiple functionality in stead of making an application with hundreds of nodes only used rarely with masses of code to show and hide them if needed.

Knock on wood, this seems to have been my problem as well. I stumbled on this thread after dealing with this ridiculously-long boot times for the past several weeks.
I just reinstalled McAfee Antivirus and my Macbook Air booted up in less than 1 minute. No more hanging on the boot-up progress bar. No more hanging after I click on my user's avatar on the log-in screen. Bootup would often take 5+ minutes and sometimes never complete.
This has been SUPREMELY frustrating.

Hi. how do I prevent the timeline of a symbol from restarting when the trigger button is clicked a second time and the timeline has already run. I have a line that grows when I click the button and I want it to stay like. When I click the button again the line jumps to its original size.

The warranty says that Apple may restrict service of an iPhone to the country of sale, and any reliable salesperson will tell you that if you tell them that you plan to use the iPhone in another country. Such service restrictions are common with cellphones and are by no means limited to Apple's phones.
Sorry, but if your iPhone requires service, you will need to send it to someone you know in the US who can get it serviced and then send it back to you.

This is absolutely possible! Adding view elements at runtime is called "dynamic programming". There are a lot of good resources and tutorials on SCN if you do a search. To start you off, here is an excellent series by Thomas Szücs:

Another option that avoids dynamic programming is to create the view element at design time but bind its visible property to a context attribute of type WDUI_VISIBILITY. You could initially set its visibility to "none" until the user clicks the button, then you could change its visibility to "visible".

Here is the workflow which you can follow to achieve this functionality.
Puspendra: You can choose image button and then choose from the available image buttons, or click on the folder icon when you select the image button and choose from the Gallery of Captivate 6.
Puspendra: Few image buttons change color on hover or onclicked, these effects are predefined in them.
Puspendra: Or you can edit that button on which you are working, from properties Panel.
Puspendra: The Post and Cancel button on this thread seems like a transparent button in Captivate with different fill and stroke color, and transparency is also less, and with corner radius of 0.
Puspendra: You will find these all optionns, when you will click on that button and then click on the properties panel.
