JPEG "Done" Changes not appearing in Bridge

Sorry if this has already been covered, but I didn't see an exact answer in the forum. I am using CS3 and ACR 4.1 in Windows Vista. When I conduct changes in a RAW file and hit "Done" I see the effects and circular icon indicating such in the thumbnails and preview in Bridge.
However, when I do the same with JPEGs, open them in ACR, conduct changes and then press "Done", I do not see the effects in Bridge, even if I purge the cache. The changes are seen if I open the JPEG in Photoshop and then save it, but that seems like a pain in the neck if I'm not doing any actual editing in Photoshop.
Any help would be great!

When the changes don't appear, it is consistent with the thumbnails and the preview. The size of the JPEG doesn't seem contributing factor. Sometimes a changed JPEG will only appear in Bridge as a blank thumbnail with no image whatsoever. Sometimes, in those instances, the preview will show the image.
Actually, I have just stopped worrying about the issue because there doesn't seem to be anything I can do to correct the problem. Generally speaking, I like using Bridge anyway. It occasionally crash on me for no apparent reason. But it will usually restart without problems, and then it seems to work fine with the rest of the day. I just think there are a lot of unresolved issues with Bridge. Maybe if we all had state of the art computers with lots of memory, and dedicated only to Photoshop/Bridge, things would be different.

Style sheet changes not appearing in RH10

Searching for an answer before I posted, I saw this question from a member named Pam about RH11 posted almost a year ago, but I don't see an answer. I'm hoping there is an answer!
After many years of working in RoboHelp and carrying on with inline styles, I'm now looking into changing over to style sheets. I've been tinkering with them in some test projects, and I'm having the same problem that Pam did. The process of creating and applying a style sheet is simple, as far as I can tell, yet I can't get the style sheet formatting to appear. It's in the HTML--I see the .css specified, and there are only heading tags and so on present instead of inline stuff--yet the fonts I've selected appear neither in the Styles and Formatting pod nor in the Design view of the topic. I searched Adobe for help and found this: ROBOHELP 10: Creating CSS for a Topic | Tech Comm Suite Highlights | Adobe TV. I did exactly the same steps, but my fonts and spacing do not change as they do in the video. They don't appear different, that is. When I go into the style sheet, my selections are in there; they're just not displayed on the screen. I compiled a chm file to see if by chance the changes might appear there, but no.
I tried this both with existing and new topics in a test copy of an existing project and with a brand new project created in RoboHelp that had none of my usual baggage. Any ideas?

When I opened your CSS it was written as below.

That was because, as Amebr had picked up, you must have had Desktop setting in the media dropdown when you applied the style. The result is that if you are viewing in any less than 1024px, Arial will not be applied and you will get the browser default on the user's machine.
With media set to None, I defined h1 and p again using Rh's CSS editor and the following was appended.

margin-bottom: 14pt;

Go back to your real project and define your styles with media set to None. Take a copy of the exising CSS first for safety. Delete any styles with media rules applied.
Create the styles by right clicking and using CSS Editor. Clean up by right clicking and using HTML Editor (the css will open in Rh and you can work on it as if in a text editor.

Imported page changes not appearing

Hi
I made few changes to the standard page and ran import script, chnages are not appearing. Any idea why? I know this is not a correct way of making changes. But trying to to see the reason why. We need to change a item type from TextInput to MessageChoice. But I couldn't hide both the columns as edit icon is not available from peronslize option. Also, these items are part of swither. Any ideas?

First of all as you say you know that making changes to standard page is not correct, y r u doing it? Anyways, if you have done this for test purpose, do take the backup before.
Now, have you bounced the server after importing the page? Only then the changes will appear.

In the controller you need to see the logic how the switcher is implemented.Most likey the switcher will be attached to a VO attribute or in process request according to some condition it would be rendering the child.If the first case is true you have to extend the VO and make a new attribute whose value you have to keep messagechoice item id and attach this to switcher through personilization.In the latter case you have to go for controller extension.--Mukul

RF Queue - Posting Changes Not Appearing

Hi All,
We are currently implementing RF in our warehouse.
I have a problem with regards to posting changes - I cannot get them to appear in a queue. Every time I create a posting change TO, it does not adopt the queue (LTAK - QUEUE) as defined in customising, so therefore does not appear in the RF monitor.
We do have a strange set up....in that we use a QM posting change as part of our goods in process, so it may be something to do with that.
It may help if someone could explain how posting changes are handled within a normal RF environment. What are they typically used for and how would the queue assignment be configured?

Yes, I do have entries against transfer type 'U'.
May I ask which screen control setting should be used? I have tried 'Preparation screen for placement into stock' - I can't get any TOs to appear with this setting.
However, when I use ' Single item screen' I can at least get an entry in the RF monitor, although I can't make any queue differentiation.
I think this issue may be of our own making, as we are effectively using posting changes to perform putaway -- I presume normally posting change TOs would not be moving stock from one place to another?

Transport of Query successful, but changes not appeared in the report

Hi All,
I have 2 Queries(Normal and Total stock reports on the same InfoProvider) in Prd.
For that User asked me to add one characteristic to Free characteristics.
I added one characteristic in Free Characteristics to both Queries in Dev and i collected the Transport requests for both the queries in RSA1->TRANSPORT CONNECTIONS and gave it to basis guy, he transported successfully to PRD and for both the reports the changes reflected in the
query designer, while executed the Normal stock report the characteristic added in free characteristics appeared and while drill down the data is coming, but for the Total stock report the changes appeared in Query designer but on executing the report even the characteristic added to Freecharacteristics is not appearing in Navigation Pane.
Also with the same technical name of total stock report there are 2 reports appearing in query designer. what to do now.
Help me here asap..

Hi Chaithu,
As you mentioned that you can see 2 versions by the same technical name in designer for total stock report, it is highly probable that the query you are changing and the query you are executing are different.
2 versions of a query can exist with the same technical name as the system identifies the queries by their UIDs, which would be different for both these versions of queries.Following are the things you need to check:
1) In development system too, do you have 2 versions?
2) In production system, check the UID for both verions of the query
3) In Dev system, make sure you modify the query with UID which is being executed, if it is available there. Else, you need to replace the query in prod with the one you have in Dev system.
2 versions by same technical name can exist if:
1) Someone created a query directly in Prod, and transported a query by same technical name from Dev system
2) or due to system refresh, copy, etc.

Camera RAW changes not staying in Bridge/Photoshop

Hi all,
I've started having trouble with changes in Camera RAW not sticking once they're closed. I've got the XMP files, and Bridge shows the little icon to show it's been changed, but the changes aren't staying. I've tried clearing the cache, restarting the program and rebooting to no avail. To answer the preferred questions:
Photoshop CC, 14.2.1 64x
Totally updated
Windows 8.1 Pro
Nikon d800 RAW (NEF) files
No error messages
Making adjustments in Camera RAW (Photoshop) and then clicking 'done' when complete. This has always in the past saved the changes made until I make more, reset them, or delete the XMP file.
Always worked previously
Chrome, anti-virus. Never been an issue previously. Bridge usually runs at the same time.
Using a Microsoft Surface Pro, 4GB RAM, over 50GB free on the drive. No changes made to the system, since I let it run as-is. No updates to hardware, no brushes, no plugins.
Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for the reply, Trevor! I've been on this internets for a long while now, and the first thing i notice in forums are that people never seem to follow the posting guidelines and never seem to provide info that's needed to help them (see: many photog forums where people ask for lens/camera recs and never tell us budget, needs, current equipment, or what they actually WANT to photograph!), so I find it's expedient to actually provide necessary information! Gettng gold stars for well-thought out, thorough explanations: what a novel concept!
Incidentally, I think I just worked it out. I added my external drive to my desktop PC to see if there was a difference, then noticed the same issue occurring. I had a sudden thought that the preview thumbnail wasn't showing up, and realised that the option to choose preview settings ('generate 100% previews' or 'prefer embedded') will make the edits disappear if you also have the cache purged.

OVD 11.1.1.5 Schema Change Not Appearing in Adapter

I updated the schema in 11.1.1.5 of OVD. I need custom attributes/object classes available for database adapter mappings. The schema screen shows the attributes and object classes as does the schema.user.xml file. The schema.user.xml file is included in the schemas under Server Settings.
The problem is that when I go to select the object class for the attribute mappings in the database adapter, the new object classes don't appear. I rebooted OVD using opmnctl and the schema changes are still not an option to select in the dropdown menu.
Any suggestions for fixing this would be great.

Hi Hamm,
The fact that you are saying that "hfm text appears using hfm url" can mean that you have not configured the workspace web server after you configured the HFM. Have you done that?
As another test, have you tried toy connect to HFM via smartview to an existing app?

DNG image not appearing in Bridge CS6

When I open Bridge on my laptop I find that instead of images from the DNG files appearing, what I get are small icons having DNG and a camera iris. This happened after I reinstalled the CS6 program. (I managed to lose the icuuc40.dll file and received a message advising to reinstall the program).
I use my laptop when travelling. I download all files from the camera onto it and view them in Bridge. After returning home I transfer the files to the PC desktop for processing etc.. Bridge is working normally on the desktop.
Assistance in sorting matters will be greatly appreciated.

Metadata changes not showing in Bridge

I have added some metadata to some files in Lightroom (both keywords and some IPTC info like city, country, etc).
But when I look at the files in Bridge CS2, I don't see the changes.
Do I need to commit the cahnges somehow?

This problem seems to work in other way also:
If I edit RAW picture in lightroom, give it rating, flag and color label, they doesn't show in bridge. However, if I put keywords in Bridge _after_ editing image in lightroom, keywords never show up in LR.

Thumbnail Preview for RAW Files Not Appearing in Bridge

Hello,
I'm running Adobe Bridge 5.1 on a Mac OS 10.9.2 (recently upgraded to Maverick) and I can no longer see thumbnail previews for my RAW files (which include .NEF, .CR2 and .RAF) though as of a few days ago this wasn't a problem. Not sure if it's related to the Maverick upgrade... but FYI, I do see thumbnail previews for .TIFF and .JPEG files.
I've already purged my cache generally and have also as a test chosen a local file to purge - that didn't work.
I've restarted Bridge at least 2x by pressing and holding the Option key.
I've also checked for Bridge updates - everything is up to date.
My Cache Options (within Preferences) are set to "Keep 100% Previews in Cache" and "Automatically Export Cache to Folders When Possible" - both checked.
Also downloaded the Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter 8.3, installed it but that didn't work.
I can't seem to find my Bridge cache folder or at least what's in the Library's "Caches" folder doesn't include anything for Bridge - see screenshot below.

To me it seems related to your Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) converter. Clue inhere is you only miss the Raw files and have no problems in seeing other formats like jpeg and tiff.
The screenshot you delivered is from the wrong library, however, this same library (the one on system level) also is the location where you should be able to view the correct version of your ACR plugin. The path: library (same as per your screenshot)/Application support/ Adobe/ Plug ins/ CS6/ File Formats. inhere should be only one version of Camera Raw (called: "Camera Raw.plugin") and this should show version 8.3 (141).
I'm not sure about your bridge version number, Bridge 5 comes with PSCS6 but my most recent version of Bridge is 5.0.2.4.
Anyway, if you have only one ACR (8.3) installed in the above mentioned path then you might want to try to delete the Bridge plist file and Bridge cache file manually.
For this you have to Quit Bridge and find the user library (by default hidden, use menu Go in Finder and press option key to reveal).
Inhere find the plist file (user(your user name) / library / Preferences and inhere find and manually delete the file called: "com.adobe.bridge5.plist"
The in same user library find Bridge Cache. User/Library/Caches/Adobe/Bridge CS6. Inhere are 2 files, the adobe Bridge plug in cache and the folder called Cache. delete (or move outside libray) both items.
The restart Bridge (If needed also again hold option key to reset preferences) and this will create fresh files for the previous deleted items, leaving you with an almost out of the box factory set version of Bridge.

Changes not appearing in Design View

I am just starting out in DW5.5 and I have been using a good tutorial but I have run into some buggy behavior. For example I have inserted a CSS style rule but the changes I am making (e.g., box height, color) -- though they appear in the coding view and in the Properties panel -- are not showing up in Design View. I have tried saving, quitting and then restarting but that didn't work. The "refresh" button is grayed out.
Any ideas?

You are working in a Defined Site, right? Sites > Manage Sites > New Site >...
Have you saved your CSS and HTML files?

Updating Word templates in Content Types - changes not appearing automatically

Hello
I have a SharePoint site where I have existing content types all with MS Word templates assigned to them. I wish to change the Word template so it looks different.
I have saved my Word template as a .dot file and have edited my content type so it points to the updated template in the 'Advanced' area of the content type properties. When I look at my template via the 'Edit Template' in the 'advanced' area of the
content type it is fine (as it is when I look at the template file via explorer view) but when I create a new document based on the content type it is referring to the old template. Furthermore, I have renamed some of the content type names but they
have not updated either.
Any ideas? Is there a background process that runs to help with this?

Sorry, just re-visited this and i think i might have missed an obvious answer.
SharePoint tries to protect you from yourself.
That measn that it will not, in some cases, push changes down to lists. For example if you were to delete a column at the site level which is also in place on lists SharePoint won't delete it from the lists.
I'll bet that If you look at the content type at the library level it's showing the old details still.

Vendor Master Changes not appearing

Hi Gurus,
When I make changes to the vendor name and search field in XK02, it gets saved. However, when I come back to the same vendor in XK02 or XK03, the name and search field remains unchanged. However, I can see the change history indicating that the fields are in fact changed.
Could you please advise if there is any OSS notes

I do not see the need of OSS note. Please keep the cursor on the filed you changed then go to the changes to see the log.

404 (Page Not Found) Error! Changes not Appearing on webpage

Made changes in IWeb. However, these changes are not showing up on safari AND I am receiving a 404 (Page Not Found) Error! Help!! I have tried everything to resolve this

DPX files names don't not appear & can't import in setup

I'm using apple color ver1.5.3 and I've tried to import some DPX files the same method i've used in Color 1.0.......by searching them in the setup tab and drag them to the time line......
however....i can't import any DPX files in the 1.5.3 ver and all DPX files appear as .######.dpx...the only option i have is to fix the headers...but this won't solve my problem at all.....plz help me....
