Trigger OVS Value Help by pushing a button?

Hello Experts,
I need to open a OVS value help when a button is pressed instead of prushing F4 in a regular input field.
Is this possible?

you cant call a OVS search help in the button action ,
1. the instance attributes populated by system based on the context attribute which instantiate the OVS ,
2 .you cannot assig the ovs event to your button action method
3. if you try to call the OVS event handeler in your action method it will throw dump as
Parameter OVS_CALLBACK_OBJECT contains an invalid value
may be some expert can throw light if i am wrong ,

You have to be sure you are using the ZCI form type, but then it allows you to link the value help trigger within the adobe form to the Web Dynpro value help. The same functionality is simply not available in the older ACF form type.

OVS Value help with a preallocate value

Hi everybody,
i use a OVS Value Help whitch contains one field and a button for search.
Now i want to preallocate this field with a default value and execute the search automatically when the OVS View appears.
How can i do it?

Hi Sid,
You can set default value to the field in value help within the method applyInputValues() and within this method, call onQuery() method which contains the logic for fetching the search results. Please find below the sample code for applyInputValues():

what and how to use SVS, EVS, and OVS, Value Help and Search Help in abap webdynpro...Can anyone please give example link or document...As i am able to get on ovs but unable to get rest of other

SVS and EVS are Web Dynpro Java specific types of value help. They do not exist in Web Dynpro ABAP. In Web Dynpro ABAP we have Data Dictionary based Search Help, OVS, and Freely Programmed Value Help. In WDA 7.02 we have the slight variant on DDic Search Help called Suggest Values. It doesn't change the development model, just the runtime user experience.

Try resetting your phone, hold the home and sleep/wake button down until the apple symbol comes up, then release. If that doesnt work, you may have damaged your phone and need to take it to an apple genius bar.

No Toolbar buttons on OV page of serch result entity in Value Help PopUp

Hello Friends,
In Service Request, I am calling a value help search of CRM_KNOWART_S/KA SearchView for the field of assignment block "Related Knowledge Articles" (component GSDOCFLOW/HdrDocFlowEF ) . I am getting value help AND RESULTS ARE COMING.
Also, I am trying to call the overview page(CRM_KNOWART_H/KAGenDataFV) of results came to result list through a hyper link. I am able to navigate to Overview page of selected Knowledge Article. But I am NOT getting the TOOLBAR buttons which are already available in the Overviepage. Also, I can not see the Multi-select option in search result list of initial search result screen.
Note: Since the Overview page is handled by Standard component, All toolbar buttons are already made available which we can see in our display. In Debugging,We can see all required parameters of buttons are getting passed while doing our navigation to the Overview page.
I really appreciate any help from your end!!

When implementing the code below, it only reads the first form, and then stops there. It doesn't execute the 2nd form.

Value help buttons are missing

Hi experts,
I have something very weird going on in CRM 2007 webUI.
scenario :
When editing an account, you can also add an address in the address section, by pressing on the new button.
After this, a new page loads where you can fill in information for the new address such as street , city, country, region, ....
Now the weird thing is that the value help buttons in the country and region fields disappeared ...
I'm quite sure that they must be there ...
Anyone has a clue what may cause this ?
What's the piece of code that triggers the value help button , so I can try to debug and understand what is going on ? In which GET_ method should I look into (GET_I, GET_P, GET_V, GET_M, .... ) ?

Hi,
Check Get_P method of your field name. Here you can specify whether field is dorpdow or f4 or hyper link. You can also specify whether your field is radio button or check box.
Get_I is used to hide and unhide the field.
Get_m is for meta data
Get_V is for value help. Here you specify what values will be available in your field.
Get and set method you must be knowing.

Problem with OVS search help.. pls help..

Hi friends, I have a prblem with OVS component layout
can some tell me create another COPY button just under the search button on OVS.
Basically in my product search.. there is already an OVS component created.. in the Z component layout.. jus the result table is been designed. I dnt see any other UI elements availble in that layout. (like input field to accept vaules on OVS), .. so i was wondering how to create a new button.
this was developed by others;s so .. i m fighting with this and not able to get anything from sdn aswell.. pls help me.
And also when they enter values in input fields.. instead of clicking search.. they wanted to hit ENTER key on keyboard... and result shoud display.. how to achieve this..

Hi Niraja,
As how discussed in the email we can get this additional push button as how desired by enhancing the standard component WDR_OVS. Just click on the "Enhance" (spiral kind of button) button present in the application toolbar & create an Enhancement Implementation for the component. Now within this standard component you have the corresponding layout present in the SEARCH view. So go to this view & make the necessary changes. From now on what all components which declare a component usage of the WDR_OVS would be getting this newly modified UI & functionality.

Hide Toolbar and Value help drop downlist

Hi,
I created a IF with a Value help drop down list. I also make use of the Hide Toolbar options. The drop down list has an input like:
key - text (eg. 0001 - Holiday)
The pdfMode is "UpdateDataInPdf".
When i run my wd everything works fine. What i want to do is this: when the user push the button "next" i want to show the IF in a read-only mode. What i did, is that when the user push to button i change the PdfMode from "UpdateDateInPdf" to "GeneratePdf" (also tried "UsePdf") and change the "enabled" property to false.
What happens is, the Adobe toolbar is back and the value help dorp downlist shows the key instead of the text.
If i don't change the "enabled" property it works well, but than it's still possible to change data in the form.
I am using NW04 SP16.

in general, right now there is no standard (i.e. non-hack) way to make a physical interactive PDF form read-only.
The only sure way this would work in your process is to send the data back to the backend and have a second (practically identical) template ready in the background to generate a read-only version of what the user saw previously.

Value help for a custom field, ENTER press after selection wanted

Hi all gurus,
my requirement is quite simple; in an SRM 7 system, a value help (control table Z_V_EKORG) is associated to a custom (input) field, ZZ_EKORG.
By pressing the search button on it, some fixed values appears in a list but then, after the selection of a value, no refresh/badi is triggered.
To trigger a refresh (and passage thru CHANGE and CHECK BADIs) the user is forced to press the ENTER key on the inputfield.
I'm wondering if there's a way to automatically set an action/event (e.g. ENTER key pressed after input) to the selection from the list; I guess it should be a property of the selection for that value help, but I cannot find explicit information on how to do that.

F4 value help question

Hi,
because we don't have a submit button is there a way that after selecting a value help an event will be triggered so we can refresh the screen.
At the moment after the user had selected a value and the value is transfered to the input field he have to put the cursor into the input field und make an enter
to trigger the onEnter-event.
That's not comfortable and the user don't know that he has to do this. The screen should be refreshed automatically after selecting an value help.
Do somebody have any idea?

Write the code in Wddomodify but with a Condition and a counter.
Condtion : Your input field is not intial ( input field has some value ).
Counter : So that this code is fired only once and that too when ever you want.
Make an attribute Att in component controller.
Att = 'Y' by default.
For this write in WDdoinit of comp controller : wd_this->Att = 'Y'.
in Wddomodify :
If input_field is not initial and wd_comp_controller->Att = 'Y' .
<Run your code>
wd_comp_controller->Att = 'N'.
endif.

At selection-screen value- help

With the events for the field and input help, no data is transported between the selection screen and the ABAP program. As with general screens, suitable function modules must be used for these. The parameters and selection criteria changed for the input help are transported to the selection screen.

Besweet, I'm having the very same problem with 60GB colour which was bought new and worked for 6 months before suddenly just not being recognised by PC. I hadn't changed anything at all.
I've followed all troubleshooting advice and reinstalled and updated iTunes and iPod updater software but all troubleshooting routes seem to hit the dead end of either the need to access the iPod via the PC (which isn't possible as it's not showing up at all) or the iPod in disc mode stuck at "ok to disconnect".
It's still under 1yr warranty so will have to take to a dealer.
I'm sorry that's not much help for you but at least you know it's not a unique problem.
