Trigger T-Code Synchronously from WD4A

Hi All,
I have a requirment in which I have to trigger a transaction code from WD4A view synchronously.
After the transaction code is opened in another window the WD4A component should continue to listen if the transaction code window is closed.
e.g.. when a confirmation pop-up window is displayed in WD4A the control is gained by the pop-up window and user cannot perform any action on the parent or main window. And when the pop-up closes the parent window gets to know this. The parent view is again rendered.
In a similar way i have to trigger a transaction from WD4A.
The parent View/Window should be inactive till the transactional window is open and the parent window/view should listen when the transaction window is closed.
Please let me know how this can be done.
Can this be achieved by transactional i-View or any other method.

Thomas is right - I think always right :-).
However you might want to consider not holding both sessions (WDA and GUI) open.
You have not supplied enough detail but this concept may work.
1. You could launch a GUI (HTML or Windows) from your WDA.
If you want to do the Windows version, then you can attach a shortcut file to the frontend (ie like a PDF or pic file). Depending on SSO, Windows File Types (.sap), browser setting etc you can get the Windows GUI to open on the transaction you want. We have done this.
2. Then close the WDA window after opening the transaction (Exit Plug).
3. On closing the transaction, trigger the WDA again (maybe an exit on save or a wrapper for the transaction).
Saying all that, without further info, you might be needing to pass parameters into the WDA to manage the flow.
In addition; if searching etc was used up front, you may be needing to save these off before calling the transaction, then using them on the way back.
All this depends on how keen you are to manage this.
Personally, I would stick with Thomas's answer.

Labview code to trigger and scan spectra from HR4000 spectrometer?

has anyone used labview code to trigger and scan spectra from HR4000 spectrometer? When I use one of the device drivers (Spectral Acquisition.vi), i miss lots of trigger when I run it for more than 100 iterations?
I was wandering if anyone is working with it or had in the past and if you could share your insight.

Inconsistent times are one thing, overall slowing down is another, although they may have common source. I guess it is the XY plot in your case. Do you have it AutoScaled? If so, try turning autoscaling of both axes off.
Secondly, I don't quite understand the reason for the inner loop with number of iterations = constant 1. What happens if you remove the loop? I understand you want to change the number of iterations in future, but let's test the simplest things first. Removal will require indexing the Wavelength array explicitly with an apropriate block. By the way, it is customary that you EITHER define the number of iterations of a FOR loop by connecting the N input OR by indexing of an input array - NEVER both at the same time. Maybe, changing the multiple XY plot into a single XY plot won't be necessary, maybe it will, try for yourself.
Thirdly, I suggest you try enclosing the XY plot block alone in a case structure (say, in its TRUE window) and set the true condition to occur at some fraction of the total iterations, not every cycle. You do this using the index "i" of the main iteration loop, calculate modulo something (e.g. 10) and test if it is true or false. This way you update the XY plot every 10th iteration only and by choosing different modulo divider you can test, if the plot's display is or isn't the beast slowing things down.
Finally, I suspect it is not necessary to use a Local Variable of the seconds 2 indicator. How about simply wiring the output of your To-double block to the input of the subtraction block? That should let you remove seconds 2 local variable with no harm done.

Create Trigger to insert records from one table to another

I created the below trigger to move data from one table to another after records have been inserted from another table to that table. What I need done is that each time records have been inserted into TEST_TBL, one of these actions codes should be implimented: U-update, N-insert, D-delete and inserted into TEST_TBL1. But each time I run the script, I get bunch of errors. Please see the script below: - Your help will be appreciated.

I am trying to use the relatively new Code First from Database with the newest EF (6.x) and on an Oracle database (11g, but I have installed the newest ODTwithODAC). First of all, it works fine as long as the connection string is inside the App.Config file. But when I try to build it dynamically in the C# code (or rather, statically at the moment) it fails. I have it working with a dynamically built connection string when doing Model from Database though, so I'm at a loss right now.
First, I have created a second constructor for the context class that takes a string and does base(connectionString). Then I build the connection string via
OracleConnectionStringBuilder oracleBuilder = new OracleConnectionStringBuilder();
oracleBuilder.DataSource = "TEST.BLA.COM";
oracleBuilder.UserID = "ABC";
oracleBuilder.Password = "abc";

Now trying to open an EntityConnection by giving to it this provider-specific connection string (or even the static one from the App.Config) doesn't work; I get "keyword not supported: user id"). Trying it by creating a context and giving this connection string doesn't work either. I'm pretty sure that this is because I didn't specify the provider to use; after all, it should use the Oracle.ManagedDataAccess.Client provider and not an SQL Server based one.
I then tried to get around this by using an EntityConnectionStringBuilder on top and specifying the provider keyword there, but then I get "keyword not supported: provider" when using it in the context constructor, and "the 'metadata' keyword is always required" when using it with the EntityConnection constructor.
As I said above: I bet it's the provider that I have to specify somehow, but I don't know how. The code that does work is the following:

Hi All,
Upon investigation found that there was no space (0 Byte is available) in E drive where underlying SQL DB is residing.
Once I cleared the space, report started working and above error was not displaying.

When I run the report on production I got the following error message:

It hasn’t happen on Dev and Test before.
I googled, The error is described as:
12019 ERROR_INTERNET_INCORRECT_HANDLE_STATE
The requested operation cannot be carried out because the

But I cannot find the solution for that.
Has it happend to you before? How to solve that?

How to determine the error code, returned from LDAP server

I was just working on using openldap, binding to it and checking for expired passwords and locked accounts and it looks like that an AuthenticationException is thrown in these circumstances and the ctx is null so it is not possible process connection response controls. But you can look at operation attributes if you have password policy enabled and you are looking for these type of errors

the right base code(material) for the production order '68647' is 100827 descriotion 'PIPE BASIC' .
my requirement is i have an production order and relevent plant, how do i get a basecode ?
from my previous finding i read that All BOMs will have are associated with the description.
Targeting this description will always return the right base code for the order.
but i did not get any idea out of it.
Please tell me how do i get a Base code (Material) from a description through BOM?

Hi Keven,
I had a look at the example "programmaticbuild2.vi" that you can find at this link:
in this application the error that eventually comes out from the "BuildTargetBuildSpecification.vi" is written in the error_log.txt through a case structure.
You can change the code inside the Error case if you want to handle the error in a different way. For example you could connect the error wire to a General Error Handler, that displays a message if an error occurs, or you could light up a led that inform you the error has occurred.
