How to click on linkbuttons in the rows of a data grid

I'm trying to write automation test cases for a flex application using Flex Selenium.
The flex selenium API provides only 2 click events: click(String objectId) and click(String objectId, String optionalButtonLabel)
There are no click events for rows or columns for a data grid.
The application has a DataGrid with 2 linkbuttons in a column for each row (besides other columns).
The linkbuttons have an id. But clicking it only clicks the one in the first row.
Now, I have to perform these tasks:
- Click on the link buttons in any row
- Click on any row
- Click on column header to sort
How can I accomplish these?

I am trying it but it doesn't work. I started to run the query for a while but it is still running and there is no result for it. I still see the variable popup I filled after the first running of the query.

Hi Kumar,
Row height it predefined and you won't change it, but you can adjust column width.
For that use field COL_OPT of layout structure ( type LVC_SLAYO ) to optimize all columns width, or set explicit width using field catalog, setting field OUTPUTLEN for certain column.

How to hide or filter out the row at break subtotal level

Hi All,
Need to know how to hide or filter out a row at break subtotal level.
My Requirement is to sum up the first 20 business days total as Month total.
This is a cross tab report, with Dates going from top to bottom, Securities going from left to right and Amount as the intersection of this two dimensions.
So I have created a variables like this below
RunningCount of Mtr Dt=ToNumber(RunningCount([Query 1].[Intrader Acct Mtrty Dt]))
and
MonthBreak=If [RunningCount of Mtr Dt] Between (1;20) Then 1 else 2
Inserted this "MonthBreak" variable into the crosstab so it will give me each rowcount, then applied the break on this variable, so it split the first 20 rows and the rest of the remaining rows.
Then applied Sum on the Amount column so it will add up the first 20 rows and then the remaining rows. Now I want to display only the subtotal row of the first 20rows and hide/filter the row subtotal line for remaining row numbers greater than 21.
Did tried to do some thing using the alterers but no luck.
Please help me fix this

When I apply
=If ([MonthBreak] = 1) then Sum(Amount) else 0
in the subtotal row, then nothing is changed.
And one other thing I noticed is when we apply break on a column it footer should be same as the break value right. But here in my report the break footer is displaying 1 for both the cases for first 20 rows break and the rest from 21st rows.
That is when I place MonthBreak variable in the table.. which has values 1(for row 1 through 20) and 2 (for rows 21 to end of the report) then apply break on this MonthBreak column, its footer value are same for both the cases which is displaying as 1
Do you know why this happens and to your information this is a cross tab report I am working on....

How to avoid blinking / moving of rows in a data grid when you restore the scroll positions

By Default when an update is made on a data grid, it scrolls to top row. To avoid this when we save the vertical and horizontal scroll
positions and restore the scroll positions after the update, it causes a blink in the grid (or moving / jumping) of rows. Is there a way to
avoid this jumping of rows?
In JavaScript this can be achieved by overriding the scrollToTop / OnLoad methods of datagrid to directly scroll to current scroll
positions instead of top row. Is there a way to achieve similar feature in flex / actionscript?

I am calling validateNow().. Also, using verticalScrollPosition to restore the scroller as in the link that you posted.. Reposition is working fine, But the bug filed is regarding BLINKING / JUMPING when this happens (i.e. this blinking is caused because after datagrid edit, during reload the scroller tries to move to the top by default, then it repositions itself to current edited row as the verticalScrollPosition property is overridden ).. I have to get rid of this blinking.
In Javascript it is dealt by overriding OnLoad method of datagrid to directly scroll to current scroll position instead of top row during reload so that there is no blinking.

Sending the rows in an ALV grid chosen by the user to another report

Hello Experts!
I am facing a problem with respect to ALV grid using OOABAP.
I am displaying an ALV grid. The user selects a few rows from this grid and clicks on a button called "Update" which i have incorporated into the grid.
Once the user clicks on update, i should call another report passing only the rows selected by the user. I am using the method "get_selected_rows" do get the indices of the rows selected. But, i am unable to proceed from here. How do i incorporate this logic in my code? Can anyone give me some sample code?

Get the rows of the ALV into an internal table . You are right in using the method GET_SELECTED_ROWS.
Suppose li_tab is the internal table in which you have the rows of ALV.
Write this statement in the report from which you are transporting.
EXPORT li_tab TO MEMORY ID sy-repid.
Write this statement in the report to which you are transporting.
IMPORT sel_tab = li_tab FROM MEMORY ID 'Z_Report_Name'.

How to edit PSA and continue the load with corrected data from PSA.

Can you guide me on how to edit data in PSA and then continue a load?
i.e. if you can provide me with the steps on how to fix a load problem if a load fails. The load fails and Monitor shows red, so how do I fix them in the PSA and then allow the load continue with the corrected data into the data target.

First select that request then turn to Red and delete the Request , delete the qeruest then system allow to edit the psa data ,selete psa then selet packet then selet record double click modify the data, dont forget after completing save the data. after competing modification then select psa right click select- start update immediatly......

How to spilt columns dynamically in the report based on Date Parameters

Hi All,
We have an XML Publisher report in which the parameters are Fom date and To date.
User wants the data in the report to be split dynamically based on the months in the From date and To date interval.
Eg. if the From date is 01-JAN-2013 and To date is '31-MAR-2013' then the report should show 3 columns JAN,FEB and MAR and the corresponding data.
if the From date is 01-JAN-2013 and To date is '31-MAY-2013' then the report should show 5 columns JAN,FEB,MAR,APR and MAY and the corresponding data.
Can anyone please advise, how can we spilt the months and data dynamically in the report.

well you wanted the columns to be added dynamically. the easiest way would be to use a Pivot since the columns are based on the values in the data. and if the values of that column are Month Name/Abbreviation for that date then you will get month columns.

Ah! the delights of advanced data grid!

I have a xml hierarchical advanced data grid.
Is there a way to disable the folderIcons for the advanceddatagrid?
Or is there a way to integrate the folderIcon actions to selected row actions?
Right now, I have a listener for itemOpen. When one folder opens, then another one will close. However, when the user clicks on the folderIcon....it does not do this. I do not know how to access the expandeditem of the advanceddatagrid.

That is a great idea...except I am using the selectRow to use these same events.
It seems what I need is access to the same selectedItem.
When I click on the row, I pass through _selectedItem from the event function.
However, it is a little bit more complicated for the drop down buttons.
I try to get the same format with this:

but I get an [object][object]

But I want the last column to remove the affection that the whole row is selected when I click last column cell.

You could set the AutogenerateColumns property to false, define all columns in the XAML markup explicitly and then specify a CellTemplate for the last column and handle its MouseLeftButtonDown event to change the SelectionUnit property of the DataGrid. Here

How can I make Numbers respect the row and column locks in an Excel workbook opened in Numbers???

I have a Windows server app that generates Excel workbooks to be emailed to political campaign volunteers to be loaded into Numbers on an iPad, edited, then emailed back to be posted to the server database. There are two problems encountered:
1. The Excel workbook has the first row (column headings) and first column (route identifier) of cells locked, so that they will not scroll off the screen, but Numbers doesn't respect the locks, so when the user scrolls horizontally or vertically, the column headings and/or the route identifier scroll off the screen.
2. The Excel workbook has pop-up "tool-tip" type comments in certain column headings in order to provide the user with the acceptable entries for those columns, but Numbers does not respect those. When the user touches any of the commented column heading cells, a context menu appears instead of the comment.
What must I do in the Excel workbook sheets, or what settings can be made in Numbers to correct the above?

I imported a Numbers '09 file into Numbers on the iPad. All comments were removed during import. Frozen header row and column were retained.
Thank you for your responses I must ask, however, when you refer to "importing" the Excel file, are you referring to a two step process whereby the Excel file is first converted by some other process into Numbers format, then opened in the Numbers application - which is what I have to do in my PC application to generate the Excel file, and reverse that process to convert the Excel back into my database format - or are you simply referring to opening the file in Numbers as "importing" it? And please excuse any ignorance, as I'm not at all familiar with Apple's terminologies. In fact, I don't own an iPad myself, but rather I have to depend on one of my clients to do the testing for me.
I imported an XLSX file into Numbers on the iPad. The file used "freeze panes" to "freeze" the first column and row. Only warning on import was that it changed fonts. It imported without the first row and column frozen and with no comments. Nothing I can do about the missing comments but it was a simple matter to turn the first column & row into headers and freeze them.
Unfortunately this would not be an efficient solution, since the end users are, for the most part, elderly political campaign volunteers who are fairly computer illiterate. These workbooks are actually canvassing lists - known as walklists. Their purpose is for the volunteers to interview voters, record the results of the interviews, and post the results to a database, which provides the campaigns with valuable strategizing capabilities. Also, these workbooks have multiple pages - as many as 10 or more. and from what I infer from the above, the setting changes would have to be made on each page.
My whole intent in developing this iPad/Tablet methodology was to significantly reduce volunteer's work - which is a recruitment benefit - and eliminate paper. While the latter would be accomplished, the former would not, and in fact would tend to increase it. It's necessary to keep the first row - column headings - and the first column - the route identifier - from scrolling off the page, so that the volunteer won't have to keep scrolling up and down and right and left to know what the data are.
Conclusion: Comments are not supported on the iPad version of Numbers. Frozen headers are not imported from Excel but can be recreated easily.
I was previously directed to the Apple website http://www.apple.com/ipad/from-the-app-store/apps-by-apple/numbers.html which extols the wonders of the Numbers application. About halfway down the page there's a section regarding, "Sliders steppers and pop-ups". The web page states that pop-ups can be set up but, being a marketing site, gives no indication whatsoever as to how it's done. I was hoping someone could tell my if there's any way to carry them over from an Excel file.

How to update UDF based upon the row level dimensions.

I have made 4 new udf at Sales Order. Its displaying at Righthand side under General Category.
Now at row level im entering item detail, and other things with 4 profit center vaues.
So i want that if i enter value in those 4 proft center in row level then it should automatically update those 4 udf with that value.
It always happen in Add mode of SO, if SO open in update mode then i can update those udf with other values also, which can be differ then row level profit center values.
If we need to create any trigger or any query for that, then guide me for that.
