  • Essbase Trigger for SS Lock and Send

    Hi,
    I need to create a Trigger using EAS for any Lock and Send activity through Spreadsheet Add-In. Please guide me in developing the script, I can't figure out what to put in the Where and When condition in the Trigger window. Can't find any example on net.
    Thanks,
    Ash

    ok, I stand corrected. You can use a on-update trigger to capture changes. Thinking about it, you would have to create a where and when clause that would always return true. Like
    Where [scenario].currentmember
    when [scenario].currentmember <> [scenario].currentmember + 1
    I would suspect you would wnat to use the logging for this not send an email. This will spool the before and after values. I have not tried it, but I don't think it captures the information on who did it. that is why I would go the ssaudit route. In 11.1.1 you have transaction logging.

  • Bypassing SOA MANAGER , Consume a stateless Webservice and send Zip file

    Hello,
    I have question around consuming web service via ABAP program.The scenario is consume a operation of a web-service and get the information, based on this information put the data in flat files and send it back in another operation of this web-service. Due to way web-service is implemented I cannot generate proxy class and use SOA manager the reason is web-service is using complex data type
    1) Is it possible to consume a web-service via ABAP program directly
    I have explored the SAP documentation and came up with this link
    Appendix C - SOAP Runtime for the SAP Web AS - SAP Library
    Few  Links I found are
    Manual HTTP POST from ABAP
    WebService 4.7 / WAS 620 XSTRING BASE 64
    Using any of the above approaches can  SAP program consume a web-service bypassing the SOA manager & send the zipped files in one of the operations.
    Thank you

    Appreciate if some one can answer the question above

  • Trigger changes to T000 and send an e-mail

    Dear all,
       I've enabled the table logging for our R/3 system (ECC 6.0 EHP6), activating the rec/client paramenter for the productive client; because I need to monitor the changes to T000 table.
    Is there a way with "standard" components (I don't want to write any ABAP program) to define a workflow that "triggers" the "change event" and sends an e-mail to an external address?
    Thanks,
    Claudio

    Hi Claudio
    You can try the event approach mentioned here:

  • SAP R3 custom extract - trigger XI to map and send to Mainframe

    Hello, I'm looking for the best way to occasionaly send table data (as decided by business user via custom transaction) from R3 business system to XI and eventually on to Mainframe. I'm OK with this latter portion of XI mapping, JMS / MQ config, and then on to Mainframe.
    Here is my question. Our ABAP developer can create a BAPI to lookup the Ztable extract data for us in the R3 system. In this way, I would like to have it pushed from SAP rather than setting a polling interval because the extract will happen on a irregular basis. But to my understanding a BAPI is to be called / pulled rather than pushed. How can we best accomplish a push from R3? We are accustomed to using IDOCS but in this case it is completely custom.
    I appreciate your experiences on what is the best method to use in this scenario.
    Thanks in advance,
    Aaron

    Hi, thank you for the ideas.
    Our ABAP programmer is willing to try it using the RFC approach but we are unclear on how to do this. I would be grateful for some more information such as:
    Does anyone have a simple example?
    When we use the RFC Channel as a Sender, are the RFC Server Parameters pertaining to the ERP system or the XI system?
    How does the ABAP program on ERP system actually send data to XI?
    Do we need to set up any special ports to do this?
    Thank you for your help,
    Aaron

  • Batch procedure in Forms 10g, calling rdf and send by mail

    Hi all,
    I need your advice regarding my task: i have a table with invoices of some clients. I have created a report in Oracle Reports 10g R2, so to have a pdf with all the data from this table.
    I have created a form in Forms 10g R2, displaying in a screen one field, where the user can choose the date of invoice. Then i will query by that date all my invoices in that table, and then i want to create a procedure in Forms, so that for every line in that table with the invoice date just chosen i will run HOST(rwrun ... all my parameters).
    My questions:
    1. I need to read some more about how to create a custom xml so to pass to my rwrun, and depending on the records fetched in my cursors in Forms 10g, i will pass a xml variable to my reports, so i will get the data from Forms 10g in the report created in Oracle Reports 10g. Is there any way that i can grep the errors? I need to create some insertions based on succes on failure, how can i accomplish this?
    2. Is the above described scenario way to complicated to loop throuh a cursor, create a pdf, and mail the pdf until the cursor is totally fetched? Do you recommend me a simpler way to accomplish this task?
    Thank you so much,
    Michael.

    Hello,
    I have a report with all my clients, with their email addresses in the same report. Each client as unique account number or invoice number.
    So i want to burst and distribute each invoice to the corresponding client:
    1. I have set REPEAT ON: INVOICE in oracle reports.
    2. From Oracle Reports, i click on Distribution list, and in the DESNAME i type email_address (which is the column from the table with the invoices).
    3. Then, File >> Distribute. Says: distribution completed succesfully, but nothing happens.
    Question:
    1. Where am i mistaking?
    2. Is there any log activity file that i could see what the application is doing, step by step?
    Thank you,
    Michael

  • Text in Textfield to Uppercase and Send Value to Another Textfield

    Hi Everyone,
    I have used the Denes Kubicek example http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=31517:113:425753199246065::NO. I have managed to replicate this in my application but i have a small problem.
    i want the value of the text area to be sent to another textarea, like the example shows, but i also need the textarea where the end user inputs the value to be changed to uppercase aswell.
    There is an example of the exact thing i want on this example page (third text field down) but i can not combine the two into just ont text area.
    Does anyone know how i could do this?

  • Calling webservice in udf for inserting data into webservice

    Dear Experts,
          Please give me the drawbacks of using lookup function for inserting data. we are calling a webservice from the udf for inserting the data using a webservice.
    It is a file to jdbc usnig a soap lookup . we use this approach because we need to pass the response from webservice along with the error data to the jdbc.   is there any other way to do it without using bpm ?
        In the udf we are creating the xml structure for webservice and passing the parameters through arguments.
    is there a better approach for this ?
    Thanks,
    Aju

    Hi Aju,
    You can do it without BPM.
    Write UDF for Soap Lookup. Parse the response message from Webservice.  and map the required values to respective fields.
    See the weblog
    Webservice Calls From a User Defined Function.
    Negative point of this solution is that it will take some time to call Webservice and get response back from it.

  • Call a webservice and get back a value within an ESB...

    Hi!
    I'd like to call a webservice and get back a value from it within an ESB. But I don't know how.
    I think, I must create a routing service, then a SOAP service, but how can I get back the value from the webservice, which I called in the SOAP service?
    Or it is not possible to realize this within an ESB?
    Thank You very much!
    Viktor

    When you take a look at the Soa Orderbooking example you can see how it works. You create a webservice that accepts certain parameters and these are bundled into an object. This object, in case of the Soa Orderbooking example a 'PurchaseOrder', is described using an Xml Schema. The XML Schema is used to create the ESB with. Using this xsd the ESB knows which object it can expect and this object can be used inside your ESB or inside a bpel process.

  • How to have an Oracle procedure send and receive value from a java program.

    The below procedure is place inside a package. This procedure "get_extract_ready_headers " is selecting columns store_number, terminal_number, tran_number, tran_date, cust_id from the source REX_HEAD_EXTRACT table. This information is selected into a ref cursor. The data has cust_id field which is encrypted. How do I modify the procedure get_extract_ready_headers and accomplish 2 things?
    1. Make this procedure to read the "cust_id" value from the source table and send the value to a Java program "getheaderinfo" (this java program decrypts the cust_id field).
    2. When we get the unencrypted value back from the Java program, make the procedure accept this decrypted value and use it to update CUST_ID value in the target table TRAN_HEAD table. I am using Oracle 11.2.0.2, and TOAD 10.5.1.3.

    Assuming that SomeJavePgm is a Java stored function (not a Java program running outside the database) and that it takes as a parameter whatever data type CUST_ID is in TABLE_A (hopefully RAW but potentially VARCHAR2) and returns a string, you would call it just as you would a PL/SQL stored function
    INSERT INTO table_b( cust_id, <<other columns>> )
      SELECT SomeJavaPgm( a.cust_id ), <<other columns>>
        FROM table_a aIf SomeJavePgm is not a Java stored procedure, calling it from PL/SQL becomes much more complicated. You would need whatever machine hosts this program to expose an appropriate API (for example, a web service interface) that you could invoke via UTL_HTTP). You'd need to tell us what that API was, however.

  • Getting the original values in table maintenance and the new one and send t

    Hello experts,
    In table maintenance, I need to capture the original values in that selected column/field and
    also the new one and send it to email. For example, I have a field in my z table named zaddress and whenever
    the user changes the contents of that selected row I need to get/fecth the original value and the new and send it to email.
    So the email will be something like this:
    Dear Admin,
    Changes were made to ztable. Here are the changes:
    Customer : Customer 1
    Order no : 1
    Original Address : example address A
    New Address : example address B
    NOTE: Do not reply to this email.
    Again, thank you guys and have a nice day!

    Hi Vijay,
    <b>1</b>.
    If u r using Modulepool programming to change the field contents ,u just capture field value into one  variable .This is possible in <b>PBO</b>.before displaying .once u change the field value and press something ,now capture changed value in another variable .This is possible in <b>PAI</b>.After pressing something to modify Database.
    I think u can get one idea after reading this .
    <b>2</b>.
    For sending mail it is not a problem.

  • When i click the listview items I have to call two odata webservice and pass that data to next screen ?

    Hi All,
                I Have two odata webservices When i click the listview items I have to call that two odata webservice and pass that data to next screen ?

    You don't have to pass the data to any page.
    onInit method of controller set your oData model like this.
                  onInit: function() {
                  //var oModel = sap.ui.model.json.JSONModel();
                  var oModel = sap.ui.model.json.JSONModel("http://services.odata.org/V3/Northwind/Northwind.svc/Customers?$format=json");
                  sap.ui.getCore().setModel(oModel,"oDataId");
    After this you can access your model from any views by just binding the elements with your odata. Suppose i have a table in a view of my application then i can write like this.
                  var oTable = sap.ui.table.Table({
                         tableId: "myTable",
                         visibleRowCount: 5,
                         editable: false
                  oControl = new sap.ui.commons.TextView({text: "{CustomerID}"});
                  oTable.addColumn(
                               new sap.ui.table.Column({
                               label: new sap.ui.commons.Label({text: "Customer ID"}),
                               visible:true,
                               template: oControl
                  oControl = new sap.ui.commons.TextView({text: "{ContactName}"});
                  oTable.addColumn(
                               new sap.ui.table.Column({
                               label: new sap.ui.commons.Label({text: "Contact Name"}),
                               visible:true,
                               template: oControl
                  oControl = new sap.ui.commons.TextView({text: "{ContactTitle}"});
                  oTable.addColumn(
                               new sap.ui.table.Column({
                               label: new sap.ui.commons.Label({text: "Contact Title"}),
                               visible:true,
                               template: oControl
                  oControl = new sap.ui.commons.TextView({text: "{CompanyName}"});
                  oTable.addColumn(
                               new sap.ui.table.Column({
                               label: new sap.ui.commons.Label({text: "Company Name"}),
                               visible:true,
                               template: oControl
                  oTable.bindRows("oDataId>/value");
    Here you can see i have binded the oData with table.
    Just what i am seeing that you are trying to pass this model to a page. You don't have to do so. Just bind your oData with relevant elements lite table or anything by writing like this.
    oTable.bindRows("oDataId>/value");
    these functions are different for different elements.
    for listItem you may write like this.
                  var oList = new sap.m.List({
                  inset: true,
                  items : [
                                        new sap.m.DisplayListItem({ label :"Category ID", value : "{oDataId>/CategoryID}"}),
    {oDataId>/CategoryID} this has been used for binding.
