Trigger validation error upon ajax result?

I'm trying to figure out a way to trigger spry validation
error to prevent submit when the ajax lookup (my custom built, not
spry related) returns a flag telling userid or email already exists
in the database. If I add onSubmit even to the form tag, it'd
override spry on submit event listener. My only option is to try to
tap into spry validation to trigger its own error instead. There's
a spry custom validation that can call a js function but it expects
a true/false upfront whereas the ajax call requires some wait time
and calls another process handler to handle the returned
result.

I am pretty certain that the local proxy (which was in place) is being bypassed for all calls and the box has direct unfiltered access to the internet.
This is also clarified as in any browser I can go to any site http/https, regardless of if 'automatic detect proxy settings' field is turned on or off. I can also get to certain websites on this network that would normally be blocked which also makes
me think that the proxy is off.
Further to this, the App Store applications are actually available to view/search in SharePoint. The error above though only occurs only an App has been download and is about to be added as a web part on a page (after the prompt to Trust
the app has been selected). This to me indicates that it is finding the store ok but having certificate problems.
The first error that I get in the log appears the most suspicious but no idea what could cause this:
RevocationStatusUnknown: The revocation
function was unable to check revocation for the certificate.
OfflineRevocation: The revocation
function was unable to check revocation because the revocation server was offline
Is the revocation server a local service? If this is a proxy problem what Application/Service is calling this check? Does this access the revocation service via a specific port?
Thanks for your help.

  • Validation Error after updating a SelectOneMenu via Ajax (DWR)

    I have a <t:selectOneMenu> that is bound to a backing bean together with a <f:selectItems> that is bound to a SelectItems[] attribute in the same backing bean. See below:
    <t:selectOneMenu forceId="true"
    id="department"
    value="#{DeptBean.departmentId}">
    <f:selectItems value="#{DeptBean.departmentList}" />
    </t:selectOneMenu>
    When the user changes another field on my page, I use DWR to retrieve a new list of departments and update the <t:selectOneMenu> accordingly. That works just fine.
    The problem is that if I select a value from the updated department list and then submit the page I get a "Validation Error".
    I suspect that the JSF Component Tree still has the old list of values and does some validation which obviously fails.
    Has anyone dealt with this before? Any ideas would be appreciated!

    <t:selectOneMenu forceId="true"
    id="department"
    value="#{DeptBean.departmentId}">
    <f:selectItems value="#{DeptBean.departmentList}"
    />
    </t:selectOneMenu>What is the type of departmentId ? If it is not a String, then try making it a String and see if the issue is resolved. I am not sure if this will help you. But its worth a try.

  • How to trigger onerror of f:ajax inside a h:commandButton?

    hi, how to trigger onerror of f:ajax inside a h:commandButton from it's action method?

    Basic idea of commandbutton is to send form data to server, basic idea of ajax is to update part of page. Hopefully your example is very generic or just a test, otherwise using ajax in your example makes no sense.No. AJAX - Asynchonous Javascript and XML. Key word: asynchronous.
    The basic idea behind Ajax is to make a request to the server asynchronous. Its purpose, even in JSF, is not to update part of a page, that may be a result of doing the request asynchronous. It is perfectly valid to want to do an ajax call from a button, it depends on what requirements you have and nothing else.

  • Validation Errors with new Install of W7 x64 Ent Debug Checker On New Equipment

    I am receiving multiple Errors. I am trying to use the Windows 7 x64 Enterprise which happens to be the Debug Checker version OS as the host machine.  I have only built the machine, and tried to load the Drivers.
    I say this due to the starting issue that upon the loading of the entire driver set, (for the MB, Seagate Harddrive, and Vid Card), I would get the BSOD.  I identified that the Bluetooth driver was the issue.  I then did not load the Bluetooth
    drivers for the MB on the 5th or so install of the 7 Ent os.  (Tried Server 2k8 r2. Which is not compatible with the MB Drivers.)
    I have not received a single Update either.  The Auto update feature claims that I am up to date.  I do not believe this due to the fact that any fresh Install of any OS has about several decades of updates and reboots to go through.
    Upon trying the suggestions on the forum about turning off the IE Addons, the errors remain.  Also the results of the sfc /scannow are copied below.
    My Questions
    I am seeking assistance on solving the Errors that have refused to leave me alone , to put it humorously and am asking for your insight and wisdom.  Will you take a look??
    Do I need to go to Win 7 Ent or Ult x64 that is not a Debug Checker version.
    Are there other Microsoft download Registery file checkers besides the MGA Diag tool that are freeware that I can use to check, for corrupted registry files.
    Or do I just need to take it to the stores (Fry’s and Microcenter) that recommended the equipment and have them just reload the software and allow them the headache of solving the error issue, by paying them to install the drivers and have ALL of the
    drivers work. (including the blue tooth)
    The Goal is to turn it into a Active Directory Server using Virtual Box with Server 2k8 R2 running in the virtual box environment.
    Errors and Results.
    There are also a number of logs that show various Crit, Error, and Warning logs.  I will include those if need be.
    This is the majority of the error messages, and I have missed the opportunity to capture others.

  • BPM Problem: Schema validation error notification

    Hello all,
    When a schema validation error takes place upon receiving XML messages via HTTP, is there something that can be set up in BPM to notify data owners? (either alert or email)
    Regards,
    Steve

    Bhavesh,
    <i>When you mean source schema validation, does it imply that you want to validate your Source XML before graphical mapping to make sure it meets the Source XML Schema?</i>
    validate my Source XML
    <i>As you pointed out you are usinga BPM, you can wrap the Transfromation step with a Exception handling block, so when there is a mismatch of Source schema and ite actual message the exception handler will be invoked and in the exception handler you can trigger alerts using the control step.</i>
    I'm using an outbound interface (outside BPM) to call the abstract interface (very first step in BPM), and there's a tranformation step after that.
    -If the Source schema is wrong, will the error take place at the outbound interface or at the transformation step?  If outside at the outbound interface, i wouldn't be able to wrap anything around it.
    -Exception handling block means the BLOCK step?
    Regards,
    Steve

  • Validation errors in invoke application phase

    Hi,
    Is it possible to some how cause validation errors in the invoke application phase?
    I have a search form which uses a request scope managed bean. When the normal validations (one required field and another custom validator) fail in the validations phase, the form is redisplayed with errors and the user can hit submit again and the form will do as expected.
    I would also like to cause this behaviour if there where no search results, or more than the maximum, but as the bean is in request scope, when the form is redisplayed with these error messages if the user hits submit again the form is simply reloaded with the same values but no errors and the invoke application phase is never reached. They have to then hit submit again for it to work.
    Upon either of these errors I add a faces message to the context which gets displayed properly, but that doesn't seem to suggest validation error so request is still ended. I though by setting one of the components to invalid (by binding it to the managed bean) it would work but no joy.
    Any ideas how I can achieve this?
    Thanks!

    Hi I am also facing the issue. If any one got the solutoin for this please post it
    Thanks
    Kaal

    Server 2003 Standard 32-Bit SP2 (also tried in Enterprise)
    Application Server:
    WebLogic Server 9.2 Custom Installation (with Add-Ins)
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/htdocs/wls_main.html
    Database:
    Oracle 10gR2 (Standard Installation per step-by-step guide from Oracle)

    EMP Architect
    Financial Management, Planning, Financial Reporting and Web Analysis (primarily interested in FM)
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/bi/performance-management/index.html
    The following are the sequences of steps carried out during the Installation and Configuration of EPM:
    1)     Installed the Server along with its respective SP2 – Shutdown the machine
    2)     Assigned IP and DNS addresses
    3)     Installed Window components by ticking Application Server Console, Enable COM+ access, IIS and DNS
    4)     Run “dcpromo” to create a Domain Controller with default values and assigned a domain name – Shutdown the machine
    5)     Installed Weblogic Server 9.2 and configure it using Configuration Wizard – Selected “test environment” and ticked default “listening port” – Shutdown the machine
    6)     Basic installation of Oracle Database 10gR2 using Step-by-Step guide provided by Oracle and carried out Password Management steps. After installation, I then created a user “oracle” and assigned it to ora_dba User Group with the required Local Security Policies – “log on as a batch job” and “Act as part of operating system”
    7)     Logged into database and acknowledge the licensing window – Shutdown the machine
    8)     Restarted the machine and checked all relevant and newly installed Database and WebLogic services are running.
    9)     Started Installing EPM components by double clicking “InstallTool.cmd” and selected all relevant components at ONCE as per Installation Guide – Result: - All selected EPM components were successfully installed without errors or exceptions
    10)     At the end of installation window, I carried out the configuration in the following scearios:
    Scenario 1: Configuration all at Default settings
    Scenario 2: Configuration all, except “Application Server” I selected the WebLogic9.2
    Scenario 3: Configuration all, except “Application Server” and “Workspace Web Server” were being Welogic9.2 and IIS HTTP
    RESULT: After all numerous installations, all came down to ONE ERROR from “Diagnostic Report” stating the following:
    Financial Management:

    Error: Error message: <03/11/2010 05:32:26 PM> CreateApplicationCAS... Failed at line: 2
    Recommended Action: Make sure HAT utility is working. 1 s
    I then simply ignored this error and tried to deploy an Application, all worked fine until you get to the point at “Job Console” where you need to press “Refresh” button. Progress remained at 12% until it got timedout after 300 seconds and force attempt of refreshing resulting in “aborted” job with the following error:

    This is, I believe preventing me from deploying Consolidation Apps, including Sample Application provided with EPM Downloads. I have tried installing and configuring by components. All failed with the same outcome.
    I have been working on this effortlessly in different combinations to get at least one Financial Management Application get deployed so I could enhance my learning adventure. As it stands, I am not sure where to get help and completely lost in the World of Oracle. I am also come to wonder whether “Free Downloads of EPM” are indeed, is “complete and is in working-state” or do I need a licence to use for personal learning experience? Are there different downloads for different needs or/users For example, eDelivery downloads are different from OTN Agreement downloads?
    I have downloaded the files from following URL:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/bi/performance-management/index.html
    I am completely lost and all services are up and running and not sure what I am missing!! Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
    Many Thanks

    Hi,
    Based on the description, you got warnings when you tried to click the mailbox delegation option of mailbox properties in EAC. Is it right?
    Did this issue affected only one user mailbox or all of them?
    From the error message, it seems that this issue is related to the corrupt permissions. Please use the
    Get-MailboxPermission cmdlet to retrieve permissions on a mailbox to check result.

  • Button condition on page item and Validation error Conflict

    Hi,
    I have a select list page item and a button on page whose condition is based on the select list page item value(eg, If (:P2_item1='val1'){return true;}) with condition type=PL/SQL function returning boolean. This buttons submits the page.
    It' coming fine in normal case. However, if I select some value val2 from the list and then click the button, and if there are any validation errors (like mandatory check or email check fail etc), then the button disappears because it evaluates the button condition based on the changed value(val2), but the page has not yet been submitted because of validation errors.
    I think this can be solved if I create the button condition based upon database column value instead of page item as db col value won't change until the page is submitted.
    This look like very basic use-case and I would like to know if there is any better solution to this problem.
    Note: I am using Apex 4.2.1

    I don't want to show/hide the button on the change of the page item lov value, so i am not using Dynamic action.
    What i was is to make button visible based on a condition(which is based on page item), for which we have condition attribute of a button available.
    This is a very common thing where a user chooses the button condition as Value of item/column in expression 1 is null/expr2. But what if the user changes the page item value but it doesn't get submit due to validation error. In that case, the button condition fails.
    So, i guess i have to use column name in expression 1, can u tell how to do that?
    Expression 1 = IF (:P2_STATUS='val1') then return true;
    How to change the above to use db column 'status' instead? Any direct way(like #Status#) or I have to query db to get it using select.
    Any alternative approach?

  • Error upon deploying a dataservices application

    I'm getting a strange error upon deploying a data service project.
    The data service project is very simple, I import a single webservice from a port via a URI reference. This import happens fine.
    I then choose to build a dataservice from this webservice. I build and compile the project.
    When I choose test view, I paste a preformatted xml request which works fine in SoapUI. However, when I try to execute, I get an error (after the bea workshop builds and deploys the application)
    I get a java.lang.noClassDefFoundError: com/bea/ld/sql/api/SQLQueryRequest
    I'm running ALDSP 2.5 on Weblogic 8.1.5
    Please see the full attached error message, which is a screenshot from my BEA Workshop for Weblogic Platform IDE.

    Thank you mreiche. My workshop IDE set the Aqualogic Data Service Platform Application home to be the workshop home, not the liquiddata home!!
    Now I get the following error:

  • Validation error corrupts component tree?

    I've got a strange problem trying to use validation on input fields.
    The basic setup is as follows:
    I've got a page divided into two parts with separate h:form tags, the one holding a dataTable with some elements and the other showing the element details in inputFields once an item is selected in the dataTable via a commandLink. A commandButton on the detail side allows you to update the values of the selected item which is being reflected in the dataTable on reload. So far so good.
    Here comes the strange part:
    All the inputFields are marked required. Now once you leave a field empty and try to submit the form, you get a validation error as expected. BUT if you now select a different element from the dataTable, ONLY the field whose validation formerly failed is being updated, the other fields still show the same value as before. The backing bean method that belongs to the commandLink is being executed, and the underlying data object of the input fields is being set properly, only the values in the component tree aren't updated. This behaviour persists until you enter a valid value in the formerly invalid input field and submit. Debugging shows that as long as at least one field has had validation errors, only the getter of these backing beans properties are being invoked during render response phase, as opposed to the "normal" case where the getters of all the backing beans properties are being called.
    For some reason, the render response phase seems to ignore the other components in the component tree when there was some validation error on one or more fields.
    Another interesting observation:
    This is the behaviour if I don't specify an action attribute in the commandLink selecting an element from the dataTable, as I want to return to the same page again. But if I define a navigation case that brings me to the same page and put that into the action attribute, the problem doesn't occur. Unfortunately this is no option for me, as I'm aiming to do all this with ajax.
    I've created a simple example so you can try out yourself:
    test.jsp:
    <%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" prefix="h"%>
    <%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core" prefix="f"%>

    Is there noone here who can tell me if this is behavior like specified or if I miss some point?
    A possible solution seems to be telling JSF programmatically to rebuild the view root. Does anyone if this is possible?

  • Validation error in JSF

    Hi,
    In my sample project the UI is powered by JSF, overall application architecture is J2EE.
    In a scenario,we have a page where we toggle between radio buttons and page reloads everytime we toggle, with different forms.
    In specific we have three radion buttons namely x ,y and z.
    When the default page loads, x is selected and when i shift my selection to y the page reloads with different forms and no error is seen.
    Next when i select z page reloads with different forms but error is displayed on the top of the page as below
    "Validation error:Value is not valid."
    Once the error is dispalyed on the page the error continues to remain eventhough we revert back the radio selection.
    In the above case jsp calls the js and the snippet of the same is as below
    JSP snippet:
    <TD><h:selectOneRadio styleClass="selectOneRadio" id="radio1"
    value="#{sessionScope.sameJam}"
    onclick=return jump_onclick(this,event);>
    <f:select itemValue="x"
    itemLabel="#{labels.label_x}" />
    <f:select itemValue="y"
    itemLabel="#{labels.label_y}" />
    <f:select itemValue="z"
    itemLabel="#{labels.label_z}" />
    </h:selectOneRadio></TD>
    JS snippet:
    function jump_onclick(thisObj,thisEvent){
    thisObj.form.submit();
    Java code:
    protected HtmlSelectOneRadio getRadio1() {
    if (radio1 == null) {
    radio1 = (HtmlSelectOneRadio) findComponentInRoot("radio1");
    return radio1;
    Thanks in advance.

        public String getSelectedItem() {
            return selectedItem;
        public void setSelectedItem(String selectedItem) {
            this.selectedItem = selectedItem;
    }Result is:
    Instead of getting 3 radio buttons, i get a submit button my page.
    Please correct me if I am wrong somewhere.

    Flow is : Ebusiness->PLSQL->AQ->BPEL->B2B.  Once the message is posted to B2b It is throwing the following Error.
    But I am passing all the mandatory and Optional Parameters.
    Tried the Following Threads, But No luck. I am passing all the Mandatory Parameters.
    How to map Internal-Properties in XSLT.
    Oracle B2B Payload Validation exception
    Scenario - 1 (Success No Errors , Output Does not Contain PO Details)
    Disabled the Validate flag in the Partner Agreement for the B2B Document.
    Verified the B2b Wired Message, Output got generated but without the PO information I am passing from BPEL.

    Thanks
    Rao.

    Issue is resolved by doing the Following Steps.
    1. Open the ECS file in the Document Editor, Exclude the ISA, GS segments in the ECS file. Save the File and Upload the Document and Redeploy the Agreement.
    2. Export the XSD and refer it in the BPEL process and do the transformation.
    Thanks

  • LOV selection fails when there are validation errors on the base page

    Hi
    I have lovs and some other required fields on a page . If there are any validation error on one of those text fields and if I open the LOV (not related to the text fields) and tries to select
    an item from the LOV search results, it doesn't do it until unless I go back to the base page and correct all the validation errors on the text fields eventhough those text fields have nothing to do with the LOV.
    Any suggestion is appreciated.
    Thanks
    Anwar

    I am on Anwar's team, and I've been dealing with the same problem, although on a different page.
    The JSPX for a contrived example is below. I can provide backing bean code, if needed.
    The form contains two LOVs. Both fields are required. If you leave both fields blank and click Continue, you get a red box around both fields and error messages are displayed. If you then click the magnifying glass to select from the first LOV, the LOV pop-up is rendered. However, you cannot make a selection, either by double-clicking a line item or by clicking OK (the OK button has no effect). All you can do is cancel.
    Interestingly, the act of clicking the magnifying glass on the first LOV gets rid of the red box around that field. So, once you cancel out, the second LOV actually does work. If there were more than two fields on the page, that wouldn't happen. The problem seems to be that the LOV doesn't work unless there are no validation errors on the page other than for the LOV which is being invoked.
    As you can see, immediate="true" is set on both LOVs. The behavior is the same whether this is true or not.
    I'm left thinking there must be something obvious that we're missing... but none of us can see it.
    Thanks,
    KEN
