Triggering Just-in-time Debugging
Hi all,
One can start the JVM with the option of putting itself into debug mode if an uncaught exception is thrown.
Do you know whether it's possible to explicitely put the JVM into debug mode without throwing an exception. Say I have a Java program with a UI and I want to have a command in the UI that puts the program (JVM) in debug mode.
Thanks,
Boris

started with debugging enabled for you to be able to attach
later and debug. Ways to do that are described here:

The 'attach on demand' capability (where you can attach and debug
any VM, regardless of how it was started (given the appropriate access

Visual studio just in time debuger
I am using 9i dev suite. while generating report from report builder after formating some pages am getting error, visual studio just in time debugger error is anybody knows how to resolve this, pls help me.
Sounds to me like the Reports Builder is crashing and you have Windows Debugging turned on. Try defragmenting your HDD, cleaning the Windows Registry and lastly, install any patches or bug fixes and lastly, resinstall if all previous attempts don't fix the problem.
Hope this helps,
Craig B-)

How do I disable just in time script debugger?

I installed Reader X and when I tried opening it, I received a Visual Studio Just-in-time Debugger error "An unhandled win32 exception occurred in AcroRd32.exe [3116]. I uninstalled, rebooted and tried reinstalling and received the same error.
I tried disabling the just in time debugger mentioned in http://www.programmerfish.com/disable-visual-studio-just-in-time-debugger/ and received the error "An unhandled win32 exception occurred in AcroRd32.exe [4080]. Just-in-time debugging this exception failed with the following error: No installed debugger has just-in-time debugging enabled. In Visual Studio, Just-in-time debugging can be enabled.....
I do have Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 installed.
Any ideas? We discovered that Reader X users that had an older version of PGP installed received this error. We implemented a registry change on these devices which resolved the issued. PGP recognized it was an incompatibility issue on their end, and supposedly, with the newer version of PGP it will be resolved. In order to resolve this, try using Adobe Readers whitelisting feature. Below are the steps to follow:
i. Add a registry entry enabling the use of whitelisting:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\10.0\FeatureLockDown]
"bUseWhitelistConfigFile"=dword:00000001
ii. Create a whitelist file called "ProtectedModeWhitelistConfig.txt" and place it
in the Adobe Reader executable path i.e. C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader
iii. The ProtectedModeWhitelistConfig.txt file will need to contain the string
SECTION_ALLOW_ANY = *PGPhk* -
DW Crashing Frequently (Just-In-Time)
Does anybody know how to stop my DW from crashing? Some days it doesn't crash at all and some days it crashes all the time. I have searched and searched for a solution to this with no luck.
It would be so bad if DW would remember what documents I had open. (Yes, I have that preference checked.)
Error:
"An unhandled win32 exception occurred in Dreamweaver.exe [960]. Just-In-Time debugging this exception failed with the following error: No installed debugger has Just-In-Time debugging enabled. In Visual Studio, Just-In-Time debugging can be enabled from Tools/Options/Debugging/Just-In-Time.
Check the documentation index for 'Just-in-time debugging, errors' for more information."I believe I have finally stopped DW from crashing and throwing this error by removing the registry key/value in the following location that was set to JITdebugger.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AeDebug\Debugger\

Using Skype appears a picture saying"just in time ...
Hi,
always when I use Skype appears on the screan " just in time debugging" and i cannot delete it.
continues appearing the same always when i am connected with somebody. what shall I do?
it is very disturbing!Hello:
The executable file EXP.EXE is a file which is found after the installation of Oracle into a PC. You can find it in your oracle/ora92/Bin/EXP.EXE folder too. PL/SQL developer only uses this exe to export table. So, this is not a question related to PL/SQL Developer only. I tried to use imp/exp command. It also provieds similar error.

Develop new Report for Summarized JIT (Just In Time) calls
Hi to all,
Can anybody kindly tell me how to develop new report for summarized JIT (Just In Time) calls.
Thanks in advance,
Regards
SimiI think it is a good feature, but I'd like to make some suggestions.
1) When the dialog pops up (like your attachment), it would be nice if I could tell it right then that I don't care about that advice. Right now you have to click on the link and then say you don't want the advice in the future. I think it is that extra step that is really annoying. I think, like most people, my instinct is to just close the dialog. Then next time I run LabVIEW I have to deal with it again. After the 5th time dismissing the damn thing I turn it off.
2) It would be nice to have an easy way to turn JIT advice off for a particular session. For example, I'm called on to help get new employees up to speed in LabVIEW. When I sit down at their computer to help design/debug things, I would really like to turn off JIT advice but just for my session. I don't want to change the other persons settings.
3) It would also be nice to be able to turn off JIT advice without going to the options.
So, I guess what I would like is this. When the JIT advice dialog comes up, instead of only having the link to the advice I'd like to see some a button that will turn off this topic in the future, a button that will turn it off for this session of LabVIEW and a button that will turn JIT off for good (with a verification dialog).
So, experience programmers with a new install will just turn it off for good the first time it pops up. Experience programmers on someone else's machine can turn it off without messing up the other persons ini file and I can leave it on when LV8 comes out and just dismiss the old advice quickly as it comes up.

Visual Studio Just-in-Time Debugger
weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, i love DW application errors.
Got this one today: Visual STudio Just-In-Time Debugger , An
unhandled win32......
what is that...i dont even have Visual Studio
installed??Very simply, this message tells you that jagsrv.exe crashes when you start it. You get the dialog box because Visual studio 2005 is installed on the system, which means that there is at least 1 debugger installed. The windows runtime asks you if you want
to debug the application.
If you have the source files for that application available and the pdb files for that application, you can debug the problem to see where it crashes and what could be the cause. -
Getting RID of Just-In-Time debugger
Hello all.
I
installed Visual Studio, and had no problems. Except one. The
Just-In-Time debugger. It seems to come up all the time now, and it
has broken Winamp AND Cakewalk SONAR 5. I tried disabling it in Visual
Studio's options, but that doesn't stop the pop up and the subsequent
shut down of the program (which did NOT happen before). Any ideas?i have had simillar problums with debug but not with the debug with the actually program and debug has not interefeared with any of my programs yet considering i only had the program now for about 2 hours i was able to copy this repeated error to clip board i hope it helps the development team

Request for user feedback: Just-In-Time Advice
An ongoing debate within LabVIEW R&D needs some more customer input in order to be resolved.
In LV7.0, we added Just-In-Time Advice dialogs (aka JIT dialogs). Those
are the small dialogs that you see when, for example, you drop a
stacked sequence structure and you are informed about the new flat
sequence structure. See the attached image for an example. We
were terrified of introducing something always in your face and getting
a response like Microsoft's Clippy, but we wanted a way to tell
customers, particularly upgrade customers, about things that had
changed and improved ways of using old features. The advice dialogs
really aren't targeted at new users, since for them, everything is new.
We need to know if we succeeded and whether or not the design of those
diialogs should be changed. Only a few customers have ever given
feedback about the JIT dialogs. That feedback has been fairly off-hand
such as, "I'm glad that particular dialog was there to help me." But we
really don't have information about whether the dialogs would be more
helpful or less if some of their UI aspects changed. The problem we're
having is that we in LabVIEW R&D wipe our .ini files frequently as
we test new versions, so the JIT dialogs are always popping up. This
makes a lot of developers want to change or remove the JIT dialogs
entirely. So we need a clear picture of whether or not this feature is
helpful to our users.
Please think about times you have seen the JIT dialogs and whether you
were annoyed by them, helped by them, etc, and reply to this message
with your experiences. Separately, I'll post some of the reasons why we
made the JIT dialogs behave the way they do. But I'd first like to hear
some customer feedback with out the biasing, pro or con, that an
explanation might have.

ABAP: Developed new Report for Summarized JIT (Just In Time) calls
Hi to all,
Can anybody please tell me about the following:
· Developed new Report for Summarized JIT (Just In Time) calls: This report is for Delco Singapore needs all Summarized JIT calls created between selected dates to be closed. If JIT call quantity is 0 and GR quantity is also 0, then GR flag for JIT call to be checked and JIT call will not be shown open. If the JIT call quantity is greater than zero and GR for JIT call quantity is zero then JIT call quantity made as zero and GR flag for JIT Call to be checked. Once it is checked the JIT call will not be shown in Open.
Thanks in advance.

MonalisaOk, I was able to figure out the functions that were confusing me. For my own record and for those that do not know, I will list how to create the objects necessary to add a new report to a menu.
1-Write JSP (should be written just how Oracle writes theirs)
2-Creat function for the new JSP page as System Administrator responsibility
3-Use Sys Admin to add the function to a menu somewhere
4-Using AK Developer responsibility, create an attribute with the label of the attribute being the name of your function you created. Oracle's convention is the name of the attribute has FS in it.
5-Using AK Developer, lookup the ASF_FUNC_SEC_REG region
6-Drill down into that regions attributes
7-Add a your newly created attribute to this region
You would do all these steps for your advanced search page as well, so that in your main jsp, you can call asfPage.setAdvancedSearchPage() with the attribute name of your advanced page.
What I Still do not know is:
(1) My main page keeps coming up saying that there is no default query defined for it. How do you create a default query for a report?
(2) How to get the personalization to work.
Can anyone help?
Thanks! -
I just purchased Time Capsule today. I ONLY want to use it as an external drive. I do not need it for Time Machine. I need to free up room on my computer. As of now, I can't even load updates. I can see the TC in my finder, but when I click on a file or video to drag and drop, I get message that TC can't be modified. Help please!
I agree with Kappy.. passing files and especially via wireless is slow as slow.
Just need to be sure your TC is the new AC model??
And the OS on the computer is Lion?
Have you completed the setup of the TC via the utility? You do still need to get internet via the TC so it has to be plugged into the main router..
Give us the full picture of the network.
Then we can help you get into it.. whether you should put your files on it is another question. -
How to Change Component on a SNP Planned Order ( Just 1 time )
Hello,
We are trying to change a component on a SNP Planned Order just 1 time.
So we do not want to change the PDS since this is one time change only.
We tried changing it in R/3. Once we do that, R/3 shows new component but APO still shows dependant demand on old component ( May be because APO SNP Planned order is still connected with the PDS ) .
Then we went to APO and tried to change the component in /sapapo/rrp3. Here you can delete the old component but doesn't let me add new component.
Next thing we tried was to convert it to PPDS Order. Once converted, we went to change mode and tried to remove old component and add new component. It lets me do this. Only issue with this route is that, it puts correct start and end dates on the order dependning on the order quantity and so order moves the dates which we do not like.
Is there any other better way to fix this issue ?.
Thanks.
Ketan Doshi. This being a very unique requirement, I would use one-off approaches usually not followed. You may need to explore the use of BAPI BAPI_MOSRVAPS_CREATESNPORDER. This will help you point the source of planned order to a PPM or a PDS that you may want to create in APO system on a one-off basis. PPMs can be maintained in APO, however PDS are usually CIFed from R3. You can try to create PDS (based on the new component) in APO system only using backend tables. Try do some little research on /sapapo/curto tables to create the PDS in APO. Then use the BAPI to point the source to this new PDS. (better you also try the PPM approach since there are no issues keeping the PPM in APO)
