Triple Bundle to Extreme pricing?

I'm currently paying 109.99 for the triple freedom (20/5, freedom essentials, fios premier).  Should that go up by moving to the extreme hd package or is that supposed to be the same price?  I thought I read that 109.99 is the price for that same package with extreme, but after talking to one verizon rep they indicated that it would be 119.99.   I want to make sure I'm getting the right deal.   I've been a fios customer since 7/2007 too.
Thanks!

"Customer service is useless and refers me back to Verizon...  which in turn refers me back to FIOS... "
Need to make sure you're calling the right place, and the right selections in the VRU.  It's not real user friendly, but I haven't had any problem getting to the right person the 1st time.  Although I don't understandwhat you mean, getting bounced form Verizon to FiOS, unless you're calling the wrong place to begin with.  Try starting with the number on your bill.  Follow the menu to Packages and programming or something along those lines.  Ignore allthe que-mercials about going to the web to see all the programming options and packages, if the site can even pull up your account info and the available packages (2 out of 3 times it  won't be able to) there is nothing you can do online,at least in our area, there is nothing you can do, change etc.
"IT is very frustrating as the new HD channels were one of the reasons I just switched from DirectTV."
Don't get too excited about it. It's not Verizon, but most of the new HD channels are not actually HD content.  It's, for example, their regular SD programming wrapped in an HD frame and broadcast in HD which does nothing for the content itself. Disney HD had cooler "Disney HD" ears but the shows look no different that SD and are also still the same aspect ratio.  Some channels like CNN, CNBC (you should already have CNBC HD) is the same but in 16:9 so they have more rea estate to stick more HD extras.  So don't feel like you're missing much.  I would not pay $5 a month extra for it.

  • Did anyone get the Triple bundle promotion for $79.99 & free DVR? Does that promotion exist?

I signed up for the triple bundle TV/phone/internet for $79.99 per month for 24 month contract, and free DVR for life time on Dec 10. It was advertized on Verizon website as well as on the flyer that was passed through my door. I received the confirmation letter on Dec 15 which stated the price for the above services was $104.99! That was $25 higher than their advertized price. I called customer service, who made me feel like I was hallucinating about the promotion: "The triple bundle was priced at $99.99, and no free DVR for life" as per the customer service. After much time spent explaining and negotiating, they still wouldn't change the price, but agreed to offer the free DVR.
On Dec 17, I called to confirm my order, and was told the price is still $104.99 and no free DVR. After much time spent explaining, I was offered the $79.99 triple bundle with free DVR.
On Dec 22, I called to confirm installation, and was told the price is $99.99, not $79.99.  What is going on here? Why can't Verizon honor their advertized price? If they advertized the promotion for $79.99, then change the price to $99.99 after the customer has agreed to the 2 year contract, that's called false advertizement!  I need someone to explain this to me.

A few years ago, my neighbor received the triple bundle for $99 (including free dvr) without difficulty.  Renewal is another story & it does depend upon who you speak to.
Verizon is like any other company with a contractual agreement.  Without documentation, our word is not credible.  Either cancel this order immediately.  Or, enjoy the Triple Play.  My apologies if I sound harsh.  Old school lifestyle kicking in.

  • Triple bundle installation

We have two computers, will the installation (triple bundle) allow a second computer on our wireless?

Assuming Verizon is providing you with a router that has a wireless access point (like the Actiontec MI424WR), you can actually have several computers on the wireless connection. My recollection is the MI424WR can support 4 wireless connections.  In addition the MI424WR has 4 wired ports, each of which can have a computer or other device connected to it.
However Verizon will not install more than 1 computer as part of a standard installation. If you want them to install more than one, you are going to have to pay for it. It isn't something that I would worry about, because it isn't very difficult to configure the wireless network, and get connected to it.
I do advise changing the administrator user id and password on your router however ASAP, and to run your wireless network with at least some security. MAC Filtering, or even  40/64 bit WEP will probably keep 99.9% of potential 'trespassers' out.

  • Help. Can someone tell me the taxes on their triple bundle package in NYC

Can someone with a bundle package fios tv, interenet and phone, the ~$94.99 plan tell me what the taxes are?  Basically what is the total cost of the bill per month is in NYC and if it is the same amount every month and if not how much it fluctuates.  I have looked everywhere and can't find the answer and Verizon can't tell me the number.
    Thanks

OK.  Finally found the answer.  Thanks for all those that responded.
Actually was able to get the triple play fios (20mps for internet), fios tv and phone for $84.99 (there was an additional discount of $10 if you order via phone).  After all applicable taxes the final bill comes to ~$102/month.  Free standard HD top box.  Hope this helps for others out there in NYC.  I assume if you were to go with the 94.99 the final bill would be ~$10 more.

  • New to Azure - Question on Pricing

I am new to Azure, so please excuse if something I am obviously missing.
I am looking at Azure for mainly cloud hosting. I am also comparing it with Amazon AWS and Google Cloud offering. I see the prices for Azure are quite higher (VMs).
    1) Does the pricing include anything bundled ?
    2) Am I also getting charged for Windows ?

There's nothing bundled in VM pricing - at least not spelled out as such. Pricing can vary depending on VM Size which takes into consideration RAM/CPU/Number of Disks (1TB max each, which also adds IOPS). Although you can consider things like WAN IPs as
bundled in. Some pre-configured VMs like SQL can be thought of as the software license bundled in.
You're not charged for Windows. So, I suppose you can consider Windows license pricing as bundled in..

  • Promotional Bundle Discount - Disappointing Customer Service for the first time ever

I'm a long time Comcast customer currently on a triple bundle package.   My promo discount ended and typically I can call; talk to a knowledgeable rep; and find a comparable bundle to keep my rate under $200 a month (tv, internet, phone that I use for business calls).   Last week I got a "sassy" rep who was anything but helpful;  reading off scripted cards; insisting that she was doing a good job and had satisfactorily helped me.  I kept telling her no...I wasn't happy hearing there was NO promo available to me via the phone but I should try going to the website...well, I've spent another hour online trying to find alternatives with no luck.    After reading some forum posts, I'm convinced there is NO site on comcast that offers any promo bundles for existing cusotmers that want to lower their bills.  I do not need all the channels that my current plan has, but apparently if I change some things, comcast will get me for additional equipment costs so I'm sort of screwed unless we just drop everything and switch things up....I do hope someone from Comcast reaches out to help before you lose me as a customer......

I must have talked to the same rude customer service girl as you did. I was also trying to get a reduction in my bill and her response was to give back the modem that I rent and that would take $10.00 off my bill. For the last month I have had nothing but poor wifi service, having to call almost every day and have my modem reset. Well I hooked up this new modem that also includes the router on Saturday, what a nightmare that was. For more than 24 hours now my wifi has been intermittent at best. I called earlier and spent a good hour on the phone being transferred multiple times and each time having to repeat the same stuff over and over again! I have been with Comcast for more than 15 years and I think it's time for a change, tomorrow I am calling AT&T !!!

  • Verizon & Direct TV

Has anyone been referred to Direct TV by Verizon?
We got so excited about the FIOS Advertising!  "This IS BIG!!"  until we called to surcribe to Verizon's FIOS Triple Bundle for $99 per month.  The Representative told us that Verizon did not offer FIOS TV in our area at that time, however, they were working with their Partner DirectTV, until they get the service in our area.  We were told that we could use the Direct TV Services "Temporarily" until the FIOS TV Services came to our area.  At that time we would switch over from Direct TV to Verizon's FIOS TV.  We said ok.  Unfortunately for us, little did we know of the mess Verizon would put us into.
    Here's how Verizon FAILED us:
         1)  The Verizon Rep never told us there would be a difference in pricing.
         2)  The verizon Rep never told us that Verizon was just a third party and that we would need to work with Direct TV to ensure the billing would be correct.  When we said yes to the service, Direct TV was their partner.
         3)  The Verizon Rep never told us that we would have to complete a Rebate with Direct TV "BEFORE " our services were turned on to get the correct billing.
         4)  The Verizon Rep never told us that whenever we call customer service for either company, we would get the run around.
Because of the discrepency in the billing, we called Verizon several times to try to straighten this out.  Direct TV said, since Verizon set up our account, we needed to call Verizon.  After calling back and forth, we gave up.  We found out about the Rebate after the fact.  We completed it online, but, the rebate center for Direct TV said it was not available for our bill yet.  When we asked how long do we have to wait, we were told 6 to 8 weeks.  That time frame came and went.  Our Direct TV Bill was running an almost average $100 per month.  That's crazy.
This is a Verizon Problem and they refuse to fix it.  We decided, we can not pay this amount to Direct TV every month.  We called to cancel the Service and was told that when Verizon set up our account, it was set up for 18 months.  I said, "You have got to be kidding!"  So this could not have been a service to use "Temporarily" until FIOS TV gets into my area.  The Rep simply "LIED" to us.
My question is, "WHY IS VERIZON NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MESSES THEY CREATE?  Who is responsible for this mess?
At this point, our Direct TV is "Cancelled' because we could not afford not knowing whether our bill would be over $100 per month.  Plus, we were prorated twice.  Our FIOS Internet service has been interrupted because the disputed Direct TV bills were included on the Verizon bill.  We asked could we just pay the FIOS Phone and Internet, but were told we needed to pay the Direct TV bill as well.
I clearly understand that we were never valued as a customer.  If we were, Verizon would have helped to undo the mess they created.
I was shocked to realize that this is how Verizon does Business.
    Thanks.

  • Treating the customer in a very wrong manner

    Hi
For the past 45 minutes, i have been trying to figure out how to send an email to Verizon detailing about my complaints but to no avail. The email link in the Contact US section leads to nowhere. It asks for a Pin Code and that's it, it doesnt provides one with an email ID to send an email to. And thus at last after going through the entire website, i found only this forum to vent out so many unfortunate incidents that have happened since i took the account.
On 15th Nov, i took the Triple Bundle Plan (no contract) and was provided with an option of either opting for a Multi-room DVR or a $300 Visa Gift Card. I opted for the latter. I got a mail few days later with the entire order details and it mentioned about the 300$ Visa Card. In few days from then, i further received a postcard from Verizon detailing upon my User ID and password and provided with the link where i can go and login and check the reward status. Everything was going fine, untill y'day the 75th day of the service, the rewards website updated a status which read that I am being removed from here as I am no more eligible for this reward.
A little background here is that in the first week of Dec, i called up Verizon to check if i can get an Extreme HD instead of Prime HD. The executive told me that its possible (with no change to my existing terms and conditions) and she moved me to Extreme HD but i have no clue why she moved me to Double Play when all i asked for was whether Extreme is possible or not. I got to know of this and called Verizon to get me back on my original plan. I had to call up incessantly for days to get this fixed (it wasnt my fault at all if that lady moved me to Double Play without my consent). Thus after many days of continuous followup, i was moved back to my original plan (as was told but...).
Now, yday when i checked the reward status where it said am no more eligible, i called up Promotions dept to which they provided me with a shocker of a reply. They said that since mine is a month to month service, i can in no matter get the 300$ card as that is only for 2 yr contract holders. (I later on spoke to a customer rep and he said there is no such limitation as mine was fiber ready and so the 300$ visa with no contract was possible). So not sure why the promotions deptt fooled me there.
Customer Rep to whom i spoke with later on, initially was hell rude when he straightaway said he cant do anything about it now, the 300$ visa card is gone now). I felt extremely terrible at this moment of having opted for Verizon. Later on after enough pestering he told me that he will raise a request to investigate on the matter but said that its highly unlikely anything positive will happen now.
The only condition for not getting the 300$ card was that if after 60 0r 90 days of service, if any payment is due, the reward will not be provided. To this, i have always paid my bill weeks in advance as this time too.
Now i have a simple request here. I was promised a 300$ Visa card in the beginning on a Triple Play and now when the time came to actually provide the customer with one, Verizon has tried to dupe me of something which i am rightfully the beneficiary. Request you to escalate this issue and get it resolved ASAP. I need my promised money back, as simple as that.
    Kindly help.
    Yours truly.

I'm sorry you are having difficulty. An agent with access to your account will reach out to you directly by email, private message in the Forums and/or the billing telephone number on your Verizon account for more information or to help you resolve your issue.

  • The best router / network set up for wireless and wired combined use

Shout out to all wireless experts...
In my home, I have an iBook G4 I would like to 1) link with a wireless capable Brother MFC printer, while simultaneously maintaining the wired connectivity of the iMac already USB connected to same; plus 2) utilize the Internet wirelessly (via the iBook) without adversely affecting the iMac's wired functionality. Make sense?
I have the preinstalled / bundled AirPort Extreme (404.2) and Bluetooth (1.7.5) software, and imagine this is doable, but I wonder...Which router, and specifically, how to (step by step) do this best without incurring unnecessary bells, whistles or expense?
I've heard / read about the Belkin F5D8230-4 (mixed opinions), earlier Belkins, plus was advised that any 802.11 b/g was sufficient, but continue to be uncertain as to which way to go...help...

  • Press 1 if you think Verizon Customer Service is Awful

I consider myself Verizon's idea of the "perfect" customer.
First, I have the FIOS Bundle package (phone, internet, TV) with all the bells and whistles, including all the movie channels and sports packages.
And, until very recently, I was a longtime Verizon wireless customer.
The problem is that Verizon treats me like I'm some kind of idiot.  I get an e-mail that reads (in part): "According to our records, you have not yet accepted the FiOS Bundle Customer Agreement that contains the terms and conditions covering your Verizon FiOS Triple Bundle. In order to receive the discounts associated with this bundle for 12 consecutive months, please review and accept the agreement...."
OK, fine. So I click the link. It asks me for my username and password.  I try to use my Verizon logon. No, apparently that doesn't work.  I need another username/password.
I call up support, and after going through a bunch of convoluted menus, I get through to a human being who says I need to talk to someone from e-center. {word filter avoidance}   Apparently, I need a username and password from there.  I tell the customer service person I'd like to confirm my bundle via the mail.  "I'm sorry, you can't do that.  We need you to confirm this online so that we have recourse in case you cancel."
Really!! That's funny because I didn't have to go online to confirm my cell phone plan (formerly with Verizon), and I sure {edited} don't need to go online to any of the other bills that have for electricity, gas, water.  Apparently, FIOS is so incredible you can only do it online.  The customer person says, "It's like a digital fingerprint!!"  Oh, really! Gosh, thanks!
So I realize nothing will come of this rant, but you {word filter avoidance}  who run this company should really {please keep your posts courteous}  try calling your own company's customer service lines to see what it's like.
And while I'm at it, as a former Verizon shareholder you really made an idiot move by not coming to some sort of agreement with Apple to be the exclusive carrier of the iPhone.  I give you kudos for investing so heavily in fiber so many years ago, but your customer service is awful.  Just awful.

    1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1 !!!!!
Your post on the forum is DEAD ON !!!  I've spent two days trying to deal with Verizon. The customer service is NON EXISTANT !!!  It took 6 hours (at my work) trying to find somone who even remotely knew where and how to begin to help. Unfortunately, (status quo) I was put on hold and we were disconnected.  Gee, I'm not too ticked off at this point, I've only been disconnected like 20 times since.
After going home, and spending another 2 1/2 hours on the phone with Verizon, the issues with the services I chose are straightened out. I think???
Now .......I'm trying to activate the bundle online.  WHAT A JOKE !!!!  Their stupid www.verizon.net/fiosbundleterms website doesn't work. After reading other posts, it appears mailing it in doesn't work either.
I'm so sorry I ever switched from COMCAST. At least their customer service system worked. I am regretting the day when I have real problems, like with the equipment, etc. Hats off to the COMCAST customer service !!!
    Dear Verizon,
If you even care to read these forums you will do SOMETHING about your customer service issues. It's apalling. I spit on you.  Please tell me what you spent the MILLIONS of dollars on.
    signed,
    a very ticked off customer.....
(and it's only been 2 weeks since the install)

  • New Digital Voice user - Can I use and IP phone

Brand new to FIOS - triple bundle. Is Digital Voice a VOIP provider such that I can use an IP phone? In combination with my regular POTS?
    Thanks!

You cannot use an IP phone with the digital voice service.  The digital voice service closely resembles the POTS line vs. an IP line.

  • Is the X1 hardware really this bad?

I have been a very long standing Comcast triple bundle customer, one who really doesn't have major issues with the company..until now. I recently signed up for the x1 service as it would save me money and I'd pick up a few channels as well...but so far it has been an unmitigated disaster. I am wondering if all their equipment and service is this bad, or am I the exception... First, I had a lot of trouble installing the cable modem/gateway. It should be plug and play, but it took an hour on the phone with tech support. Next came the x1 dvr install...which didn't happen. The supplied box would not accept input from the remotes I was sent (we tried both the 'master' remote as well as the 'slave' remote. So, back on the phone with support. They decided to overnight me another x1 dvr. Much to my surprise, instead of another x1 dvr, I received an old remote that doesn't even work with x1 box. So now I have to wait another week to get another shipment, hopefully this time the right equipment. So I have invested hours of time, and I still have no x1 tv set up..But at least I have a huge pile of junk comcast xfinity hardware sitting around!

All flat screen TV's emit IR interference of some sort. Some are much worse than others. While admittedly I am a huge plasma TV fan, they are known to be more notorious culprits of this issue, especially older plasma TVs. It can be bad enough to interfere with IR remote control performance. I have seen it many times.
HOWEVER some set top boxes are MUCH more susceptible to this kind of interference. I clearly remember a day not that long ago when you could not have a Pace legacy HD box in the same room with a Panasonic plasma TV. I am sure many Comcast techs would remember this.
Having to set X1 remotes to RF mode is a well known solution and is discussed in this forum almost daily. Sorry your tech or anybody else didn't make the connection. I guess we were not on site and we simply did not have enough information to help you more. That being said, many of us do not use the Comcast remotes and we need IR to work.
cohenfive, I am glad you solved your issues. However please know it is not new. Switching X1 remotes to RF is well known. Comcast boxes having issues with IR signals is also well known. I have written about it before. Some of the X1 boxes appear to have overly sensitive IR receiver windows and they are easily "flooded" which makes the box seem to be locked up. Here is just one thread I wrote: http://forums.xfinity.com/t5/X1/A-Fix-for-the-Search-Box-Popping-Up-By-Mistake/m-p/2355227#M36634

  • FiOS Internet Plan 20/20

I live in Hampton Roads, VA and I've subscribed to the FiOS 20/20 plan but my NIC is a 10/100 card.  Am I paying for something I can never get with my installed NIC?  Does the 10/100 NIC mean I can only upload 10MEG per second and download 100 MEG per second?  Secondary to this is Verizon doesn't offer Verizon Triple Freedom with Extreme HD TV lineup with the 20/20 Internet plan.  Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Your NIC speed rating is symetrical, which means it can support what the number says in both directions.
In your case, when it says 10/100, it mean it can support a network that support 10Mbps up and down AND a network that supports 100Mbps up and down. All this is autosensing, so when your computer detects the router it will automatically switch to the correct network speed. You can manually change it, but I wouldn't recommend.
I hope that answers your question.

  • Unfair practices

I saw the online ad of the $79 triple bundle deal. I did not see anything that indicated that I had to sign up online for that deal. I called and told them I was interested in the $79 deal. I was not told that I had to sign up online for that deal. By not indicating that on the web page or telling people when they inquire you are forcing the public to make assumptions that some people would not make.
So because I did not sign up on line I am being charged $89.99. I called and protested to a supervisor but I was told that she could not change the price.
When I signed up I was told I would receive a free tablet. After I signed up I received an email letting me know that I would get a free tablet but only if I sign up for a 2-year contract with wireless. I was not told that before hand.
When they asked me to provide my cell number I told them not to call me on my cell. I am out of work and living off my savings and I pay for the calls I make and receive. They called me several times on my cell therefore using up my phone minutes. I told the superviceor, Karen, and she said they called my cell because I didn't have a land line. I did have a land line that was working fine. They were calling to set up instillation of fios. In the meantime I still had Comcast. They could have called on the landline that is why I told them NOT to call my cell.
I think this is a sneaky and underhanded way to sign people up for your service. I really, really  thought Verizon was a better company than Comcast. Apparently I was wrong about that.  Now I have this huge bill (biggger than I thought according to the estimation bill I recieved) including activation fee. And I'm also out the minutes for my cell phone. I am so sick and so upset about this. I feel so helpless when dealing with these companies. It seems the customer doesn't come first anymore, only profit does. That is such a shame.

I received the reply from Version and the reply basically told me what I already knew. Not much help there.
When I called up Comcast for an offer on their website I was immediately told that was an online offer only. Why didn’t Verizon Fios afford me the same courtesy?
Whenever I called Comcast and was unhappy they immediately tried to make me happy by offering me some sort of token of appreciation. I don’t see that with Verizon Fios. Don’t you appreciate your customers?
I received TNT, animal planet, TVLand, TLC on Comcast’s basic plan. Not so on Verizon Fios. Why doesn’t Fios offer these channels in their basic package?
