Trouble with a group by expression.

Question

I have a fairly simple select statement from which I am pulling two tables worth of data into one output which later gets put into a cursor for export to java. I need to be able to group by one column and I get a 'not a group by...' statement. I could use some guidance from the masses about proper group by usage.
select errors.VALIDATION_TYPE,errors.error_number,errors.error_msg,errors.err_time_stamp,t_batch.*
from errors,t_batch
where errors.co_id = t_batch.co_id and
errors.facility_id = t_batch.facility_id and
errors.batch_id = t_batch.batch_id and
errors.ry = t_batch.ry and
errors.reporter_id = t_batch.REPORTER_ID
group by errors.batch_id;

You can try something like this example:
