Trouble with mobile versions of site

I have designed a very simple two-page site at charlestonskinnyjeans.com and I am trying to offer my client a mobile optimized version. When I preview the phone design in Muse, everything looks fine. When I actually pull up the site on my phone (Samsung Galaxy SIII), it shows the phone design but with huge amounts of gray space on the right and bottom. It's not loading at full width.
I have checked the design board and cleared any hidden frames. I don't think I have any effects that go outside the content margins.
I'm stumped. Please help!

I hadn't checked the site since January or so, when it worked. It might be related to the Opening Weekend skin they have on the site, but for me, it shows the top part of the page for 3 seconds while it's loading (scrolling down is impossible) and then all of a sudden it turns black, showing nothing. It's that way for every MLB mobile site.

Can the desktop and mobile version of site share one News Announcement module?

Hello. Can I make the News Announcement module work for both the desktop and phone version of a site? I want to use one set of News Announcements so have created a separate template for the desktop detail and the phone detail.
On the mobile News page, seen here, news - Latest News (make sure you reduce the browser to a phone size) I have altered the module code generating the announcement list from {module_announcement,a,,,,} to the following so that it uses a mobile specific template (as suggested on the BC help page here Business Catalyst Help | Using custom templates for modules). The template is in the Templates folder.

But it isn't working yet, on selecting a news item link on the mobile version the detail loads but it is the desktop version not the mobile version. Is my code snippet wrong? The news items themselves have been assigned the desktop version template which I imagine could be the problem. Is there a way around this or do I have to create two sets of news announcements, one for desktop the other for phones?

Mobile Version of Site Using Wrong Assets

I have my site previewing on businesscatalyst and it looks perfect on desktop, but when I view it on mobile, it is showing mainly text and images from the template I used that I have deleted and replaced with my assets. Why are these still showing up only on mobile instead of what I have replaced it with.

Can you check the mobile version of the website on your desktop by adding a '/phone' to the URL.
If you are able to see the same text and images from the template, then I would advise to check the mobile version of your site in Muse :

Firefox mobile shows full version of sites instead of mobile versions of sites only.

When I visit sites on firefox mobile ( i have the experimental version for phones like the HTC Hero that use the SENSE version of Android)
Firefox mobile will show the whole main site instead of mobile versions. if a Site has a mobile version, Id prefer it to show that version.
Also when i go to put information into a form on the page, for example a log in, it makes the screen REDICULOUSLY large and a grey bar with an arrow goes right across the middle of the screen. On the native android browser i can enlarge the form just big enough to see type in my details and then hit enter. On firefox its somewhat of a nightmare trying to log into anything.

You can ask your favorite sites to add mobile Firefox (Fennec) to the list of mobile browsers they detect. Until they do, you can use the add-on "Phony" to make the sites think you are using a different mobile browser: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/addon/162014/

Mobile version of site shows extended browser fill

I have a little problem I was wondering someone might be able to help me out with.

on the mobile version of this site I have made, there are a couple of instances, Home, Pricing and Contact, where the length of the page seems too long, to where the site shows too much of the brower fill, and extends the length of the page for some unknown reason.
Any thoughts on what might be causing this and how to fix it are very welcome.

I have been testing it on my iphone 4s. The website is up and running. I don't believe it is the sticky footer thing which is the problem. The master page displays at a certain length - what is the minimal page length (as there is no content on there which is making it longer), but it seems that this does not correspond to the length of pages in the file - so that shorter pages which should fit perfectly onto the master end up having a space beneath the content and above the footer.

Trouble with Mobile Users using my cart

Hello, I've had intermittent issues with my paypal cart and my customers trying to purchase through phones. It's happening with "some" of both iPhones and Android users, where they add an item to cart and their phone either freezes or drops the items out of the cart.
I am losing sales because of this because a lot of my online sales are very time sensitive. Are there any known issues with any mobile operating systems, or any feature I should turn on with my online paypal store, or certain way I should set up my items to accomodate mobile sales. Thank you in advance for your help!

HT1923 Trouble with newest version of iTunes not updating properly

I tried updating to the newest version of iTunes because I received the Apple Software Update for it. It wouldn't install properly, so I manually installed the newest version. When I tried to open iTunes I received an error message: "APSDaemon.exe - System Error; MSVCR80.dll not found, try reinstalling the software". So I clicked okay and received an error message the iTunes was not installed properly, try reinstalling. Then I uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled it, but received the same error messages about 2/3 of the way through reinstalling. Now iTunes won't install at all. I went to the support page and got the instructions for removing and reinstalling iTunes on Windows 7, but I can't finish the removing steps because Apple Mobile Device Support will not uninstall at all. My husband is having the same issue on his computer. Is this a known issue with the new version of iTunes for windows? How do we fix it now? We really need iTunes on the computers to sync with our phones, iPod, and iPad. Any help would be appreciated...should I contact apple support directly?

Update - I was able to finally uninstall the Apple Mobile Device Support component and the rest of the components. I was not able to delete the common files/Apple folder when checking to make sure all the components were removed; however, I think that is because I have an Apple AirPort WiFi Device. Anyway, the newest version of iTunes did install on my computer after following these instructions. So I believe my issue is resolved. We will see...

Trouble with JPG version of RAW in email, web

Im new to this forum and relatively new to Aperture. Im hoping maybe someone can clue me in as to what is going on here:
I shoot in RAW (Nikon D80). I do all my editing in Aperture, and everything works and looks great. Now say I want to email a smaller JPG version. I do an export version, which I look at on my computer (Macbook Pro), and it looks fine. I email the JPG, and somewhere in the email process, something happens to my colors. The email is received on the other end and the colors have faded drastically. I also have had the same problem when uploading JPGs to a site to order prints from. This problem only occurs with RAW, and not if I shoot in JPG. I do have Aperture 2.1, and OSX 10.5.2. Thanks for any help/suggestions.

Hi Gregg,
You need to check what colour profile is being attached to the exported JPegs. It sounds like they are being exportd with Adobe RGB profile. That will look fine on your Mac as the Mac applications are colour profile aware; but because other browsers (on PCs for instance) are not colour profile aware, the JPegs will be displayed on the assumption that they are in sRGB profile. This will produce exactly the situation you describe - faded and desaturated colours. For any web work, you must export them with sRGB profile.

Trouble with newer versions of Firefox on Windows XP

Long time Firefox user but started having problems a few updates ago. Uninstalled 8.0 and reinstalled newest version. Have not added any plugins/add-ons with install yet list below shows many (some unrecognizable (did not save any old settings with uninstall). New 9.0.1 does not look like new interface should...looks like an older one. Did not reload old bookmarks but new install will not bookmark anything. Some extensions did not work properly with old 8.0 version. Is this an XP problem with the newer Firefox versions and if so should I go back to an older version (which one)? Don't want to move to Chrome and will not use IE but Firefox is bricked without bookmarks and other problems. Help?

There is a discussion group for Boot Camp. Search in that group for answers, this has been covered before.
Remember you are not only using beta software you are using it to install Windows.
Before heading off in a great search in the Boot Camp discussions... Be absolutely certain that you have WinXP (Pro or Home) with Service Pack 2 (SP2) installed. While in WinXP right click on "My Computer" and select "Properties", it will tell you if this is true.
Some folks have resorted to unpacking the driver file & installing each one at a time. The drivers can be unpacked using a command line switch. I don't remember the exact syntax - but a quick search in the Boot Camp discussion group should bring you the answer.

Login Trouble with Mobile AIM

I am using a Blackberry Curve 8330. Today when I tried to login mobile AOL Instant Messenger I received the following message: "The maximum number of logins has been exceeded." It then tried to reconnect after a delay without success. I tried rebooting the BB. I also uninstalled mobile AIM, rebooted, and reinstalled. No luck with either solution. Does anyone have advice?

I would like to inform all people having the same problem logging on to aim on their blackberry....i spoke to technical support at t-mobile and they informed me that aim no longer allows u to be signed on in several different locations....or could just be a mobile phone. If you sign off all locations...sign on your phone....and want to sign in on another computer it will allow you....just not if you are signed on anywhere else.

Troubles with Mobile Users in Lion

I have a new Lion Server install and installing Lion on several Macbooks. With Snow Leopard we were able to setup Mobile users that would sync their home directories back to the server. I would like to do the same on the Lion but continue to have issues.
I created a Sharepoint for the Homes located on a data_hd partition. I am able to mount this share successufully and can read and write with no issues.
I create the user in the User App, have the home set to the sharepoint and I see the user folder created on the server. I then use Workgroup manager to setup the Mobility preferences to create account, Sync at Login, Logout, etc... I am unable to login with that username on the macbook (which has joined the OD). I get an error that the user is unable to login due to an error...
Any ideas on what I could have done wrong?

The exact error is "You are unable to log in to the user account newuser at this time. Logging in to the account failed because an error occurred."
