Trying to access a previously released task flow binding issue

I am using Jdeveloper 11g R2 (11.1.2.4) & weblogic 10 G
In my pages I use JSF & Facelet
I get this message in my console
  ADFc: Trying to access a previously released task flow binding 'somename'
It is not stoper one but it is displayed in weblogic log as error, Is there any way to fix this?
Thanks

mohsen,
Track what the application is doing when you leave the task flow. May be you try to access the task flow of one of its parameters in a bean method.  This would result in such an error.

  • ADF Task Flow Binding - Refresh ifNeeded being invoked even WITHOUT any Parameter change

    Using JDeveloper 11.1.1.6.0
    Issue: Task Flow Binding property "refresh = ifNeeded" seems to be triggered even without the mutation of the input parameter.
    As per definition, "ifNeeded: refresh the ADF Region if the value of a task flow binding parameter changes." (Reference: 17.5 Refreshing an ADF Region)
    Now for the setup which reproduces the issue.
    I'll focus at the fragment bounded task flow level and will skip the jspx side.
    taskflow: main-flow.xml
    contains a single fragment mainFgmt.jsff
    has a managed bean defined SampleBean.java as pageFlow scope.
    taskflow: sub-flow.xml
    contains a single fragment subFgmt.jsff
    has an inputParameter SampleBean.java (because it is an input parameter, by default it will be at pageFlow scope)
    !important - has a nested taskflow (task flow call as defined in the component pallete) called inner-flow (see below)
    the nested taskflow is the default activity
    the nested taskflow has an outcome pointing to subFgmt where outcome = "return"
    taskflow: inner-flow.xml
    contains a single fragment called stop.jsff
    has a return activity without outcome = "return"
    stop.jsff has a navigation pointing to the outcome.
    Finally mainFgmt.jsff has a task flow binding (pageDef)
    with id = "sub-flow.xml"
    refresh = "ifNeeded"
    parameter SampleBean being submitted as sub-flow's input parameter. (id=sampleBean, value=#{pageFlowScope.mainSampleBean})
    Assume that code compiles.
    In this scenario where the only tricky condition is the inner nesting (defined by !important), when the inner nesting decides to invoke its outcome to visit sub-flow's fragment, mainFgmt is restarting its taskflow which makes sub-flow start over again.
    Another way of saying it is, if sub-flow starts a nested activity and that nested activity exits out to utilize sub-flow's view. The high level definition which is mainFgmt's refresh ifNeeded is restarting sub-flow.
    In the above example if you notice, the bean (SampleBean) is not really being utilized except that it is completing the purpose of refresh=ifNeeded. This scenario is only to simplify the setup - in practical use this bean will be mutated to be utilized as a refresh mechanism.
    Now interestingly, if I change the pattern a bit then the issue will not happen:
    Don't use the nested taskflow (inner-flow) as the default activity, let a fragment of sub-flow hold the initial view.
    Navigate to the nested flow.
    Exit nested flow.
    Everything works.
    Now in this scenario, it seems like the sub-flow needs to have a view established first for it to be properly be used.
    So my questions are as follows:
    Can I consider the behavior of the refresh=ifNeeded as a bug in this usecase?
    Would it be better to utilize a different way of refreshing (maybe combination of refresh condition) to get around the issue?
    Is the use of the task flow as defined logical or does it cross any boundary or best practice that might be causing this behavior?

    Hi,
    actually you lost me in your description due to complexity. I lived under assumption that sub-flow already is a region on a view in main flow, but then you sad that
    "!important - has a nested taskflow (task flow call as defined in the component pallete) called inner-flow (see below)"
    which then confused me as to I have no idea if inner flow now is the second level nesting or first level nesting (should be second level nesting). If sub-flow is a region then having "has an inputParameter SampleBean.java (because it is an input parameter, by default it will be at pageFlow scope)"  is an unnecessary broad scope because the region wont live longer than view scope.
    Anyway, it seems that a region refresh is triggered by the lifecycle involved, which can be by design or a bug. I suggest you file a Service Request with support and provide a test case as purely from the description, its hard to parse and understand what is going on.

  • 403 error when trying to access a previously uploaded document in App

    I have 2 machines on one I am running WLS 10.3 with an admin server and a managed server called "dev" on a live box.
    On the other, my dev environment I upgraded from 8.1 to 10.3 so it upgraded my server to have the admin server all in one i.e. deploy apps to that server too.
    I have an app with a few entries that the deployment descriptor ( ejb-jar.xml) refers to a directory within the app, the directory is a location where files get uploaded to. It reads something like thisL
    ./app_name/web/uploads/document/
    THe documents get uploaded to the correct location on both machines, but on the machine that has the managed server and admin server I cant actually view the documents - whih are viewed through a jsp....there is a Session Bean that creates a link to the document based on an id within the database(and not the actual filename itself), for retrieving the document, which is populated in a jsp. However in the Bean the directory is set like this:
    String docUploadDir = "/upload/document/"
    so the link gets generated like this:
    www.mydomain.com/upload/document/?text=12345
    This works on the upgraded WLS version where the domain got upgraded from 8.1 to 10.3, where the admin server bundled up as the apps server as well. However under the WLS 10.3 domain i created(which base location and domain names are the same as 8.1 version) I get a Forbidden 403 error when I try and view the documents.
    Im assuming the forbidden comes about because I am trying to access a location on the machine that I shouldn't be allowed to. However where is the relative "docUploadDir" actually suppossed to exist?
    Thanks in advance!
    Paul

    Questions:
    - Did you set up a protected web realm?
    - When you click on the link to the realm, you get the block message?
    It's a little unclear what you've done to configure the web server and what you did to get the message.

  • Af:table filter date format : task-flow navigation issue

    hi
    When trying to use the date format configured on the Entity Object, with Format Type as Simple Date and Format as "dd-MM-yyyy", there seems to be a problem when using task-flows.
    The approach involves an explicitly configured attributeValues binding to use in f:validator and af:convertDateTime components in the af:inputDate in the filter facet, as discussed in the forum thread "af:table filter date format"
    at af:table filter date format
    I used JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0 to create the example application
    in http://www.consideringred.com/files/oracle/2010/TableFilterDateFormatIssueApp-v0.03.zip
    - The page filterEmp.jspx shows expected behaviour, the filter uses the configured date format and there is no problem when navigating to another page and back.
    see the screencast at http://screencast.com/t/CtQ9rsVFH3k
    - The page menuBTFPage.jspx allows for some navigation after using the filter resulting in the filter showing a date in the wrong format, using scenario (sc1)
    -- (sc1-a) : run menuBTFPage.jspx
    -- (sc1-b) : on "menu-btf : menu", click the "do go-filter-emp-btf" link
    -- (sc1-c) : on "filter-emp-btf : filterEmpFragment", filter on HireDate using "10-03-2005"
    -- (sc1-d) : click the "do goReturnSuccess" button
    -- (sc1-e) : back on "menu-btf : menu", click the "do go-filter-emp-btf" link again
    -- (sc1-f) : back on "filter-emp-btf : filterEmpFragment", see the HireDate filter value in the wrong format as "2005-03-10"
    -- (sc1-g) : click the "do goReturnSuccess" button again, which results in an error "The date is not in the correct format."
    see the screencast at http://www.screencast.com/t/ORHauBd3oQ
    questions:
    - (q1) Can the behaviour in scenario (sc1) be reproduced?
    - (q2) Why is the filter value in the wrong date format in step (sc1-f)?
    - (q3) What can be done to have the filter value consistently in the configured date format, so that errors as in step (sc1-g) can be avoided?
    many thanks

    hi
    First a short summary of relevant aspects of service request 3-2190488381:
    - development has reviewed bug 10193260
    - development identified some code where a pattern was not applied and started fixing the problem
    - out of the blue, development asked "Will clearing out the filter field completely when moving out of ataskflow be an acceptable behavior ?"
    - I pointed out some concerns (even in a phone call with development), but development did not see any alternative not "perceived to be very risky because of the current design", so the question whether the clearing-all-filter-fields approach would be acceptable became superfluous.
    - following this, bug 10193260 suddenly became an enhancement request (for reasons I still don't understand)
    - a workaround was suggested (for behaviour not perceived as a bug), "Clearing the search fields during taskflow exit in the backing bean (in the app)." for which I also received a modified version of my example application TableFilterDateFormatIssueApp-v0.04.zip with an implementation of the suggested workaround
    As an exercise to try an understand the suggested workaround (an because my example application seemed to have been modified using the currently yet-to-be-released JDeveloper 11.1.1.4.0) I re-implemented it in the example application
    at http://www.consideringred.com/files/oracle/2010/TableFilterDateFormatIssueApp-v0.05.zip
    It has a filter-emp-workaround-btf task-flow with a method-call activity on a managed-bean method, responsible for clearing the search fields, resulting in behaviour where the error "The date is not in the correct format." does not occur,
    as can be seen in the screencast at http://screencast.com/t/Nq7TkkRQ
      public void clearFilterFields()
        BindingContainer vBindingContainer =
          BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
        DCBindingContainer vDCBindingContainer = (DCBindingContainer)vBindingContainer;
        DCDataControl vDCDataControl = vDCBindingContainer.getDataControl();
        ApplicationModule vApplicationModule = vDCDataControl.getApplicationModule();
        ViewObject vViewObject = vApplicationModule.findViewObject("EmployeesVOVI");
        ViewCriteriaManager vViewCriteriaManager = vViewObject.getViewCriteriaManager();
        vViewCriteriaManager.clearViewCriterias();
        vViewObject.clearCache();
      }Because the managed-bean method requires access to the ADF Model binding layer to get to the View Object instance used for the filtered table, the method-call activity has a page element configured in DataBindings.cpx referring to the same usageId as the page element for the page fragment showing the filtered table. So that both the method-call and view activity depend on one and the same Binding Container (e.i. PageDef file).
    The method-call activity, responsible for clearing the search fields, would need to be called before each task-flow-return activity.
    As there can be multiple view activities with multiple filtered tables in a bounded task-flow, would that result in multiple method-call activities responsible for clearing search fields (all to be called before each task-flow-return activity)?
    It looks like a more general/generic approach is desirable for the suggested workaround to be feasible.
    - (q5) Does the suggested workaround imply (as bug 10193260 is not a bug) that all bounded task-flows with filtered tables should implement it to avoid errors about formatting?
    thanks

  • Waiting for the previously running task to complete issue

    I am running the full extract process , and one task SDE_ORA_InventoryProductDimension running for 18 hours and its status is "Waiting for the previously running task to complete"
    but all running tasked are completed and left tasks are queued by this task, so what make this issue happen?
    I restart the informatica server and the task running now!
    but for this task I run before it has ten million records , and it always make the dataware house server's cache full and server down,
    so how to handle this problem?

    Check if /*+ FULL(PER_ALL_PEOPLE_F) */ hint existed in the SDE_ORA_INVENTORYPRODUCTDIMENSION_FULL mapping Source qualifier?.
    I suggest you to raise an SR and check with your DBA's if they can do something to improve the Performance.

  • Bounded Task Flow Navigation Issue

    Hi,
    I'm using Studio Edition Version 11.1.2.3.0.
    I have a main page with a panel splitter. The right side has a dynamic region and the left side contains links to launch a bounded task flow in the dynamic region.
    One of my task flows is a search form and has a call to another bounded task flow when I click on a command link in the table.
    My issue is if I want to return to search form, clicking on the dynamic task flow link doesn't render the search page.
    I have a bean for my dynamic task flow and the taskFlowId variable shows the url of my search page, but the navigation does not happen.
    Is there something that needs to be reset for this to work?

    Hi Frank,
    Sorry about being vague.
    I've compiled a little project using the hr sample db that duplicates my issue.
    Let me know if you have issues downloading it.
    I can provide the project via email if needed.
    Change your db connection to whatever you've defined for the hr db. I have mine running on a slave machine.
    If you click on "Search", search for an employee and then load the employee details by clicking on the employee id link in the table, the region navigates to the employee details page.
    However, if you click on "Search" again, the region does not navigate to the search page, it stays on the employee details page.
    I'm hoping it's just a setting in the properties for the task flow or the page fragment, but I can pen some code if needed.

  • Adding Saved Searches task flow to a Page Template

    I am trying to add the Spaces "Saved Searches" task flow to my custom page template. I have tried a few different approaches and none seem to be working.
    First, I tried simply dragging and dropping the task flow from JDeveloper's Resource Palette into my template. JDeveloper created added the following to my template source code:
    +<af:region value="#{bindings.allsavedsearches1.regionModel}" id="pt_r1"/>+
    After uploading the changes to Spaces, there seemed to be no change to the rendered template.
    Second, I tried to simply add the task flow to a page in my test space via composer. However, as soon as I click the "Add" button next to the Saved Searches task flow, the page goes blank (white screen of death) and the following message shows up in the spaces error logs:
    javax.servlet.ServletException: com.sun.el.parser.ParseException: Encountered "\'" at line 1, column 65.
    Finally, I looked at how the out of the box templates implement the saved searches functionality. It appears that the saved searches use a custom folder in the Default Navigation Model. I looked at the source in the Default Navigation Model and found the following node:
    +<customFolder factoryClass="oracle.webcenter.search.view.rc.SearchServiceContextFactory" id="savedSearchesFolder" visible="true">+
    +<attributes resourceBundle="oracle.webcenter.webcenterapp.resource.WebCenterResourceBundle">+
    +<attribute attributeId="Description" isKey="true" resourceBundle="oracle.webcenter.webcenterapp.resource.WebCenterResourceBundle" value="NAV_APPLICATIONS_CUST_FOLDER_SEARCHES.DESCRIPTION"/>+
    +<attribute attributeId="IconURI" value="/adf/webcenter/foldersavedsearches_qualifier.png"/>+
    +<attribute attributeId="Title" isKey="true" resourceBundle="oracle.webcenter.webcenterapp.resource.WebCenterResourceBundle" value="NAV_APPLICATIONS_CUST_FOLDER_SEARCHES.TITLE"/>+
    +<attribute attributeId="WEBCENTER_SERVICE_ID" value="oracle.webcenter.search"/>+
    +</attributes>+
    +</customFolder>+
    I copied the entire node and put it in my navigation model. Upon rendering the template, I can see the new node in the navigation but when I click on it, nothing happens.
    Can someone please tell me if I am on the right track with any of these three approaches? Or where to look to diagnose the issues I am running into?
    Thanks,
    Joe

    UPDATE: I updated the "activation" property in the page def for the allsavedsearches task flow to be "deferred". Now I am getting an ADF popup menu with two menu items: "My Searches" and "Other Members" but clicking on the items does not trigger anything...
    Any thoughts? What additional information would be helpful for analyzing this issue?

  • Problem reentering task flow in dynamic region

    Hi All,
    I have problem with reentering task flow in dynamic region.
    JDeveloper/ADF 11.1.2.3.0
    Use Case:
    Application contains bussines modules(implemented as bounded task flows) displayed in dynamic region.
    In some modules, default activity is Method Call activity which performs some validations(input parameters, state of records in db, etc.)
    and if some conditions are not satisfied, shows message to the user and exits module (navigates to Task Flow Return activity).
    Problem:
    If user tries to start the same module again, nothing happens(message is not shown).
    If user choose some other module and after that start first module, message is shown(so I suppose this means that task flow was correctly exited first time but dynamic region state was not refreshed).
    Current implementation info:
    Dynamic region has attached regionNavigationListener which resets taskFlowId variable in dynamic region bean if regionNavigationEvent.getNewViewId() == null but this listener is not called if Method Call activity directly navigates to Task Flow Return activity.
    (if user navigates to Task Flow Return activity from button on some page, this works as expected)
    Also, I tried to reset taskFlowId variable from task flow finalizer and to programatically refresh region binding, but this still doesn't work.
    So, am I missing some point about refreshing dynamic region or this is bug in ADF?
    Thanks,
    Dario

    I don't have any popup.
    There is only page which contains dynamic region.
    This dynamic region can be empty or can contain one of business modules(bounded task flows) which are invoked from menu.
    In some cases business module must exit(by invoking task flow return activity) immediately after invocation(because some business validations fail).
    In this case, module will show message to the user.
    Problem is that if user call the same module again, nothing happens(message is not shown) because regionNavigationListener(which only purpose is to reset taskFlowId variable when business module exits) is not triggered when Method Call activity(which is default activity in BTF) navigates to Task Flow Return activity.
    Also, I tried to use Router activity instead Method Call, but problem still exists(regionNavigationListener is not triggered).
    Obviously, regionNavigationListener is called only if navigating from page(or fragment) and this is probably a bug in ADF so I opened SR.

  • Reinitialize a task flow on click of row in a table

    Hi All
    I am using JDev 11.1.1.6 and WLS 10.3.6
    I have a requirement where i would like to re initialize the task flow each time by clicking on row of another table.
    I have a table in a page and there is other region which I need to refresh every time any row is clicked on the table.
    I am using the activation flag and active property in the task flow binding
    Any suggestions ?

  • How to pass request parameter to bounded task flow?

    Hi, this is probably a simple question, but just not sure how this should be done. I have a .jspx that contains an ADF region for a bounded task flow. The task flow has a required input parameter, e.g. objectId. I want to be able to pass a request parameter that's sent into the .jspx page to the task flow. For example, Test.jspx?id=123 should pass 123 for the objectId input parameter of the task flow.
    When adding the ADF region to the page, the Edit Task Flow Binding dialog prompted for a value for the objectId input parameter. I wasn't sure what I can put for the value so I just hard-coded something like 123 for now. So in the page definition file, sometihng like the following got added:
        <taskFlow id="testtaskflow1"
                  taskFlowId="/WEB-INF/taskflow/test/test-task-flow.xml#test-task-flow"
                  activation="deferred"
                  xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/controller/binding">
          <parameters>
            <parameter id="objectId" value="123"/>
          </parameters>
        </taskFlow>I'm wondering is there some EL expression I can use for the parameter value that gets the value of the id request parameter passed into the .jspx? Thanks.

    you have to use it like.. #{bean.idValue} and in the getter of the id Value use it like
    private int idValue;
    //setter
    //getter
    public int getIdValue(){
              HttpServletRequest request =
                (HttpServletRequest)FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().getRequest();
            int id = request.getParameter("id");
           return id;
    }

  • How to access BPM 11g payload or process varibles in ADF task flow

    I am trying to view/edit data in a UI tied to a database using a foreign key, requestId. The foreign key comes from a BPM process where it is passed into the task flow, from a human task. The foreign key comes from process variables or payload values. I know I can simply load the payload in BPM with data from the tables, but I'm looking for a better solution to leverage ADF Business components to view and edit the data directly in the UI.
    The BPM process uses a web service to kick off the process. The web services takes a primary key as a parameter to reference a column in the database table. The database is pre-populated with content and a primary key reference. The first activity is a user activity. I want the task flow behind the user activity to accept this primary key and use it to locate the desired row in the database so views associated with database bounded ADF Business Components can work to present the data in the UI.
    I've tried two approaches to the problem. The first uses the operation setCurrentRowWithKeyValue. The other modifies the SQL where clause, used by the ADFbc Iterator, to only return a row for the given requestId. Both approaches fail to work because I don't know how to access the BPM payload or data variables coming into the task flow. Here's the snipet of code I used to try to set the row using setCurrentRowWithKey value:
    public String setRequestId() {
    FacesContext context = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    Object requestObj = context.getApplication().evaluateExpressionGet(
    context, "#{bindings.RequestId.inputValue}", Number.class);
    if (requestObj== null)
    return null;
    Number requestId;
    requestId = (Number)requestObj;
    DCIteratorBinding itr = (DCIteratorBinding)
    getBindings().get ("PatfRequestHdrView1");
    itr.setCurrentRowWithKeyValue(requestId.toString() );
    return null;
    I haven't gotten very far with the second approach, modified SQL where clause, since I don't know Groovy. I think I need something like:
    adf.object.viewObj.RequestId. But there isn't a viewObject associated with BPM data, so I'm sure this particular expression won't work.
    Any help you can give me is very appreciated.
    Regards,
    Mark

    The first thing I want the task flow to do is display a page with a form showing the values from the database. This is why I tried to call the method first. If I add the setCurrentRowWithKey to the form as a button, I can get the form to load the data, but it's a two step process, requiring the user to click a button. The method approach throws the following exceptioin

  • Accessing Human Task Payload from ADF Task Flow

    Hi
    Using jDeveloper 11g TP4 SOA...
    The scenario is this:
    1. We have created a Human Task which has parameters accountId and accountType in the payload.
    2. We have then created a Task Flow based on that human task.
    3. Inside the web folder with task flow we have *4 task display forms* (jspx pages).
    4. In the task flow we have the 4 pages and then a router
    5. Now we want the router to look in the payload of the human task and based on the accountType redirect to the correct task display form.
    Problem: We can't access the human task data control from the router in the task flow.
    Does anyone have some insigt into how we can read the accountType from the payload and then pick the correct task display form?

    Hi victor,
    i'm using a SOA(OSB) based task service, but i think that you have to use a "task service" (or something like this) to update your task
    this is my routine
    public Task updateTask(Task task) throws Exception {
    TaskServiceContextTaskBaseType taskUpd =
    new TaskServiceContextTaskBaseType();
    taskUpd.setWorkflowContext(getWorkFlowContext());
    taskUpd.setTask(task);
    return taskService.updateTask(taskUpd);
    where taskService is the port of my proxy.
    Hope this help

  • How to go to previous page in task flow using 'BACK' button in the browser?

    Hi...
    I have created system using ADF application that can detect 'BACK' button in the browser(e.g. firefox and google chrome).Everytime i click the 'BACK' button in the browser,it will prompt out message that ask user whether want to 'stay in the current page' or 'leave the page'. Once i click 'leave the page' it will take me to the login page.
    Is there any possibility for go back to previous page in task flow when user click on browser's back button? By the way, the task flow is in the page fragment.
    can anyone tell me how to do it?Need this step urgently..
    Thanks in advance.
