SAVE the installer to your hard drive (do not use the "Run" option); save it to your Desktop so that you can find it. When the download is complete, close whatever browser you have open, click or double-click the file you downloaded and see if it installs without a problem.
The downloader is a self-extracting archive and should not need or use 7-zip. I have 7-zip installed on my system and it does not interfere with nor is it used in the Firefox install process. Hopefully, you have not set the downloading of .exe files to be associated with 7-zip.

Please try the following steps assuming its a MAC:
1) Open Activity monitor and Force quit Adobe CEF Helper, Creative cloud, Adobe IPC Broker & Crash Deamon if available.
2) Try to open, if doesn't work then go to Applications>> Adobe Creative cloud>> Right click>> Get Info>> Click on the Add sign>> Select the user you are logged in>> Give Read and write access.
3) If that doesn't work then enable the root user and launch to update there, check this link on how to enable/sign in to root user Enabling and using the "root" user in Mac OS X

Yes, you have to find the catalog file from the CC trial (use your operating system to search for it, the file name ends with .LRCAT), and then once you find it, open the LR5 trial and open the catalog you just found using File->Open Catalog

I started a Creative Cloud abonement and try to install applications. But the download of the "adobe creative cloud desktop" always stops with error code 207 (No answer from server, try later). I am trying for 6 hours but the problem is still the same. What can I do?

So what SL disc are you using? The retail 10.6.3 disc (white with the snow leopard pic) or a grey disc borrowed from another Mac?

I beleive they used the same concept that they did in iOS. One folder deep. If you think they should implement somehting more, then please use the feedback links in the forums FAQs to leave your comments and suggestions.

I cannot open links or download anything. It looks like it might be going to download, but then it just goes away - no error message

I am taking an online class and trying to download assignments from Blackboard. I have never had a problem before. It seems to download, but I can't open it. It doesn't give me an error message; it just goes away. Then after that, I get lots and lots of new tabs opening and I can't make it stop unless I turn the computer off. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, I have run a full virus scan which turned up nothing. Do you have any idea why this is happening. Thanks.

Blackboard is slow at supporting new versions of Firefox, and they never support Beta versions. Look under Supported Browsers for the version of Firefox that is supported for the version of Vista or Campus Edition your school uses. That information should be posted at the bottom of most Blackboard / WebCT pages.

Depending upon which version your school is using, you will have to use Firefox 3.0.x, 3.5.x, 3.6.x or maybe even Firefox 2.0.0.20 if your school hasn't updated their software in recent years, when accessing the Blackboard site.
My advice is to install the Firefox Portable version that you need for Blackboard on your computer, and use that installation only for Blackboard. Continue to use 3.6.x or 4.0 for all other web browsing. The Portable version won't affect the official version at all.

I don't think I can access the crash report? Excuse the ignorant questions I'm about to make am a relative tech novice.
Soo - as mentioned every time I open photoshop it crashes - it just says there's an error and the program will shut down and if there's a solution windows will notify me. Then nothing...
I've tried to look in photoshop files for the detailed crash report & the system event viewer but cannot find a file with those names. I've also looked in the windows files for files with those names but cannot find them either - so I don't know where to look.
Any guidance would be great.

I purchased a redemption code from the school that I work at (I'm staff that will be using the programs to work from home.) I followed the links provided and entered the redemption code which brought me to download the creative cloud desktop app. After I signed in I wasn't able to do anything but download free trials even though I paid for access to the entire creative suite. Any ideas on how to fix this?
