Trying to login over a form using ssl with ldap

i am trying to loging over a form using ssl. i have kept the cacert at the specified /usr/java/jdk1.5.0_03/jre/lib/security/cacerts.
i am getting this error.
javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Connection has been shutdown: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
kindly help it is urgent.
Regards,

A possible reason for this is the requirement for something in the 'Path' field such as public_html - some ISPs don't use this, some do, or something different. This is a folder in your server space, and its contents represent the published webspace, so if you don't have the path when it's required you are publishing to a level on the server one above what outsiders can read. This is something you'd have to check with Easyspace.

  • Is it possible to use SSL with LDAP, but not rest of Hyperion environment?

    Hello Experts,
    We need to encrypt the user credentials passed between LDAP and Shared Services. For this, I believe, we need to use SSL. And for that, we need to SSL enable the Web App Server that Shared Services runs off? If we enable SSL on this, is it possible to continue using non-SSL versions of App & Web servers in the rest of the Hyperion environment? This is because SSL will cause a negative impact to performance, and we want to reduce that impact as much as possible.
    Environment:
    Shared Services 9.3.1.0.7 on WebSphere Application Server 6.0.2.11 on Windows 2003
    Planning 9.3.1.1

    Both windows and osx do a few things that can cause problems, they do what you say, they assume that you will connect to the same network you last connected and try to use the same configuration, they try to skip most steps like dhcp and arp and it will probably work fine if it actually is the same network and no one else got the same IP otherwise they will have to go through all the steps.
    I have seen a blog post describing the differences a while ago but now I can't find it and I don't remember how I got there, I guess that if you search long enough you might stumble upon some description of this. From what I remember, the short story is that on linux programs go by the book and try to be good neighbors, windows and osx don't and they can cause trouble just for the sake of shaving a few seconds of the time to get connected, the thing is most of the times it works fine

  • Configuring SquirrelMail to use SSL with SMTP

    I ran the conf.pl script to have SquirrelMail access my IMAP server via SSL, and everything works.
    I then tried to use SSL with SMTP as well but when I used SquirrelMail to send mail, I got an error saying "Can't open SMTP stream". What is the correct setting to tell conf.pl to use?
    I had secure SMTP enabled and chose CRAM-MD5 for the authentication method.
    I actually have my web server and smtp server on the same machine, so this is more of a hypothetical question. In the end I turned off secure SMTP and set authentication back to none.
    Ben

    I don't have access to logs right now, but to answer your other question, SSL works fine when sending from Mail.
    But with Mail, I supply the username and password; which user does SquirrelMail use to send?

    hi.
    can anybody send me code to create login form using swings .
    thnaks in advance..

    You do realise that you can't create Swing on a JSP page?
    You have to use HTML.
    If you want to use Swing, the java must be running at the client end, which means you need an Applet, and a completely different forum.

    I assume you did create a keystore and trustore, right?
    Could you verify that the paths to these files you give in your java options
    are correct?
    You could also try to activate debug traces - in particular security traces - see
    at the end of this blog:
    http://blogs.sun.com/jmxetc/entry/troubleshooting_connection_problems_in_jconsole
    This may help you diagnose what is going wrong.

  • ADOBE Form Using Table with dynamic number of rows

    Hi All
    First some information about our infrastructure:
    - AdobeDesigner 7.1 in the Developerstudio
    - SAP-Portal 7.0 SP15
    I have a View with tabstrips and behind the tabs i have defined an event. On one Tab I included a ADOBE-Form with Table. The Data for the PDF sould only filled in the context for the Form when i jump to this Tab. I created the Form by using this documentation [https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e0859ad1-53aa-2a10-78ae-99e41c407669].
    To fill the tablecontext I use the following Code:
    IPrivateAnlegenBANFView.IPositionenElement position = null;
    IPrivateAnlegenBANFView.IPositionenNode posNode = wdContext.nodePositionen();
    int NUM_5_TIMES = 5;
    for (int i = 0; i < NUM_5_TIMES; i) {
    IPrivateAnlegenBANFView.IPositionenElement posElement = wdContext.createPositionenElement();
    +posElement.setMaterial("" + i);+
    +posElement.setKurztext("Test" + i);+
    +posElement.setWarengruppe("Warengr" + i);+
    posNode.addElement(posElement);
    If i put this code in the wdDoInit method it  works fine and shows me 5 Rows. But if I put the code in the Action of the tabstrip it shows me only one row. I checked the entries of the context and there are 5 entries (showed them in a WD-Table).
    Can someone tell me what im doing wrong?
    Thanks for a answer and kind regards
    Pascal

    Hi All
    finally i found the solution for the problem.
    When you define the interactive Form in the view do not define the property "dataSource" of UI-Element Interactive Form it seems, that the binding is static and not dynamic.
    Add the following source to the viewCotroller
    Global Part of the Source:
    private static IWDInteractiveForm form = null;
    Method wdDoModify:
    if (firstTime) {
      form = (IWDInteractiveForm) view.getElement("InteractiveForm");
    When you have an Event where you fill your Contextnode which you want to display in the table of an Adobe Form Use this code:
    Action:
    public void onActionFillTab(com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDCustomEvent wdEvent ){
      //@@begin onActionFillTab(ServerEvent)
         * Code to fill the Node for AdobeForm Table
        form.bindDataSource(wdContext.nodeTabelle().getNodeInfo());
      //@@end
    If you want to clear your table and show it directly use in the action the following code:
    wdContext.nodeTabelle().invalidate();
    form.bindDataSource(wdContext.nodeTabelle().getNodeInfo());
    Kind regards

  • Call form using link with autoquery, BUG

    If one of the text fields passed to the form contains the
    character "&" the form autoquery will not work.
    The character "&" is probably used as prefix for parameters.
    Does anyone know a workaround other than telling the users not
    to use "&" in their text fields?
    Thanks

    Ok thanks, but now how this is more of a pl/sql question, but how can I check if it has a value. I tried checking for a value like this...
    if :parameter.generation_id <> null
    -- do logic
    else
    -- do logic
    The problem is that it has a value in it during when_new_form_instance, but it wont detect it using this stmt. It thinks its still null even though it has value in it

  • Using SSL with Apache Virtual Hosts

    I am configuring Apache to use 3 virtual Host(Named base virtual Host).
    I would like to run SSL on two of the 3 virtual host.
    Do I need to gen a certificate for each virtual host or can I just use 1?

    William,
    I thought I'd give my 2 cents on this...
    Is there any particular reason as to why you are using named based virtual hosts?
    Apache recommends using IP based virtual hosts over name based virtual hosts.
    Go to http://httpd.apache.org/docs/dns-caveats.html and read the discussion on IP based virtual hosts and name based virtual hosts. The document describes the drawbacks to using the name-based approach.
    Hope this helps!

  • FRM-92102 in Forms using Webutil with JInitiator

    Hi Gurus,
    I'm facing the error FRM-92102 in Forms in some clients, that's driving my crazy. The facts are:
    * Oracle Application Server 10g R2 10.1.2 with Patchset 10.1.2.2.0 applied (left to apply patchset as doc 404477.1 in Metalink) on Windows 2003 Server Std. Ed. 64 bits.
    * JInitiator 1.3.1.26 on all clients (Windows XP and Windows 2000)
    * WebUtil 10.1.2.2
    * heartBeat = 35, set in App's section of formsweb.cfg
    * networkRetries = 60 in App's section of formsweb.cfg
    * Modified versions of baseHTMLjinitiator(to be used with JInitiator) and baseHTMLjpi to take into account the heartBeat and networkRetries parameters.
    * FORMS_TIMEOUT set to 30 in application.env
    I've seen that this error happens with Windows XP clients only (with SP2 and/or SP3 applied), while in Windows 2000 with SP4 I get no error at all and the Form works and ens without any problem.
    I've seen that increasing networkRetries parameter increase the likelihood of Forms to end normally, but that doesn't seem a good solution: at which value must I bring it to ?

    Hi Michael,
    I've done what the Microsoft note states and the error takes longer to appear, but it does.
    I've done some netstat -an captures before using the Forms App (before the error) and after. Here are:

  • Using SSL with client auth from a JNLP-launched app

    We have an application that is launched by JNLP, and which needs to make a mutually authenticated SSL connection to a server. The client cert and trusted certs that it needs to do this are stored in the Sun\Java\Deployment\security directory where JNLP knows to look for them. And Java WebStart itself seems to be able to use these certs just fine. However, our app seems blithely unaware of the location of the keystore/truststore unless we explicitly set the system properties javax.net.ssl.keystore and truststore. But we don't want to do that (it could be different for different users), and we shouldn't have to do that. So the question is, how can we use the same KeyManager/TrustManager that Java WebStart itself is using? Are they somehow available for the JNLP-launched app to use?
    Failing that, is there a way for a JNLP-launched app to query the deployment properties? There are a bunch of properties to direct the behavior of Java WebStart (see [http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/deployment/deployment-guide/properties.html]), such as deployment.user.security.trusted.cacerts. These don't seem to be System properties. Can the app see them, or are the "private" to Java WebStart itself?

  • Sent data as an HTML form using HTTP with Prolog

    Hello,
    I am trying to sent data to a marketplaces via HTTP Post like it is described in the online documentation ( http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/14/80243b4a66ae0ce10000000a11402f/frameset.htm ) but it doesn't work.
    I am trying to send 2 Post variables. An account ID and the content (an IDoc)
    I made the following entry in the prolog:
    id=abc&content=
    I wrote a short php-Script to check weather the variables are sent correctly..
    [code]<?php
    $id = $_POST['id'];
    $content = $_POST['content'];
    $filename = "Filename ".$id.".xml";
    /* Open a new File */
    $fp = fopen($filename,"w");
    fwrite($fp,$content);
    /* Close file */
    fclose($fp);
    ?>[/code]
    This script just creates a new file with the id as the filename and the content as the content of the file.
    When I run the test, the script receives no variables...
    Is there something wrong with the prolog?
    Yours
    Thomas

    Thomas,
    did you try <b>&</b>id=abc&content= ?
    Just to stick to the documentation....
    Did you play with a <i>?</i> - may also help.
    Finally - did you try with a manually entered post (e.g. via telnet) whether your php is correct. But I assume you know what you do....
    Helge
