Trying to publish a java object to PL/SQL

Im really new to java and I've been trying to figure this out all day. Can someone PLEASE help me? Im trying to publish a java class I found off the internet to PL/SQL. I Can't seem to get the wrapper right... what am I doing wrong? The class is posted below and all the words bolded is what i've tried so far.. everything seems right for me, as I've done this the same way with a few other java objects..

  • How to reference multiple instances of the same Java object from PL/SQL?

    Dear all,
    I'm experimenting with calling Java from PL/SQL.
    My simple attempts work, which is calling public static [java] methods through PL/SQL wrappers from SQL (and PL/SQL). (See my example code below).
    However it is the limitation of the public static methods that puzzels me.
    I would like to do the following:
    - from PL/SQL (in essence it needs to become a forms app) create one or more objects in the java realm
    - from PL/SQL alter properties of a java object
    - from PL/SQL call methods on a java object
    However I fail to see how I can create multiple instances of an object and reference one particular object in the java realm through public static methods.
    My current solution is the singleton pattern: of said java object I have only 1 copy, so I do not need to know a reference to it.
    I can just assume that there will only ever be 1 of said object.
    But I should be able to make more then 1 instance of an object.
    To make it more specific:
    - suppose I have the object car in the java realm
    - from PL/SQL I want to create a car in the java realm
    - from PL/SQL I need to give it license plates
    - I need to start the engine of a scpecific car
    However if I want more then 1 car then I need to be able to refrence them. How is this done?
    Somehow I need to be able to execute the following in PL/SQL:
    DECLARE
    vMyCar_Porsche CAR;
    vMyCar_Fiat CAR;
    BEGIN
    vMyCar_Porsche = new CAR();
    vMyCar_Fiat = new CAR();
    vMyCar_Porsche.setLicensePlates('FAST');
    vMyCar_Porsche.startEngine();
    vMyCar_Fiat.killEngine();
    END;
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Ruben
    My current example code is the following:
    JAVA:
    ===
    CREATE OR REPLACE AND RESOLVE JAVA SOURCE NAMED CODAROUL."RMG/BO/RMG_OBJECT" as package RMG.BO;
    public class RMG_OBJECT {
    private static RMG_OBJECT instance = new RMGOBJECT();
    private String rmgObjectNaam;
    private RMG_OBJECT(){
    this.rmgObjectNaam = "NonDetermined";
    public static String GET_RMGOBJECT_NAAM () {
    String toestand = null;
    if (_instance == null) {toestand = "DOES NOT EXIST";} else { toestand = "EXISTS";};
    System.out.println("instance : " + toestand);
    System.out.println("object name is : " + _instance.rmgObjectNaam);
    return _instance.rmgObjectNaam;
    public static Integer SET_RMGOBJECT_NAAM (String IN)
    try
    _instance.rmgObjectNaam = IN;
    return 1;
    catch (Exception e)//catch
    System.out.println("Other Exception: " + e.toString());
    e.printStackTrace();
    return 5;
    } //catch
    PL/SQL Wrapper:
    ==========
    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION CODAROUL.SET_RMGOBJECT_NAAM(NAAM IN VARCHAR2) return NUMBER AS
    LANGUAGE JAVA NAME 'RMG.BO.RMG_OBJECT.SET_RMGOBJECT_NAAM (java.lang.String) return java.lang.Integer';
    Calling from SQL:
    ==========
    CALL dbms_java.set_output(2000);
    select CODAROUL.GET_RMGOBJECT_NAAM() from dual;

    You can do this by manually creating a new iterator binding in your binding tab.
    So instead of dragging the VO directly to the page, go to the binding tab, add a new executable iterator binding, and point to that one from your ELs in the page itself.

  • Generation Error - when trying to publish a Java web service

    Hi All,
    I keep getting the following Generation Error -- java.util.NoSuchElementException_ when I'm trying to create a Java Web Service using the jdeveloper wizard.
    I have 2 entities and 2 stateless session beans acting as their facades. One entity has a One-One(FK) relationship with the other entity. I test out the entities and session beans using the test client and the OC4J embedded container and everything seems to work. When I try to generate a Java WebService from one of the entities I keep getting the "Generation Error". Could someone please provide me with some insight into why I'm facing this problem, because it seemed fine when I published J2EE web services previously and now this happens and I cant seem to publish web services anymore. Everytime I keep getting the same GenerationError. Thanks in advance.

    Without going into any technical discussion about the code, my first question is what JDK version was used to create this which was imported into the form? Understand that Forms 10 runs on JDK 1.4.2, so if you used any newer JDK version, likely there will be problems.

    how about exposing your Java Class as a stored procedure? then you can invoke it from PL/SQL through it's Call Spec

    I would normally do:
    <jsp:useBean id="access" scope="session" class="YourPackageName.UIAccessCheckNat()" />
    Then int nbrwdSifd = access.checkNbrwsSfid(); should work
    You MUST put your class into a package:

  • Access Java object from Javascript

    Hi
    I'm trying to invoke a Java object from Javascript (scriptengine and all that).
    I want to add scripting features to a GeneXus Java generated app... and I have very basic skills on java too. Sorry for that ;o).
    This is the java code to pass "params" to the scriptengine:
    engine.put("remoteHandle",remoteHandle);
    engine.put("context", context); The remoteHandle (int) and context (com.genexus.ModelContext) pass trough all the gx-java generated programs.
    This javascript works fine:
    importClass(Packages.uftestjs);
    new uftestjs(remoteHandle).execute( ) ;The remoteHandle conversion is ok (javascript-number to int). The context is optional.
    But if I want to pass context:
    importClass(Packages.uftestjs);
    new uftestjs(remoteHandle, context).execute( ) ;Fails with this:
    "javax.script.ScriptException: sun.org.mozilla.javascript.internal.EvaluatorException: Java constructor for 'uftestjs' with arguments 'number,javax.script.SimpleScriptContext' not found."
    Obviously, no conversion is possible with context (javax.script.SimpleScriptContext to com.genexus.ModelContext).
    There is some way to reference de original context, by the object Id??? or something like that???
    Thanks in advance for any replies!!!
    Greetings from Chile. (I hope you can understand my english!)

    Hi
    Well, since this topic is about java programming I think the place is right here.
    (I use some tricks to embed java statements in genexus objects...)
    I will try to get some help at Artech (GX) on how to build something... to get the conversion needed.
    But they are not focussed on support this kind of questions.
    Anyway, I want to know: do I can to reference an object by the objId?
    I want to code something like this:
    com.genexus.ModelContext context =
                     (com.genexus.ModelContex)getTheObjectFromTheJVM(theObjectId);(powered by google translator, ha!)

  • Java object corrupted on DBCrash while its on the AQ

    I have a question here. Is there any documented case that anybody has reported (or any discussion) - that when somebody tried to push a Java object into the AQ Queue, at that precise moment, the DB crashed and so, the object made it into the Queue (was committed and all) - but some attributes of the structure disappeared – i.e., got deleted, so that only the partial data object made it into the Queue. The database is Oracle 8i.
    If you have faced similar issues in your work or any pointers to the problem, please share it. I am not sure if this caused the issue. But I dont want to ignore this possibilty. So want to get feedback from you all.

    Hello Yogesh,
    Applying filter is not possible in OVS.
    However the labels for input fields and column labels are possible.
    For that do the following
    Write the following code in the adDoinit of the custom controller
    ISimpleTypeModifiable ismType1 =
                        wdContext
                             .node<OVSOutputNode>()
                             .getNodeInfo()
                             .getAttribute(<name of the attribute>)
                             .getModifiableSimpleType();
                   ismType1.setColumnLabel(<text for column label>);
                   ISimpleTypeModifiable ismType1a =
                        wdContext
                             .node<OVSInputNode>()
                             .getNodeInfo()
                             .getAttribute(<name of the attribute>)

    Hi Vikram and Lilybiri,
    Thanks for your responses :-)
    I'm working on Windows 8.1... I think that I may have found the issue... I was saving the file in a project directory rather than the default My Captivate Projects folder...
    Perhaps Captivate was struggling to find resources it needed?
    It hasn't crashed for a while now, though it is struggling - I'm working with a 54 slide PPT presentation that is linked and it takes a very long time to interact.
    Sometimes it says that I've removed slides, which I haven't?
    Best,
    Christy.

  • Error trying to publish (real time) to delivery: No response from remote execute trying to save assettype [error was -103].

    Hi all,
    I'm trying to publish for first time to a new environment (delivery).
    The light of target destination is green.
    When i click on "inicialize" i get these errors and in the docs i cannot find why or what i have to do.
    Trying to publish asset types during inicialization it returns this error:
    No response from remote execute trying to save assettype [error was -103].
    Looking for the meaning for this i found: No table. What does it mean? Why the tool has not created the table?
    And then, the next error message is shown (all of them are shown in the same screenshot) trying to mirroring. It might have to do with the previos error message... but i have no idea!
    -12011. No response from remote execute trying to save assettype [error was -103]
    sites.log in delivery environment says as follows

    Does anybody know how to help here?
    Thank you very much.

    What SQL server driver are you using, Microsoft's or the jTDS driver (see jTDS JDBC Driver)? It may be worth trying the other.
    Also, can you enable
    com.fatwire.logging.cs=DEBUG
    in log4j.properties and retest, then post the entire resulting sites.log and application server log somewhere for us to see? e.g somewhere like pastebin.com

  • Dropping java object from Oracle 8i

    We areaable to load java methods and publish them to SQL in Oracle 8i using Jdev Deploy wizard, but we can not drop them thru
    Open View As->Database Browser of the connection object, they drop menu is greyed out/disable. What kind privilege we need to drop java object from Oracle 8i? Or there is something wrong with the database setup.
    Thank you very much

    There are three options:
    Normal
    SysDBA
    SysOper
    I have tried the three of them, none of them works, is there third option SYS?
    Thank you very much.

  • What is the BEST practice - use BO or Java Object in process as webservice

    Hi All,
    I have my BP published as web service. I have defined My process input & output as BOs. My BP talks to DB through DAO layer(written in JAVA) which has Java objects. So I have BO as well as java Objects. Since I am collecting user input in BO, I have to assign individual values contained in BO to Java object's fields.
    I want to reduce this extra headache & want to use either of BO or Java object.I want to know What is the best practice - use BO or Java object as process input. If it is BO,how I can reuse BOs in Java?
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks,
    Sujata P. Galinde

    Hi Mark,
    Thanks for your response. I also wanted to use java object only. When I use java object as process input argument..it is fine. But when I try to create Process web service, I am getting compilation error - "data type not supported".....
    To get rid of this error, I tried to use heir (BO inheriting from java class). But while invoking process as web service, it is not asking for fields that are inherited from java class.
    Then I created Business Object with a field of type java class... This also is not working. While sending request, it is giving an error that - field type for fields from java class not found.
    Conclusion - not able to use java object as process(exposed as web service) input argument .
    What is the Best & feasible way to accomplist the task - Process using DAO in Java & exposed as web service.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sujata

    Landscape:We have both BW 3.5 and EP 6.0, SP 16 on the same instance in
    same physical machine. EP 6.0 works on J2EE engine as an add-in installtion.
    Steps we followed for the integration of EP with BW:
    1)Create RFC Destination in J2EE Engine:
    Parameters:
    Program ID: xyz
    Gateway host: abc.ad.company.com
    Gateway service: sapgw00
    Application server host:abc.ad.company.com
    System number: 00
    Client: BID
    Language: EN
    User: sapjsf
    Password: ********
    2)Maintain RFC Destination for SAP EP 6.0
    Parameters:
    RFC destination: SAP_EP
    Connection type: T for TCP/IP connection
    Description: SAP EP RFC Destination
    Technical Settings:
    - Type of activation: Registered server program
    - Program ID: xyz
    - Gateway host: abc.ad.company.com
    - Gateway service: sapgw00
    Logon/Security:
    - Send SAP Logon Ticket: Activated
    Special Options:
    Unicode
    3)Maintain Portal Server Settings for SAP EP 6.0 in table RSPOR_T_PORTAL
    in BW 3.5
    RFC destination: SAP_EP
    System name: BIDEV
    Default: Checked
    Portal URL prefix: http://abc.ad.company.com:50000
    RM prefix for BW metadata: <empty>
    KM service URL: <empty>
    P.S.:We have maintained one more dummy entry as per the SAP Note 815044
    in the table RSPOR_T_PORTAL.
    4)Maintain Single Sign-On in SAP BW
    In transaction RZ10, We have maintained following settings:
    login/create_sso2_ticket=2
    login/accept_sso2_ticket=1
    5)Export BW Certificate to SAP BW and
    6)Import BW Certificate to SAP EP 6.0
    We have followed the above mentioned two steps.
    7)Create BW System in SAP EP 6.0
    Parameters:
    Log on methods: SAPLOGONTICKET
    We have created the BW system and the Connection test in WAS Connection
    is working fine.
    8)Configure User Management in SAP EP 6.0
    This step is not maintained as our scenario does not demand it.
    9)Export Portal Certificate to SAP EP 6.0 and
    10)Import Portal Certificate to SAP BW
    This step is also maintained as per Performance Assistant guidelines in
    SPRO.
    The user that we are trying to log into BeX Web Query Analyzer is
    Amarnath_rr who has 'SAP ALL' rights and the same user in EP is assigned'Super Admin' as well as 'Content Admin' role.
    Can anyone throw any light on wat the error might be??

    Ricky,
    a couple of clarifications :
    1. Does the report execute independently on the web - when you execute in Query view over IE or through a web template
    2. Check if SSO is properly configured - you can check if SSO is enabled by using TCode STRUST in BW. - the status of PSE should be Green.
