Trying to run applications on MS-DOS windows2000

I'm starting using java, but I still can not run a program under a MS-DOS windows in a Windows2000 machine, I configured on the Enviroment variable the JAVA_HOME, PATH & CLASSPATH, and I'm able to compile the programs but when trying to run, I get the following error message
" Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: DIGITO"
DIGITO is the name of my program. Does anybody has any suggestions waht I should do?

You dont need to set the classpath on Win 2k. In fact, I have heard that it causes probs if you do set it!
Check that the name of your java file is the same as the name of the class that has the main() method.
Same as in Identical. Including Case.
You file DIGITO.java should have a
public class DIGITO{}
which should have a method
public void main(String[] args){}

  • Error #1053 - when trying to run application

    Hello All,
    I have a problem and would be happy if you could help.
    When I am trying to run an application as Web Application from Flash Builder 4.6, I receive the next error message:
    VerifyError: Error #1053: Illegal override of getHeaderItemsLength in mx.controls.AdvancedDataGrid.
    at flash.display::MovieClip/nextFrame()
    at mx.core::FlexModuleFactory/deferredNextFrame()[E:\dev\4.y\frameworks\projects\framework\s rc\mx\core\FlexModuleFactory.as:730]
    at mx.core::FlexModuleFactory/update()[E:\dev\4.y\frameworks\projects\framework\src\mx\core\ FlexModuleFactory.as:503]
    at mx.core::FlexModuleFactory/moduleCompleteHandler()[E:\dev\4.y\frameworks\projects\framewo rk\src\mx\core\FlexModuleFactory.as:828]
    It is worth to mention that the "html" file, that is generated by Flash Builder, and the one, that is generated after runnung a dedicated "bat" file, are exactly the same (compared them in Beyond Compare).So I assume the problem is in the environment (SDK?).
    While compiling the application I have received the next warnings, maybe this is somehow connected to the run time error or may help to identify it?
    1. 'handler' has been deprecated.  Please use 'function clickHandler'.
    2. 3608: 'Stroke' has been deprecated since 4.0.  Please use 'SolidColorStroke'.
    3. Dashboard.staticLayout has been deprecated. Use staticLayout property of the view block instead.
    4. Data binding will not be able to detect assignments to "_objectPropertySection".
    Thank you all,
    Felix.

  • Error Message when trying to run Applications Module in OA Framework

    Below is the message that I received when trying to run my Applicaitons Module in test mode. When I click the error message I navigate to "public class TpcApBanksEOImpl extends OAEntityImpl". I was told to put "abstract" before "class" and to run it. It did compile after that, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me why.
    Error(12,8): class test_xxtpc.bc4j.TpcApBanksImpl should be declared abstract; it does not define method setLastUpdateLogin(oracle.jbo.domain.Number) in class oracle.apps.fnd.framework.server.OAEntityImpl

    User,
    Basically, an abstract method is a method in a class where just the signature is defined, and no implementation is provided. What you are being told by the compiler is that the method setLastupdateLogin is abstract, meaning that neither TpcApBanksImpl nor OAEntityImpl nor any of it's parents implement that method; therefore, your TpcApBanksImpl must be declared abstract.
    Hope this Helps,
    John

    After you registered your application as a SSO partner application did you use the information from Oracle SSO (home URL, success URL, Logout URL, app_name etc) and loaded it into the APEX_SSO schema using the regapp.sql script from the ssosdk?

    Hi,
    I am completley new to SAP netweaver so please forgive my ignorance.
    First I installed SAP Composotion Environment and SAP Netweaver 7.1 both on XP Professional (Service Pack 2). They both installed succesfully.
    I then created a sample EJB application which I want to run, to test the installation works.
    - I am selecting the index.jsp created.
    - Right click and Run on Server
    - I choose an existing server (SAP Server <CE1>)
    - Then I select my browser
    - Then I press finish.
    The installation stalls at 7%
    Then I insert my username and password

    Hello Steve,
    how is the Java instance started? Please check the start profile:
    /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/profile/<SID>_DVEBMGS##_<hostname>
    Check whether the following parameters are missing:
    rdisp/j2ee_start_control = 1
    rdisp/j2ee_start = 1
    This is usually the root cause of such problem. If this is your case, please put these parameters on the profile and restart the instance, then repeat the import.
    I hope this helps

  • Trying to run application in the background

    Hello there,
    I have written a small app using Apple Script. From the editor I have saved it as application and would like to run it as a background process. That is, I don't want it to show in the list of active applications I can switch to when I press command-tab. It does not matter if it is displayed in the dock or not. What I want to avoid is that every time that I switch to a different application that windowless application is also listed. By the way, I'm launching the application as a start up application and I have selected to hide the application, but it does not help, so I'm not sure if I'm missing anything. Any advise will be appreciated.
    MV

    01. Save the AppleScript code as an 'Application Bundle', via 'Script Editor's 'File, Save As...' menu items' 'File Format:' popup buttons' 'Application Bundle' menu item.
    02. In 'Finder' - '<control>' click (or right click, if using a multiple button mouse) on your just saved 'Application Bundle' application, and select the 'Show Package Contents' menu item. A window containing a folder 'Contents' will appear.
    03. Double click on the 'Contents' folder. A Window, titled 'Contents' will appear.
    04. Using 'Property List Editor' (installed when installing 'Xcode') open the file 'Info.plist'. A window titled 'Info.plist' will appear.
    05. Click on the disclosure triangle (which is pointing to the right) to the left of 'Root'. The disclosure triangle will point down, and the contents of 'Root' displayed.
    06. Click on 'Root'; the 'New Sibling' button will be renamed 'New Child' and will become enabled ... or ... Click on any item below 'Root'; the 'New Sibling' will become enabled.
    07. Click on the 'New Child' or 'New Sibling' button.
    08. Enter 'LSUIElement' (without the single quote marks), and then press either the '<tab>' or '<return>' key. The entry may jump to a new position.
    09. Locate the 'LSUIElement' entry row (listing), and under the 'Value' column click twice, enter '1' (without the single quote marks), and finally press the '<return>' key.
    You should now see (under 'Property' 'Class' 'Value' respectively) ...
    LSUIElement String 1
    10. Close the 'Info.plist' window. A drop down sheet will appear. Click on the 'Save' button.
    11. Quit 'Property List Editor'.

  • Strange error trying to run application - classpath maybe?

    Hi - I'm having problems running programs and applets. It used to work running them from the command line before. Installing J builder might have changed that, I'm not sure. I can compile a program from the command line but when I try to run it I get the following error:
    C:ATProject> java Hello
    Registry key 'Software\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment\CurrentVersion' has value '1.3', but '1.4' is required.
    Error: could not find java.dll
    Error: could not find Java 2 Runtime Environment
    I have jdk1.4 installed. The following is the autobat file - I think the classpath is set correctly?
    PATH C:\JDK1.4\BIN
    C:\PROGRA~1\NETWOR~1\MCAFEE~1\SCAN.EXE; C:\
    @IF ERRORLEVEL 1 PAUSE
    SET BLASTER=A220 I7 D1 T2
    SET SNDSCAPE=C:\WINDOWS
    SET CLASSPATH=.;C:\PROGRA~1\JMF21~1.1\LIB\SOUND.JAR;C:\PROGRA~1\JMF21~1.1\LIB\JMF.JAR; C:\JDK1.4\BIN
    I'ld be very grateful anyone could suggest anything.
    Thanks for your time,
    Roseanne.

    Thank you all so much. I can compile and run simple applications from the command line now. Compiling applets works too. One thing I was confused about - is the j2sdk1.4.1 a JDK?
    I have another question about applets if you have time? I can run one applet no problem - Its an applet that uses awt. However if I try to run the following applets I get errors:
    1. When I try to run a simple applet that uses Swing from the Swing tutorial on this site and I get an error from Internet Explorer saying that the program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.
    2. When I try to run another applet that I've written myself it says class not found and shows the following in the Java console:
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: javax.swing.JApplet
         at com/ms/vm/loader/URLClassLoader.loadClass (URLClassLoader.java)

         at com/ms/applet/AppletPanel.run (AppletPanel.java)
         at java/lang/Thread.run (Thread.java)
    I'm using Internet explorer 4.0. Should that support java? Do I need a plugin and if so where do I download that from? Or could this be a path problem again? This is my autoexec.bat file now:
    SET PATH=%PATH%;C:\J2SDK1.4.1\BIN
    C:\PROGRA~1\NETWOR~1\MCAFEE~1\SCAN.EXE; C:\
    @IF ERRORLEVEL 1 PAUSE
    SET BLASTER=A220 I7 D1 T2
    SET SNDSCAPE=C:\WINDOWS
    SET CLASSPATH=.;C:\PROGRA~1\JMF21~1.1\LIB\SOUND.JAR;C:\PROGRA~1\JMF21~1.1\LIB\JMF.JAR
    I would be very grateful if you could come up with a way to fix this problem,
    Thanks a million for your help so far.

    Anyone know how I can get Photoshop CS6 running on Mac 10.9.5 - I get error:16 when trying to run application after a complete removal and re-install??

    Other Adobe programs should not cause this error.
    Try this:  Open Terminal,
    copy/paste this into Terminal at the command prompt:  sudo chmod -R 777 /Library/Application\ Support/Adobe
    Press enter, and if asked enter your password.
    Try opening Photoshop again.

  • Trying to run a .jar file but CAN'T!!!!

    I have a .jar file. If I click on it, a Java Virtual Machine Launcher error box comes up that says "Could not find the main class. Program will exit."
    I've tried to run it from the DOS prompt two ways.
    If I type "java -jar Plist" (Plist is the .jar file name, the .java file name, and the class name), It says...
    Exception in thread "main" java.util.zip.ZipException: The system cannot find

    If I type "java -jar Plist.jar", It says...
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Plist
    Two questions...
    1. What am I doing wrong??
    2. Once I get this .jar deal to work, will I be able to run it on other computers? It seems to be tied in with some of the Java utilities and files on my computer. Is it independent like a .exe file or not?

    1. What am I doing wrong??
    You need a manifest. Open notepad and write these two lines:
    Main-Class: main
    [A blank line, just hit enter]
    For main specify the name of the class that has the Main(String[] args) method without the .class extension. If your using a package, then put the package name in there too like this:
    Main-Class: myPackage/main
    But since you not using a package, and you said the only class is Plist.class then use:
    Main-Class: Plist
    (remember a blank line here)
    Now save this file (call it manifest.txt if you like).
    Next, update your jar file with this command:
    jar umf [name of manifest file] [name of jar file]
    jar umf manifest.txt Plist.jarNow run with this command or double-click from Windoze:
    java -jar Plist.jar2. Once I get this .jar deal to work, will I be able to run it on other computers?
    The other computers must have at least the jre installed, available free from Sun as you know :)

    Hi Ole,
    thanks for your answer.
    there is one property calles cardinality (value is 0..n) and another one called selection (value is 0..1) but I cannot edit these values
    In the meantime I found out that I forgot to do some of the post-installation-configuring. I fixed it and I hoped this would have solved my problem...but it didn't.
    This is the latest error message:

    Do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
    Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
    It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
    You can skip the step to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue.
