Trying to run wuala with bin32-jre

Hi,
I am running archlinux 64 and want to run wuala (preferably through a browser), which requires a 32bit jre, which I already installed.
Is there any way of making firefox64 use the 32bit plugins, whose locations were shown after bin32-jre installation?
The jre package is licensed software.
You MUST read and agree to the license stored in /opt/bin32-jre/jre/LICENSE before using it
The new mozilla plugin link is /opt/bin32-jre/jre/lib/i386/libnpjp2.so
ln -s /opt/bin32-jre/jre/lib/i386/libnpjp2.so /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libnpjp2.so
regards

Wouldnt it just be easier to compile 32bit firefox and use that? It might be possible that 64bit firefox cant use 32bit plugins. It would make sense since on Windows Vista and 7, there is an Internet Explorer, and Internet Explorer 64bit. so x86 plugins prolly cant run on x64 browsers.

I am trying to run PASW with Lion.  I've found a patch that allows it to run, except that it will not do graphs. These always produce this warning: 'Could Not Start Java Virtual Machine. Chart will not be drawn."  Anyone know of another patch for this?

  • Issue running Forms. System keeps trying to run OAJInit and install JRE 5.0

    Hi,
Just changed to a new machine and trying to access forms from Firefox, IE and/or Netscape. When clicking on a link that should take me to forms, I am asked to download and install OAJinit.exe, with the following message:
In order to access this application, you must install the J2SE Plugin version 1.5.0_03. To install this plugin, click here to download the oajinit.exe executable. Once the download is complete, double-click the oajinit.exe file to install the plugin. You will be prompted to restart your browser when the installation is complete.
Installation of JRE 1.5 goes well, but when trying to run forms, I am still prompted to download OAJInit.exe... If I proceed with the installation, I get
"you already have this version of the JRE installed. Please uninstall the product through your add/remove programs utility before reinstalling."
Any idea what I could do wrong?
    Thanks

    I agree with Renato,
The $OA_HTML/bin/appsweb_INSTANCE_server.cfg (or appsweb.cfg in single Apps node configuration) file is right there JINIT/Client JRE configuration is stored on a server side.
It is advisable however to adjust an autoconfig context configuration file and then run autoconfig then instead of modifying configuration file manually.
Plus as far as I know using Sun J2SE 5.0 on a Clint side is in Early Adopter Program and isn’t certificated for wider public.

Replacing Oracle JInitiator with Sun's Native Plug-In
But let me ask the following question before you will go ahead with Renato’s suggested:
    - Is this problem appeared only on that single PC?
    - If yes then which Jinitator version is used on other PSs to get connected to the particular environment?
    - Can you try in IE Tools-> Internet Options…-> Advanced -> Java (Sun) and untick Use JRE 1.5.0 ... Try to connect to the environment after that.

  • Help! trying ot run reports with AIX chron

i am trying to run a set of nightly reports with ibm's AIX unix chron procedure but it keeps complaning that it cannot find r25runm:
    null

    From my previous post:
o Complete Forms/Reports version. Do NOT* say "Forms 10g". Provide the numerical version numbers*
o "error" 103??? What is this? Forms error, Reports error, error seen in browser. Explain...
This means, what is the complete text from the error and which line is it complaining about.
o Have you reviewed the Forms/Reports Integration White paper which explains how to correctly call Reports from Forms?
At quick glance, disregarding the detail requested above, the first problem I see is here:
    cust_List := FIND_REPORT_OBJECT(cust_list_report);
cust_list_report* either needs to be quoted or be a declared variable. So, for example this is what I would have expected assuming cust_list_report* is an actual report object found in the Object Navigator :
cust_List := FIND_REPORT_OBJECT('cust_list_report');Notice the single quotations. If cust_list_report is a variable, then it needs to be declared at the top of the code.

Also, another thing people may want to try. A coworker was having a problem where she kept getting the unsupported major minor version error from eclipse after upgrading to the latest version of java.
All the configuration settings were correct, pointing to the latest vm. I tried starting eclipse with the parameter
    -vm "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_04\jre\bin\javaw.exe"
and it worked just fine. Without this, it was apparently finding some conflict between jdk1.5 and the older jdk1.4.
IDE's are nice, but I find configuring them after an upgrade to be exremely painful.

  • No sound in java applets in 32bit firefox with bin32-jre plugin.

I got sound in flash, but not in java applets. Is this a known issue? Any workarounds?

I should probably make a wiki article (or ad to the Java wiki article) about this, since it seems to come up quite often (especially on Ubuntu forums, actually). The only good solution I've found is to use Pulseaudio, and rename the java executable to java.bin, and make a script called java in the same folder, and put this in the script:
    #!/bin/sh
    padsp /opt/java/jre/bin/java.bin "$@"
By the way, the path to the java executable is /opt/java/jre/bin/ I've tried using the same method with plain ALSA by using aoss, and it works sorta, but it causes random crashes of Java, so that's a no go, have to use Pulse.

  • Trying to run JBoss with Oracle8i - Error: "error while fixing table name"

I'm trying to configure Jboss_3_2_1 to run with Oracle 8i. I intend to use it to deploy EJB on the Oracle DataSource.
I have already change the following files:
oracle-ds.xml -> changed the <connection-url> tag to my configuration
    oracle-xa-ds.xml -> changed the <xa-datasource-property name="URL"> tag
to my configuration. But I'm not sure how to exactly configure this
    property.
    My first doubt is:
Using the Oracle 8i, witch of the two config files above I should use to the datasource tag in the jbosscmp-odbc.xml file.
    The second one is:
Using the XAOracleDS (Oracle 8i) as the <datasource>, and the <datasource-mapping> tag as Oracle8 (as suggested in the jbosscmp-odbc.xml file) I get the following error message from the JBoss server:

  • Trying to run in FPGA mode with VCS Diag fails

I am trying to run OpenSparc with vcs in FPGA mode. The command I used is
    sims -sim_type=vcs -group=thread1_mini -novera_build -novera_run -max_cycle= 50000 -config_rtl=FPGA_SYN -config_rtl=FPGA_SYN_NO_SPU -config_rtl=FPGA_SYN_1THREAD
The Diag I used is bypass_win.s The status.log shows it failed
When I remove FPGA option the diag pass.
Can anyone please let me know which diag I should use in FPGA mode.
I wanted to remove latches so I use FPGA_SYN. Also, is it necessary to run FPGA using script rsynp.
Can I synthesize the design other than Simplicity.
    Thanks

  • Trying to run app as an extension

    Hello,
I've placed my jar file in the jre\lib\bin directory and have tried to run it from the jre\bin dir and the only way I can get it to run is if I supply the
-jar extension along with the path. I thought that once you included you jar as an extension that all you needed to type was java fName
    Thanks,
    Jeff.

I was experimenting with the JRE and decided to run my application using the "Extension Mechanism". So, I placed my jar file in the
jre\lib\ext sub -directory then from the command line, in the
jre\bin sub-directory typed the following: java fName
....and I get the "Exception in thread 'main' java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: fName

  • Running F110 with message "Proposal has been released 07/22/10 06:42:33"

    Dear experts,
When I made proposal through F110,  it shows me "Parameters have been entered", then after setting the related parameters, I tried to run Proposal with check on "Start immediately", then the message "Proposal has been released 07/22/10 06:42:33" appears, I also check SM37, but I can not get the spool list.
    What could be the reason?
    Thank you!

In the first tab of your F110 screen, you'll get the status of your processing.  It will update for each event.  Check if you are getting things like the following.
    Parameters have been entered
    Payment proposal has been created
    Payment proposal has been edited
Payment run has been carried out
Posting orders: 1 generated, 1 completed
If you are not getting any of the above, you can check that step and analyse the log.
Since you are getting as released, i think the proposal run has not carried out.
    Ravi.

  • Problem running applet with JRE 1.3.X

    Hi,
I've developed an applet that works fine with MS JVM and JRE 1.4, but fails under JRE 1.3.x.
Anyone knows what i've todo to my applet to get compability with JRE 1.3x too.
    Thanks,

Are you compiling under 1.3x and then trying to run in MS and 1.4? If so please tell the errors you are getting when you compile or what you're having problems in.
You're question is like me saying I have a feild full of volvo's from various years and I have a box of replacement parts from vaious years--but not nessisarally the same years as I have cars, which ones do I need to fix them? (impossible to say isn't it without more info)
or as I usually say: "My crystal ball is in the shop, please supply specific information for what you want answered."

Im having trouble getting my macbook pro to boot up after a fail safe boot, im getting as far as the grey screen with the apple loggo. so im trying to run a disk repair but is saying the disk is locked, how do i unlock disk??

    Some clarification may help.
You say you cannot boot normally.  It shows a gray screen with the Apple logo.
Did you say it will boot successfully in Safe Mode (boot, then hold down the Shift key)?
How did you boot the machine to run Disk Utility?  (Which keyboard combinations)?

  • My executable compiled with Real Time Engine 5.1.1 in App Builder gives error when trying to run in App Builder with RTE 6.1

Hello.  I built an executable using App Builder in LV 5.1.1 and now, years later, I am trying to run it in LV 6.1 but I get an error stating a requirement for Run Time Engine version 5.1.1.  To be able to run this, must I install the older version of Run Time Engine?  If so, where can I find the older version?  Do I have to install the older version of LabVIEW to get the RTE?  Will having both versions on my pc be a problem?
I assume that once I am able to run the exe, that I will be able to recompile with the newer version of the RTE using App Builder.  Is this correct?
I have been away from LabVIEW for several years and am a bit rusty on these details that I once knew.  Any help is appreciated.
    Alex

The version of the run-time engine must match the version of LabVIEW that was used to create the executable. You can get any version of the run-time engine you want here. The only way to create a version 6.1 exe is to re-build it from the source code with diagrams. An exe has no block diagram so it cannot be converted to a newer version.

  • Trying to run program off network location using GPO with Power shell script.

    Hello All,
Not much of a script writer. I am giving it a shot.  My issue is that I need to run a application update across our network and I am trying to do it with as little hands on as possible. So I was planning to push a GPO with a power shell script in it
to run the program with elevated privileges.
    Little background:
We are running on a domain and end users do not have admin rights.
The application is stored on a share on our network that is open to all domain users.
The installer user name and password is a temp one and will only be valid for the 30 min window when everyone logs in at the beginning of the day.
So this is what I have so far.
    $username = "USER"
    $password = "PASSWORD"
    $credentials = New-Object System.Management.Automation.PSCredential -ArgumentList @($username,(ConvertTo-SecureString -String $password -AsPlainText -Force))
    Start-Process PSQLv11Patch_Client_x86.msp -Credential ($credentials) -WorkingDirectory \\Server\Folder\Folder1\Folder2\filder3\PSQLv11sp3_x32\
But for some reason I keep getting :
Start-Process : This command cannot be run due to the error: The system cannot find the file specified.

Any help you could give would be great.
    Thanks,
    jdfmonkey

    Hi jdfmonkey,
Has anyone provided an answer to your original question?  I am trying to use Start-Process to launch a process using another logged in user's credentials, and am not able to get it working:
    $cred=Get-Credential
    start-process Process.exe-WorkingDirectoryC:\Scripts-Credential$cred
I get the same error that you mentioned:
start-process : This command cannot be run due to the error: The system cannot find the file specified.
    At C:\Scripts\Process.ps1:2 char:1
    + start-process Process.exe -WorkingDirectory C:\Scripts -Credential ...

        + CategoryInfo          : InvalidOperation: (:) [Start-Process], InvalidOperationException
        + FullyQualifiedErrorId : InvalidOperationException,Microsoft.PowerShell.Commands.StartProcessCommand
When I leave off the credentials:
    start-processProcess.exe-WorkingDirectoryC:\Scripts
It works correctly.  Does anyone have a solution to make this work correctly?
Please ask your own question.  You issue is nothing like the current thread.  You clearly are using a user account that has no access to the folder.  It is a permissions issue.  It is not a scripting issue.
If you need further help please start your own question.
