Trying to send/forward email from tesco account

I have set up my email accounts on my mini iPad, but found I can only receive mail on these. Is there an answer to enable me to reply or forward from these accounts please?

  • I am sending an email from one account on iphone 4s but the replies are coming into another account on my phone

I have had an iphone 4s for about a year and have 4 email accounts that come in on it: verizon, gmail, my work, and icloud.  Periodically, I send an email from one account, it shows the message as sent from that account in my sent mail, but the recipient receives it from the gmail account and therefore replies to the gmail.  Has anyone had this happen?  It is almost as if my messages are bouncing into gmail when I send them, although on my phone it shows as having been sent from another account.  I have not had this happen on my computer where I have all of these emails coming in as well.  I thought perhaps it was me not being careful about which account I was sending from when using my phone, but the mail I sent this morning I was very careful to make sure was from verizon, the sent mail on my phone shows it was sent from verizon, and the reply came in on gmail.  Gmail isn't even the default email address- verizon is! My iphone is using version 6.1.3. Does anyone have any ideas? This is a major problem for me so I appreciate any ideas!  Thank you!!!

I am not sure whether this is related, but I had a problem with Gmail where each time I sent and email via my iPhone it would bounce back in my Gmail account as unread. You migh want to check this Google article explaining why this happens and how to avoid it:

  • TS3276 when I send an email from one account, it shows up as sent from another gmail account. Anybody ever run into this

When I send an email from one of my accounts, it shows up as sent from another account. Does anyone know how to correct this?

As Ernie said, you need to create an SMTP server for each gmail account with the correct username and password. Be sure the correct server for each account is listed in the SMTP box and check the box to use only that server for that account.
Gmail's default behavior when sending from one account through another account's outgoing server is to change the address to the server which is used. Same goes if I send a message from my ATT/Yahoo account and use gmail's server to send through. It will change the ATT address to the gmail address.
There is an option in gmail's settings under the Account's tab under Send Mail As. You can add different gmail or other accounts such as Yahoo to this and choose how the gmail server handles it. You can set it to send as the sending account and not change the address. I've used this many times for my ATT account for sending through gmail when ATT accounts were having problems.
You can add the different accounts to each gmail account you have.

  • Nothing happening when trying to forward email from IMAP account

My boss has just reported to me that when he tries to forward an email from his IMAP account on his iPhone 3GS. I asked him to show me and can confirm that nothing happens at all. It doesn't appear to do anything.
This was all working fine at the weekend, but stopped working on Monday for no apparent reason.
Have there been any auto updates sent to iPhone users that could have caused this?

Have problem on ANY site I wish to contact business using their email contact window. The other is my web mail host, when forwarding an email in my in-box. I delete all tracking cookies from computer prior to closing down. Problem is in Mozilla program, problem started after downloading new Firefox upgrade program. Host web site told me other Firefox users having same problem.

  • Trying to Send Mass Email from my .Mac email account...

    Hi,
I am trying to send a mass email to customers at our retail store. For some reason, it says I cannot do it! I actually even narrowed the customer list down to 25, and it still will not send... Is there something I can change in the preference list to make this happen?
    Thanks so much

There is no preference list for this. Any controls would be server-side, implemented by Apple to prevent spammers using .Mac for hawking their wares.
As such, there's not much you can do other than send multiple individual messages or run your own mail server.

  • Have an iphone 3GS, 2 email accounts.  My work email account used to work.  Now if I send any emails from this account it only appears in my sent box.  Recipients internal and external do not receive.  IT person cannot figure why occurring.  Any insight?

Have a iphone 3GS; 2 email accounts.  one is for work.  It used to work fine until about Feb 2011.  Now when i send emails from my work account it only appears in the sent file.  Recipients do not get email.
IT person looked at it & cannot find why this is happening.
Any insight why this is occurring??

This has nothing to do with your iPhone.
If a message is in the account's Sent mailbox, this means the message was successfully sent. If a message cannot be sent for whatever reason, it will remain in the Outbox.
What happens to a message after it was successfully sent has nothing to do with the email client or computer/device used to send the message.

  • Can't send any emails from various accounts set up in mail 4.4

I have a number of different email accounts (3 POP, 1 IMAP) set up in mail 4.4. Lately i have had some problems sending emails from some of the accounts. Usually, I get the outgoing mail server reject message, and then I try another server, and then it sends. THe next time I go to send an email through the outgoing server that I was rejected by, it sends without problems. Each time I shutdown, restart, or open the lid on the macbook, I go through the same process. UNTIL today. Now, I can't send ANYTHING outbound, via any of the 4 outgoing mail servers that I have set up. I have run with this same configuration without change for almost 3 years. Only change is that I have recently changed ISPs. Please help. Work from home, so critical problem.

I had had the same problem after changing my ISP. It is definitely a Mail 4.4 problem. I partially fixed it by trashing all four of my e-mail accounts in mail preferences (simply click on the minus sign to delete them) and rebuilding them all with the correct settings and passwords. This worked fine with ATT, MSN and QWest but the Mail app simply refuses to connect to AOL's outgoing mail server (smtp.aol.com). In other words, I can receive AOL mail but I cannot send AOL mail using the Mac Mail app. Have to log on to AOL's web site and do it that way, which is a huge pain in the you know where. Mail 4.4 is definitely hinky -- keeps erasing passwords and asking for them again and again. As a result, my keychain contains numerous repetitions of the same password for each mail account. I don't know why Apple doesn't fix this problem, which recurs with depressing regularity according to many Mac Mail users on this forum.

  • My iphone will not allow me to forward emails from one account.

I'm using a 4s which was replaced one week ago by Apple due to an issue with the prior phone powering down by itself. The new phone has worked perfectly, I can send and receive mail just fine on any one of my several email accounts. On my business email however, I get an error that says the message has been place in my outbox because the receipient wasn't recognized by the server on ANY email I try to forward. I can creat an new message with the same address and it'll send just fine. I've called AT&T who was fairly useless as usual, then I called my ISP, who said it must be a setting, but the settings are what they've always been and still let me send and receive mail, so I just don't get it. This is making me crazy

Interesting.  I have never looked at this before.  I have a gmail account and the primary server setting is smpt.gmail.com with the server port 465 greyed out and cannot be changed.  I have other SMTP servers set with mail.iinet.net.au set as the server.  On the next screen the port is 587 also greyed out and cannot be changed.  I can only assume that the choice of port for these servers was something I did when those SMPT servers were first set up but I cant be sure

  • Can't send receive email from Yahoo account or send from .mac account

On 5/1, when launching Mail, it asked me to update to new settings or use old settings. I should have kept the old settings. Instead, I had to set up all of my email accounts again. Everything is working except receiving mail from my Yahoo account. Also, I can receive mail from my .mac account, but can't send from it. These accounts are working fine on my iPhone. Is there a way to restore old email settings? Anyone else having this problem?

    Hi Jeffrey,
Not certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move these folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
    Reboot.
Is there a way to restore old email settings?
Only with a backup or Manually redoing it/them, which may or may not lose the mail you have.

  • How to forward email from primary account - email settings screen is missing!

I have escalated your issue. An official employee will reply. Please check back every once in a while for a reply by one of them.

This question has been asked 100 times but the answer doesn't work. I use:-> My Account-> Users & PreferencesUnder my user name (which says "Primary User"), I'm supposed to see "Basic and Email Settings". I see only "Basic Settings". I am the primary user, the only user. I tried logging off and on using the user name and the comcast.net email address and both show I'm the primary user but no email settings. Where are the email settings so I can forward my email?

  • How do I fix Mail in Snow Leopard where I cannot send emails from my account to another account I've set up in Mail, but the reverse works fine?

I have a problem with Mail in Snow Leopard in that I cannot set up two email accounts for myself and my wife with the same ISP and have them operate properly.  I've set up the accounts in strict accordance with my ISP's instructions for setting up email accounts on Mac Mail but I cannot send an email from my account to my wife's without a drop-down message appearing that Mail 'cannot send the email from this server.  Please edit the server list'.  No amount of tweaking appears to work.  Applecare consultants have so far been unable to get it to work and a recent visit to the local Genius Bar in the Apple Store was fruitless also.  My ISP's help line was unable to solve the problem even with a supervisor level consultant.  The ISP concluded it was some kind of 'bug' in Mail.
I could send emails from my wife's account to mine, but not vice versa; I could send emails to other addresees without any problem and I can send emails from my account to my wife's using the ISP's webmail.
Does anyone please have a solution to my problem?  At the moment we're operating one account (mine) on my Macbook and my wife's is set up on her iPad2.  As we prefer to use the Macbook for storage and (using Time Machine) for back-up of our data, the two accounts on separate machines is a nuisance.
Another factor is that I prefer to control when I download emails and set my preferences accordingly.  One of the so-called 'fixes' that were tried wound up downloading emails regardless of settings, even after removing my wife's account; the matter was remedied only after I had removed all accounts form Mail and started afresh from scratch.

You'll have to pardon my ignorance of some  computer terminology; I'm a retired manager and not a computer technician, hence my muddling up of client and server terminology.
Re your comment about Port 339: I did qualify this with (?).  As I wrote, it all happened at lightining speed and the guy at the Genius Bar didn't bother explaining what he was doing.  Port designation contained 3s and 9s to the best of my recollection.
That said, you seem to be spot on re setting up a 'dummy' client in Mail.  I set it up as you suggested and I can send to and receive from this client without a problem.  You appear to have identified the solution, notwithstanding the claims of the ISP's 'experts'.
The next problem I have now is sorting out my wife's mailbox that is so troublesome whenever I set it up on Mail.
All the other set-up advice to date yielded a similar result; inability to send from my account to her inbox.  Perhaps deleting her details from the account altogether and setting them up again from scratch may be the solution and I shall try that in due course.  The impediment that I have with this at the moment is that my ISP admits that it has 'a technical problem with its email servers' and some of its related web pages that prevent my doing this myself.  I will have to go through the telephone 'help' line and ask the technician to set it up at their end on my instructions.  This has some disadvantages in that I have to divulge the password to the account to the operator rather than keeping it anonymous by doing it on-line.   You may have solved the problem, but until I can successfully sort out a working mailbox for my wife i cannot definitively say so.
Many thanks for your perseverance.  You've made more sense than anyone else so far and that deserves some points, surely?
