Trying To Set Up Director Commentaries

Hello, everyone. I have DVDSP 4.1.2. I'm trying to set up a director commentary track along with the main movie track. The main movie track is on track 1, the commentary on 2. I keep getting an error message saying "Illegal angle situation. Only the main video will be simulated." Seems like there are a million and a half things it could be, but if anyone knows what could be going on, I sure would appreciate the help.

Um . . . Alonso, I'm a little bit confused by the question itself. Is it audio or video commentary? I thought there was only one type of commentary? I'm not certain what the difference is. It's, by the way, an audio track only that has my voice doing director commentary over the audio of the movie.
I think, also, that it IS as straight forward as having a subtitle track, by the way. You just stack the audio track under the previous audio tracks on your timeline, and then, as I mentioned in the previous post, go to the "Advanced" tab and audio stream the track accordingly. Hope that helped.

New User Trying To Set Up Best Backing Up Scheme

i am trying to set up the best system to upload my photos from my camera and maintain a good backup procudure, and i am a little confused on the best way to do this.
i have a new sony dsc-tx5 that i got around the same time i bought my lightroom software, so am learning new things all around. the camera is great, but the software that came with it is not very good, (PMB).
- i have backed up all my photos from my camera into one main directory on my PC for my original photo files - using the Sony PMB software.
- i then backed this directory up to my external harddrive. and whenever i backup new photos to this directory, i will also back these new files to my external drive as well - using Windows 7 explorer to do this task.
- then i copied all the original photos to another directory on the same hard drive, but i divided all the photos in this new directory into several sub-directories to the approximate size of a dvd data disk, and then backed those up to dvd data disks; and whenever i get enough files in a new sub-directory about the size of another dvd data disk, i back them up to a dvd disk as well - again using windows explorer.
- so far so good, but now i am unsure about how to incorporate Lightroom into this whole process. The PMB software from my sony camera downloads all new photos and puts them into my main directory to store my orignal files as i had mentioned in step one here. and in fact, PMB keeps an index of all files and directories, and any changes to them, etc. in my "My Pictures" Directory on my PC. so i dont need lightroom to mange that part at all.
- the original photo files should remain separate from anything I do with lightroom right now, so i have a separate directory of photos for lightroom to use and play around with my files, without involving the originals at all. it is a completely separate directory with copies of the original files that i only use to lightroom as i learn my way around the propram.
- right now i made a new directory of all my files and renamed it as something for just lightroom to use. but i also see in the lightroom subdirectory in the "my pictures" directory on my PC are serveral other sub-directories named in the "Download Backups" sub-sub directory, and i can see some of my same photos in there too. so now i am lost about what is what and where, etc. this part is a bit confusing, and i am not sure how to incorporate a way and/or where to backup the finished modified photos, etc.
- and the issues of backing-up catalogs vs regular back-ups has me confused too.
- am i using the best method to mange my files before and after using lightroom so far, or am i way off track here?
any help one might offer to straighten this whole confusion up before i get heavy into the editing process would be much appreciated! where to look for instructional info to clear it all up, etc. what terms to search for on the help resources, etc.

Thank you for your assistance dj_paige.it was helpful to confirm what i am doing is on the right track. but in finally having the time to get around to trying all this out, it has of course brought a few more questions!
before i ask my questions though, i just wanted to more specifically reiterate what my "setting up" process has evolved to, thus far:
- I use the photo management software tool that came with my Sony camera, named PMB, to upload all of the latest photo files i've shot to my computer into a directory, without any sub-directories, named it something like "Sony Photos <with latest upload date added to this name>". Besides uploading the newest photo files, I do no other tasks with PMB, other than just keeping track of what is where, which it updates automatically somehow.
- The "Sony Photos" directory is placed as a sub-directory in my "My Pictures" parent directory on my PC.
- I have another sub-directory, named "Sony Photos Organized To BU To DVDs", also located as a sub-directory in my "My Pictures" parent directory on my PC. Within this subdirectory, are several sub-sub-directories which are named according the the date ranges of the photo files within them were shot. The files within these sub-sub-directories are copies of the same photo files in the previously mentioned "Sony Photos" directory; the only difference here being that i have divided each of sub-directories in the "Sony Photos Organized To BU To DVDs" to each be approximately 4 GB in size, so that I can then easily copy the subdirectories onto DVD data disks which are also approximately the same 4 GB in size.
- I also have another sub-directory, also located as a sub-directory in my "My Pictures" parent directory on my PC, which is also one big directory holding all of my photos from my previous digital camera, named "Cannon Photos". Since I no longer shoot with this camera anymore, there are no new images to worry about here, and they have all been backed up to my external drive as well as DVD disks. So it is just an issue to keeping track of them in Lightroom, more on that later.
- The last of the four photo-related subdirectories within my "My Pictures" parent directory is the Lightroom directory, simply named "Lightroom" of course. There is one file and one sub-directory in this Lightroom directory. The file is named "Lightroom 3 Catalog" and the sub-directory is named "Lightroom 3 Catalog Previews.Irdata".
- When I am backing up all of these 4 photo-related sub-directories to my external harddiskdrive, I am also backing up the entire Lightroom directory, which includes the "previews subdirectory" as well as the catalog file. Even though this directory is relatively small, it sure does take a long time to back up this preview directory, i guess it is because there are so many files to copy/transfer - I have a huge number of photo files.
- * So my first question is: Are both the aforementioned "catalog" file and the accompanying sub-directory in the Lightroom directory considered as a group that should be kept together during backups, or is just backing up the "catalog" file by itself okay? Ie.: Do I need to back up the previews subdirectory as well?
- Next Question: Do I need to use the PMB software in this situation at all, or should I figure out how to use just Lightroom by itself, without the help of PMB to manage this set-up situation?
- Which leads to my last question, does this all seem like a good method for setting up my photos for uploading, backing-up, to keeping track of things, etc.?

I am trying to set up Sharing amongst several computers on my home network. I have followed all the setup instructions but after completion Sharing does not appear in my iTunes window (on any of the computers I've set up). There is no explanation why.

I have been trying to set up Sharing between two computers on my network. I did this once and it worked. However, when I try to set this up now the Sharing feature does not appear on the left side of the iTunes window (on either computer). There is no explanation as to why not. Is this a configuration problem, a network problem or what? Can it be fixed? I have tried turning sharing off and back on on both computers but to no avail. What am I missing? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
If, while searching through your past purchases, items are unavailable to download and show a "Purchased" button, they are still on your computer. It may be best to search your iTunes library by clicking Music, then use the search bar at the top right.
If you are completely sure the items are no longer in your library, try signing out of the iTunes Store, and then back in.

I'm having this same problem as well and cannot advance--very irritating. All of the information is filled out correctly and I've editted my AppleID information online separately as well to get around this issue, but no luck...

Trying to set up ereader for library books but unable to authorise computer.

I am trying to set up a Kobo Aura ereader to borrow and read library books. I have verified my Adobe ID. Each time I try (I installed, uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Digital Editions) I am unable to authorise my Windows 7 computer. I get the following error message.

Let's try this first. Press the wireless button on the front of the printer and execute a "Restore Defaults".
Next, restart the router by pulling its power plug momentarily, then try the WPS procedure again. If that does not work, contact your ISP to see if the WPS button is functional.
If it is not, let me know and I can walk you through a much harder, but effective technique.

This has nothing to do with iPhoto. When I have this type of problem I call tech support for my email service. They probably are the only source of the correct settings

Trying to set download apps...says it needs my credit card info...I put it in....but then it won't take it because it says I need to enter my zip code. I live in Canada and have a postal code, not a zip code. Help

Postal & Zip codes are same. Just enter postal code without space. It will accept.

You must initiallly activate iCloud from an IOS device or a Mac. You cannot inititally activated from a PC.

Sharing an Apple ID is never recommended for these reasons.
They can create their own: http://appleid.apple.com and you can add them at the addresses they use for their ID.
Sharing an Apple ID is not recommended because all of your data gets merged and when it gets deleted from one device, it deletes from them all, such as Contacts.

I'm trying to set up my Ipod, but when I go to sign in with an apple ID it says 'Could not sign in: there was a problem connecting to the server'.

I just bought a 3rd generation ipod touch. It was professionally refurbished. I'm trying to set it up, and everything seems to be working fine, until we get to the wifi. I live on campus and our wifi is username and password protected. I signed in and everything seemed to work fine, and in the top left hand corner I have all the bars for wifi. However, when I go to sign in with an apple ID it says 'Could no sign in: there was a problem connecting to the server'. I've tried turning it on and off again, tried signing on to our wifi again, but it all isn't working. What can I do?

I also encountered the same problem. Try using a different email address or try signing in later.

I am trying to set up account aliases on icloud

For the past month i have been trying to set up a new alias on icloud. I originally had 3 aliases that came over from my .mac account days. I then deleted one and had to wait seven days to create a new one. Immediately after deleting it and logging off and back on to icloud it appeared the alias was gone. When I went back out there 7 days later to create a new one the old supposedly deleted alias was there again. So I deleted it again and had to start the whole wait process again. This time it stayed deleted but when I went to select a new alias, instead of getting a prompt saying something to the affect of "that alias is already in use" I got "Can not save this alias at this time" which lead me to believe that maybe the system didn't know my 7 days were up . So I just tried another random alias and the system created that alias. Because it wasn't so random as to render itself useless I decided to keep it and delete one of the other two and then of course wait 7 days. I checked back at the 3 day mark it was still gone. Today is the 7 day mark and I just went out there and low and behold I magically have 3 aliases! TWO of the same "random" aliases. Oddly one of the random aliases has .me and .mac as the emails. Where as the rogue third alias of the same title only has the .me email. Both contain all the same information with the only exception being the additional .mac email on one. I decided to delete the magically appearing third alias today and now I'll have to wait 7 days to try to create another. What the ****?
Can someone please tell me what is going on here? And is there anyway to create an alias without waiting 7 days? Is there a way to test to see if an alias is already in use?

1. If you haven't tried this already, just delete the user account entirely, and then try setting it up again.
2. To find the permissions file:
     a. hold down the option key
     b. go to the Go menu in the finder
     c. scroll down to Library and open it
     d. in Library, go to Containers/com.apple.mail/Data/Library/Preferences
     e. drag it to the trash and restart.
3. if that doesn't work, go to Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access. In the Keychain Access menu, do Keychain First Aid, and repair.
This should keep you busy for a while.

I am trying to set up netboot

I am trying to set up netboot on a server running 10.4.11. Everything seems to be set up right but it will not work. I checked the logs and can see that the client is sending a request but the server never sends an offer. I upgraded to 10.4 from 10.3 so I tried the fix that was given when you did this but it didn't seem to make a difference. It did however raise a question for me the xinetd.d folder that I copied to the desktop as they said to do is empty. I than went in and found the xinetd.d folder and it to is empty. Should it be empty if not what should be in it.

I've never done a 10.3 to 10.4 upgrade, but common problem areas tend to be:
- DNS
- DHCP
- NFS sharepoints
- bootp sync issues
Tearing down the NetBoot service, and setting it back up again may address the NFS and bootp issues.

I am trying to set up iCloud on my various devices. When I log in with my iTunes (Apple id) it keeps coming back and stating
"Verify your account. This Apple ID's email address cannot be verified. Change your apple ids email address at appleid.apple.com to sig into i cloud"
My apple id has been alive and in use for years on iTunes etc. I have tried a different address and password and still get the same result

If your email address is valid, just go to https://appleid.apple.com/, click "Manage your account" to the right,sign in, click Name, ID, and Email Addresses to the left, then click "Verify now" next to your email address. Apple will send you an email to this address with a verification link. Otherwise add an alternate email address that can be verified.

A few options to try:
They hyphen should be next to the + on the character map.
If you are still having issues, provided your ATV software is up to date, you can now connect an Apple Wireless Keyboard through bluetooth connections.
Change your network password so it does not use a hyphen
