Trying to sync photos from PC  to ipad2

but keep getting this message:
iTunes has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
Am I doing something wrong or is there a problem with iTunes??

How are you trying to sync them ? If you are trying to do them one or two at a time then you need to select and sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go, as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - not including them in a subsequent sync is how you remove them from the iPad (synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad).
If you are getting an error message when trying to sync them (e.g. file could not be copied, file not found) then try deleting the photo cache from your computer and then re-try the photo sync and see if they then copy over - the location of the cache, and how to delete it, is on this page http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1314

iPhoto 9.4.3 crashes when trying to sync photos from IPAD running 8.1.  Any ideas on why ?
iPhoto runs and keeps trying to read the iPad photos cycling thru a lot of times eventually crashing.

There may be a corrupted video or image file on your iPad.
Try to download from the iPad using Image Capture instead and save the photos to a folder. If that succeeds, you can check the files for corruption before importing them to iPhoto.

    Hi newipoduser,
    Here are some possible solutions:
Do you use musicmatch jukebox on your computer? If you do, you have to go into task manager on windows and end process mim.exe. It interferes with disconnecting ext devices
    Empty your "trash/recycle bin."
If that doesn't work, try quitting all your programs, especially music-type programs, basically things that look for mp3's etc.
if that doesn't work, "log off" then "log on" and that should refresh/purge your OS system.
Finally, you can restart your computer.
    Hope one of these helps!

  • I am a new Apple/ipad user and trying to sync photos from pc to ipad. Picture moved to ipad in one giant  folder instead of the many specific folders that are on my pc. How do I sync multipule folders so that the photos show up in seperate folders on my

I am a new apple/ipad user and trying to transfer photos to my new ipad2 from my windows pc using itunes. The pictures all transfered to my ipad in one very large folder (My Pictures) on the ipad2 instead of the multipule folders that were on my pc. Do I have to re sort all of them into folders on the ipad2 or is it possible to sync the seperate folders to the ipad2?

    Create main folder e.g. Folder A, then sub-folders inside A e.g. B, C, D and have your Photos in B, C, D.
In iTunes Sync, click your device on the left Pane, then on right pane select "Photo" tab.
Make sure Sync photo box is checked, then select folder A, then All folders box within the selection.
Click Apply or Sync button at the lower right window.
you will have B,C,D folders under Albums.

  • When trying to sync photos from my PC only a few of the photos end up on my ipad. How can I fix this?

I am having trouble syncing photos from my PC, only a few end up on my ipad. Does anyone know how to manage this?

Are you sure that you have selected the photos to sync to the iPad? You must include all of your photos in one main syncing folder in each subsequent sync as well or the previously synced photos will be erased.
Connect the iPad to the PC and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Photos Tab on the right.
Select the photos folder that you want to use in the Sync Photos From heading
Click on any or all of the sub folders within that main folder that you want to sync to the iPad
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes

  • HT4236 Trying to sync photos from iphone to ipad?

Ideas anyone? Through itunes, it looks like you can only do it by pulling photos from your iphone to your computer and vice versa.

If they are in the Camera Roll, both devices use the same Apple ID and PhotoStream is enabled, they should sync up by default.
Otherwise copy the pictures off the device to a computer.  Using iTunes, sync the photos from the computer to the device(s) via iTunes.

  • Issue Syncing photos from PC to Ipad 2

I am trying to sync photos from my PC to my Ipad2.  All my albums that were already on have disappeared somehow.  Now when I try to replace them two issues are happening:

It syncs an album but seems to be limiting me to 4 albums.  When I try to add any it delets one that is there.

  • I can't sync photos from Mac to iPad.

I can't sync photos from Mac to ipad2 and i have read on the support page How to fix it but it won't work

Have the photos been taken with the iPad or have the photos been synced to the iPad Air? Photos synced with iTunes to iOS devices cannot be synced back. See this link:  iOS: Syncing photos using iTunes
If the photos have been synced to the iPad Air, you need an external app as JimHDK recommended. Or mail the photos, which will be tedious. To delete them from the iPad after transferring them, sync again with iTunes, but select no folders to sync.
If the photos have been taken with the iPad Camera, you can connect the iPad Air to your Mac using a USB cable and then to launch Image Capture or iPhoto to transfer the photos. But that will not transfer synced photos.

It is saying that, any existing photo's libraries (from other computer's or user's) that are on the iPad will be replaced.
If I sync my photos from Iphoto to my ipad am I going to erase something on my Imac?
No, the iPhoto Library on your iMac will not be erased.
Adding that, you should also be able to prevent the loss of any existing photos on the iPad, by first Importing them into iPhoto.

  • ITunes not syncing photos from iPhoto

"Unkown error" messages are becoming usual for iPod users that we are ignoring them because our iPods are syncing fine anyway. Except for error message -208, the new kid on the block! This error message only pops when trying to sync photos from iPhoto (6.0.5 the latest! Syncing photos from any other folder or not syncing photos at all, does not cause any problem. The syncing never has given me this problem (and I have been syncing iPods with pics for a long time!)
How does Apple answer to this problem? Don't blame the iTunes software, because this is definitively a joint problem you guys have with your software not talking to one another.
I have rebuilt everything that can be rebuilt in iPhoto (thumbnails, library), I have downloaded and installed all the latest updates. Reset and restored the iPod... done! Reinstall iTunes, check!
I have posted messages at the iTunes/iPod forum and... no response! Hope the Apple staff is more friendly here... or at least one of the seasoned users...

You may have figured it out by now. None of the resetting of the iPod or the rebuilding of the iPhoto library (command+option) or permission rebuilding works to solve a -208 error when the error refers to an iPhoto library sync with iTunes. Supposedly, this error occurs with corrupt AIFF files as well. This error will occur on different iPods which try to sync to the same iPhoto library. The iPhoto library is definitely corrupted. Mine was due to a sudden power loss.
NOTE: I do not "Copy files to iPhoto Library folder when adding to library" under Advanced iPhoto preferences, so that my photos don't have a chance of getting messed up (like error -208s). If you do, the steps below may be different for you. Always a good idea to back up your photos.
Here is how I fixed it. All the steps may not be necessary. Go to /pictures directory under your user (or wherever your iPhoto library is located), and rename the "iPhoto Library" or whatever you called it to something else, like "iPhoto Library 2". Open iPhoto, and it can't find the library, and asks if you want to find it or create a new one. Tell it to create a new one, and put at least a picture in the library. Sync with iPod, which should work without error and put the picture on your iPod. Close iTunes. Close iPhoto. Now, to save all your pictures (thumbnails) already in the iPhoto library, copy everything BUT "iPod Photo Cache" folder, which seems to be the culprit, from the "iPhoto Library 2" folder into the "iPhoto Library" folder. Open iPhoto, and all your pictures should now be in the library. Open iTunes and sync iPod, and all your pictures should sync out without error.

How can I sync photos from my computer to iPad2?  When I try, it asks the photos replacing three apps I created.

    You're welcome.
However, can you then organise your photos in i Pad into different categories so that it is easier to access? If that can be done , then can we keep them separately in i Pad so that it can not be deleted when we Sync next time around?
Already answered with my previous post, which is not by category but by photo albums or folders or photos.
Create a parent folder on your computer to store the folders of photos that you want transferred to your iPad only. Select the parent folder under the Photos tab for iPad sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync.
To add another folder of photos to your iPad, place the folder of photos in the selected parent folder followed by a sync.
The named folder of photos in the parent folder will be transferred to your iPad as seperate albums or folders of photos.
When adding a new folder of photos to the selected parent folder to be transferred to your iPad followed by a sync, the existing folders of photos in the parent folder that are already available on your iPad will not be touched or removed with the next sync to transfer the new folder of photos to your iPad.
