Trying to use newer Xerces

I am trying to use a newer version of Xerces (2.5.0) with my web application.
I've tried all sorts of things that haven't worked. I first started off trying
the XML scoping feature using a .ear file but could never get that working (see
my earlier post).
I'm now trying to simply include the jar files in /WEB-INF/lib directory of my
war file here is what is happening
1) xercesImpl.jar and xml-apis.jar in /WEB-INF/lib using prefer-webinf-classes

BTW - I'm doing all SAX, not DOM

Trying to use new nano with old mac

Hi, I was wondering if someone could give me some advice.
I recently received an ipod nano as a gift. Unfortunately, my ibook is from 2001, and i am still running the original OS 10.
From what I have read in these discussion forums, it would probably not be wise for me to try to install OS 10.4 on my computer. However, I believe that OS 10.4 is needed for my computer to be compatible to my nano.
I have hundreds of songs on my ibook, which I would really like to transfer to my new ipod. What can I do?

Apple's minimum specs for the Nano are 10.3.x basically because that was the first version of the MacOS to support USB 2. However, many people, including my wife, are using a Nano with computers that have USB 1. So the real limiting factor is what version of the OS your computer can comfortably run. I wouldn't recommend 10.4 but 10.3 is certainly doable. I know several people running around with the colored iBooks running 10.3. And certainly 10.2 is doable though I don't know if iTunes 6 will run on Jaguar.

You said, "the 4 also has signal and wifi whereas the 5 has only wifi". By "signal", I'm assuing that you mean cellular signal. If so, that means your iPhone 4 is still active on your cellular number and your iPhone 5 is not. Contact your carrier to sort out which phone is active on your account.

Trying to use new 500GB external hard drive for backup for first time

I'm doing our normal Clonezilla Backup procedure and ran out of disk space for the first time. The normal person who does this is on vacation. I put the new hard drive in for the backup, but when I ran Clonezilla it didn't recognize it.
I looked in Server Manger and it shows it as Unknown with a red arrow and not initialized. It's shown as unallocated. What do I need to do at this point? Do you have instructions or a link to instructions? I'm new to working with servers,
etc. I probably need to format the new external drive but I'm not sure how. This is a simple server, without VM's, etc.

How to use new cluster 'cl' commands from c/c++ code

Hi All
I need to invoke cluster commands from c/c++ code and parse the output to retrieve neccessary fields e.g status to be used in program.
e.g
#cluster status
I need to capture output and use it in c/c++ code.
Does any one have tried to use new cluster 'cl' commands from c/c++ code??

The output of the cl* commands is for human consumption and as such (as most administrative commands) the output is not considered stable, so it could change with a Patch, etc.
Instead you should use the cluster api to retreive the information you need.
The Sun Cluster Data Services Developer's Guide for Solaris OS (http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-2972?a=expand) describes the various possibilities, including the C API.
Read especially http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-2972/6n57ngitf?a=view for more details as which functions are available via the libdsdev. Each function has a specific manpage outlining the lib and includes needed as well es which information it offers.
In your example, you can use scha_resource_get() (3HA) in order to retrieve the status of a specific resource (http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-3055/6n5a6lhnl?a=view).

Using New-SCSMRelationshipObject to create System.WorkItemRelatesToRequestOffering

I'm trying to use New-SCSMRelationshipObject to create a System.WorkItemRelatesToRequestOffering relationship object. When I remove the management pack that contains all of my request offerings incidents that had relationships with those objects lose them.
I'd like to keep these relationships, so I'm writing a script that pulls all the data for all objects in our system, and then makes my management pack changes, and fixes any data loss that occurred; I have it working for everything except this relationship.
I found this example of someone creating a relationship for the createdby relationship:

This made me think that perhaps I should be using the projections, so I switched my "source" and "target" object to be the projections, and go this error instead:

I double checked that the target and source class types are all correct, I noticed the relationship's source class type is "System.Workitem", but if you look at an actual relationship object, the source class type is "System.Workitem.ServiceRequest",
however this is also the case with the example above too. I can't any examples of people creating this particular relationship, so if anyone has, I'd love to see your examples, I'm confused why I can't get it to work.

Damn, close, almost thought that was it. I did a little investigation, looks like the source of his problem was that the relationship type he was trying to create was the base type "System.Membership", this little snippit leads be to believe the
one I'm trying to create is "System.Reference". Take a look at the snippit and let me know if you agree. I think other than that, my code in the initial post is correct?

I am trying to use itunes, it will not open at all, have uninstalled and downloaded new software and 64bit for windows. i have an old ipod nano from about 5 years ago. anything i can do, even to view my purchases and watch/listen to music etc?

ok i have a advent roma laptop with window 7. my itunes used to work fine, completely. every time i plugged in my ipod it was ok. recently my ipod was not working so i never bothered with itunes, however i have movies/tv prog that i purchased and would like to view them. i have an ipod nano from about 5 years ago, the problem with thet is, it switches on, but the circular control panel does nothing, all you can do is lock and unlock it - nothing else.
i tried to download new version of itunes, then uninstalled my origonal version, incase it was corrupted etc, i then again tried to down load new version and also version that is windows 64bit. still when i select the downlaod to open as son as it is finnished nothing happens. and now my desktop shortcut has dissapeared. before when it was there, id double click it, nothing, right click to open it, nothing.
im not the best technically minded but i just dont see what im doing wrong here, please help

I could do that, however when I select the icloud button (or whatever the heck it is) I am asked to enter the apple id and password. So if you are suppose to create another one for icloud you'd think it would give you the option at this point which would be logical.

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 running on? Did you have the opportunity to update 12 to 12.1 Update yet using an opened project's Help Menu/Update? If not, please do so when you get the opportunity.

I have tried to just install the new version of itunes from the apple website, it looks like it downloads but after 5 minutes at the end of the install it says 'old version of itunes cannot be uninstalled, please contact support.'?

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

Is it a USB hard drive? USB hard drives have the problem of not giving full speed if they are hooked up on the same bus as keyboards and mice. Double check your profiler to make sure that is not a problem. If it is Firewire, make sure there aren't other firewire devices in use at the same time. I recommend not only keeping a Time Machine backup, but also a clone, and if you do use Time Machine, to make sure the Time Machine drive or partition is at least twice the size of the original drive.

I'm trying to use my older Acrobat 4 for printing files from an older Macintosh with system 9, so that I can store and use the pdf documents in a newer MacBook Air, with OSX 10.9. Acrobat 4 worked previously but no longer works. Any way to fix it?

I am trying to transfer older files from a Mac PowerBook G4, running system 9, printing those documents as pdf, using Acrobat 4. Then those pdf documents will transfer to my newer MacBook Air, running OSX 10, allowing me to store and use them. My problem is that Acrobat 4 no longer seems to work on the old Mac, and I don't know how to fix it. Can anyone give me some suggestions?
