TS1398 I have a work website I use regularly and am unable to get on as it says there is a 408 error but when I do what it says it still doesn't work

I have an iphone 4 and when accessing a particular website it says status 408- the time allowed for the login process has been exceeded. If you wish to continue you must either click back and re-click the link you requested or close and re-open browser. When I re click it still says the same thing. What do I do, and I use this website to check a schedule for work so I open it several times a day?? Thanks in advance

Try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds, or resetting it using the reset option under general. You should also try restarting your router.

The first thing I would suggest is for you to go to the folder containing your catalog, using your system browser. There will be a folder that has the extension .lrdata. Delete that folder, and then try to start Lightroom. If that doesn't work, replace your catalog with your most recent backup.

How do i switch from head phone to mic? I know there is a internal mic, but when i go to system preferences then sound doesn't give me the input option.

You have a MacBook, so your Mac hasn't got a HDMI port and you are using a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter.
There are some Macs which do not support sound over HDMI, and it seems that your MacBook does not support it. Read > About Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapters

I tried your fixes but when I open a new tab, FF still doesn't show me previously visited websites, just gray boxes that cannot be clicked. Any other fix ideas?

To Reset Firefox do the following:

Well, turbo.264 is indeed very nice to have - even for converting full-sized movies. (Nevertheless, TechRadar's latest roundup (see http://www.techradar.com/news/software/applications/6-of-the-best-video-converte rs-for-mac-1074303 ; also linked from another roundup at http://www.iphonelife.com/blog/87/benchmark-excellent-multimedia-converter-handb rake-vs-commercial-apps ) has shown it's still worse than HandBrake in most respects.)
All H.264 files (assuming they are H.264 level 4.1 or lower) are compatible with the built-in Videos app.

It entirely depends on your needs. The top players (AVPlayerHD / ProPlayer, It's Playing, GoodPlayer) all have different strengths and weaknesses. I myself use It's Playing the most as I convert everything into MP4 and simply love the DSP's (brightness / volume / saturation boosting). But the iPhone 5 and the iPad mini should support HD videos.
What I would try is downloading the movies directly to your iPad mini or your iPhone. You will want to do this when connected to Wi-Fi, but you can follow these steps in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519

First off, Apple doesn't support downgrading and it can potentially brick your phone. With that being said, if you created a back up in iOS 7 Beta and are trying to restore it to iOS6, you wont be able to. You need to upgrade first then restore from your backup. Don't be suprised if it doesn't work. There is a very real possibilty you may have to start from scratch.

I thought iDVD was part of the iMovie package.

Apple believes that the entire world has access to fast broadband and wants to distribute home movies to friends and relatives via download (iCloud) rather than mailing them a DVD. The fact that in reality not all users do, has so far had no effect on this policy. If you scream and shout loudly enough down the phone Apple may send you a free copy of iDVD. That worked for some, but is now said to have been withdrawn by Apple. Also, you can complain bitterly here, perhaps suggesting that Apple could have provided a choice between using iCloud and burning DVDs:

Whilst Macs with a Superdrive continue to be able to burn video DVDs, the software for so doing, iDVD, is no longer included in the iLife bundle that comes with OS 10.7 Lion (which also omitted iWeb) or will come with OS 10.8 Mountain Lion. And it is no longer included in the iLife 11 from the online Apple Store: http://www.apple.com/ilife/. Your only solution is to look on Amazon or eBay and try to get an older version that includes iDVD.
However, the vastly more expensive FCPX can burn a DVD without iDVD or DVD Studio Pro involvement, but lack the themes etc of iDVD. Also, of course, there is Roxio Toast.
And if you think Microsoft are any better, their new Windows 8 operating system will not play DVDs, or burn them, unless customers buy an extra upgrade, the company has announced.

1. Update iTunes to the latest version. Plug in your iPod. If iTunes still can't recognize it, then in iTunes in the top left corner click help> run diagnostics. On the box that comes up, check the last two things. Click next and it should identify your iPod.
2. Click on your windows start menu. Type in "services". Click on it and when it pops up, on the bottom of it click on "standard". Now Scroll down to find "Apple Mobile Device" Right click it when you see it and click on "Start". When it has started, close iTunes and replug in your iPod and it should show up.
3. Check the USB cable
4 Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed
5. Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service and verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed.
6. If you just want to add some photos, songs and movies from computer to your devices, you can use an iTunes alternative to do the job
7. Check for third-party software conflicts.

Sounds like Zoom is enabled. Here's what to do.
Use "3" fingers and double tap on the screen to zoom out. then just go to Settings/General/Accessibility and turn Zoom off

My iMac is home to a 400GB photos library currently syncing to a 500GB iCloud a/c. My 3 MacBooks have much less space which I need and seems to be getting used up fast as it syncs.

How do I reduce the size of the library on the MacBooks - I have already set optimise in preferences but it is using up the space available.
What happens when I download a movie - will it automatically reduce the size of the photos library or am I screwed?
