  • Itunes charged me multiple times for the same purchase. A message kept appearing that the bank records did not match my account information and each time charged me 5.16... it shows up on my bank account as a pre-authorized purchase 9 times.

I made a purchase of about 3 songs for the price of 5.16. Well when I was trying to download the songs a message kept appearing saying that "the account inforamtion does not match my bank records". Looking at my bank account 3 days later it shows up under my accout as pre-authorized charges 9 times. The post dates of these charges are not all today and these charges are pending transactions.
Why did they charge me nine times for the same purchase? And why is it charged for tomorrow?

This happend to me to---kept getting msg that info did not match bank records and I tried a few times then gave up THEN checked bank account and they charged me SIX TIMES
of course, you cannot even call them or email...its frustrating..I reported a problem under the songs bought but I have spent over half an hour on this trying to call etc....this is nuts

  • ITunes first won't verify my VALID card information. Now they've charged me SIX TIMES for the same purchase.

I've submitted an e-mail. I've tried calling (here's the gem--they keep sending me HERE). I've gotten nothing.
It's the same problem everyone else has. My credit card information, while valid, isn't getting verified by iTunes. I've gone through every solution I can from my end, and no dice. I know my address is accurate and correct. My card information is accurate and correct.
However, that's not the only problem I'm facing.
I'm going through this problem trying to correct an outstanding balance that I have on my account (since, you know, iTunes is a bit unpredictable with when and what they charge you). I run into the error message, and now I find they've charged my account for the $18.98 balance SIX TIMES.
That's almost $120 that is suddenly missing from my account.
Apple. I'm just trying to pay you. Why make it this hard?
I don't want your textbook answers. I need you to FIX THIS before I lose the entirety of my paycheck for buying two albums.

First, please be aware that you are not communicating with Apple when you post here. The only people from whom you'll get a response are we your fellow users.
Make sure that the address in your iTunes Store account matches the address as shown on your credit card statement exactly. Any difference may cause an error. Other possible solutions that have worked for some:
Putting text in the second line of the address (including just copying the first line)
Expanding abbreviations e.g. St to Street, Ave to Avenue etc (or conversely abbreviating)
Putting the apartment or suite number on the second address line
If those suggestions don't help, contact the iTunes Store and tell them about the problem:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact.html
and with luck they'll sort the problem out for you, though it may take a couple of email exchanges with them to get past the "canned" replies they often send out at first. That will be the same way to contact them about the duplicate billing; there is no telephone support for the iTunes Store.
    Regards.

  • Charged 5 times for the same amount by Pitney Bowes

So for my first purchase ever on Ebay (In this case it was on Ebay.com not Ebay.ca if that matters) I tried to buy the Sennheieser HD598's. This didn't work out as for whatever reason my card kept getting declined. I had no clue why so I decided to try Paypal and created an account at the checkout, still, it didn't work. After trying those two things a few times and making sure everything was in order I just gave up trying to buy them for the time being. I check my bank account balance later only to find that I've been charged 39.11$ CAD by Pitney Bowes 5 seperate times in the span of a few minutes. I've never even purchased anything on Ebay so how is it they can charge me? So I go to check Paypal and it says there's only one transaction wherein 39.11$ CAD was converted into 29.19$ US, and that the transaction was reversed. Despite this it's not showing any funds on either my Paypal nor my bank account being credited back.   So really all I want to know here is what should I do to get my money?

By repetitively pushing a button, you are "buying". Besides that, I went looking at an example of what you were trying to buy. The one I looked at showed approximately $29 US shipping and import fees, otherwise known as GSP, but, why would you see that? All shipping is collected by the seller and they remit to PB? That is perplexing. The other thing I saw on the listing I looked at, was that it was six payments of, yep, $29 each. Without knowing which specific listing you were looking at, hard to tell what is happening. Know that every time you click on a button, a signal is being sent somewhere. As a seller, I have had buyers buy the same widget twice, in error.

  • HT1933 I have sixteen charges in one day for the same amount, $21.19?

Can someone help me with my billing?

First, make sure that you did not inadvertently make multiple in-app purchases. Many apps, particularly games, are free for the base game but charge for additional features such as levels, "coins" and other such add-ons. Check your Purchase History to see if that reminds you as to what you might have purchased:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2727
If you find that these were in-app purchases, to prevent this from happening again, turn off "In App purchases" in the Restrictions settings on your device. For more information, see:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4213
As to a refund, that's not automatic since the terms of sale for the iTunes Store state that all sales are final. You can contact the iTunes Store, explain the reason for your request, and ask, though:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact.html
They're usually pretty lenient in the case of inadvertent purchases, but there are no guarantees.
If the charges are not in-app purchases that you made and forgot but the charges do appear in your Purchase History, contact the iTunes Store and let them know. You should also immediately change your password for your Apple ID. If the charges don't appear in your Purchase History, they were probably fake charges made directly to your credit card, and your card issuer will need to handle those.
    Regards.

  • ITunes Charged me 9 times for 1 purchase and Support has not resolved it

iTunes charged me 9 times for a single transaction and I'm getting no where in getting it resolved.
Nov 21, 2005: Purchased Season 2 of Lost (videos) for $13.93
Nov 21-22 2005: Was charged over and over again, totaling 9 times for the single purchase
Nov 23: 2005: Initial contact to iTunes support; they tell me this is normal that small charges may be applied to your account as 'authorization requests' Of course, these weren't normal or small charges it was billing error that charged me 9 times for a single purchase.
After contacting them again to reiterate the fact that I was charged 9 times for the purchase, my mail is finally read and an acknowledgments is made that something went wrong. They tell me "We have investigated and resolved the issue you reported. Within 72 hours, you will receive a refund for the duplicate charges through your Paypal account, coming from the iTunes Music Store."
Nov 29 2005: I wait patiently beyond 72 hours for all the refunds to be put in place; some are completed but 2 charges still show. One at the time is valid, its the purchase I made. ** (Not valid today because the music shows as not payed for anymore) **
I contact Support on the 29th stating all of the refunds have not come in, they tell me there is nothing they can do and that I need to contact Paypal. "The best way to resolve this issue is to contact PayPal and advise them of the situation."
I talk to a senior person at Paypal and they tell me there is nothing they can do, that iTunes must issue the refund. Nice. Circles!
I write back again to iTunes Support stating that I had contact Paypal and they stated that there is nothing they can do regarding the refund, that Paypal needs to resolve the matter. iTunes writes back:
"We're sorry that you have experienced this problem with your PayPal account. Unfortunately, we will not be able to notify you when the matter is resolved. Our engineers are trying to correct the errors, and we hope to enable PayPal payment processing as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience."
OK, they at least acknowledge there is a problem (even if they are blaming it on Paypal) and that they are working on it.
Dec 05 2005: Follow up today to get a status as to when I will be refunded for their error, I get no update, only the following response:
"We apologize in the delays in processing this refund, and we thank you for your patience."
I follow up stating I would like the full amount refunded; it seems the original purchase is listed as not payed for so I can't even watch what I purchased! At this point I just
want to be refunded so I can cancel and delete my iTunes account.
    Whats bad:
    - Can't reject the charge on my cc since it will get rejected back to paypal, not iTunes/Apple (paypal will then likely just close my account and come after me for the money)
    - Can't reject charges in paypal, they don't seem to do that
    - iTunes/Apple support mails are incredibly canned responses and impersonal
    - I'm at the mercy of iTunes/Apple in resolving this; there is no ETA for them to resolve this issue that they created.
    - I've asked to be called regarding this matter and the requests have been ignored
Any advice to get this resolved would be appreciated. It is has been an incredibly frustrating experience; I don't much like the idea being forced to pay off a credit card charge for services that I have not actually received and which were charged to me in error.
    Mac OS X (10.4.3)

This is EXACTLY what happened to me and many others. Tech support returned most of my money but not all of it. Figure that one out! It is clear no music is downloaded (or in queue), it is clear an unknown error message is produced, and it is clear we, the consumer, are still being charged anyway. Will Apple require a credit card from its customers and alienate those that do not wish to use a credit card? Will Apple insult its customers and make silly suggestions such as 'Use an iTunes gift card' in much the same way a forum moderator has already recommended?
I have an idea: Acknowledge the problem publicly (via email, for example) and fix it in a future update. Customers will be more understanding if they know there is a temporary problem and Apple is working hard to fix it. Oh, and return our money, please!

  • HT3702 i was charged 3 times for the same movie how do i get my refund

i was charged 3 times for the same movie.

You can try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that film and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).
Or (and if the 'report a problem' link doesn't work) then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here.
If it was an audiobook then they are one-time only downloads, to get it on your other devices you need to sync it to them and not re-download it oneach. You can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will refund or credit you for the second and third downloads : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • I'm being charged three times for the same service and I can not use it

Hello, A few months ago I tried to buy Adobe Creative Cloud when putting the data on the card told me that there was a mistake, then I tried other cards ... in short, I'm being charged three times for the same product twice a card and once in another obviously no "mistakes", the problem is that I can not use the product. I want to give low in all three accounts and also be compensated for the time they have charged me three times. Please, I need to solve this urgent problem.
