TS1702 Computer is not recognizing my iPhone and it can't be synched
Recently, my computer is not recognizing my iPhone 4 and so it can't sync. What do I need to fix this?
Be prepared to lose everything on your iPhone but it should be backed up in iTunes so you can restore from your backup.
Try Recovery Mode... http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

the version 11.1.4 of iTunes not working good because it's not recognizing my iPhone and I can't do anything.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features(Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (If this won't uninstall press on)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
See also HT1925: Removing and Reinstalling iTunes for Windows XP or HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error. -
i was updating my iphone 4s but an error occured while updating it. my computer is not recognizing the phone and i cant restore it.
See this support document for help. You may have to do this more than once. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

great, but my MBA did not come with an installion disc, only a tiny jump drive that is not recognized by windows; and I can't get the contents of that burned to a DVD either. So how the heck do I get the drivers into Windows 7? My MBA has bootcamp 3.0.4.
Here's what I get:

I just purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 but my PC is not recognizing my CDRom and I cannot download the program. I tried copying the files on the program disc to my hard drive but get a message the installer will not work. I have the redemption code and serial numbers. Can I download the program online somewhere? If I download a trial version for instance will it allow me to enter my serial number and use it for the full program?

Computer is not recognizing my iphone
I recently purchased a new computer & it is not recognizing my phone. I'm afraid I'll lose all of my apps, music, pictures, etc... I've uninstalled iTunes & reinstalled & nothing is working. Please help
Check this article: iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your phone. Only if you back up manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
Do this:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your phone to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your device without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your phone for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the iPhone for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.
There is 3rd party software out there, but not supported by Apple, see this thread:http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2013615&tstart=0

Ipod is not recognized by itunes and I can't fix it
I updated to 1.2 sucessfully by just leaving it plugged into the computer while I took a shower and then when I got out it said sumthing like "your ipod is updating, just leave it plugged in" or whatever, and it finished. I didn't have any problems with that and I had to get off the computer so I did.
Come the next time I get on my computer, I plug in the ipod, open itunes, and it says "itunes cannot read the contents of the ipod "DYLAN'S IPOD". Go to summery tab in ipod preferences and click Restore to restore this iPod to factory settings."
This is really getting on my nerves cause I reset it by unconnecting it from my computer and under the ipod menu, but it still says I have to restore it from the ipod preferences menu. THERE IS NO IPOD PREFERENCE'S MENU ON MY ITUNES(7) OR ON MY COMPUTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE PLEAS pelase please PLEASE!!!!! help me get my ipod working again. I just want me music back, plz?
Ipod 5th gen and windows xp Windows XP 30 gig ipod video, got it 4 christmas last yearthe same thing happened to me, and no, itunes doesn't recognize it.
ephpod also doesn't recognize it, and neither does ipodwizard. i removed itunes and installed 6.0.5 and that also doesn't recognize it.
i downloaded an older ipod updater exe (from 3-23, before it became integrated into itunes 7) and even that won't recognize it.
i went back to itunes 7, and when i run an itunes diagnostic i get all green lights except the bottom, which means itunes can't tell that it's hooked up.
but i see it in my computer, and the details still say that it has the data on it.
also, when i try to use it normally there are no songs on it. the details say 0 songs, etc, but still says 22gb of space taken.
i'm running windows xp, service pack 2, itunes 7, and am using a 5g 30gb video ipod. the ipod says that it is firmware version 1.2 -
TS1363 my computer is not recognizing my iphone 5
I got a new computer and it was all working now my Iphone 5 wont recognise
Device not detected in iTunes for Windows
Keep in mind that iDevices are not backup devices. Syncing a device to a new computer/library will remove all content from the device and replace it with content from the new computer/library. Copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer first. -
New computer itunes not recognizing my iphone
Greetings,
I just bought a new Intel core i5 imac, and set up the new itunes to connect to my library which was located on an external drive. The transfer went smoothly and everything works fine except that the new itunes does not register the existence of my iphone when I connect it to the computer. For the moment I am unable to sync the phone. I looked in iTunes>Preferences>Devices and my phone is listed (5 times) in the Device Backup list. Any ideas how I can get iTunes to recognize my iphone?
Thanks in advance,
PeterSolved it thru more google search. Just re-downloaded the latest version of itunes (no need to uninstall first). That did the trick.

Replacement Ipod 1.4 not recognized on PC and Updater "Can't mount Ipod"
I just received a replacement Ipod mini 1.4 which is formatted for Mac. When I run the most recent version of the updater, I get an error message that states "Can't mount IPod".
My Ipod no longer shows up in the "My computer" menu when I connect it to my PC, the only place it shows is in the actual usb hub in the device manager.
I tried all the actions in the following link to no avail (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61711).
Please help!
Note: I am leaning toward the illiterate side of computer literacy so please bear with.

Computer suddenly not recognizing device
My computer is not recognizing my iPhone 5 when I plug it in to transfer purchases and update. I have had the phone for awhile and it was working just fine.
Great! It's not the first thing you think of, but my philosophy is "when in doubt, reboot." What probably happened is the AppleMobileDeviceService crashed. This is the easiest way to restart it.

I have connected my IPod via the USB port, and even my computer is not recognizing the IPod. How can I help this? I have just downloaded an audiobook and now I'd like to downloading it to my IPod.
Uninstall iTunes and all of its components by following this guide: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925, then reinstall iTunes. This will not trouch your iTunes library or data.

iphone 4 is not recognized by itunes and is only on emergency mode, keeps telling me to connect to itunes but when I connect iphone to computer it does not recognize it
Did you try recovery mode? Hold down the home button as you connect it to iTunes. iTunes should pop up a window that says "iTunes has detected a device in recovery mode" and give you the option to restore.

Elements 6.0 on Mac not working
A couple of weeks ago I had a disk problem and had to reformat and restore from backup. However, it appears that the filesystem type I chose (JFS, mixed case) won't work with Elements, so I can't use the uninstaller. How can I fix this?
