Hi i tried to restore an iphone 3g now im stuck in recovery. nothing i do works.

Errors trying to restore iPhone 3Gs on iTunes 10 with a Leopard

My phone is a paperweight now.
A few weeks ago my phone froze up on me, I rebooted and tried to restore it to no avail. When I tried to restore it I had an error code 1600. Then it worked.
Yesterday, it was working and I clicked on an email and I got the Black Screen of Death. I was not the email because I had read email from that person before and no problems. I tried uninstalling and reinstalliing iTunes both 10.4 and 10.3.1 but that didn't work. Everytime I connected up to restore it I would get different error codes: 9, 14, 21, 1600, 1601, 1602 and 1604. Most of the 1600's refer to Windows and I have a Mac. I tried to recharge my phone with a Dell at work but I stopped when I saw that it was not charging the way it did with my other Dell (from a previous job where I would do that and it would just charge.)
Does anyone have a solution?

I would like to know if there is a better to fix this since this iphone has been jailbroken. Google search only shows stuff that talks about installing software that has to do with jailbreaking. I just need to restore back to normal. Thank you!

Hi, I have a problem with my old Iphone 3G, I upgraded to a Iphone 4 ages ago and just kept my old phone in a drawer, now I want to give it to my niece, so decided to plug into Itunes to reset it ready for her, it said it needed to update and download, it did that, but failed and said to restore it, but I keep getting 1015 error when it goes through the restore.
Any ideas and options other than going to Genious Bar ?

If this is your phone, it appears that you had either loaded the iOS 7 beta on it and it is now expired or you are not trying to restore the phone correctly. Did you attempt to update using something other than the standard procedure in iTunes? You cannot install a custom iOS file.

I purchased a 2nd hand iPhone 3G and I read to fix the problem of it being stuck on the Apple logo to do a restore. Well, everything was fine and now it won't restore and I get 1015 error. What should i do?

1015 error: There are 4 possible causes of this error:
The activation server truly is unavailable. Rare, usually fixed within minutes.
Your antivirus or firewall or router's firewall is blocking access to
gs.apple.com on ports 80 and 443.
Your iPhone is jailbroken or otherwise hacked.
The computer you connected to during the restore/update was
used to hack/jailbreak some other iOS device, and its

Tried to restore iPhone 3G - error 1015

I bought a second hand iPhone 3G. It worked fine but had all kind of personal info on it. Wanted to restore to original settings via iTunes, but now I keep getting an error message: 1015 and the phone is not functional any more. It merely shows the charger cable and indicates that I need to reconnect with iTunes. I tried several times, alway get the message: an unnknown error ocurred: 1015
