TS3694 iTunes 11.1.4 I install issue

During iTunes 11.1.4 I received the following error message "R6034, Apple attempted to load C runtime library". I removed iTunes and tried reloading only to get same error. What should I do?

  • Windows xp itunes install issue

I am attempting to install Itunes using Windows XP at Service Pack 3 with all the security updates installed. The instal begins and during the final process of setup, I receive the following error message and the Itunes instal backs out and stops.
Error message, " These is a problem with this Windows Installer package. Aprogram run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor".
I am looking for some advice after working on the Apple and Microsoft website's trying to find a solution.

Thank You B Noir for the helping hand in reapiring my problem in loading Itunes.
I ended up working with an Apple Service Tech who had me delete all the programs associated with the Apples Itune install. Quicktime, Apple Application Support, Apple Modile Device Support, Bonjour and Apple Software Update.
Each of the programs were un-installed with no issues until we started the uninstall of Apple Software Update, which your note indicated could be a cause for the install issue.
Using the Windows program "Fixit" downloaded off the Microsoft website, we determined that the registry keys for this program had become corrupted. We used Fixit filtering down to an install repair module inside if Fixit to remove the damaged program from my PC's registry then Fixit uninstalled the Apple Software Update program.
Once this was done, we were able to successfully instal Itunes using the latest Itunes install packaged found on the Apple website.
    Thanks Again for your advice.

    From TS3694:
    Error 20, 21, 23, 26, 28, 29, 34, 36, 37, and 40
These errors typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. Use the steps to troubleshoot security software issues to resolve this issue. In rare cases, these errors may be a hardware issue. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
Also, check your hosts file to verify that it's not blocking iTunes from communicating with the update server. See the steps under the heading "Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > Mac OS X > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store." If you have software used to perform unauthorized modifications to the iOS device, uninstall this software prior to editing the hosts file to prevent that software from automatically modifying the hosts file again on restart.

You should be able to simply visit: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ to download iTunes, and run the installer to overwrite your previous version...

I don't think this will fix your problem with restoring your iPhone 4 though. That is likely a seperate issue.
but i can do it with any windows?
Yes, you can theoretically restore your iPhone with any computer running the most current version of iTunes (10.6.3) unless there is some other issue.
    I get error code(21)
According to this support article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694#error21:
"These errors typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. FollowTroubleshooting security software issues to resolve this issue. In rare cases, these errors may be a hardware issue. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service."
Do you run any anti-virus or third-party firewalls on your computer? Try disabling them and trying the restore process again. It may be possible that one of these security applications is interfering with the iPhone's ability to authenticate with Apple's servers.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if one component won't install normally.
If needs be, the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility (MS Installer "Fixit") may be able to help force through the installation.

  • Windows 7 (64 bit) iTunes 9.2 Outlook 2010 Sync Issues

I’ve noticed bunch of conversations here about issues with the new version of iTunes NOT syncing with outlook contacts / calendars but none of them seem to be resolved. I also have lost my calendar sync since I installed the new iTunes. I have un-installed / re-installed iTunes, tried creating a new PST file, created a new mail account, tried pretty much everything I can think of and nothing works. I have wasted more than 23 hours of my time playing with trying to fix this and I am getting pretty fed up. My question is has ANYBODY actually made it work. I fear we may be wasting our time meaning that there is a bug that no one at Apple cares to acknowledge. Thoughts?

    Hello,
I've been searching through the forum, but did not find someone having a real solution in my situation having the problem as described above. I defintly CANNOT delete all my recurrent appointments! I have about 10.000 elements in my Outlook calender, because I'm really using it for planning my whole business day. Isn't there another solution?
I was syncing my iPad-calender with MS Outlook (2003 SP3) successful during the last days, but "suddenly" (I think, it was after the iTunes Update) the syncing process was silently stopped as beeing successfull, and no appointments were synced anymore.
I already followed the rules to resetting the syncdata history of iTunes and also forced to overwrite the iPads calender, but it still remains as before.
Then I decided to delete the calender by stopping the calender syncing, I mean, I deactivated the hook and then iTunes asked, if I will delete all the data on the iPad, where I then agreed to, as you also describe. Then the calender was successfully emptied, but activating it again after syncing, the OLD state is synced back to the iPad and not my currently modified scheduled appointments from Outlook. This is a miracle, because these are old/deleted data!!! It seems the iPad is just doing a "undo".
I already tried the "Help -> Start diagnosis" feature, this said, everything is fine. So, now I don't know, what to to?! I just want to have my calender synchronized!
Changing the files "ssleay32.dll" and "libeay32.dll" by updating OpenSSL or copying from the iTunes "http://...\Apple\Mobile Device Support"-Folder did not lead to any changes :-/.
    I'm using iTunes v9.2.1.4, iPad iOS 3.2.1, Outlook 2003 SP3.
So is there someone having some more ideas or giving me a hint, where I maybe could read somthing about a possible error in a log or something like that? Maybe, only ONE appointment is "ill"; how could I detect it?
    Regards, Andreas

  • Itunes 10.1 will not install and Rollback v8.2 will not recognise my Ipod!

    Hi,
I recently updates to itunes 10 (running nano 4th gen) and since then my computer has become a constant error message and my ipod has become a paper weight.
Whilst installing I10 I get error messages saying could not open Key unknown\components\DA42BC89BF25F5BD0AF18C3B9B1AEE8 verify that you have sufficient access to that key.
I searched through the support forum and did everything that was advised to confirm access etc. I tried to reinstall but got the same message again followed by "Apple application support not found" and then "the program can't start because core foundation.dll is missing from your computer".
Again searched the message boards and tried everything suggested but with no luck.
Ok i said to myself - I need to rollback.
I managed to install itunes V8.2.1.6
When i go to open it i get 2 messages come up that state "The program cant start becuase ASL.dll is missing from your computer" If i click ok on both message and then try to open itunes again it will open. PHEWWWWW.
However, Now I cannot sync my ipod.
Itunes will recognise it, if I try to do a restore I get the message "The ipod could not be restored, An unknown error occured (1436)"
The only help I can find for this is to update to the latest itunes (which I cannot for tech issues).
I have done a reset on the ipod both hard and soft but no luck.
The support I received from apple was basically a message saying that the support they offered didn't cover these issues!!!!!!!
Is there anything that can be done to sort this mess out or should I just consign my ipod to becoming a paper weight.
    Any and all suggestions welcome.
    Thanks in advance

try the procedure suggested in [this|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=12581713&#12581713] thread.

  • Itunes 10.5 won't install on my Windows 7 64 bit.

Please Help ! Ive Tried Everything i can think of
Whenever i try to update my itunes to 10.5 i get:
Can Someone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me solve this problem

Yes.  Please give us something to go on other than a complete reinstall of Windows 7 (Microsoft's solution to the issue behind this cryptic error).
At least acknowledge that the issue lies with Microsoft and an error in upgrading/installing the Visual C++ 2005/2008/200x Service Pack.
A client would like to install iOS 5 from their common Lenovo X61 laptop, but iTunes 10.5 will not install.  I had to reinstall iTunes 10.4.x just to regain access to his media.

    Hi Tamekia,
I am sorry to hear nothing has worked yet. I have looked up some additional information and possible solutions. Follow the steps in this document to perform a level-three uninstall, register the Windows Installer Service, and then reinstall the HP software. An uninstall and reinstall of the software deletes and overwrites any of the files that might cause the error and resets the Windows Installer. HP recommends that you download the latest software from the HP Web site to remove any files that might be causing this error.
Level-three uninstall, and register the Windows Installer Service
Note: The title of this document is not specific to the issue you are experiencing or the operating system you have, but the 3 steps and instructions are what I suggest we do to resolve the issue you are experiencing.
    Hope this helps.

  • ITunes 9.2 will not install...

I attempted to update to 9.2 itunes and it didnt work. I then uninstalled itunes completely and attempted to reinstall without success.. I have tried multiple times and have cleared cookies and my temp folder.. still not working I am getting a long message with a ton of numbers and letters and Windows in it. This happens pretty far into the process

Many thanks, Morgan. Wasn't sure if you were getting one of those, or one of the UNKNOWN registry key messages.
The sort of error you're getting is generally caused by underlying problems on the PC that can also prevent Windows Updates from installing. So my main strategy with them is to try to fix the Windows Update issues. If we can get updates working again, that generally fixes the iTunes install issues +en passant.+
Head into your Windows Update and open your Update History. Are a lot of recent failed updates showing up in the list? If so, doubleclick on the failures and check for the alphanumeric error code in the small box that comes up.
If the error codes in there are also predominantly 80070002s (or 80070003s), try the following Microsoft troubleshooting document:
    [Windows Update error 80070002|http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Windows-Update-error- 80070002]
After that try stocking back up on any Windows Updates you're behind on.
After you're fully stocked up on updates, try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • Itunes 10.7 will not install

I'm running 64-bit Vista Ultimate and the latest Itunes update has failed to install multiple times.  My son's laptop running 64-bit 7 Home Premium and it took multiple times for the update to complete successfully.  I have chosen the Download Only option, but I continue to get a Windows Installer error.  It looks to me that Apple is having problems with this update in Windows.  Please let me know if others are having these issues or if they have managed to work through it.  Thanks.

I had the exact same problem when I would click update I would get error 2324, and when trying to uninstall I would get a error too, I tried using 'Revo' to install but the program that I found that worked for me was:
    http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
Click run, then click on the recommened option and select itunes, once selected itunes it will remove its install files, then once it is done you can install the new itunes.
    Hope this works for you!

  • Itunes 7 WILL NOT Validate INSTALL   PLEASE HELP

Anyobody know how to fix this?
Quicktime 7 is working fine, but whenever I go into the itunes installer, it says "validating install'
    and then just stops!
A message comes up then saying
"errors encountered before itunes could be configured"
    What the heck?
and also, I had a older version of itunes, but its deleted.
But in the add/remove programs, it still says its there, although its taking up NO memory (cuz its not really there!)
and it wont let me remove it, its just there.
im confused and very mad, i got a new nano on Thursday and HAVE to have itunes 7 for it
    thanks for your help.

Quicktime 7 is working fine, but whenever I go into the itunes installer, it says "validating install'
with that one, let's try getting an itunes 7 installer log to the Apple engineers for a look.
    1. Open a command prompt window. (Start menu -> Run. Type in "cmd". Hit return.)
    2. Drag and drop iTunesSetup.exe onto the window so that the full pathname of the file is at the command line prompt.
    3. Type in a space, then the following line:
    /l*v C:\log.txt
    4. Hit return.
    5. The installer will create a log file:
    C:\log.txt
Find that file and send it as an attachment to this email address.
in the email to Roy, be sure to include the following information:
    - A link to the thread on Apple Discussions where the issue is being discussed
    - The username you are using in the thread
    - The version of iTunes you are using or trying to use
