TS3899 I cannot send email from my I pad it sends from my I Phone and laptop but wont send from ipad.  i have deleted the email and reinstalled it and still cant send mail.I have contacted my internet provider and they say all my settings are correct.

In the wee hours of the night I had an idea and downloaded OSX again and that seems to have fixed my problem. I wish I'd thought of that last week!

    Why do you need to access your email?  To reset the password?
    If you're trying to change the password, you don't need to go to your email.  If you know the answers to your security questions, you can reset it without using an email, as explained in the first section of this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5787.  If you don't, you can contact Apple for assistance by going to https://expresslane.apple.com, then click More Products and Services>Apple ID>Other Apple ID Topics>Lost or forgotten Apple ID password.

    Most likely you are suffering from a bug in iWeb that doesn't let you publish websites if an image you have added to your site begins with space. You can either search for that image and remove it.

    Thank you Meta, but I could not get the calendar and contact sync with Gmail to work. Apple support already suggested to use Google or a Windows PC. Maybe I should actually reset and try my old Windows PC. Seriously, ... can this be the solution after a Mac OS update for pure Apple users?

    Try rebooting your router and or cable modem. Unplug it/them for about 30 seconds and then plug back in. See if it works then.
    Reboot your iPad as well.
    Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

    Go into your email account's settings : Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , tap on the account on the right-hand side, go into Account, then SMTP (under Outgoing Mail Server) and try filling in your email account name and password (they might show as 'optional' at the moment) and see if that helps

    I am unable to send outgoing messages with a specific email account.  I have checked my settings with both my provider (Cablevision/Optimum) and with Apple's online check system. All are the same as I am using. Any ideas?

    BTW, Optimum does not support secure email (TLS, or Transport Level Security). That means that if you check email using a public WiFi network (such as optimumwifi) anyone sharing that hotspot can capture your user ID and password. So you should never allow the phone to check email at a public WiFi location (e.g., Starbucks).

For some reason, while the cloud appears in my library, the CD's that I downloaded (popular ones that itunes recognize) are not showing up on my ipad2 and my iphone4s. When I purchase songs from itunes directly they show up on all i devices (with the cloud icon). In my itunes library all the new downloads from CD's have the icloud icon. However, none of these downloads are showing up on my ipad and iphone as stated above. All my settings are correct.     I have deleted the email address attached to my Apple ID. I know what the email address is but it is non-existant. I thought I remembered the password but apparently it is incorrect? When I go to the App Store on my iPod and click my account to try and sign out. It does nothing and the button is faded out. When I try to download a free app it asks for the password for the old account with a deleted email attached to it. How do I sign out of this account on my iPod so I can sign in to another Apple ID to download apps?

    The user name and password are in two places. Make  sure they are correct in both locations.
    Settings>>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>>your email>>
    First spot is here under INCOMING MAIL SERVER
    Below this is OUTGOING MAIL SERVER
    Select: SMTP smtp.comcast.net>> PRIMARY SERVER :smtp.comcast.net>>second location of user name and password
    Here is the second place that the user name and password must be checked.
    I had changed my password in the first spot, but not the second spot. I had been receiving the same error message. This fixed my problem.
