I have purchased additional icloud storage and now when I try to back up it says. "Last Backup not successful" No reason or additional information.

If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again. -
i want to ask my icloud storage and backup is 3,3 GB available from 5 GB is it also because the apps i have been purchased took that much space?
Note that Photos in your Camera Roll are also backed up to iCloud.
I have found most of the time, this is what is consuming a lot of the iCloud space.
You should regularly copy the photos from iPhone to computer.

You can then sync only the photos you want, back to the iPhone, using iTunes.

I purchased extra icloud storage to back up my phone and phots. Purchased a new phone and went to pull my photos from icloud and only a portion trasferred to my new phone. How do I get all of the photos moved to my new phone?
Not photos, just data synced with iCloud shown in Settings>iCloud. If you don't have sufficient storage to back up to iCloud, back up to your computer instead using iTunes (connect you phone to your computer, open iTunes, click on the name of your phone in iTunes, go to ths Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click Back Up Now). Also transfer your purchases to your iTunes library (connect your phone to your computer, open iTunes and go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases). If you have photo stream photos older than 30 days tha you wan to save, save these to your camera roll before backing up (tap Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon -- box with upward facing arrow, then tap Save to Camera Roll).
When setting up your new phone, when given the option choose Restore from iTunes Backup and restore the backup you made earlier. -
If i purchase more iCloud storage, will it allow me to take more photos to keep in my photo library? Or does iCloud storage just count towards photostream?
Sorry, thats wrong. I just installed iOS 8.1 and got an error saying that it requires 5,6 GB of free space, but I have only 2,6 Gb free space in my iCloud Account.
You will need to pay in order to use iCloud Photo Library in order to use it for a huge collection of photos. 5GB is not very much.
Edit: I though you were talking about iCloud photo library.. I got that wrong. -

It never will be. That's cloud storage. It has nothing to do with the amount of storage space on your device. That is limited by the hardware you purchased and cannot be changed.

Whoa, it sounds like you're confusing two very different things.
iCloud initially comes allowing 5GB of free storage (for backups, etc.).
Your iPad (or are you talking about an iPhone in the wrong forum?) comes with some number of tens of gigabytes of storage, which cannot be added to.
So something doesn't make sense in your comment. -

You should configure the ipad to factory settings and set up as 'new'

I downloaded the update but it not installing it keep saying update is Unavailable at this time
Backup your device in iTunes first. After backup disconnect the device. On the device for to Setting > General > Update and launch the update there. Make sue you have it plugged into some power. iTunes seems to be having some issues with the update. I have update two iPhones and two iPads this way.

The iTunes Store will direct you to the same article. As Hackintosh said, first delete the track from iTunes, allowing it to move the track file to the trash. Then in iTunes on your Mac, sign into your iTunes Store account and go here:
In the window you'll be taken to, make sure that the Music tab and "not on this computer" are selected, then locate the defective track in the list and click this button next to the track name:

Purchased extra iCloud storage but nothing backed up
Hello all,
I recently traveled the UK and Europe for six weeks and used my iPhone 4s as my camera. I took so many photos that at one point I physically could not take anymore without purchasing more Cloud storage... so I paid for $20.00 a year of more storage. I was then able to take more photographs. I assumed that this meant these photos were being backed up to the Cloud.
Also, multiple times my phone said it had not been backed up in weeks... yet I had it plugged in, locked, and connected to wifi every single night of the trip. My phone was stolen after 5 weeks and I recovered absolutely no photos, despite the purchasing of more Cloud space.
Is there anything I can do to retrieve these photos?

SpencerThe only photos in iCloud are your camera roll photos, which are included in your backup by default, photo stream photos from the last 30 days, and any shared streams you created or subscribed to. Also, only camera roll photos in your backup would require additional storage space as photo stream and shared stream photos don't use storage in your personal iCloud account
If you restore your backup that should recover camera roll photos that were on your device at the time it was backed up, and signing into your iCloud account should download photo stream and shared stream photos.

That wouldn't necessarily ensure that your phone was being backed up daily. Any number of issues could cause a backup to fail, including intermittent or poor wifi connectivity, a corrupt backup that couldn't be updated, or something included in the backup that was interfering with the backup. When you are alerted that your device isn't being backed up you should try deleting your existing backup and backing up again. If that fails, try excluding items from your backup until your can identify the one that is preventing a successful backup. -
