TS4036 I have two iphones that the icloud info was merged. if i delete the acct from the second phone will the phone numbers be deleted too.
I have two ipones that are using the same icloud acct. If i delete the acct from the second phone will his information be deleted also
His information won't be deleted from iCloud, but unless he's careful it will be deleted from his phone. What he should do is first save any photo stream photos that he wants to keep on his device to his camera roll (tap Edit, tap all the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll). Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted. Then sign in with a different ID to create a new account, turn on his iCloud syncing and choose Merge to upload the data to the new account.
You'll then have to go to icloud.com on your computer, sign into both accounts and delete the data you dont' want from each account.

I have one itunes account with mulitple libraries for each device (one iphone, 4 ipods). The one iphone is connected via the cloud. everytime a new song or app is added to the account it is placed in all of the libraries. I want to add another iphone to the acccount when I tried it replaced the contacts with the contacts on the iphone already on the account. How do I prevent that from happening and can I have two iphones on the same account and use the cloud on both
thanksiTunes will remember the settings for each device after you set them up for the first time.

Can I have two Iphones on same iCloud account?
I use two separate Iphones on my Itunes account for easy access. However, I would like to activate Icloud on both phones but I'm guessing each phone would need a separate acount otherwise they would just sync the same info (calanders, contacts, etc.) correct?
But could I at least use the Find My Iphone app on the second Iphone if I just leave all the other Icloud options off? If I activate Find My Iphone on the second phone, will it just show two Iphones in the menu when I search for the Iphone on my Mac, or do I need to set up a second Icloud account for the second phone?
Thanks,

That will work just fine. -
Can I have two iPhones on one iCloud account?
I would like to put my wifes iphone on my icloud account so in the end we will have 2 iphones and one macbook on the account is that possible?
You can but it's usually not recommended. If you do any synced data will be merged to the same iCloud account. For example if you both sync your contacts and calendars with the same iCloud account you will see each others contacts and calendar events on your phones. Also, you can share an Apple ID (account) for iTunes store purchasing and still have separate iCloud accounts. In australia i bought my iphone 4 (4.3.3) from a guy who had it given to him with his vodaphone post-paid plan as an upgrade, but sold it to me brand new in box. I called vodaphone to unlock it, but they said just put my sim in and it would work fine (because they needed a vodaphone number to unlock it, but they unlock iphones for free anyway so it wouldnt of actually been locked) so i put in an optus sim and everything was perfect. I bought an o2 sim when i arrived to england last week, but it is not working. it says no service when i put in my o2 sim card, and that it is not supported when i plug it into itunes to activiate. what do i do??
Expanding on what Tim said to make sure it's clear, only the carrier to which the iPhone is locked can authorize unlocking. If Optus is the original carrier, as would seem to be the case, O2 would not be able to unlock it. Only Optus can authorize the unlock, so you'll need to contact them. They say, though, that only the account holder can apply for unlocking, so you might not be able to get it unlocked and will have to work through the person from whom you bought the iPhone.
For more information, see the Optus FAQ on unlocking.

HT204053 can I have two iphones on one icloud account?
can i use 1 icloud account for two iphones?
sure, as long as you don't mind sharing information - like contacts calendars and some other stuff. There is no limit as far as I know to amount of Apple devices used with same icloud account.

Get a separate Apple ID for one of the phones. Or turn OFF iCloud contacts synching on the one you do not want contacts to synch.

How do I delete items stored in the cloud and clear it so I can get it working? It will not store any more photos. I cannot use it. It is almost full. I don't want to buy any more storage at this time. I delegated some photos on my iPad and MacBook and nothing changes.
# Yes, if you go to accounts.firefox.org, sign out, you will now be signed out.
# Sign back in, and you will be asked to save the password you entered.
# This will save the password and autocomplete if you have this option turned on.
I am not exactly sure why the menu did not detect the password change or if it was stored incorrectly after you changed it? But after storing the correct password you can manage any duplicate passwords in the password manager.[[Password manager - Remember, delete and change saved passwords in Firefox]] -
how do i prepare my iphone 3 to sell ..
i've never been able to download new apps so i don't want to lose the apps that are on there
am i to reset all settings? or erase all content and settings? or reset network settings?Only the apps that are part of iOS will remain on the phone.
If you're going to sell it, use "Erase All Content and Settings".
If you're selling it, what difference does it make to you if the apps get erased? You don't have the legal right to transfer any apps you bought to anyone else. Not to mention the fact that you stated you have never been able to download new apps...
Why don't you just re-post the question in your native language. There are so many contradictions in your post that i don't believe you're conveying the questions you think you are. -
I have two Iphones that share the same email. we got new 4s phones. Now if one person checks/deletes email, it does not show up on the other phone
and it is taken off the server.
How can I fix that?
I want it to go to both phones and to remain on the server even if I delete it off my phone.
ThanksYou must be using a POP3 account like verizon.net
using IMAP like gmail will help some of your problem, not all...
even on IMAP accounts once one person checks the email it will not show as a "new" message anymore... and if deleted it will still be gone from both phones...
There are settings you can change in the advanced section of the IMAP account settings that designate the phone NOT to delete messages at all as well... thought this is also an option on POP3 account settings too. -

I have two iphones with different phone numbers that I use. I have one of them set up on icloud now, but do not know how to set up my second device on icloud. Both of my iphones use my same Apple ID for purchases, etc. Is there a simple way to add a device to my icloud account? Thank you in advance for any help someone may be able to give me.
To move one of the phones to a different iCloud account (if that's what you want to do), go to Settings>iCloud and turn all synced data to Off. When prompted, choose to keep the data on your iPhone. After everything is off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. This will delete the account from the phone but not from iCloud so the other phone will not be effected. Then set up a new iCloud account with a different Apple ID and turn iCloud syncing in Settings>iCloud back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new iCloud account.
You will then have to go to icloud.com and sign into each iCloud account separately and delete any unwanted data that you don't want on the phone syncing with each account. -
Can you have two separate icloud accounts for two iphones that sync with the same imac?
can you have two separate icloud accounts for two iphones that sync with the same imac?
Welcome to the Apple Community.
Yes and no.
There is no issues at all if you use two user accounts on the mac, each can sync with one of the accounts.
If you are using a single user account, you can add the second account as a secondary account in settings > mail, contacts and calendars and you can then sync mail, contacts, calendars, notes and reminders from the second account, but not documents and data, back to my mac or photostream. -
If you registrate one Apple ID for each iPhone/iPad, you'll get 5GB on iCloud for each Apple ID, right? I have two iPhones and one iPad with the same Apple ID, why can't I get 5 GB fo each of them?
Actually, everyone missed one point, when a device is priced, the cost of icloud storage space for that device is also included in it that is why they are able to give you 5gb each for each user ID, in nutshell there is nothing free coming with apple device purchase, it is paid for. What they are trying by giving only 5gb per user ID irrespective of the number of devices used is pure broadlight looting, they take money from you when you buy each device and give you nothing, This is a case of goods and services bought but not fully deliverd ie apple can be suied for discreminatory treatment towards it's users. I wonder why no one tried this yet in America where everyone sue everyone for petty things..... there is no one to take up this issue? . if tim got any love for the guys who shell out money for the devices his company makes, he should be implimenting this as priority before someone wake up from sleep and sue him.
